Despite being twin sisters, Freya and Risa are actually surprisingly different people. Risa is very much the dominant one, Freya being given over to a far more submissive attitude. Risa leads, Freya follows. Despite this, if anything, Freya has more frequent ‘urges’ than Risa does. She is also less in control of them. However, being a much less confident person, she is very prone to simply fanning herself, and making a great number of comments about how cute someone looks.
She is also something of a paradox, despite her feral appearance, she is actually one of the single most gentle people you will ever meet. In some ways, it’s as though the personality that resides within Risa should have been placed in Freya’s body, and vice versa.
APPEARANCE,Like Risa, her sister nymph, Freya’s body, her very essence, exudes feminine sexuality, every aspect of her seemingly designed to entrance and beguile. In many ways, she pulls the same characteristics of her sister into greater extremes. More feral looking, fuller of bust, wider in the hips, more slender of the waist, with the same porcelain white skin, she somehow manages to look extraordinary next to her already mind-bogglingly alluring sister. Her shortness only accentuates her dramatic, flaring curves, that aren’t so much hourglass shaped, but that hourglasses are trying to emulate her.
However, where Risa seems to adhere to a more normal manner of dress, Freya seems to be far more connected to her ‘wild side’. Typically, she wears something that appears to have been shredded by some sort of wild beast. Rumour has it that it used to be a singlet. Others say it was a tunic and a skirt. Others say it was actually designed to look like that. Needless to say, conversation about her clothing generally comes down to the sheer lack of coverage it gives her almost ridiculously exaggerated feminine frame, being called ‘indecent’, ‘inappropriate’ and ‘hot’ in equal measure.
A number of things remain virtually unchanging about her appearance. The first is the green hair, that like her sister, extends down to the small of her back, which shimmers in the light, flickering between shades of green as quickly as you can follow them. Like her hair, her eyes seem to shift through a spectrum of colours, browns and greens mixing freely together. Amusingly, the thing that people notice first is not her jaw-dropping physique. It’s the presence of the animal skull on her head. She claims it keeps her in touch with nature. Everyone else just thinks she’s weird.
WEAPONS,Bizarrely for someone so inherently connected with the peaceful tranquillity of nature, she is often seen carrying a sword. Nobody knows why. Not even her. She just does.
ITEMS,She has the skull. And a line of crimson tribal war paint smeared beneath her eyes, only adding to the faux façade of her being a warlike person, despite the fact that she’s more than likely to hurt herself in any form of combat.
ABILITIES,Shoushitsuten; The Vanishing Point
Something that has aided her in fleeing the vengeance of a very annoyed wife many a time, Freya is able to vanish in a flurry of lotus petals, reappearing up to fifty feet away, and tripling her movement speed for 2 posts. She must, however, be able to see the point she teleports to, or have a strong memory of the place. She is also not able to teleport within 5 feet of an opponent. They get in the way of the petals. [3 post cooldown]
Terepe-to; Transition
A handy ability in so many ways, Freya is able to freely move through any substance, be it stone wall, tree, the floor… Clothing… She is able to maintain this state for 4 posts. She isn’t able to rematerialise within another object, as she is automatically cast from the object in question, hurled onto her rump, usually followed by a pout. [4 post cooldown]
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Ethereal Beauty
When out of combat, such is their sheer, unbridled beauty, even the most stoic of individuals is often captivated, and has their more base desires brought to the forefront of their thoughts, to the point of distraction. In combat, they may focus this allure into a very real and tangible distraction, often cued by a batting of the eyelashes, reducing all damage they inflict by half for 2 posts. This ability has a 6 post cooldown.
Spirit of Nature
Being connected deeply to the ever-enduring majesty of nature, Nymphs are naturally very resistant, if not immune to ailments which would corrupt and wither other lesser beings. As such, they are immune to all poison, disease and aging effects, magical or otherwise.
HISTORY,
Nymphs are somewhat unique creatures, and something of a paradox when you actually think about it. No mother. No father. They simply come into being, creatures of immense beauty, born from the convalescence of magic in certain areas, particularly around sacred groves, and other places of nature. Or simply at random. In this instance, it was at random, in a sacred grove. Coincidence, no?
Freya was formed at the same time as her twin sister Risa (Freya insists she is the younger of the two.), some eighty-seven years ago, give or take a few months. For the first few months of their existence, they knew little, except that nature was their mother, their father, their protector and guardian. Or at least, that was what Freya understood. Risa was always the more… Adventurous one. In oh so many ways. The one who started the frolicking. The one who started the exploring. The one who brought them into the world of humanity.
That first time that they wandered, almost haplessly into town, clad in naught but their skin, had been a startling, but strangely right experience for Freya and Risa. More so for Freya. She had been the first to discover her true nature, though only by scant seconds, and in a somewhat different manner. Where Risa was more akin to a predator, Freya had simply enticed a man into falling for her. Who then in turn complimented her. Who then in turn fell for him. All very shocking considering she’d never even seen a man before in her life. But it had all felt so right. Pity the woman who claimed to be his ‘wife’ (Though in the way she behaved, perhaps mate may have been a better word.) didn’t agree.
After being ousted from the village, they began to wander, once again led by Risa, Freya meandering behind, enjoying herself more in the wilderness than in the towns, cities, villages and homes of others. Her sister had other ideas. She seemed to like this… ‘Civilisation.’ To her, it seemed too limited, to constrained. Too stifling. She did agree though, that it was a plentiful supply of ‘love interests’. Yes, she really was that unaware of quite how effortlessly the pair beguiled the opposite, and on a number of occasions, the same sex.
Elohim was a different matter entirely.
Even Freya, so wild and free, was somewhat intoxicated by the life he gave them. Such luxuries, granted at but a whim. A stable life, for several years. Plague, however, blighted not them, but their lives. They could only watch as Elohim’s tribe was ravaged by the terrible disease, leaving them untouched, even as Elohim himself withered and died. So deeply connected to the sanctity of life, their inner selves screamed in agony, and they were forced to leave. It is one of Freya’s only regrets, that she was unable to bid her final farewells to Elohim, so deep was their suffering.
Since then, they have been unable to settle for particularly long. Death, illness, jealousy, all have claimed their lives, as they build, rebuild, and rebuild again. For eighty years, this cycle repeated. Now, however, they have a more permanent residence, her sisters more driven mind with respect to luxury eventually leading her to purchase their very own home. One that Freya has made every effort to make as natural as possible. To the point where she has actually set up a shop, selling all manner of botanicals, all cared for by her loving, tender hands. More than one man has entered beguiled by one woman, and left entranced by another. It certainly keeps customers coming though!
EXTRAS,
Freya, strangely enough, has a massive affinity for botany. She has a natural understanding of how best to allow virtually any form of plant life to grow, her store being lined with vines, the very air heady with the natural perfume of flowery scents, mixed together in a near euphoric cacophony of sensual stimulus.
