Chase your dreams, and remember me, sweet bravery As you race the wind and take to the sky
Jack had been gazing up to the sky a lot as of late. The expansion of blue stretching out in such vastness - it made him envious he had no wings to take up with the wind, and fly in the air. He couldn't help but muse over how grounded he was. A flightless being stuck on the ground, where the expanse of heaven was within his sight, but still too far away. It was times like these that he wished he was born of the Oocca or fairies, creatures naturally born with wings, who could easily take to the sky. There was a natural breeze bristling on by as he strolled within the green grass taking in the large fields of Hyrule. It was calm, and tranquil - one might even say it was being mildly playful at the moment trying to get into Jack's face.
With a nice stretch, and long yawn escaping his mouth, he took a look behind him to make sure he wasn't staying too far from Castle Town. So long as he knew the way back when the day started to roll out to evening then he was all good. The hybrid male came out to collect his thoughts, and put his plan into action getting pretty much most of his ideas in check. However it was mostly a 'rough draft' of the bigger picture, and this afternoon would be the time to cut out the rough patches, or so to speak off of the idea.
Taking out a piece of paper, he began scribbling down a list of things he would need, careful to watch where he was walking. He would need: wood, a special type of material to weave into a strong cloth, tools, along with many other unique items. Sure, he had his doubts that it wouldn't work in the end, but there was no point in worrying about stuff if he hasn't tried. Breaking his train of thoughts, the wind picked up, and nabbed the piece of paper out of his hands. It started to float away from sight.
"Son of a..." he didn't get a chance to finish his curse before he started chasing after the paper. The wind was being too playful today...

There was nothing as incredible as flying.
Her white wings surging with and against the wind, feeling the cool air on her face and limbs, her cloak whipping behind her and that amazing feeling of freedom; she couldn't get that on the ground, and that almost scared Adele. Every time she took off, she flew a little bit longer, and every time it was a genuine effort for her to land. She'd circle for hours, and only hunger or exhaustion could drag her down.
Adele sighed and dived down to the earth below, pulling up just before impact so that she was parallel with the ground. The tips of her wings brushed agains the taller blades of grass, and she smiled; this was a good medium, she decided, staying close to the ground but still flying.
At least, she thought that way until a piece of paper just flew in her face.
Adele pulled up abruptly and snatched the paper away from her face, staring at it with a scowl. "What's this?" she asked of no on in particular, holding it between her thumb and forefinger as if it were diseased.

The hyrbid male stopped in the midst of his pursuit. The piece of paper smacked itself straight into an Oocca woman's face causing her to pause in her flight. His hazel eyes stared up at the woman in awe, never actually got the chance to see a real Oocca before. The race itself was said to be the very first creatures to walk the earth during the creation of Hyrule. However it was quite a sight to see them when they came down from the City in the Sky - a trip he promised himself he would make one day - and wouldn't you have it, Jack got his chance.
The gentleman gave an audible whistle to catch the winged woman's attention. It was then followed by an affable wave, and a grin. He was grateful that it didn't wander off too far from reach, or at least this was him being hopeful he was going to get it back. "My apologies," he greeted Adele, "That's mine. It slipped out of my grasp."
Seeing her up in the air once again sparked a pang of jealously in him. Jack longed for the wind to take him high above the clouds. Free from the limits that the ground puts him under, and enjoy the world from a different view. He wanted to look down at the earth from the white puffy clouds rather than the opposite. Everyone could look up to the sky, but never the other way around. The hybrid male was a little nervous if the woman started looking through his list of supplies he needed for his idea he had. Probably think of him as some sort of mad scientist with what odd items he had on the list.
"You wouldn't mind giving that back, would you?"

Adele examined the paper from every angle, staring at the words with narrowed eyes for quite some time. Before she could begin to actively read the list, though, a whistle resounded from the distance; glancing up, she saw a waving, grinning man.
"Yours, huh?" It was a rhetorical question, and she continued examining the paper, flipping it over a few times, and finally reading the list. An eyebrow arched; supplies for something, hm? Maybe the weird man was some kind of scientist or engineer or something.
If he was an engineer, Adele wondering if he could make some kind of flying machine. That would be awesome, she decided; to be able to fly as high and as long as you wanted without ever touching ground. Impossible? Probably.
It was still a really cool idea, though.
The Oocca gave one last flap of her wings, and her feet finally planted on the ground; she let her wings hang out, though, as the muscles corded around the hollow bones were admittedly exhausted. She had been flying for eight or nine hours, and that wore a girl out, much as she hated to admit it.
"I do mind, actually," she drawled, hopping back a step to keep out of the man's reach. "What's this weirdo list for, anyway?"

Shit. The woman didn't even make an effort to make it subtle when she took a glance at his list. It wouldn't be long before she started asking questions as to why he needed a list of items an engineer would probably require. In a sense, he was an aspiring engineer, but only for his own gains really; he wasn't out to discover the next new means of advanced technology or anything. He didn't want to become famous or anything - merely trying to live out an idea. Nothing more, nothing less.
The hyrid put his fists on his hips before tilting his head. He totally called it. Jack wasn't sure if he should be enthusiastic that someone would question his motives or cautious if they thought he was a madman. It wouldn't be the first time either. Better be safe than sorry or so the old saying went. He scratched the back of his head befre softening his grin. "It's just an idea," he started out, "Ever heard of gliders before? That list you have in your hands what I'll need to build it up."
He kind of wished he brought the blueprints as well to show her how he was going to design it. He saved that thought for another time. For now, he was actually curious as to what she would think about a land-dweller trying to create a man-made flying contraption. "It's but a stepping stone of something much greater, but I'm getting ahead of myself," he mused. He was going to use this project to innovate something much bigger, but he had to confirm that this would work.
He was going to make it to the sky one way or another.

"Gliders," she murmured, continuing to examine the paper. She didn't know anything about engineering or mechanics; she had never had a truly proper education, although she had spent some time in a library in the City when she was younger. Literature was more her thing, even though she'd never admit to it.
"Never heard of it," she snapped, rather irritated with her lack of knowledge. "What, do they make you fly or something?" There was a way of flying that was called gliding; she could only assume that it was based on that. If you had a good bit of wind going in your direction, you could just soar for hours without flapping your wings even once. It was great, especially when you were tired.
Adele considered the paper for another moment, then held it just out of the man's arm's reach. "Stepping stone for what?" she demanded, waving the paper slightly. "Adele, by the way. Adele Grey."
She wanted to know what this guy was on about.

"Correct," he smiled. "Or at least in theory, it's suppose to for ground folk, who there in lack such wings." Jack was a bit thrown off on the girls instant interest in his work. However it drew an instant liking tag on the bold, and beautiful ooccan woman. The hybrid could see that she was interested in finding out what he was all about. If that was the case then perhaps he could lay out his dealt hand, and take a step into something far more than the simplicity of meeting some random stranger on this wonderful day.
"Jack Craven," he replied, "I am the captain of the vessel, the Sparrow. Mind you, she isn't an ordinary travel boat you'd find on Hyrule's ports off the coast. An airship brought up by your people, in fact, and was given to me as a gift from a mate of mine. Now she needs an ample crew to fly, and progress." He made his explanation short, and sweet for Adele's favor, keeping his trivial details out for a later date. One step at a time now. One step at a time...
Jack saw this as a measure of the seeds of interest would take root. Maybe Adele would care to be apart of this new establishment he was about to embark on.
(UGH! Took forever to reply back to, and it's so shitty. I'm sorry! Dx)
