Heaven's gates won't open up for me With these broken wings I'm fallin'
And so life goes on.
Ever moving. Ever flowing at a consistent pace, never speeding up or slowing down at the request of anyone or anything. It only followed rules to it's own game, and those that breathe followed the rules accordingly. Nobody knew the depths of that simple saying than the hybrid male, Jack Craven. Two weeks it took him to travel out here to Hyrule Castle. As for his initial purpose here, he wasn't quite sure - all he knew was that he had to get away, far away as humanly possible from his hometown. Just the very thought of it's name being brought up made him uneasy. Still, he was only a single face amongst the crowd in the bustling town of Castle Town so he thought carefully it was better to just keep moving, and find a place to think things through so he wouldn't get uncomfortable.
He had a plan, but in order to make that plan a reality he had to have a little bit of help. This is where coming into town plays in. It wouldn't hurt to ask around for a bit of advice, and finding a group of people who'd be in on his idea as well. Also, he thought it would be wise to stop here to gather up supplies again when he sets out to travel again. He started out with an ample supply, but now he was running low. He suspected that he would be spending a few days here to get reacquainted with the place along with taking care of other matters.
Anything to keep his mind distracted.
This was his chance to start fresh, and pick his life back up again. It was a window of opportunity he couldn't imagine letting slip away from his grasp. Hazel eyes peered up at the heart of Castle Town. Where in the center of the square there was a large fountain with glistening water sparkling from it. A few citizens were sitting on the edge relaxing within the bright afternoon. That was the last thing on Jack's mind of what he wanted to do at the moment. Brushing away his errant thoughts, he made his way into the a section of town where all of the markets where eager merchants sold their shares, and wares. None of them really interested him.
Unfortunately, not all merchants got subtle hints, and one persistent dealer was trying to win over Jack with selling him something he didn't need. He was stopped in his tracks of the enthusiastic seller, who had quite a gob to him. The hybrid male only let his business talk go in one ear, and out the other. When he finished speaking, he had to make a fast one out of that sticky situation. "Sorry, I've only came here on a budget to get what I need," he explained poorly, "I came to buy..."
Think, think!
"... Flowers! That's right, flowers." He finished with a smooth exit out of the way of the pesky seller and over to a woman who was selling flowers. He thanked the Goddesses in the Sacred Realm that she so happened be within his line of sight so he could make his scapegoat.

Castle Town was certainly never lacking in interesting people, and it was always enlightening to observe other people go about their day. Nobles, commoners, and even the merchants that set up shop along the streets. It was certainly a long travel for her Ashe to make, but well worth the income and chance to catch up on the latest news. It was also quite enjoyable to bring some color and life into the small city when able, because she doubted there was much room to even plant anything pretty and colorful to liven up the streets. Well, at least there were always citizens eager to buy her flowers to have a small part of nature within their homes. Smiling sweetly, Ashe had little trouble in selling her wares. Part of her wondered if she should become a business woman, but she laughed the thought away. There was no adventure in that, and Ashe had always been stricken with a case of wanderlust. She loved her home very much, but being able to see Hyrule in it's entirety would be appreciated and much welcomed by her. Being sheltered left many wishing to escape their cage and to stretch their wings. Was she any different? Hardly so, but her thoughts were beginning to get the better of her again. Shaking her head, Ashe soon saw a young male being hassled by one of the more persistent merchants.
Emerald eyes watched the spectacle, amusement bubbling within as the male looked for any excuse to escape the merchant. Ashe quirked a brow, watching as her presence was made into a rather convenient excuse for escape. Well, she was quite glad to be able to provide a solution to his dilemma. "Hmm, perhaps I should charge you double for using me like that," she teased with a smile. Really, a grown man buying flowers was not the most solid explanation, and he would have to make it look convincing, since the merchant was not giving her quite the look for stealing a potential customer. Ashe smiled sweetly at the merchant before looking back to the young gentleman. At least she was good for something at the moment. Perhaps she should really charge him extra for that.
"You should really buy a flower to make it look convincing," Ashe coaxed, amusement clear within her tone. Holding the basket up to her newest customer, the colorful flora was quite lovely to look at. Roses were her special today, since many a romantic adored the notion of buying the none-too-delicate buds for beloveds. Studying him a little more closely, she found him rather handsome, and he seemed to have a rather charming air about him. A real heart breaker, perhaps? Her imagination had the tendency to get away from her a lot of the time, but it was always so much fun to ponder what people were like~!

Heaven's gates won't open up for me With these broken wings I'm fallin'
Upon approaching the young woman Jack grinned at her teasing. She was a sharp one, quick to catch onto his ploy, and used it against him to make a deal. He set himself up for it, and now had to reap what he sowed. After all, the merchant he escaped from was giving the woman a look that could cool off an Ordon Goat during mating season. "How much for one?" he asked, one hand moving for one of his pouches, and opening the pocket. He was positive he had enough to buy one at least, and even throw in a little more for extra for getting her involved with his ploy. Seeing that Jack was really going to buy a flower from the woman left the merchant silently defeated as he returned back to his stand intent on finding another victim.
When the coast was clear, and the only attention he has on him was the woman's, he breathed a sigh of relief. His focus then turned over to the contents of her basket, and realized what kind of flowers she was selling. Right away his eyes were entranced by the roses. Without even realizing it, his mind went into limbo for a moment or two. His late fiance adored roses - rare to the Eldin Province due to the fact that it doesn't grow in the rust colored earth of the mountains. The smile that graced her features when he went out of his way to find her a rose, and bring it back as a gift. A mental stab in the back of his head pierced his senses back into reality.
"For you," he spoke, "If I could, I would give the world's riches for one of your flowers." His smile not once has it faded from his lips as he picked up one of the roses from her basket. His hazel eyes admired the flower's regal beauty, flashing his charming smile, holding it up as if he was about to kiss it's velvet petals. "However such a sweet fragrance that beckons cupid's presence pales in comparison to the caretaker of such beautiful flowers. Alas, I'll only have this rose to remember you by."
Upon finishing his speech, he pulled out his wallet, and remembering he still had to pay the girl for the flower, and for helping him out of a predicament. He was certainly grateful that she played along with his act - let alone picked up so quickly on his escape. Not everyone could make a fast one like that, and if it were someone else, it probably would have went an entirely different route. "Thanks for helping me out there," he said to the flower girl.
