Red is a classic example of a yandere. She's childish and goofy and quite lovable; she's like a small child in this regard, as she's clingy and wants all eyes on her. When she loves, she loves beyond comprehension, and it is this love that is her undoing. When someone she loves doesn't pay attention to her, she becomes spiteful and bitter and prone to extremely creepy statements. Sometimes she'll kill the person her love is spending time with. Sometimes she'll kill the person she loves. When the latter happens, she mourns them for a day, then moves on. There isn't anything she can do about it, Red thinks. She doesn't realize that she killed the person, either. She thinks she's a banshee, and that she simply predicts that someone is going to die. She doesn't realize that she's the one making them dead.
Red also happens to think she's immortal. She'd dead, after all, and if she's already dead, how can she die? Because she thinks she's immortal, she gets into trouble whenever she can, as if to flaunt her immortality. She likes to tell people that she's dead, to see their reactions; because of this, though, she doesn't really like other Poes. Red likes to think that she's special, and other Poes ruin that for her. It makes her angry, and when she's angry, she's violent.
She's a child, really. She's sweet and caring one moment and ripping wings off of butterflies the next.
APPEARANCE,
Red certainly has an... interesting appearance. Her massive rainbow wings are the initial things one would notice; however, they're pretty much useless. She can't fly or anything, they're just really pretty. She has a child's stature and tends to dress in red; her eyes are red as well. Her hair is blond and cropped short, except for the waist-long ponytail tied up on the left side of her head.
WEAPONS,MS: Redemption. A broadsword that is not only taller than Red, but probably weighs almost as much as she does. Nevertheless, she wields it like it's nothing. The sword hardly even looks like a sword; the edges of the blade are curved in countless ragged hooks, the guard is just shy of being as broad as her shoulders, and the pommel is covered in barbed spikes. She keeps it strapped across her back.
Redemption is magical in that it's a physical object, but its magical capabilities allow Red to use it. In a way, it's her link to the physical realm. It deals the same amount of damage as a normal sword.
ITEMS,n/a.
ABILITIES,The Big Bad Wolf. On command, no matter where she is, an oversized (a few inches taller than Red, and beefed up with muscle) spiritual wolf will come to fight for her. This wolf will remain by her side until killed, after which there is a five-round cooldown before she can summon the wolf again. Red calls this particular wolf Viserys. This wolf can toggle between corporeal and incorporeal forms, allowing him to fight in both the physical and spiritual realms. There is a three-round cooldown between toggles. When in spiritual form, Red can use Viserys as a mount.
Viserys essentially has the same amount of power and health as an average wolfos.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Phantasm, Level One: The Poe can access an ethereal form.
Energy Drain, Level Two: The Poe can recover a moderate amount of health with a six post cooldown.
Scream, Level Two: The Poe's scream lasts for one turn, during which the opponent cannot move or attack, but can still defend. This has a six turn cooldown.
HISTORY,
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who always wore a hood. The hood she wore was crimson red, and for that, everyone she met called her "Little Red."
Little Red, as a child, was a bully of the worst kind -- she was small and frail, and so she couldn't really harm anyone physically. Instead, she went after the other children emotionally, making their lives hell. And whenever the children tried to tell anyone about Red's antics, she simply turned on the waterworks and everyone believed her.
So the children came up with a plan.
They all knew that Red, being at the impressionable age of thirteen, was willful, arrogant, and believed she could do anything. So when they told her of a special spell that would make her all-powerful, she tried it. But the children led some adults to Red while she was in the middle of the spell, and upon seeing the girl -- with a marking in blood, a dead cat, and black candles surrounding the corpse -- they marked her as a witch. She was thrown in prison while the leaders of her village debated on what to do with her. They debated and debated and debated, and after about a year they put the case on hold.
Red was on hold for three years after that.
Finally, they decided not to risk anything, to put the seventeen-year old to the stake. They tied her up and burned her.
They were a superstitious lot, these villagers. They didn't know anything about magic. They certainly didn't know that candles and dead cats couldn't actually do anything without some actual magical energy thrown in, of which Red had none. They didn't know any of that, but they burned Red anyway.
It made the girl angrier than she could bear. And when she died, her anger was so potent that it brought her back as a Poe. In her death, the maturity of her psyche regressed, giving her the mental state and appearance of a young girl.
For fifty or sixty years she's drifted about the world, falling in love and killing her love and forgetting her love. Being burned to death made her positively terrified of fire, so much that she has a panic attack if she even smells smoke. It's her only mental weakness, really, because she thinks she's immortal and she's only a child. She just wants someone to love and who will love her in return.
