Seyka strolled through the path watching as the leaves sparkled glittering sunlight in between the trees. It was a nice day today~ The kind of day that made her want to play outdoors, run around in circles, chase some critters around until she passed out exhausted onto the plushy grass. What would have made the whole trip to Ordon satisfying was to have a fish for snack, and a little bit of milk to drink. That would have been the perfect day for the cat girl~
The idea itself was a nice thought in mind, but something else caught her attention. Upon entering the village, she began strolling on over to the edge of the lake. There were fishes swimming in the freshwater! Her deep magenta eyes stared with such focused attention, one would notice her pupils moving in sync with the school of fish swimming to, and fro within the lake. Sey Sey licked her lips before clenching her paws together. Her dark tail with a white tip swayed back, and forth excited with the idea of having a snack soon enough~
The kitty cat minish raised her paw up, and paced herself. Her position was flawless as she impatiently waited for an unsuspecting fish to swim on by her range of swipe. She shall have the fish, and it shall be hers. Easy... easy...

As far as anyone was concerned, today really seemed like the perfect day to spend outside. Kahz had been spending a few short days in Ordon Province after helping out some travelers on the road to the village, and somewhere along the way he decided to stay for a few days and take a short vacation from his daily work for some spare rupees.
It was daily routine for Kahz to work then take a rest by the shore. However, today rather than explore the vast woods and landscapes of Ordon, he decided it nice to just laze around for a short while. Why not take up a little fishing, perhaps? The catch of the day wasn't always his by the time the sun went down, but after years of practice and his dependance on fishing to keep his meals going; he had to get better one way or another.
Strolling along to the shore, his mind ensnared in daydreams of past battles fought and places he'd seen, he failed to take notice of a young woman sitting by the river's edge roughly a dozen feet away. How long had she been sitting there? For a moment he wondered, and as he was just about to turn and take a seat further down the shore, he spotted her ears and smirked. Cat ears? A cat minish, how adorable.
For a moment he watched, then realizing it rude to stare he knelt down on the grass to assemble the fishing rod in his bag. Wire the hoops, tie the hook, some bait from the bag, and.. there, all set! Sitting down then and casting off his line, the swordsman couldn't help but catch a glance over at the girl again, sitting there ready to swipe at any fish that swam close enough for her to reach. Adorable. Although it was none of his business, he turned to look at his line in the water to wait for a bite; offering a small comment to the girl.
"Nice day, isn't it?" He said warmly, smirking and paying attention to the swirling fish in the shimmering waters below.

"Why yes, it is," she answered without realizing it. Her mind was completely engrossed into catching a fish she didn't even give a quick glance up to her neighboring fisherman. With her paw ready in position, she paced herself carefully watching a school of fish coming in for the swipe. "Steady... GOTCHA!" she meowed. There was a loud splash following her declaration. Her claws came splashing through the cool waters, but she managed to nab a fish in the process. Success! It began flailing violently within her grasp, but the Sey kept her claws on it. Observing her catch, she noticed she caught a greengill with her bare hands. That was an achievement for the day~
Waitaminute~
There was someone there with her? Blinking absentmindedly, she finally turned around to see who she answered earlier before she caught the greengill. A fisherman whom she probably scared away the fish in the process of snatching the one she had in her paws.
"Whoops," she flashed a sheepish smile, "Sorry about that." With her free hand that didn't have the fish, she scratched the back of her head feeling a little guilty of causing a ruckus, and making the fish flee. Sey Sey began to dig through her bag, and found a handy little tool that would help out, a fishing net, and placed her greengill in it for safe-keeping. Snack for later~
The little kitty minish was interested in her company at the moment. A fellow fisherman was always great to see especially when they were doing what they're good at~ Then again the little feline was a bit biased since she thought fish was pretty much the best delicacy in the world. "Who might you be, mister?" she asked straightforward, "My name's Seyka." Her bright magenta staring up at Kahz with her kitty tail swishing back, and forth with much excitement.

Innocence really was a wonderful thing. Thinking on his reply for a moment, the young man grinned happily enough and offered the cute little minish his reply. "I'm Kahz. It's a pleasure to meet you Seyka." Kahz tipped his straw hat slightly, in a short nodding motion and a sign of respect. "My, an adorable girl with an adorable name, you don't see that every day."
Pausing for a moment to look back to his bait sitting ignored in the water, Kahz went silent for a spell, trying to think of something a little more clever to get himself some lunch. "Although I'm usually one to try the quiet fishing method, I have seen other more direct ways of catching fish before." Maybe if that was a joke worth sharing, Kahz wouldn't have snickered to himself at the thought of pawing at the fish himself.
"I don't have any arrows or a net, and I certainly won't be poking away at the fish with my sword or bare hands, so I guess that just means I get some down time to relax by the river until the fish lower their guard again." There's a silver lining to every situation, and even to this one Kahz failed to see the downside to spending a little while longer by the river in the middle of the day. Nice weather, good company. So hey, why not?
"If you're willing to stick around Seyka, I'll be happy to share some of my catch later. Well, if anything good bites, that is." Smirking and tilting his hat upward just an inch, his eyes met with hers in an honest gesture. Looking back to his bait again, the man sat still and waited.

"Likewise Kahz," she meowed back. He was really nice! Nice people were so much easier to get along with than those who seem more abrasive when socializing~ Well, then again, that was kind of the norm with interacting with others to begin with. Be nice, and usually they're nice back. It was further enhanced when Kahz gave her a gracious compliment. She scratched the back of her head before giving a humble smile; compliments were very appreciated by the kitty minish. "D'aww~ Shucks," she giggled.
It took a lot of resistance now to start pawing at his straw hat too~ That was so cool!! He didn't seem to mind that she scared away the fish with her last move snatching away what could have been a potential catch for him as well. She's never had the chance to actually learn to fish with a fishing pole before.
Perhaps this would be her chance to learn a thing or two, it usually came natural for her to fish with either her bare paws or with a net, simply because it was really the only thing she had on her. River fishing also didn't help teach her squat making her catches so much easier to nab. The merry little cat girl smiled brightly before pondering aloud. "Fishing is kinda like an endurance of patience, isn't it?" she asked curiously.
Always look on the bright side of everything~ Even though it wasn't really a big deal - or at least it wasn't made a big deal, which was also a good thing - Kahz appeared to be taking everything quite well. He didn't see much bad in the situation at all. How kind of him~! It must have been the cause of the day, such lovely weather, and to enhance the pleasantries, Seyka was blessed with such wonderful company~ Yay!
"You really mean it?" her bright magenta eyes got even brighter at his offer. Her ears perked up, and her tail was swishing excitedly again. Yes, this cute little feline was prone to getting excited very easily.

Leaning back where he sat, Kahz took a moment to adjust himself on the riverbank, now with the happy-go-lucky kitty-girl keeping him company. In a way, she reminded him of a little girl he once knew in the desert province, someone he was friends with many years before. An ambitious young girl of about the same stature and outgoing attitude as Seyka, only lacking the ears and tail. The two had been childhood friends for years, playing together and spending a lot of their time exploring together. Then, well.. everything ended for a time.
It was something Kahz didn't really bother to think about much anymore, but being here today with this adorable young girl somehow brought those fond memories back in a new light. Seyka seemed so similar to someone he had been friends with, so maybe that fact alone held new hope that they too could be friends?
This was a comforting thought for Kahz, and brought a broad grin to his face.
Chuckling for a second at Seyka's question, he shrugged in the slightest before turning to meet her gaze with his own. "Well, I'm not really sure about that, exactly." Kahz answered, his expression shifting to a little more serious undertone as he spoke. "I grew up in a place without any lakes or streams, so I wasn't able to learn how to fish from anyone in particular. I never picked up a fishing rod until I realized it was going to be my only source of dinner, so I kinda had to learn from failing at it so many times."
Thinking on it for a moment, Kahz was un-knowingly looking at the water again as he was speaking, with a sort of melancholy haze in his eyes. Blinking suddenly then turning back to the young feline, he reached up and scratched the back of his head nervously. "Then again, I suppose from the amount of time I've spent sitting around waiting for a bite before, I guess fishing really is as you put it. Still, I'm a patient kinda guy, so sitting around for hours really doesn't bother me."
Looking back to his line or a moment, he watched the waters for any fish clever enough to sneak a bite at his hook. Alas, still nothing. "Then again, I haven't been graced with good company on any fishing trips before today. That's definitely worth the wait, I'd say."

As far as Seyka was concerned they were already good friends in her perspective. She wasn't a difficult person to be around or at least she tries not to be of any trouble. It was always a difficult obstacle to overcome when you needed to tell the difference between being a push over and being of no trouble. Judging on how well things were working out between them the little kitty cat girl didn't have anything to worry about except just being herself.
When Kahz told her his story behind fishing her bright magenta eyes widened. That must have been a trying experience to learn how to fish on your own! She could have imagined that during his first few attempts he must have been starving before he got a bite to eat.
"That must have sucked the first time you ever tried fishing," she thought aloud. The feline minish knew that she had a difficult time trying to fish for herself when she started. It wasn't until she met actual fishermen that they showed her tricks, and easier ways to capture fish for a tasty meal. That was one thing about traveling that she learned was very helpful when you make all sorts of friends.
Seyka turned a quick glimpse over to the water to see if any of the fishies returned. For the most part they were being cautious, but little by little they were inching back closer to the fishing line. Patience was a virtue so soon enough Kahz would have a bite. She was positive! It also helped that Kahz kept high spirits as well with the leisure sport. "That's good," she mewed. She randomly began scratching her ears to relief an itch~
"Awwwh~ Thank you, Kahz," she started swishing her tail in an excited movement. A bright bubbly smile formed across her feline lips. "We'll make sure to feast like royalty by the end of this fishing trip! That's for sure."
ooc. sorry for the late reply!
