Dear Father,

How are things going with the Knights? I hope they aren't slacking off too much for you without me there to teach them a lesson. It's certainly been refreshing not having them sizing me up constantly, I can tell you that much. And my training has been very beneficial. I'm becoming a lot quicker and stronger. At first I was hardly able to keep up, but now I can give my teacher a run for his money to say the least. I'm really glad I got this opportunity to train with him.

Not only has it been good for me physically, but I think having the chance to get away from the Knights and see the world has helped me find myself. I've definitely changed, anyway, and I think you'll notice it, for better or for worse. It's been a great exercise in independence, to say the least. Anyway I hope things are going well for Lori. She tells me you've made a lot of progress helping her face her demons. You'd better not be pushing that girl too hard; she's not as tough as I am.

Oh! Speaking of Lori, and this is for you too, I'm going to be in Castle Town soon for a few days. Just a quick stop as our travels take us past. There are some things I'd like to talk to you about, but I'm eager to see both of you again regardless. I've missed home and I hope things haven't changed too much. I hear stories about girls leaving home and their fathers are after rearranging everything! I can't give you a specific date when we'll be there, but our travels are in that direction and you should expect me to come knocking in a few weeks.
