"He's good to us, makes sure we're comfortable. I don't know how much he'd like you, I don't deal with many non-gerudo, my work keeps me from many of the raiding parties." As he left to bring the food in, she noticed the tortoise in the room. She smiled at her and continued to copy down the unfinished schematics.
As he reentered the room, she was almost finished writing down the preliminary schematic. Having this finished for her people would be excellent progress for both her and her people. Taking a piece of the dried meat. It wasn't amazing, but given the circumstances it was tasty.
"It's good. Given a better living space, you could probably make something amazing. A hollowed-out cave probably isn't exactly the best conditions for making a great meal." She flipped through the book for more schematics to copy down, but her eye went back to Lisa. "I'm surprised you can keep a turtle in these conditions. That can't be easy." She opened to a schematic for a powerful new style of crossbow, using some sort of propulsion to fire rapidly. She began to copy the information, this time for a completed schematic.

"Sounds nice." Jin said, before shrugging. "I would like him to like me though, in fact, I would like everyone I meet to like me." He added. Jin watched her for a few moments, doing nothing more then gently petting Lisa's shell.
"I've made some pretty amazing things, but I don't often have the time or tools to actually make anything really amazing." Jin said, his voice a little saddened by that fact. He would like to make a lot more, but often times things don't things for him all that well sadly.
Jin smiled and looked at Lisa, stroking her shell softly as the tortoise. "Well, she's a desert tortoise and magical. She was born to live in the desert, so her traveling around with me means she can handle most things I can."

Ruma was surprised at Jin's comments. It didn't fit her thinking style, which meant she wasn't prepared for it.
"That's a nice ideal. Granted, the Gerudo, king especially, don't take kindly to males. Typically they're used and discarded where I come from. But I see the use for them. They have great upper-body strength, and can make excellent slaves." She stopped and clamped her mouth shut when she realized she was talking, as a Gerudo, to a man. "Not you though, you don't seem like a good slave." She stopped herself again and her face began to blush. "Not that you wouldn't make a good slave, I just meant...oh never mind let's just drop it." She turned away in embarassment and completely lost her place in the text.
Putting her visor down to hide her face, she frantically tried to find a new topic of conversation. Oh right, Jin was talking about the turtle before. "That's...uhh...quite the interestring thing. Not that the tortoise is a thing...oh to the goddess with it!" Ruma gave up trying to talk and just went back to trying to find her page in the text. Damn social awkwardness got the better of her again.

Jin looked at Ruma as she spoke about the Gerudo and their views of males, and tilted his head a bit as she spoke about using then discarding, or turning them into slaves. She seemed to bury herself a bit more when she tried to fix things, by saying he didn't seem like a good slave before just giving up completely. Jin couldn't help but to laugh at all of this before shaking his head, chuckling a bit and smiling at her. "Well, I really don't plan to be a slave... and I think if all of Hyrule could get along it would be better."
He shook his head again when she gave up trying to even talk with her and he smiled before getting to his feet. "I'll let you calm down and gather your thoughts again. If you have any questions just call out for me. I'll be down the hall." Jin said, leaving the room and leaving the door open just a bit before making his way down the dark hallway toward his room. A few moments later, and a small candle was lit as he laid in bed, stretched out on his back on top of the sheets, his shields placed on the ground next to him.
If Ruma wanted anything, she'd be able to just come and ask him, but he had a feeling she would need a little bit of time to calm down and get her thoughts together. She seemed almost as awkward as he was though, and just smiled a bit before closing his eyes, Lisa sleeping on his chest.

Ruma Waved him good-bye as she buried herself in the book. She wanted to apologize. It wasn't right of her to say those kinds of words. After she finished writing down the schematics she went over to his room.
She looked into the room to find Jin with his eyes closed and his tortoise on top of him. Not wanting to disturb his slumber, she quickly rearranged the books back to the way they were. She then wrote out a small thank-you letter for him before leaving the caves.
Dear Jin,
Thanks for allowing me to stay through the storm. Words aren't my strong point, so rather than wake you, I'll leave you with this letter expressing my thanks. The texts were a big help, and even though I didn't get what I was looking for, I'm still glad I found this place. Don't worry, your secret home is safe with me.

It took a while for Jin to actually wake up, but when he did, the note was the first thing he found, and after he took a moment to wake up, he read it.
Sitting up and holding Lisa in his hand as he read it, Jin shrugged and put the paper back down. "Well, lets see how things will go from here..." He said, before laying back down.
