Alecto had almost gotten used to riding on the back of something when it was time for her to finally walk on solid ground again. Her legs felt slightly wobbly, but this was easily ignored. It was nothing compared to the other things on her mind. Eliam would probably be expecting her soon enough. She walked further into the clearing, and would be in plain sight of anyone watching.
She looked around, and did something that would be very unexpected for Eliam. She lifted her club over her shoulder.
And tossed it into the bushes surrounding the clearing.
"Eliaaaaaaaaaam, Where are youuuuu?"

Eliam emerged into the clearing, calm as a moment before a hurricane. He made no sudden movements, simply walking towards Alecto with his hands slightly spread so that she could see them. "I'm glad I found you, Alecto. I was worried I wouldn't get to you in time. Thank you for bringing her here, Boundless."

x x The predator's mind was unknowable,
The predator asked, circling around Alecto, his shoulders sloping into the deadly stance of a predator, ready to lunge. He watched both trolls carefully, the emotion bleeding out of him, until all that was left was cold, predatory cunning, a thrill with the hunt.[/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Alecto could feel Eliam creeping into her mind before he even revealed herself. His very presence was like a drug to her murderous brain, and this time she wouldn't fight it. Her violent side would win this time without ever once making an attack. Eliam would be proud, or at least he would be if he wasn't going to be involved.
It was essential that she be as complacent as possible.
She stared at the mutant scum filthy blooded BEST FRIEND EVAAARRRR~
She smiled at him, with no murderous intent whatsoever. "I got lost, I'm sorry."

There was tension in the air, but Eliam never slowed down. When he was just a few steps away from Alecto, she was finally at peace again. "You're safe now," he said and smiled, closing in, reaching up and cupping her face in his hands. "You don't need to be angry anymore. I love you, Alecto. I always will."
He embraced his best friend. "Now, what was it you were going to tell me?"

x x The monster's gaze shiftedfrom one monster in denial to another. Now he understood fully what Eliam was capable of, what monstrous power he wielded. The predator was fortunate in that his own mind could shrug off such assaults with no effort at all: in fact, the predator had not even noticed the aberration's strange power when they had first met, only because it hadn't even occurred to the predator that such a foul talent could exist. It must be extinguished.
But the predator was not foolish. It remembered what Alecto had said, what her warning had been ... and besides. He had always wanted to force Eliam's hand in the first place, the bitter fool. He snarled, baring his fangs.
"Not, so much, something to tell you ... a reminder, perhaps. You remember our earlier discussion," the predator said, matter-of-factly, still circling Eliam. He slowly raised a paw and let his claws come out one by one, slowly baring their wicked, deadly length and edge. He stared at Eliam. "Stop me," he commanded, "Or your friend will suffer. And in doing so, return to the wild."
He stared at Eliam for a long moment, holding his paw still. Then, in a flash almost too quick to comprehend, he leapt through the air and slashed at Alecto's back, dragging his claws through her back with the full force of his weight behind it.
He landed with blood on his claws.

Alecto looked at the ground, a little ashamed of what could have happened, but she still smiled. She smiled, but didn't say anything. She had the faintest inking that something was going to happen soon.... What had the plan been exactly, and why had she made it in the first place?
She suddenly remembered the beast that had brought her here. He was here for a reason, that was certain. Without her murderous intent, she couldn't fathom what that reason might be. Just when his words to Eliam started to make sense to her, she felt the claws opening up her back.
She screamed, it was more of a shriek actually, and fell to her knees. At this point, she would normally retaliate with her club, but that had been thrown into the bushes earlier. Why did she have to have this planned out so well? Her indigo blood was already spreading onto her skin and the ground. She could not strike back at the beast, because of Eliam's effects and her own injuries. "Eliam.... helpme..."

He had to remember to stay calm. killitHis satyagraha would heal any wound given time. This creature was soverydeadpurely logical. Insane, but logical. It could be reasoned with. "Alecto!"
Placing himself between Alecto and Boundless, Eliam threw his arms out to his sides, trying to shield her as much as possible while making a point of how he was weak disarmed.
He failedtoignored Alecto's filthydisgustinghighbloodblood on his hands and arms. "Please," he pleaded with the creature. It reverberated in his throat like no human sound. There was a roargrowl behind his voice.
killitkillitkillitkillit
"You don't have to do this," he continued, his voice wasn'tnow under control. "She's not involved in this! I'm your prey. This is between you and me. You can choose to leave her out of this. There is mercy in you. There is mercy in every heart."

x x The predator laughed. The sound was not natural: it was a human sound coming from the deep, powerful lungs of a predator that could tear a chunk out of a human being the way human beings tore chunks out of lobsters. It had the unspoken fury, the undirected power of a roar, with all the mirth and pleasure of the happiest person to walk the planet.
The predator, you see, was one of the happiest creatures in Hyrule. Of course, how he defined happiness was unique. His happiness was only for himself. For none other. Most people had the decency to share--or at least, to pretend to share. But the predator was free.
"I don't have to do a single thing, aside from eat, drink, and sleep," The predator said easily, circling Alecto and observing her wounds. They were inching towards closed, but not quickly enough. "I am doing this because it is what I desire most, little troll. You see..." he raised the bloodstained claw again and lashed out, dragging it across her stomach, this time, tearing deep rents in both her shirt and her flesh. He pulled away with enough force to knock a man out. The wounds were ragged and torn. They would not easily heal. "I have no mercy. None. I have no use for it. I have killed children, mothers, daughters, men, women, dogs, cats ... they are all the same to me," he professed, continuing to circle Alecto, almost as though he was utterly ignorant of her. She was just a setpiece.
"I can kill someone very quickly. Bite to the throat," the predator said, almost surgically. He dragged a claw down Alecto's leg, almost casually. The cuts were deep, again, and he jerked his claws around in the wound as he pulled them out. The flesh was torn. Jagged. Blood was spilling eagerly from the wounds. "I don't often play with my food. Messy. But, when the mood takes me...."
He let the sentence hang. The mood had, in fact, taken him.

Just when her wounds where being healed and the pain becoming bearable, she was attacked again. She was hardly aware of what part of her was being attacked, who was attacking her, or why. She only was aware of how much this hurt. It hurt so much, and it was all her idea.
It had all been her idea. Anything that happened here today would be her fault. If she died, it wold be her own suicide. That had been something she had been willing to risk at the time. If Eliam died, it would also- ohshitthatwasherLEG. The ground around her was slick and indigo within as far as she could see from her place on the ground.
"YOU FILTY BASTARD DON'T YOU DARE PUT YOUR CLAWS ON ME AGAIN elaim I'm so sorry this is all my fault it was my idea YOU'LL BLEED TODAY YOU LOWBLOOD MUTANT FILTH please don't kill me "

Alecto's pain cut Eliam to the bone. Eyes brimming with pale red tears, he took Alecto's face in his hands. "It's alright, Alecto. Everything will be okay. I'll fix this. I promise."
He rounded on Boundless, shaking with barely-contained rage. "STOP THIS! THIS ISN'T THE RIGHT WAY! JUST KILL ME AND BE DONE WITH IT!"

x x Soon, they would be free. The predator could feel their delusions shattering, shaking, their chains rattling and falling apart under the sheer force of the truth that the predator had presented them with. There was no alternative path. There was no "right way." There was only his way, there was only the hunt, the fight, and the kill. All else merely filled the gaps in between the three; to praise that filling was madness. He watched the terrible wound in Alecto's leg. It was not healing very quickly. He thought he'd worsen it, for good measure, and so in a single, swift movement, moving past the liar, he slashed open the wound again, his claws digging deep. He turned to the liar, still keeping an eye on Alecto; if her fight would soon begin, he was ready to end it. He said something very simple.
"No."
He left Alecto and began to circle around the lying troll, exposing his body, practically ripe for the taking, if Eliam so dared. All he needed to do was sacrifice everything he believed in, and admit he was wrong. They all did, given the right pressure.
"Your words and prayers will never stop this. Never. If you do not stop me now, I will kill her soon, after she suffers more. And then I will eat her."
The predator's tone was even, his words untinged by drama or menace. It was the truth. He would kill Eliam's friend and make him watch as he ate the body, if no one stopped him. If Eliam didn't stop him.

Alecto's mind could only me pulled and shoved so many ways before something had to snap.
She had lost too much blood to be her usual reasonable self (ha). She knew this was all her fault, knew that she was probably going to die, and that Eliam wouldn't allow that to happen. That beast was going to kill her. Eliam said it was all going to be alright. She wasn't even aware of the beast attacking her again, she was too busy slipping into a fuzzy state that was almost blacking out but not really. SHe wouldn't allow herself that mercy.

Alecto was going to die. Alecto was going to die and there was nothing Eliam could do about it. There was no right way in this. There was no fairness, there was no peace, there was no discussion, there was only blood blood blood.
Fine. FINE!
It was so quick it was kin to teleportation. Like skipping from one frame to the next. Like a record needle jumping out of the groove and on to a whole new track. Eliam charged, roaring, sickles flickering in his hand. He punctuated each attack with profanity. "You! Disgust! ME! DIE! FUCKING! DIE! JUST! FUCKING! DIE!"
