It was nearing noon on the third day of Merik's journey when he spotted the Black Gate off in the distance.
"About damn time..." he growled as he looked up at into the cloudless sky and the sun beating down before stirring his horse back into motion towards the wall separating the Emperor's territory from the rest of the desert.
A short time later, once the Gerudo had reached the base of the wall, he looked up at some of the figures high above and called out.
"Merik Dragmire, King of the Gerudo, has come to speak with Nightmare Darklight, Emperor of the Ainur!!!"

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the shadows lie...
"Yo."
It was all that came out of the Emperor's mouth. He was already there, and in actuality, the gates didn't even need to be opened and the servants didn't even need to be alerted. Nightmare just happened to be behind the Gerudo King. He wasn't really bothered by the fact the man came in riding on a horse either, he just figured the guy had some business here and would soon be on his way. Granted, part of him had a feeling that Merik was here to yell at him over something, but he figured there was always a chance that he would be pleasantly surprised. Either way, yelling or not, Nightmare decided that it was be best to greet him.
Though it was kind of creepy how if you called for him here, he just seemed to magically be behind you.
Nightmare stood there, with a rather bored expression on his face. "I take it you need something from me? Or are you just here to get mad over something I might have done?" Really, it was kind of a bummer. Did no one ever drop by just to say hi? Ah well, there wasn't much that could really be done about it now, was there? Either way, he was already here, he had acknowledged the Gerudo King's arrival, so it'd be kind of rude to just back out now. Plus who knows? There might have actually been something pretty good in this. Nightmare decided that he would stay quiet though, until the Gerudo King responded.

Merik wasn't too surprised when the response came from behind him, he had never been behind the wall despite the fact that all the desert was technically still his dominion.
Soon enough I'll have a nice long stroll through there, but not now... he thought as he brought his horse around to face Nightmare.
"I have a plan to bring some much needed life into these desert wastes but if I hope to have a chance at succeeding I'm going to need your assistance...well not your assistance specifically but that of some of your people. Does this hold any interest for you or shall I just save my breath and move on?"
(ooc: so... I never saw that this updated... YAY ME!)
