PERSONALITY,She is the quiet type simply trying to get by with her life. She is very timid. Always alone, but not exactly by choice. Normally, she is very trusting and likes to see the good in all, but as of late she has been finding that difficult since she has grown to fear judgment of others. Essentially, she is still very childish since she was robbed of a good portion of her childhood. She feels close to nature, as it is the only thing that does not reject her on a daily basis. She has a curiosity that sometimes manages to get her into trouble.
Although she has been trained in combat, she generally tries to avoid it. She will defend herself when entirely necessary, but highly doubts her ability and prefers to simply up and run rather than taking the risk. If someone seemingly helpless is in trouble, she will step in, but very reluctantly.
APPEARANCE,>image<
Aiyume embodies a rather average build, standing at about 5’5 and weighing roughly 110 lbs. She is fit, due partially to the fact that she is constantly on the move and typically travels by foot, but still somehow maintains a physical appearance of leisure. Despite the copious hours she spends outside, her skin remains rather pale and uncalloused. Her hair is really long, reaching all the way down to her bottom, and is generally tied back to keep it out of her way, and as black as a moonless night. Her bangs she cuts herself to keep them from falling over her dark chocolate colored eyes.
Her clothes generally consist of a rather freeing and traditional garb, all shrouded by a form-fitting kimono. The traditional-wear is of a silky crimson material that covers only the vital areas – mostly torso. It is accompanied by tight leggings and cloth boots that go up to mid-thigh. She carries gloves to protect her hands in combat, but does not always wear them. Her kimonos change, as she often loses them and has to obtain new ones.
WEAPONS,Daggers: Aiyu carries two small daggers at all times, which happen to be the only weapons she bothers to keep. Both she keep strapped to her boots at her calves, hidden away beneath her kimono. She uses them most as tools rather than weapons.
ITEMS,Within and hanging about a leather bag, Aiyu’s belongings consist mostly of instruments and food. She carries a wooden flute, a lute, and a rather small harp. She also carries a small medicinal kit, a small mirror, soap, and a flint for starting fires.
ABILITIES,Redirecting Currents: Essentially, this is a power drain. It drains the target of energy, or sometimes a sense entirely instead, all to be redirected for the attacker’s own use. If energy is drained, she can redirect it as a mild electric current to use in her defense, but is often difficult to control. In the case of draining a sense, she would simply temporarily steal a sense. For instance Vision – she would see ‘through their eyes’, but be blocking the input of that sight to the target’s own brain as the signals are redirected to her own. Stealing senses would last only one post, stealing energy would diffuse after two if not spent immediately. By the second post, though, it would be at half the original power. Cooldown four posts.
Healing Light: Just as the name suggests, the caster emits a blinding light from her palms that heals minor wounds easily and moderately heals major wounds (though not completely). Depending on the severity of the wound, it takes a moderate amount of focus that becomes harder to call on during battle. Two post cooldown – Restricted to very minor wounds in combat (I.E. minor cuts/scrapes).
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Magic Senses I- The hylian is able to get a general reading on how powerful the other person is.
Magical Prowess III- The hylian's magical damage is multiplied 4 times over.
HISTORY,
Aiyume comes from a small town middle class mixed-race family. Born to a full Hylian mother and a Human/Hylian father. At a young age they sent her to a private school specializing in martial arts, fearing that she would grow to be magic-less as her father was since she did not show any affinity for it as an infant. As she grew, though, she gradually began to display such an affinity, so her parents called upon a full-Hylian acquaintance to guide her progress in magic. Her parents were most concerned with her ability to defend herself in their world so full of various dangers amongst its many beauties, and the Hylian was renown in the area for white magic. He taught her the beginnings of the ways of white magic, mostly focusing on healing and deflection. Unfortunately, he did not stay but for two years before he was called away for reasons unknown to her. She was left to further her studies of martial arts while practicing what little she had learned from her brief mentor. Amazingly, she showed a swiftly growing grasp for the art of magic.
Shortly afterward, at the age of twelve, she started to behave quite peculiarly at night. Every so often she would be found standing outside simply staring at the sky, but had no memory of it in the morning. They thought at first she had simply come down with what others called 'sleep walking,' but her condition worsened. Gradually, she began to become much more active when in this state. She would toy with the horses, frighten other children, and utterly destroy rooms that had been locked with magic. Their first assumption was that she was possessed, but it was unheard of for a possession to be periodic as it was, since she seemed so perfectly normal during the day. So, they turned to another idea. She was simply a troubled child who missed her parents and was acting out to get attention. Consequently, she was kicked out of the school and sent back home.
Unfortunately, she never made it back home. Since it was a two day trip, the night they stopped for rest her odd behavior came out again. She was angry. She felt rejected. She cursed the men that were transporting her with her words, and damned them with her power. There was no record of this, though, since the men did not survive to tell the tale and Aiyume did not remember it. One moment she was napping within the carriage, and the next she was in the middle of a forest. She vaguely recalled stepping down from her seat and simply walking away. She just walked blindly until she could no longer tell where she came from.
After that, she did attempt to return home, but had difficulty making her way back. At first, it was because she got lost. Then, when she finally found a town in which she could ask for direction, she found that people could not always be easily trusted. She was young and gullible, and therefore someone had to take advantage. A man came to her, telling her that he knew of her family and exactly where they lived and would take her home in the morning. She trusted him whole heartedly, not realizing he then took her in the opposite direction of home. He took her to a neighboring city. There, she was tossed around from one potential ‘buyer’ to the next. Betrayed and frightened for her life, she did not sleep for two days. When at last she allowed herself to slip into sleep, everything seemed to turn around for the better. She awoke on the softest, silkiest, and most comfortable surface one could ever imagine. She had apparently been transported to this fancy and highly expensive room lacking of any chains or rope to bind her hands - only a bag of jewels that lie next to her as she slept. She left her room without anyone shouting at her. For all intents and purposes, she was free. She wasted not a moment in leaving that city, either. For several years, she tried to make her way back home, never actually knowing the town's name, but in vain. By the time she had finally arrived she did not even know it. She stepped through the burnt village wondering what might have happened, but never truly considering the possibility it was once home. Once she was an adult she gave up her search and attempted to settle. But, everywhere she went, trouble seemed to follow. It was never far behind and it kept her from staying anywhere long. For whatever reason, she was always blamed. They called her a demon.
EXTRAS,
Unknown to her, all this time she simply suffered a rather peculiar possession by a Poe, as her instructors had originally suspected but never acted on. She still maintained her own consciousness, but was entirely unaware that lapses of the day were spent by this other personality that took over her body. It happened the most after she went to sleep, but on occasion occurred even while she was awake. When it was as she slept, she would simply have odd 'dreams'. But, when she was awake, the memory gaps were replaced with simple tasks like walking or playing instruments.

PERSONALITY,
The poe inhabiting Aiyume, generally liking to go by Yume for ‘dream’, has a frisky and sort of outward personality. In her memories of her own life, she feels she was deprived of true life, so she sees her existence as a poe as a second chance. So, she spends her nights of freedom ‘experimenting’ with the world. She enjoys toying with people, especially men (or women) that might be moved by her host’s looks.
She may inhabit Aiyume against her will and without her knowledge, but she is also not uncaring for her host. She generally likes to stir up trouble, simply for the thrill, but will not lie dormant in a situation that she feels Aiyume could not handle herself. She is a lot less reluctant to enter combat than Aiyume. She uses the girl’s skills openly, excited by the thrill, but does not necessarily aim to kill. That is, unless they aim to kill her.
HISTORY,
In life, she was human. Most of what she remembers from her past revolves around all she hated. She grew up in a dysfunctional family. A mother is nonexistent from her flaky memory, but the image of an angry father is ever-present. She spent a majority of her life simply trying to get by with her life – biding her time until she could escape from a life of servitude under her father. A vague memory remains of how happy she was before death. She had just entered an arranged married and just moved into her new home when she met her untimely death – burned alive.
Her next memory is of walking the earth freely, but without any ability to touch anything. She was deprived of life in life and as well as death. For years and years she wandered, simply able to see the world, but incapable to interact with it. She was simply a murmur of hope. After several decades of wandering, the poe was drawn to a particular child. She was so young, yet so promising. She was so happy…content. So free. The girl’s humanity drew the poe in. Cloaked in invisibility she watched her for several weeks before at last deciding to approach her. She wanted her. She wanted her flesh, her freedom, her life.
Being the most liberating and amazing feeling ever experienced by the spirit, she took homage within the girl. She laid quiet for a while, simply experiencing the world through the child as she interacted in daily activities. Before long she was tempted to act herself, doing so only when the girl’s consciousness relaxed. At first, all she could do was simply go outside and admire the vast openness of the sky. Eventually, she became drunk with power. At last she was given the chance to live, and she wasn’t going to waste it. She feared not death, so long as it followed true life.

HOW DID YOU FIND US,
Once upon a time, in a forum far far away... I was introduced to Requiem of Twilight back in the day by Nightmare. I disappeared due to life and have spent a while trying to find the site again only to be led to this one! Several sites later...[/blockquote]
