If this girl was anything like his contacts were raving about, business was about to pick up considerably, perhaps even to the point of being able to finally unite the thieves under one banner. Though a banner would be against what he wanted, a metaphorical one would be nice.
"Remember, remain calm. She'll prove her worth in time, don't be pushy." He wanted to make sure the beggars didn't perform their namesake, such an activity could be annoying to prospective members.
Please don't be a move I regret.[/color] He couldn't help but be worried about someone with such a high ceiling. They might be hungry.

This guy, Corvus, had found her. He'd found her and left her a note with a shitty riddle and the lingering aroma of shit, feet and corpses.
Their mutual friend had been very eager to tell her where he could be found.
It wasn't long before the door to Corvus's unofficial shelter slammed open and Din strode in. "Money for everyone!" She shouted and threw little pouches full of rupees in every direction that spilled out on to the floor.
As the beggars were still registering what just happened, Din had closed in on Corvus and placed one arm around his shoulder. "Corvus Munsiari. Our mutual friend was very eager to direct me to you. Let's talk. In private."
She predicted a brawl coming on. Rupees of every color were still bouncing on the floor, being watched with hungry eyes.

Corvus was a bit shocked as she walked in and threw rupees everywhere. A primary trick for getting the beggars to scatter. He had to stare down the beggars and tell them off before they spilled over each other.
"Yellow sixty-two and calm your shit down" he said, directing his face towards the beggars as Din was leading him to a more private zone. First the nymphs, now this thief here. Things were looking up, and not just because he was a legal midget.
"Come on, I'll take you down to the wine cellar." He took the lead away from her and led her behind the wall, to the trap door. Pulling open the hatch, he invited her down.
"I hope your darkvision is attuned today." The cellar was nearly bare save for some shelves, but it was also black as coal.

Disappointed by the lack of a brawl, Din followed Corvus down into the cellar without comment. At his jab about darkvision, Din simply retrieved a lit torch from the bracelet on her wrist. "Which is it? Do you want to kill me, do me or work for me? It's always better to get that out of the way first."

Corvus was appealed by the question. This one certainly had a mouth on her.
"Hold up there a sec, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Just keep in mind who runs this little part of town. If anything, you would be the one working for me. But I don't operate that way. You make your rupees through hard work, not because I arbitrarily give them to you. As for the other two..."he simply shrugged. Either could eventually become a possibility.

Din stared at Corvus. Or at something behind Corvus. Or maybe through Corvus.
Then she flipped him off with both hands and left, laughing all the way.
