APPEARANCE,Standing at 6 feet tall yet weighing only 120 pounds, Clyde is a very lanky individual. Typically this is hidden somewhat by his long dark blue robes, used to denote his alliance with magic. He keeps his pale white hair short but it still remains messy, as he rarely cares for it besides cutting off pieces.
He is not what anyone would call attractive, but he carries himself with a cold confidence that some may find intriguing, leaving him somewhere in the middle. Those who know him wonder if it is possible to find anyone with paler skin, as Clyde is about one step away from being a ghost, or a sheet of white paper.
As for clothing, Clyde's dark blue robes, hood included, are typically all that is seen. He wears a simple cloth shirt and pants underneath, and a circlet upon his head. The circlet is silver, adorned with sapphires. His shoes match his robes' color, and are reinforced with an added layer of fur for warmth.
WEAPONS,Staff: A focus for his magic, and a blunt object to boot. Wooden, with an iron head.
Dagger: A dagger. Iron. Used for cutting.
ITEMS,He carries four books around with him, three thin ones and a larger one. They are kept in a bag at his side, along with any other items he deems necessary, and some alchemical materials for salves and balms.
ABILITIES,Slot 1: Winter's Fist
Shooting out of Clyde's staff comes a fist of ice magic, chilling the target and inflicting damage. Mostly ineffective against creatures used to the cold, though since it is magical in nature it still does some damage. 2 post cooldown.
Slot 2: Winter's Fury
Clyde twirls his staff over his head, conjuring up a fierce storm in a 10 meter radius, centered on him. Anyone in the radius, ally or enemy, takes minor damage each turn within the blizzard, and movement is reduced to a crawl. Clyde himself cannot attack or move from his spot whilst the blizzard is active, or the blizzard will dissipate. The blizzard may be kept active for up to 3 posts, but regardless of duration time there is a 6 post cooldown starting when the blizzard dissipates.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Superhuman Endurance Level 2 - The human ceases to feel pain completely. They'll still flinch, but they won't even feel the stab.
Mighty Wind Level 2 - If the human is killed, they will come back, having a moderate amount of strength left. This only works once a thread.
HISTORY,
About 150 years ago, a noble family, the family of Ottokar got fed up with bureaucratic nobles vying for power and the head of the house, Martin Ottokar, quickly built a decent home for his family up in the mountains. From there, the Ottokars moved into a nice mountain village, all but giving up their names.
By the time Clyde was born, the Ottokars had long forgotten who they used to be, and had been long used to be common people, who had only kept their namesake through the males born through the generations. Their house was still there, though it was never much, but it was sturdy, and there weren't holes in the walls to let the cold in. Clyde was raised in these walls, a decent life, but Clyde was a reader. He studied with the town shaman and spent his night hours under candlelight studying.
When he was about 13 on his way to becoming a full-fledged mage, he stumbled upon some records in the house. Intrigued, he scoured through the records to find old family treasury accounts. It was the first time he had ever encountered any record of the previous life once achieved by his ancestors. However, when he took this information to his parents, they were quick to deny it, saying that they were always mountain dwellers. Clyde was a studious man, and knew they were lying, but why? A question that hounded his adolescent years, through his completion of the shaman's training, when he became a full-fledged mage. Of course, this had the effect of whitening his hair, a consequence of the winter magic flowing through his veins. Not long after, he confronted his parents once more about the family's past, which they of course denied again. Enraged at their lies, Clyde practically tore up half of the house looking for something else to throw in their faces, finally exposing their lies for good. What he found was the ancestral journal of Martin Ottokar, the ancestor who moved them away from their manor. It detailed his reasoning and the house project, and the family's decision to leave.
By then, Martin was 19 and the journal was the evidence he needed to present. His parents couldn't hide the truth from him any longer. Martin reluctantly accepted his position as the town's shaman and mage. However, part of him wanted to live as his ancestors did. Clyde was never a man who wanted power, or to rule over servants and be the head of a household, but he knew that he had a family who gave up their title, and he wanted it back. He kept those desires hidden for over six years until his 26th birthday, when he vanished from town. With him he carried the family's old records, Martin's journal, and a couple of other tomes he had found during his time as shaman. His goal was to reclaim the title of noble the Ottokars once held. A year and a half has passed, Clyde does assorted tasks for people to try and fund his way up to the manor, but it has been reoccupied for over a century and he has bills to pay now and it a slow task, but one he is determined to complete.
