And then, in a moment, he vanished. Impossible to see, but unmistakeably there. One could see the claw marks on the pillar he was perched on. One could see the female troll, lying in her blood, and the male, screaming with a fury he had sought to condemn. His mark was on the ground, in the air, in the bodies below. The monster left, but the scratches on the pillar remained. He was gone.
Victorious.
