Shavir entered the arena, his heart pounding as his life mistakes spread through his mind like a poison. Taking in a deep breath, he calmed himself, and contained an emotionless face. "Wer tides re shifting, froneel ui persvek vi seilor gavir, ehis ui filki krehl". He yelled out, knowing that his actions would prove something in time. He was sword by his blood to be loyal.
He had no sword, only his bare hands. He had left the sword for Titania to give to his daughter. Standing in the center of the arena, he awaited Eliam, his combatant.
Today, sealed his fate.

Eliam walked into the arena mere moments after Shavir, dressed in a full suit of segmented armor, his sickles hanging by his side. He stopped a suitable distance from his opponent. "I'm sorry," he said. "I am so so sorry. You will not have died in vain. I swear to you."
And then the sickles were in his hands and he slipped into a ready position. And yet his satyagraha blanketed the entire coliseum. A feeling of peace so thick you could almost taste it in the air. The grief Eliam felt at what he was about to do was crushing him. That peace would soon be broken.

Crossing his arms, the peaceful aura surrounded him. He nodded, awaiting for Eliam to make the first move. "Do not mislead, nor betray me." Shavir knew his words may not have meant much to Eliam, considering his death was near, but he had faith in a certain someone. Pressing his feet into the ground, he closed his eyes, then reopened them, prepared for a battle that he was hoping he would not have to throw.

Oh good, the fight hadn't started yet. Nightmare had been trying to get to the coliseum as quickly as possible. What Eliam might not have known was that Nightmare was fully aware of the fight that was happening. I mean, this was a duel for one of the dreadnought positions, it was something that he couldn't not know about. I mean, what was going to happen? Eliam might kill Shavir, show up and go "I am your new dreadnought" out of the blue? No no no no, that wouldn't fly, Nightmare had to know as a required duty of his position. It also meant that he couldn't really interfere with the whole thing. All he could do was just watch and see what happened.
So for now, as he arrived at the coliseum, he allowed his large, black form to perch itself at the rim of the area, watching the whole thing from above, keeping his heads disguised, leaving only one for all to see. Looking at the fighters, he had to admit, he felt rather confident in the Dragonborn's ability to fight off this challenger. Though to be honest, it kind of bugged him that the guy had actually accepted a challenge for his title. It wasn't necessary, but thanks to his acceptance, it really was a fight for the title. It annoyed him. Nevertheless, he felt that his lieutenant wouldn't have much trouble destroying this foe, unless the man threw the fight or something.
Win or lose though, he would welcome the new dreadnought if he did indeed fall, though he had to admit, he definitely wouldn't be crazy about the new guy. It wasn't that he seemed off or up to something or anything like that. It was just that the man would have killed his lieutenant. That kind of thing can really cause a bad first impression, at least with him anyway. He rather preferred it when his lieutenants weren't out getting killed and their positions taken by people he didn't even know.

The Emperor, the object of Eliam's buried hatred and the target of his ambitions had arrived to personally spectate the fight. Turning to the massive dragon, Eliam bowed to the man who was his ruler. For now.
He turned back to Shavir, spreading his arms wide, holding no guard at all. "The first strike I give to you. Do not hold back. Trust me."

[ooc: Lets wrap this up, I'm super busy lately with work and don't wanna hold you up)
Shavir nodded, and immediately dropped into an offensive position. Charging with literally everything he had, he concentrated his energy into his hand, forcing demonic pulse onto his enemy. He planned on simply making a direct hit and going from there. He was prepared to change form when necessary, but for now he saw no need. He hopefully wouldn't die to quickly, but if Eliam was even half of what he acted to be, then he would be quite a force, even for a dragon.
