It should not have been a surprise, really. When it came down to it, there was nothing particularly unusual about the situation. It was a position she had been in far too often already. So, why was she so surprised? Was it so wrong of her to have faith that an entire day in Hyrule city could be passed without some mysterious transgression of hers occurring that outraged the locals? Apparently not. In truth, she did not know why she even tried anymore! Staying in a single town for more than a night was a dream she was obviously not allowed to live. How absurd it was of her to think otherwise.
The scene was simple. There she stood, watching a children’s play from a distance with the most jubilant of smiles plastered from cheek to cheek. Had she ever seen anything more adorable? No. No one could have. Hylian and human children sang and danced across the stage as their parents and passerby sat and witnessed. It was such a sweet moment, but it was soon to be fouled. An older man several yards ahead of her happened to take notice of her when glancing back for reasons unknown to her. It was a terrible time for her clothes to be so form-fitting and revealing, for sure. Much against her wishes, he continued to watch her from that point on. Aiyume noticed only after several minutes of staring passed by. Thereafter, it was next to impossible to ignore it. She tried with all her might to watch the story being woven on the small stage, but her attention was unfortunately now elsewhere. She could not help but avert her gaze from the play and directly at the stranger. Perhaps making him aware that she was aware would queue him to look elsewhere.
Big Mistake.
All she managed to do was acknowledge his existence, which apparently was read as the body language signal for ‘The door’s open. Approach!’ Her eyes immediately changed directions – happening to fall on the back of an elegantly dressed head. At this moment she was not sure what she was thinking. Perhaps she thought that if she ignored his existence now, he would be diverted. Maybe he would cease to exist!
No... The closer he got the more she realized that was not going to happen. She had to get away. So, her feet took over. She turned on her heel and made off from the scene. At least, she tried to. Her feet did not carry her but a few feet before she was called after by a husky and irritated voice. “HEY! STOP!” Her heart froze cold in her chest, but she did not stop. The last thing she wanted was a scene, but with a voice as noticeable as that shouted at the level that it was, there was no avoiding it. So, her only choice was to keep going... To escape the town entirely.
Her mistake had been in assuming the voice behind her was the creep that began to approach her. In reality, it had been the scrawny man that had been standing behind her in the crowd. ”My purse! She stole my coin purse!” he cried, chasing after her with a troubled and angry expression. How that tiny man ever generated such a boisterous voice, she would never know.
While the accusation did strike her mind as tremendously odd, Aiyu had no desire to stop. Another mistake. Now, she looked guilty. She was stopped in her tracks by a firm gloved hand grasping onto her arm. The foreign hand squeezed her bicep almost angrily. ”Wait a minute there, little missy,” came the voice of a guard.
The scrawny man caught up, stopped to pant, then raised an accusatory finger to Aiyu. “This woman” pant pant “stole my purse...”
Aiyume looked back at him both in disgust and outrage. “That is ridiculous! I am many things, but I am not a thief!” she protested. Much more used to running, she was not winded at all. It wasn’t like she went far. Then again, the scrawny man was pretending...
”Then why is my money in your pack!?” he demanded in fake fury. ”Sir, I urge you! Check her pack! I bet you a pretty penny a purse with cut rope will be in it!”
The guard’s brows furrowed as he looked down at the woman. She did not look like a thief, but he had been surprised before. It was his duty to the peace to check. Besides? It was the perfect excuse to continue holding her. Her skin was so soft...
Sure enough, there was a small coin purse in the outside pocket of her pack with cut ties. HER coin purse with cut ties! ”B-but...thats—“
”That’s it! That’s it! My purse!”
The guard hesitated for a moment, but he had to admit it. The little man was right. Aiyume cries that it was her own purse meant little. Why in the world would she cut the ties to her own purse? It did seem to be the object of thievery. And, that it was. Now, the innocent ‘thief’ was being dragged away and the scrawny man possessed new wealth. Her wealth... All that she had.
Aiyume was trekked through the town, handled easily by the larger-bodied guard even if she were to struggle. Alas, she did not struggle much. It would be pointless. She simply complained. ”You just gave him my money? Could you not stop to consider it a moment longer?! It was all that I owned...”

Like many well educated and intellectual people, the Human Champion had a distinct fondness for irony. It was too bad he was neither well educated or intellectual, but he was at least clever enough to fully understand the concept and enjoy it when he came across it. In this case, a renowned troublemaker being blamed for thievery that she didn't commit, and losing her money while getting arrested in the process. Yes, Ryan did manage to catch that little exchange, he was the Human Champion after all, you had to get up pretty early to pull a trick over on him.
Walking up to the guard, he placed his hand on Aiyume's shoulder. "I'll take it form here soldier, arrest the other one for attempted robbery, the purse originally belonged to this women here." Unfortunately, despite her innocence, Aiyume was still going to be placed under arrest for innumerable accounts of disturbing the peace. "You however are still coming with me, you're wanted in ten different towns for a large number of offenses young lady."

Aiyu was busy scowling at the ignorant guard that seemed to be ignoring her pleas for at least a moment of intelligence when she was took by surprise by another hand invading her personal space. The guard with the iron grip on her wrist stopped as the voice belonging to the hand on her shoulder sounded. Aiyu came to stop as well, first looking at the hand on her shoulder, then following it until it led to a face.
”Uhh... Yes sir. Right away, sir,” stumbled the guard before turning back to run after the scrawny man that had already disappeared from the scene.
It was a moment of pure joy for Aiyume. Finally! Someone was on her side. Maybe today was not going to be so bad after all. Unfortunately, it was short lived happiness. Just as the smile spread across her lips and parted to utter her thanks, he took her joy away by making her case worse.
Wanted in ten different towns...for a large number of offenses??
Her heart sank all over again. As if offended, she jerked her shoulder away from his hand. “You have to be kidding... You don’t even know who I am,” she uttered in disbelief. She knew no one by name, she rarely uttered her own. How could he know who she was to claim she was a wanted criminal?
