The silent hums of the dead tickled Brouda's ears as he slowly trekked through the misty grove. Many Goron legends have been passed down from generation to generation. And most involved around this very grove he found himself within, at least the ones Brouda himself found worthy of remembering. After each mighty step, a small shockwave of force covered a small area around him from the sheer strength alone. The Crystal King came to a sudden stop as he laid eyes on a particularly "mysterious" temple. A faint smile shot across his face; showing all his sharp rock-crushing canine teeth. Taking yet another step forward, the whispering became louder. "Be gone.... Goron...."
"HAHA! So you're aware of my presence, friend?"The many whispers came to a halt upon hearing Brouda's words, but what was the cause? The Crystal King stood in place for a moment, making sure he caught every word the dead needed to say, but none spoke. His crystal eyebrows flattened as the silence turned into humming yet again. With another small powerful step forward, the dead spoke with a mighty gust of wind following the powerful words. "BE GONE!!!"[/sup] But the young goron stood his ground; the wind wasn't nearly strong enough to knock over his extremely large build. The smile never left his bronze face. The entrance leading into the temple laid directly in front of Brouda; about a good 60 meter sprint up two set of old crumbling stairs. But the young goron respected the dead, even though the burning passion for adventure burned deeply within his heart. "I shall not travel any further, friend." The humming picked up yet again, while Brouda was left to just stare in awe at the magnificent temple directly in front of him.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

The whispers greeted the Goron with rude remarks. Jericho had already faced the same thing, and hadn't made it more than halfway through the main area of the temple before the whispers became to much for him to bare alone. It wasn't so much stressful as it was annoying, and he figured he didn't go far enough to enlighten any physical combat, as nothing important had quite happened.
The pirate figured he would mark this place down, for future reference. "Yadda, yadda toodaloo, wee whaf uh bing baa" The singing, tauntingly almost, followed after the whispers from inside the temple, slowly growing closer to the Goron. A small scraping noise came with the singing, his gauntlet pressing against the inside of the temple wall.
"Damn, I get the point ghosties, I'm scootin' and bootin'." Walking nonchalantly out of the temple, a small gust of wind also followed the pirate, and more whispers. Halfway down the stairs, the pirate's eye landed on the Crystal King, a massive figure in the Sacred Grove. "Hm....Talkative bunch aint they?" He was in a rather good mood, slightly drunk from the liquor he had already consumed.

"Hm...?"
The mighty titan wanted nothing more but to explore the old temple. He wanted to feel the rush of setting foot on new unexplored territory, but it seemed that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. The only thing this Goron respected more than himself and race, would be the dead. The spirits of the afterlife held much knowledge and insight, if one was lucky enough to obtain such knowledge, he or she could rule the world. He slightly laughed as he brought his massive crystal head upwards towards the sun. The beaming rays were thick, passing through the thick leaves from the many trees overhead. Looking up at the naturally ball of life, the Goron thought of home. Why he left? When would be be back? Would he want to go back? Those were the questions that haunted his mind day by day... Suddenly, yet another strong gust of wind came from the temple halls, followed by a human walking down the stairs, or so Brouda thought from this distance.
"Looks like I'm not the only one wanting to unlock the knowledge of the world. HAHA!"
He muttered to himself, but it was still pretty loud; his powerful prideful voice carried through the entire grove. As the man approached, Brouda greeted him with a friendly Goron smile; five inch canine teeth hanging from his mouth. Black loincloth hung extremely low, almost skimming the surface of the puddle he stood in. On the black cloth, stitched in, would be the pride of all Goron's; the Goron handprint. As the man walked half down the temple, he spoke with a rather loud tone of voice. Brouda wasn't the one to ignore another being when one is talking to him, so he took yet another step forward. The dead said nothing, his intentions were pure; he wouldn't enter the temple if they didn't allow it. With mighty steps, and a wide friendly smile, Brouda began speaking while closing the distance. "Indeed, Friend. What brings yourself out to a place like this? It's pretty dangerous around these parts. HAHA!"[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jericho proceeded down the steps as the Goron laughed loudly, lightening the already lightened mood. Each step was somewhat heavy to Jericho, his senses slightly altered. "Dangers my last name!" He yelled out, followed by a hardy laugh. "Wait...no, its Santana..." Shaking his head slightly, he only laughed more, looking up to the large Goron.
"Lookin for treasure good King!"
Jericho was aware of the whole arena incident, and personally found it to be quite humorous. He knew the Crystal King from that time, as he was in the crowd watching, and could not forget such a large and powerful figure. Drawing his sword, he tossed it into the ground, the 600 pounds of material standing upright with ease. Its magical ailments allowed Jericho to wield it without weight being a factor, so it was practically a feather.
"Why might ya be out here?"

The mysterious human seemed to cause this ominous feeling coursing through Brouda's body to mysterious vanish. What it his carefree nature? Or maybe it was the strange moving gestures? Either way, the titan felt enlightened to finally meet another human who didn't come to a rash decision solely based off appearance alone. The massive Goron slowly crossed his arms up against his might chest as words from the stranger reached his ears.
"HAHA! You seem to be lively, Friend. Treasure? I'm not for such wonders. I seek knowledge and understandings."
The titan looked down at the small human, he really found this man amusing; kind of like a joy of fresh air. The massive sword he stuck deeply into the soft soil underneath quickly caught Brouda's big black eyes. The sword would easily be three times the size of this man. How did a human have such strength to hold a weapon of this caliber? Human resilience was certainly a strange feat. The Crystal King's ears twitched as more words came from the stranger.
"Traveling, Friend. HAHA! This world has many mysterious secrets and I want to embrace them all! How about yourself, good sir?"

Jericho nodded, sitting down and leaning against his blade that stuck out of the ground. He made sure to lean against the dull, flat, wide side of it to avoid injury. Lifting his hand, he pulled an apple, his one and only, from his pocket and took a large bite from it.
"Knowledge and understanding huh? I reckon thats a pretty good reason...but me?" He thought for a moment, taking another bite of his apple. Twirling the thoughts throughout his head, he wondered what it was he had truly been after. Treasure was only a fulfillment of greed, surely it ran deeper than that. He knew when he had been a captain....ah, that was it.
"Back when I was a Captain of my own ship, in my youth, I could of answered that in a heartbeat. That answer is what I search for now." He knew a young mind could not understand his point, that he had forgotten in his heart what it was he had always fought for. This Goron though, he was older right? Jericho wasn't sure, but he figured the Goron would understand. "Names Jericho Santana, Sky Pirate." His name, about 12 years ago, had carried some serious weight with it. Nowadays, he was just a pirate.

The titan watched as the human man sat down up against the large blade. This stranger was trusting, even though Brouda himself had a great build which often left other beings running in the opposite direction, but not this character. This made The Crystal King's heart pump with joy. It's rare seeing a human with such compassion and acceptance, or so he thought? Was Brouda just jumping to the answer he wanted to feed himself? Or was this man truly what he seemed to be? Either way, time held the answer to all. The stranger than pulled out a plump red apple. The Goron loved human food; fruit more than anything, but the young Goron held his composure and simply smiled. The man spoke words; after taking a massive bite off the red apple held tightly within his hands.
"I'm sorry to hear that, Friend. You'll find your way again, someday. HAHA!"
Normally, Brouda would have much to say about such a response. Words of encouragement and joy, but this time was a little different. This man lost his way; a path no amount of words could easily fix, the young Goron knew the feeling all to well. Brouda's ears twitched yet again as more words were coming from the man leaning on the massive blade.
"Nice to meet you, Jericho. You can call me Brouda. No last name, at least I think... HAHAHA!"
His mighty laugh erupted through the misty groove. The hums of the dead feel silence as Brouda's pure heart overtook them. He was truly a gentle giant.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jericho liked this Goron; in fact, Jericho liked most Goron. Human men, Hylian, Gerudo women, they all were plagued by a sense of Pride that even Jericho had- in fact, even the Goron were typically more prideful. The difference was their understanding of pride. Most tended to simply act upon pride, showing no respect for other men unless it was earned, typically through combat. Jericho always enjoyed a good fight, but hated disrespect. This Goron was not like the Oocca he had fought in the islands, arrogant and snotty at first. No, the Goron was like Jericho, and he could see that. They both enjoyed the heat, rush, and passion of battle, thus is was not needed to gain respect.
"Hahahaha! Brouda! I like the name friend!"
Jericho laughed with the man, taking a third bite of his apple, the skinned layering now completely gone.
Swallowing the piece of apple, he gazed up to the tree's, the beams of light showering down with such beauty and perfection.
"This blade, Brouda, is a hefty six hundred pounds. Lift it if you can! Hahaha".
He stood up, and backed away from it. He had never willingly let another being touch his blade outside of combat, it was very sentimental for the pirate.
"It has a magical property aligned to my family blood, making it light as a feather for me, and as strong enough to rip through any defense."
He was still working on unlocking the remaining powers within it, and honestly had no idea what they were.

Brouda stood mighty and proud as the human complemented his name. The faint smell of alcohol overcame Brouda's sense just a little. It was then realized this human may have been drunk, or maybe a little tipsy. It didn't matter, the titan felt that this human was being respectful. With another large bite of the apple gripped tightly within the mans hands, it was soon no more. The beams of light coming through the thick leaves overhead gave the haunted temple a mystic aura. The hums and whispers of the dead feel silent as the two men talked. Were they listening? Or did they not find the two a threat anymore? One can never tell with the dead, for they work in mysterious ways. The titans crystal ears picked up words about the sword the human used as a stand.
"You want me to lift it? HAHA!"
As the human moved away, the young Goron moved forward; crystal shining, but dull and rounded at the tip. With the mighty arm of a god, the young Goron wrapped his left hand around the hilt of the head. Upon doing this, the hit couldn't have been seen anymore; Brouda's hands were just to large, easily three - four times larger than the average human. With one tug; muscles flexing, while The Crystal King released a booming laugh, the heft extremely large blade sliced out the ground and was now free. The mighty Goron examined the blade, it's markings almost hypnotizing him. This was truly a remarkable blade, in terms of strength, size, and beauty. The little "trance" was quickly short lived as the human named Jericho began speaking about the blades power. It certainly had the appearance, so it wasn't hard for Brouda to believe the humans words. Pointing the blade downwards, the young Goron thrust the blade downward; getting it caught within the soft soil yet again. "HAHA! Thank you for sharing this with me, friend. This is something I shall remember for the rest of my life. HAHA!" Maybe there was hope for the human race yet? [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jericho laughed with the Goron, impressed, but not surprised by his ability to lift the sword. He had a feeling it was originally intended for a Goron, and through magical manipulation and human prowess was transformed into a useful family heirloom.
"I'm glad you share the same fascination with weaponry as I do!"
He smiled, watching the sword with careful eyes. He saw how the Goron looked at it when he held it in his hands, the same way Jericho often times became captivated with the essential beauty of it.
"Weapons are tools for combat, and tools are best used when respected. Combat is a form of art, the core of true emotion and character. Only in combat can one show true courage, loyalty, and dedication. "
He spoke his philosophy with a heart that yearned to share his unwanted knowledge with the youths of Hyrule. Sadly, he knew few would ever take it and apply it as he had- on the bright side though, he had a new Goron friend to please his aberrant desire for friendship outside of his petty race. There were a few, though, such as his crew, that exemplified his thoughts and feelings.
Picking a small flower from the soil beside him, he examined it closely.

"HAHA! Indeed, friend."
The Crystal King spoke with a tremendous laugh, while the smile basically became imprinted into his large face. The sword reminded Brouda of his limited knowledge of blacksmithing; something he himself wasn't quite interested in at the time. But from his very basic knowledge of the art, the titan could instantly tell the weapon was one of a kind; unique in every meaning of the word. The massive blade gave off a faint aura; one that intertwined perfectly with the humans directly in front of him. This caused the Goron to chuckle a little. Suddenly, the human known as Jericho began speaking of weapons and combat. Brouda's mighty crystal imbued eyebrows flattened slightly at the start of the speech. But the longer the human spoke, the more Brouda couldn't help but agree and understand. The titan was never one for "weapons"; they normally held him back. But the craft of creating one, and the grace of another being could have with such items, always caught his attention. "HAHA! Tools are only as useful as the handlers, do you agree, friend? Combat is the easiest way to tell of a mans loyalty, past, and future. But it already sounds like you know that from experience. We Goron's respect our fellow brethren and ancient teachings. But there is only one thing we respect to that level, and that is the heated pulse of combat! HAHA!" [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jericho stood now, and smirked slightly. "Agreed. So how about we test each other? No magic, just pure physical combat?" The proposition was made to test each of their abilities in combat. Both were weathered fighters, and both had age and experience.
Walking forth and placing his hand on his blades pommel, he laughed and shrugged. "I'll be gentle. Hahaha!" It was obviously a joke, as Jericho paled in comparison to strength, size, and just about everything. He still had heart though, and was an excellent combatant.

"Fight...?"
The Crystal King remained confused throughout the humans sudden proposal. Why would a human; a race of such small stature want to engage in friendly combat with a well trained Goron? The question haunted Brouda for a few seconds, but in the end, he simply released a jolly chuckle and eyed the mysterious huamn; his bravery amazed the towering titan. As the man took a few steps forward towards the massive blade, Brouda himself took slow graceful steps backward; almost as if he was leaping. The sudden zig-zag movement left no sound, no tremors, just the crystal body gaining distance silently. The man spoke more words; words of extreme human arrogance; but Brouda himself had such arrogance, but he kept to it himself, unless asked. The faint sense of humor could be felt rolling off the humans tongue, which lighted the mood greatly. With a distance of ten - eleven meters, The Crystal King slowly rose his hands up above his face, while his body leaned left to right. All his weight transferred to the balls of his gigantic bronze feet; basically, he balanced himself on the tip of his toes with great skill. All this, while big black eyes danced from joint to joint, whatever the human had planed. The young Goron would read the muscles, and have a pretty accurate guess of what would come his way.
"Let us both find honor in this spar, Friend. Hehe..."
