APPEARANCE,
With a shock of wild red hair, an ever-present grin and a dancing emerald eye, Kiir probably looks the furthest thing from an Oocca, let alone Ooccan royalty. Especially because of the black leather eye-patch that covers his right eye. Definitely not Ooccan royalty. That’s the general idea Kiir goes for to draw attention away from his Ooccan and royal heritage.
His clothing varies. His typical outfit is a loose-fitting blue t-shirt and a black and white jacket complete with matching pants. Of course this outfit is his favorite, but it be varied depending completely on the situation. Kiir is a fairly competent social chameleon, after all, and blends in wherever he needs to in order to conduct business properly.
WEAPONS,
- Dagger – Kiir has trained in many weapon types, but has come to find the one he prefers is the one he has had no training in whatsoever. With his abilities granting him extra speed and a means to block even with the short length of the dagger, he has come to rely on it as his main weapon. The one he carries with him is about a foot long with a gentle curve in the blade and a notch in the tip. He keeps it sheathed to his leg for easy access.
ITEMS,
- THE SPARROW – Kiir’s pride and joy, his very own ship. But not just any ship; it’s one of Hyrule’s first and only airships. Crafted by Ooccan engineers to potentially enhance trade or perhaps prepare for war with the ground, the ship was hijacked by the Ooccan king himself at the same time as his self-kidnapping.
ABILITIES,Gravity Control
Unable to fly Kiir has developed other talents. This particular ability stems mostly from the Oocca’s natural talent with telekinesis, stretching far beyond the capabilities the racial ability has to offer into a new field all together. Kiir isn’t able to control gravity as a whole, but within a certain limit around his body he is able to alter the direction and strength of it. This can manifest itself in many useful forms:
- Thrust – Using very subtle changes in his own center of gravity Kiir is able to gain speed in any direction. It’s sort of like throwing himself in whichever direction he pleases, though much more controlled. While this can be used to launch himself very high up and recover from long falls it is not capable of maintaining levitation. Prolonged use of these switches can cause disorientation and sickness, meaning they should only be used for bursts of speed, launching himself into the air and recovering from a fall. (One Post Cooldown)
- Extend – Kiir’s able to control the gravity around himself, meaning it is quite difficult to use as a weapon. He is able to, however, extend his own gravity field to another person or object momentarily through contact. In doing so he may readjust the center of gravity of whatever he touches as long as there’s something for it to center around (he can attach someone to the ceiling, for example, but can’t simply send them careening aimlessly into the air). This does not simply apply to others, either; Kiir can attach his own gravity to other objects, allowing him feats such as walking on the ceiling. (Two Post Cooldown)
RACIAL ABILITIES,

Feather Flurry: level 0
Teleport: level 1
Telekinesis: level 4
HISTORY,
It really is a shame the Oocca so vehemently stuck to the monarchy, wherein the oldest child adopts the throne. As a child Kiir was exactly what you’d expect from a child: he cried, he pooped, he did child-like things. But as he grew up his father, the King of the Oocca tried more and more to mature the kid too fast. Kiir didn’t like this and began to resent his father and his entitlement to the throne, refusing to grow up.
Thus, as soon as he was able, Kiir left the palace. Just left, into the City, and began to learn his way around. He was a young child so he wasn’t paid much attention until the guards were put on alert. A missing prince could do that. He actually managed to dodge the guards for an entire day before he was caught and brought back. He had a natural talent at avoiding trouble, as it were. Of course after that he was firmly scolded.
And the next day he wandered out again.
This began a regular ritual. Kiir would sneak out, the guards would be put on alert, and eventually he would be caught. Each time it grew longer and longer before he was found. His record was three and a half weeks. His father tried many measures to keep him in, but Kiir just rose to the challenge. Needless to say the Ooccan Prince was well-fitted to his role, just not nearly willing enough to be royalty. His resourcefulness and quick thinking was unparalleled.
His escapes were even more surprising as Kiir never seemed to catch on to the whole flying thing. His wings could glide, but they never developed enough to let him fly with them. So each of his escapes was perilous just by the fact that he could easily fall off of the City and to his death. But he learned to make do, learning the routes to get around the City and not come across any gaps.
It was during his teenage years, on one of these escapades, that Kiir lost his eye. While avoiding some guards he took a particular route that was favorited by others who wished to avoid the guards as well. In the alleyway he bumped into these shady folk, and was promptly mugged. As stubborn as he was, though, Kiir figured he could take them with his training. But they weren’t sparring and fought dirty, leaving Kiir in the dirt with a nasty slash on his face that burst his eye and a knife planted in his stomach.
The pain wasn’t the worst part. It was his own pride that took the worst beating. Losing a lot of blood and mortally injured Kiir was forced to put aside his games and actually seek out a guard. He was returned to the palace and treated, though the eye was beyond healing. The worst part about that, Kiir found, was the embarrassing story behind it. There was nothing glamorous about it, no story to tell about daring ne’er-do-well and adventures. Just a foolish kid in a world where he didn’t belong.
This was his wake-up call. It caused him to grow up much quicker and he started concerning himself with courtly duties. But they never quite fit him and his mannerisms never quite developed. That and the nobles always treated him like a cripple because his wings didn’t develop entirely and, now, he was missing an eye. Even his father took up this attitude, and since Kiir was to adopt the throne when he died, the king began to develop precautions.
And so the Ooccan rule slowly became quite bureaucratic, autonomous. When the king finally died and Kiir stepped up to the plate as the Ooccan Lord he found there was hardly any responsibility for him. He couldn’t make decrees, could hardly hold court without a dozen other nobles. The crown felt out of place on his head, too large, too weighty.
Which is why when it came to him that Ooccan engineers were working on an airship prototype, Kiir took particular interest in it. He came to watch it being built, even christened the prototype the Sparrow for the scientists. When word arrived that it was finished and ready to see actual use, Kiir shed the courtly clothes and practiced one of his escape tricks, leaving the palace, boarding the ship, and promptly taking it and kidnapping himself.
