Toast would like to add some things in here now.
I think Brouda makes a good point. I, personally, have no problem with characters dying -- many of them get into fights rather frequently, and some of them kill/fight for a living. It makes sense that they could die. I also like having a choice, though; I'm not a super-intense person when it comes to RP, and I love mushy moe-moe threads as much as the next girl. Not every situation a character gets into is going to be life-or-death, so I think Brouda's idea is a good one.
tl;dr - Toast's vote goes to Brouda's proposition.

Just remember, this is far from a perfect system. Lev made some good points; people can easily find a way around this. I say run it for awhile, see how it works, make it better, add new rules, ect, ect, ect,. And after that if the site, or Nightmare thinks it's perfect make it permanent.
Another note: What about the rupee reduction? Is that still staying?

I've never been on a site where death wasn't allowed. That's how life goes, you live, then you die. If you blatantly put yourself in a situation where your bound to die, and then your like "nah mang I'm still alive" then chill out. For one, if death isn't allowed then a lot of attacks are ruled out for fighting. Like let's say if I have the option of stabbing someone in the head for a quick kill, but I can't do it so I have to take the second route and hit him in the chest which takes even longer then said stab to the head. Well, what I'm trying to say is if your in a fight, let it be death enabled.
Obviously if it's just a spar, you should have no problem agreeing with your partner that there's no killing in this thread. I honestly don't know why this is getting discussed, death should be allowed truthfully. - SPADE.

DE| Death Enabled* The entire thread and all Involved instantly becomes a target for death. This allows players to get the full experience from a fight, and the role-play all together.
NDE| Not-Death-Enabled* No matter what happens, the entire thread is a "safety" zone. This means, no dragon can come up and be all "lolol, me gonna eat you!" and bite off another players head or vital organ. When fighting, death isn't a question. The players will fight, one or both may suffer some broken bones, but will ultimately never die.
Just my two crystals in the matter*

Well I believe I've seen all I need to see. SO!
Here is what is going to happen.
1) Death without consent will be enabled (for all intents and purposes, act like it is now).
2) Revives will be reduced to 5 rupees. I don't care if people don't like this, there are some things that I have to go "because I say so" on. I'm not going to give even the slightest chance for trolling because of this.
3) If it turns out this -IS- being used just to troll anyway, the system will revert, logic be damned.
4) I myself am going to be hard on IC reasons. Getting called fat in the cbox is not a reason. Not stroking your ego is not a reason. The other player not heaping praise and weaving epic songs about your character is not a reason (unless the character is a massive egomaniac ICly, and it's happening ICly). The other player not posting to your thread is not a reason. Though that's void if the thread is already in a fight. But yeah, those are some examples of what I mean.
So yeah, as time goes on, the system will be implemented and whatnot.

So, I'm going to use my Mystical Powers of Prophecy to make a few more predictions: Second PredictionThe change to the system will pass, however as Night said, the reduction in the revival price will make it just negate it entirely, making it so that there is no tangible difference between the new system and the old. 2) Revives will be reduced to 5 rupees. Well, I've given it time. Support seems to be unanimous, and like I said, if it passes, I'll just reduce the revivals a crapton. (20 was a ballpark figure, remember. I'm genuinely considering 5 - 10) If anyone has an objection to this, might want to post it now. I'll give it two days. proph·e·cy (prf-s) n. pl. proph·e·cies (-sz) 1. a. An inspired utterance of a prophet, viewed as a revelation of divine will. b. A prediction of the future, made under divine inspiration. c. Such an inspired message or prediction transmitted orally or in writing. 2. The vocation or condition of a prophet. 3. A prediction.Nightmare stated in the post above the prediction he'd be doing precisely that. I'd say your powers are less prophecy and more, repeating what the dude above you said. On that note.
