(OOC: If you don't post for three days without a warning, you get a strike. If you get three strikes, you forfeit. If you get two strikes in a row, you forfeit.) As you enter the arena, you are immediately greeted by cheers of spectators. It's a small arena, square, with marble stone. Obviously not meant to match the grandiose nature of the coliseum, but it'll have to do. Around you are rows upon rows of seats, filled with spectators, watching your every move.
Your opponent stood in front of you. The magic barriers that would protect the audience from you two went up. The barrier was a unique thing. It was in fact, powered by the audience, strengthened by the mana each member had, little or small. Not to mention that the thing was blessed by Princess Zelda herself. There pretty much wasn't a force in the world that could shatter this thing, not without godlike power backing it up.
With that under the way, it was time to roll. The announcer brought the attention of the world to you and your opponent.
"And for our first round, we have... Akira Shikigami, the Lonely Shadowed Assassin..." The announcer trailed off.
"WHO THE HELL LET AN ASSASSIN IN HERE?!"
Another voice chimed, apparently there were two people, so this fight apparently had some form of commentary. Yay.
"Now now, as you said, we have to preserve the integrity of the games. Even if we don't want to."
"But, he's a self confessed murderer!"
"But we have to follow the rules. I'll finish. Versus... Cameo! The Crazed Guard-Dog!" [/blockquote][/size] BATTLE TIME, GOOOOOOO!
LONELY SHADOWED ASSASSIN AKIRA SHIKIGAMI VS CRAZED GUARD-DOG CAMEO[/size][/right]

Akira was annoyed, of course nothing else was new. The crowd was the worst part. Why they needed to have an audience was beyond him. The only reason they were here was to see two guys beat the crap out of each other. He would never get the enjoyment of watching people acting violent towards one another. He walked over to his side of the arena with his hood casting a deep shadow over his eyes. He didn't enjoy crowds, the sooner this tournament ended, the better. He eyed A familiar face walk up to the other side of the arena. The guard dog has arrived as it seems. Before when they met he was on the run and hesitant to attack the boy. However, this time he wouldn't hold back. The faries will hopefully make sure nobody died.....

He wasn't quite sure why he had signed up for this, but it was definitely too late to back out now. No cloak, no mask, just simple little Cameo. Simple, nervous little Cameo. Finally he stepped up to the middle of the arena, mentally preparing himself. Soon enough he saw his opponent. He seemed... familiar, actually. And then it hit him.
Is that the... What?! Well, at least he had a name thanks to the announcers. Akira. Maybe he won't recognize me without the mask... Dwelling on the matter serves no purpose. I don't have to let him escape here. After nonchalantly waving to the spectators, he cracked his neck and stretched a bit. He knew the both of them had weapons on them, but he kept his hidden for the time being.
He spread his legs slightly to take a more battle-appropriate stance, waiting for his opponent to make a move. "Well, mister assassin, let's see what you're made of~" Mustering up some form of witty banter was all he could do to distract him from the fact that he may very well die where he stood. Akira wasted no time. He subconsciously brought out five throwing knives and immediately launched them at the opponent. The knives were already flying towards cameo before he could even finish talking. Akira was very serious. The knives were directed towards four parts of cameo's body. Right arm, left arm, right leg, left leg, and lastly the head. If by some off chance Cameo managed to dodge that, he always had his trusty whip wire launching towards Cameo on his left side.

He might be fast, but there was no way he was going to be able to unsheathe his sword and deflect all of those projectiles. He did the only thing he could do avoid getting destroyed thirty seconds into the match- he fell.
He fell backwards, crashing into the ground. If Akira didn't know him before, he surely would now. Mainly because Cameo slowly merged into the ground, eliminating all traces of his existence. Normally he would just reappear behind his opponent, but he was sure the assassin knew that by now. But at the same time he couldn't help but think that his combat was more distance based. If he couldn't show up behind him, and he couldn't show up far away, he did the only thing he could do- he materialized in front of the assassin.
Without hesitation he shoved his hands in his pockets. When he removed them, a black knuckleduster accessorized each hand. He quickly clenched his fists, aiming a left hook at his opponent's head.[/style] [STYLE=font-size:10px; padding-left: 12px; font-weight: bold]tags: Akira notes: Fade CD: 3 Posts credit: template made by oxymoron! of btn[/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:courier new; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; border: 2px #9E2121 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;][/style] |

Akira was well aware Cameo's ability to sink into shadows. It was the one ability that he found the most...troublesome out of all those he had previously seen from Cameo. However, that didn't mean he wasn't prepared. The second he disappeared Akira already had his twin swords stabbed into the ground, one in front of him the other behind him, he was sure to bend down low and wait for the attack to arrive. He suspected the attack to land behind him like it did last time they fought, but corrected himself knowing that to be foolish thought, as the boy had an option to appear anywhere.
He gripped each sword, causing him to face sideways. Preparing himself. As if on cue he spotted a knuckleduster out of the corner of his eye. He immediately tore the swords from the grip of the ground and thrust his sword against the knuckleduster with as much force he could muster and quickly sidestepped literally milliseconds after the contact.
Perfect. Its time. Gravity seemed to intensify around Akira and then...release. His swords suddenly moved in unimaginable speed and accuracy. They seemed to launch in every direction possible.
After he finished the huge wave of attacks he separated himself from Cameo and landed on the other side of the ring.

There wasn't really much he could do other than doge and deflect the occasional swing. By the end of the attack he was covered in small cuts all around his person, but whether or not he had a serious injury was unknown.
He quickly removed his jacket and tossed it from the arena, placing his knuckledusters in his pants pockets. Now that he only had a white shirt on his torso he was able to easily draw both of his swords from the back of his belt, and that's exactly what he did. There was no time to catch his breath and look over the cuts that spread across his arms and chest, so he did the only thing he could do; watch as Akira stood at the other side of the ring and prepare himself.
It was his turn, that much was apparent, so he took a second to plan his next move. Then again, maybe rushing in wasn't going to cut it. Instead, he slowly circled the edge of the arena, swords in hand...erm... hands.[/style] [STYLE=font-size:10px; padding-left: 12px; font-weight: bold]tags: Akira notes: Fade CD:2 Posts credit: template made by oxymoron! of btn[/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:courier new; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; border: 2px #9E2121 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;][/style] |

Akira didn't wait for Cameo to plan his attack as he circled the edge of the arena. He immediately bombarded him with as many bombs as he could carry. (OOC:you knew it was comingxD) His eyes were more serious then they had ever been underneath the cowl over his head that still provided his face with descent cover. He needed the rupees...he barely had any money at all, despite of all the gear he had owned. The measly dried beef and scraps of food were not good enough. Seconds after he finished launching the bombs he drew an arrow, waiting for an attack to emerge from the heavy smoke on the other side of the ring.

[atrb=valign, top][style=border-left:4px solid #9E2121; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; padding-left:8px; text-align:justify; padding-right:8px;]Bombs. Again, bombs. I wonder how many he carries on him at a given time. Cameo sighed in relief at the familiarity of the attack, but it was an attack none the less and he had to react. Trying to elegantly weave in between each and every bomb would look extravagant, but it wouldn't be practical or safe in the slightest. Instead, the boy decided to use his Goddess-Given Sheikah speed in a much more useful way; sprinting to the side.
While this method wouldn't allow him to use the smoke created by the bombs to his advantage, it did let him focus on his opponent, who seemed to have a bow drawn and prepared to fire. Well, charging would just mean I would have to change my momentum and avoid an arrow. Then again, remaining at a distance would probably end up in him throwing something else for me to avoid while I got hit with the arrow. Either way there's probably going to be some pain... Unless this works, at least.
The entire thought process that went through Cameo's head did so while he was sprinting in an arch, slowly making progress towards the assassin. When he was a decent distance, he crouched for a split second before hurling himself into the air. As he descended towards his opponent, he sheathed one sword and swung the other aimed for his neck. With his free hand, he sent a dark chain flying towards the man, but whether it was to restrain or distract him was unknown. Akira knew what he was doing. The 'random' bomb toss was not one of his best plans, but it was a plan all the same. Everything Akira did had a well thought out strategy behind it. The plan was that the smoke from the bombs would give Cameo leverage in the fight. A lesson Akira always learned is that people would use the smoke and try to attack out of nowhere. Which he knew would inevitably occur. He saw the boy mere seconds after wondering when he would attack. He swiftly changed arrows in the blink of an eye to a bomb arrow. He knew that he would receive Cameo's attack in exchange for the attack he was about to use. He didn't care, his enemy wouldn't walk away unscathed either. He pointed the bomb arrow at Cameo seconds before the chain reached him and let the arrow shoot straight towards the guard dog.

[atrb=valign, top][style=border-left:4px solid #9E2121; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; padding-left:8px; text-align:justify; padding-right:8px;]Like many times in this fight, Cameo didn't have much time to react. He heard the chain latch onto the wrist of his opponent, but he saw them change arrows and fire directly at him. There he was, ready do dig his sword into the shoulder of his enemy, but the cost was simply too high. A direct hit from that bomb arrow would probably throw him out of the match entirely, and he couldn't let it end like that. At this angle he would probably miss the assassin's neck anyways, so landing the attack wasn't even that vital. Instead, he withdrew his sword and redirected it towards the arrow. He was barely able to slice through the bomb, the resulting explosion sending him flying backwards.
As he hit the ground, Cameo rolled on his shoulder and slid across the floor of the arena, using the chain binding him and Akira as leverage to stand up. There were noticeably more cuts along his body, and a few burn wounds on his arm from where he swung at the arrow. Without thinking, he wrapped the chain around his arm a few times and yanked as hard as he could, thrusting his sword forward. With any luck he would be able to use the momentum from the explosion along with the chain to send his opponent flying towards him and then impale him with the sword.[/style] [STYLE=font-size:10px; padding-left: 12px; font-weight: bold]tags: Akira notes: Bind: Active (1 Post left) credit: template made by oxymoron! of btn[/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:courier new; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; border: 2px #9E2121 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;][/style] |

Akira remained calm and focused, even when he was getting launched into a sword. He knew that he didn't have very many options. There wasn't much he could do about the present situation. Sure he could attempt to try to move Cameo's sword in another position with his whip wire, but at this present speed he would be unable to do so. So he did the only possible thing he could. An eye for an eye. If Cameo wanted to impale him with his sword, he would do the same.He brought out his Katana and pointed it directly at Cameo.

He accepted the fact that he was about to be seriously injured, mainly because the same was about to happen to Akira. He gritted his teeth and stared at the assassin as he felt a blade pierce his flesh. It went straight through the right side of his stomach, but that didn't concern him right now. All that mattered to him was the sight of his sword doing the same to Akira. It was a beautiful sight, really, but he had no time to enjoy it.
Without hesitation, he stepped back and brought his leg up to kick the assassin in the stomach. He winced when he felt the pain of the sword sliding back out of him, and the blood that started flowing immediately wasn't helping his situation-hopefully pulling his sword out of his opponent would yield the same results. If one of them didn't win this soon Cameo would surely pass out from blood loss, so he couldn't waste valuable time. As the shadow chain binding them together shattered and disintegrated, he quickly unsheathed his second sword. This was it; Akira was right in front of him and they were badly injured. Now was the time to act, and he was taking the opportunity to do so. The Sheikah stepped forward and unsheathed his second blade, both swords getting enveloped by shadows as he quickly swung at the assassin.[/style] [STYLE=font-size:10px; padding-left: 12px; font-weight: bold]tags: Akira notes: SC and Bind CD: 5 Posts credit: template made by oxymoron! of btn[/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:courier new; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; border: 2px #9E2121 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;][/style] |

The pain of Cameo's piercing sword shot throughout Akira's body. Dammit. The pain was nearly unbearable, but he was forced to ignore it. He growled as he felt himself being kicked back. He performed a backwards somersault as he was in the air and found himself in front of Cameo once again. Cameo's sword launched towards him. There was no way he could withstand the extra power the shadows provided for long, as he only focused on speed and agility. However he was forced to block the attack coming towards him anyway, and sharply spin himself in a 360 turn in attempt to get behind him.
However there was more to this attack then met the eye. A split second before he blocked the attack gravity intensified around him.
Akira swords flashed in blinding speed once again, and launched in a barrage of attacks.

[atrb=valign, top][style=border-left:4px solid #9E2121; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; padding-left:8px; text-align:justify; padding-right:8px;]A small grunt escaped Cameo as the blades were aimed his way again. He was done defending; his time was running out so he either won soon or not at all. He slashed upwards deflecting the first strike, but there was no way he could block the rest. He stepped backwards and faded into the ground, barely getting nicked on the shoulder by the second blade. For a few moments, the only trace of Cameo was the small blood splatter from getting impaled; there was no sign of the Sheikah himself.
The crowd was finally silent for those moments, anticipation steadily growing. Of course Cameo was going to pop up behind Akira and attempt to slit his throat, right? Well, normally, yes. Ending it like that would be clean and efficient, but this was a tourney battle. Instead, the boy shot out of the ground like a rocket, both swords aimed for the assassin's chest/stomach with super-human momentum. His intentions were to stab through him with both blades, throwing his his opponent over his shoulder as if he were throwing hay with a pitchfork. Moving this fast caused him to strain his wound, more blood flowing out of it.[/style] [STYLE=font-size:10px; padding-left: 12px; font-weight: bold]tags: Akira notes: Fade CD: 3 Posts;SC and Bind CD: 4 Posts credit: template made by oxymoron! of btn[/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:courier new; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; border: 2px #9E2121 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;][/style] |
