Alecto had escaped.
She hadn't meant to, and in her normal state of mind she would be appoligizing profusely at this moment. Whatever "normal" state she had had slipped away, and her only desire was to kill the one person who could put a stop to it. This had happened before, and each time Eliam had been able to calm her down. As soon as she got close enough to him, he would do that weird mind-calming bullshit. This was the way she was meant to be. This was what she was meant to do. She could only run away from her true nature for so long before it caught up to her again.
One way or another, she would kill that self-righteous mutant scum bullshit excuse for a troll. He would deserve every dent in his undersized skull.
She couldn't do it by herself. Somehow, she had to make Eliam unable to use his power over her to calm her down. The easiest solution was to get someone to do it for her. But who? And how? It couldn't be someone that knew her. These thoughts ran over and over through Alecto's brain as she sat absolutely still on an empty crate in an alleyway. Her giant club was sitting on the ground beside her, waiting to be used.

What happened then was completely unexpected, and yet exactly what she had been hoping for. A giant cat-thing was just what she needed. In any other circumstance she would try to fight it just for the sake of fighting, but not this time. She could use this very unexpected thing to her advantage, and to meet her goals. When the beast spoke, Alecto grinned wildly and laughed. She was having excellent luck today.
"AHA. HAHAAHA. ha. I'm so glad you're here! I have a problem that you should help me with. It's a fairly large problem, but you're a fairly large cat, aren't you?"
Alecto stood up and walked towards the beast, dragging her club on the ground. She had no intention of harming it, yet. She didn't seem the least bit intimidated, and she wasn't. She stared him straight in the eyes.
"I need you to kill my best friend for me. Well, not completely kill, because i'd like to do that part myself."

x x The beast continued to circle her, he asked lazily, watching her closely, observing her movements. Such creatures could be frantic, unpredictable, and violent. He hoped so. It would be fun to fight one. But he was not sure that this little encounter would end that way.[/ul][/blockquote]

What would it take to convince this beast to do her bidding? She would get violent if she had to, but she doubted that would get her very far. Somehow, she just couldn't imagine that breaking the giant cat's ribs would go over well. Time to play the sympathy game.
"Because he tried to kill me, boohoohoohoo."
Oh, didn't being distraught usually involve a sad expression? She had forgotten about that part. Whoops. Saying that with a smile still on her face was not going to work. She decided to tell a shred of truth.
"Because it's what I have to do. I need to do this, and if i try it alone, he'll stop me. It's happened many times before, but this is the first time I've asked for help."
This normal conversation was taking toll on her state of mind. It was difficult to hold her composure when the thing she wanted to do most was attack the nearest living thing, break its bones, then the spine, then take the head.

Alecto laughed again, this time a bit softer. "Heh, NO. Of course not." The idea of anyone being stronger than her was extremely silly.
She was suddenly very serious again, staring the beast straight in the eyes. It was impossible for her to be intimidated by it in this state. "If I get too close to him, I won't want to kill him anymore."
This was the best reason that she could think of, but the cat might still need convincing. "He is a disgusting mutant. Now, are you going to help me, or am I going to have to kill you instead?"

x x Something the troll said stirred the beast. Neither monster feared the other, which was fitting. The predator revelled in it. He appreciated the creature before him, for its abandon, its impulse, its savagery. "So this friend of yours, the one who mutates the way you feel. What is his name? Where will I find him? Tell me about him. I will do as you ask. I will even let you have the kill."[/ul][/blockquote]

It would really have been a shame to kill this beast, although its coat would make a wonderful rug. Alecto was delighted when he seemed to comply with her plans. Her mind was racing, working out the kinks in her plan. It would involve risky measures, that was certain. She was always willing to go to the ends of the earth for Eliam, either to protect and support him or to kill him.
"His name.... is Eliam."
Alecto broke her gaze and glanced around. She wouldn't be surprised if he was looking for her already, tracking her down. He hadn't found her yet, obviously.
"He's looking for me, most likely. We should look for him too. There is one thing you need to know, i've seen t happen many times before. It is absolutely necessary that he attacks you first."
Suddenly, she had a great idea. The BEST idea. It almost made her squeal with glee to think about the violence and pain involved.
"Remember, I'm his best friend."

x x The predator's eyes changed again, he confirmed, his nose wrinkling as he snarled. He paced back and forth, listening to her talk. He could feel energy gathering in his limbs, in his beating heart. He was excited, now. It was a matter of principal that he find Eliam and destroy him. He had been pursuing the man, of course, but only as an amusement. Now that he knew of the troll's greatest aberration, there was no doubt: the troll had to die, or else suffer so completely as to emerge a completely different being after the ordeal. When this troll, the large one, told him her plan, he laughed. He ceased stalking in front of her, staring at her with a strange fervour in his eyes. "Yes, yes ... excellent. I had planned on using a small child, but this is so much more beautiful."His eyes and his teeth shone in the moonlight.[/ul][/blockquote]

She was surprised that it knew about Elaim. She knew that Eliam had been spreading his teaching about lately, but she hadn't guessed that it would have reached so far already. Alecto couldn't give two shits about wether her plan was beautiful or not, she was only interested in the end. It was strange and interesting how the cat-lion-thing saw beauty in it. "As long as you're half as excited about this as I am~"
Next, she did something that would probably have gotten her seriously hurt in a normal situation, but this was never close to normal. She walked up to the animal, weapon in tow, and jumped on its back. She planned to stay there while the beast did all the work of traveling places. "I suppose you'll be wanting my name. Call me Alecto. We should.... go to... THE FOREST! "
