APPEARANCE,
Zelda is a rather pretty young woman physically, but her true beauty comes from the way she holds herself; although she is rather petite, standing at a mere five and a half feet, she carries herself with a tall, elegant grace that is nigh impossible to replicate. Even when she is at her weakest, she simply exudes a strong force of will that will get her through almost anything. Even if she did not have this, she would still be considered very attractive; she's slender, with thick, dirty blond hair that falls to the middle of her back. Her clear blue eyes possess a wisdom far beyond one of her years, and even her clothing is elegant; she dresses mainly in feminine colors, such as creamy dresses with lilac and light pink trimmings, and plates covered in gold leaf hanging off her shoulders and hips for accessorizing.
When Zelda gets itchy feet and feels the need to slip into Castle Town as someone other than the Princess, she uses a disguise held in place by powerful magic. She appears completely different, but for her bright blue eyes. Her hair is shorter and colored a rich auburn, and she's considerably more petite. She dresses fairly femininely, but also comfortably; her short dress is bright pink with three zippers, the middle one of which is pulled down slightly to reveal the white dress worn beneath. Towards the hem of the dress, this same zipper is pulled up to allow her more leg movement, and she also has a black hood that is hidden beneath her hair. A black belt with a nifty little pouch is looped around her waist, and she wears three bracelets on her left wrist. Her shoes are light lavender and white, with black shoelaces that cross over the top of the shoes, and tie around her ankles.
Of course, there are times when disguising herself as a mere girl just doesn't cut it. In times like those -- namely, when she has to fight -- she dons a disguise taught to her by her caretaker. In this, she looks like a male Sheikah, and she has dubbed herself Sheik. She wears a blue, skintight suit with the Sheikah eye emblazoned across the chest, with bandages wrapped around her arms, legs, and head.
WEAPONS,RAPIER. A thin, simple sword; Zelda has possessed it since she was a young girl, and has been practicing with it for just as long. It's quite strong despite its frail appearance, and well balanced.
LIGHT BOW. Zelda's primary weapon should she find herself in battle, and her favorite. The Light Bow was handcrafted for her, and is unique in that it is made out of a light, springy metal that will never crack nor break. It is a longbow, and thus rather large and heavy, but she wields it easily. Like her rapier, Zelda has practiced with her bow since she was a child.
ITEMS,NENYA. A gorgeous silver ring with crystals embedded in the setting. She doesn't tell anyone where she got it, and she wears it on a silver chain around her neck.
ABILITIES,Leader Slot: Triforce of Wisdom. Zelda has been granted the Triforce of Wisdom. Her fraction of the Triforce enhances her mental and magical capabilities in ways that many can only fathom. Zelda has gained a limited form of telepathy: she can read the thoughts going through a person's mind at that moment as well as project her own thoughts into the minds of others. She also has the capability to shut out these thoughts as well as focus in on one mind so that she doesn't become overwhelmed. In addition to this, she has a weak form of telekinesis: she can raise herself up to twenty feet in the air and levitate for an indefinite amount of time, and she can also use it to stop small projectiles (such as arrows, small rocks or small magical projectiles) and slow medium-sized projectiles (like larger rocks or medium magical projectiles).
Effect: Stop small projectiles, slow medium projectiles to half speed. ineffective on large projectiles.
Cooldown: One post after every stop/slow. Can be used on up to three targets at once.Triforce of Wisdom, Upgrade I. In addition to the mental capabilities the Triforce has granted her, Zelda has also gained in magical prowess; all of her spells are amplified by two, whether offensive, defensive, or healing. The buff will also be noted in the descriptions of the spells (see below).
Effect: x2 magic.
Cooldown: n/a, passive.
Nayru's Love. Using Nayru's Love, Zelda can heal herself or her allies. With the buffs from the Triforce of Wisdom, she can heal minor wounds with no cooldown, moderate wounds with a two-post cooldown, and heavy/mortal wounds with a five-post cooldown.
Din's Fire. An offensive spell. It works rather like an immolation; Zelda merely points to her target to focus and channel her abilities, there is a delay of a few moments (during which the target can dodge, if plausible), and boom, the target's on fire. By itself, this would cause moderate magical damage; however, with the buffs from the Triforce and her natural affinity with magic, Din's Fire deals massive magical damage. Two round cooldown.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Magical Prowess, Level Four. Her magical damage is multiplied five times over.
Supernatural Hearing, Level One. Her hearing is multiplied two times over.
Magic Senses, Level One. She is able to get a general reading on how powerful the other person is.
HISTORY,
As the only child of the King and Queen of Hyrule, much was expected of Zelda when she was young; she was their only heir, after all, and she was next in line to rule. The young Princess knew all this, but she was a headstrong, rebellious child, and escaped the castle whenever possible. Her parents did not try to restrain her; if anything, they allowed the security around to her fall lax, so she could get the phase out of her system before people began to judge her too harshly. It took her a good few years, but eventually Zelda realized just how important it was for her to attend to her studies, and so she fled the castle less and less as she grew. From age eleven to age fifteen, the number of her escapes varied, but eventually boiled down to once a week, then once every two weeks, then once a month. Zelda began taking her role seriously, and devoted nearly everything she had to becoming a good ruler in the future.
Even with her success, though, she never forgot to give herself some free time every once in a while.
The idea of ruling had always been somewhat like a far-off dream to the Princess; of course, it had to slap her in the face at some point, and it did so in the form of her father falling ill. At first it seemed that he would get better quickly, but as he only got worse and worse, Zelda found herself giving everything she had to running the kingdom smoothly. Her personal life, her childhood dreams, her friendship; they all went out the window, and she immersed herself in her role as a Princess. She was only sixteen at this point, but from her own natural talent and the gift of the Triforce, she ruled with a wisdom far beyond one of her tender years.
The King died when Zelda was only twenty years old, and while she grieved, she did not allow herself personal time. There were too many people depending on her, too many things to do and not enough time to do them. Because she was so young, she was not allowed to become Queen -- she has to wait until she turns twenty-five. As the years passed, she became more confident in her ability to rule successfully, and began leaving the castle from time to time to get a little breathing room. It was in these times that she finally allowed herself to properly grieve, and she was naturally a wreck in her alone time; but a source of consolation did present itself to her in the form of Zenethil, the newest Captain of the Hylian Knights. After a time, the Captain became a kind of father figure to her; he was a kind man and allowed her indulgences without saying much, and helped her with her melee combat as well.
Now, three years later, Zelda still rules as best she can; she tries her hardest to keep things running smoothly, and she devotes everything she has to making all of Hyrule happy and peaceful.
