It was a peaceful morning. People just starting to wake up, others still in bed and a man was patrolling the streets of Castle Town. The man, stood at a decent height, a little over six feet with broad shoulders. He wore a long blue coat, left open to display his finely made white silk shirt. Heading on down, two brown leather belts with bigger than average buckles. These belts help hold up his pants but also his weaponry.
The top belt holds about small knives, used for throwing. They are angle just right so he can grab and throw them in one motion. The other two are hidden elsewhere. The bottom belt holds the scabbard to his trusty blade. It rests idly on his left hip. On his back was a Hylian Shield, one he has had for a few years now. It's polished every morning so it shines during the day.
Moving through the streets, they were starting to get busy. He was just casually strolling down the Market street, eying the wares but buying nothing. He'd stop every now and again to inspect some items, shake his head then move on. His long brown hair covered most of his face, disguising his eye movements. This allowed him to scan the areas for anything that wasn't supposed to be there without being seen unless someone was looking close.
"I hope something happens..." He muttered to himself. He wanted something to happen. Ever since he returned to Hyrule, life has been pretty boring.

Indeed, something was happening. Corvus turned a corner, having made off with someone's precious ring. As he turned the corner a loud scream could be heard in protest. He turned and snickered as he walked down the road.
"Sheesh, I wonder what her problem is." He walked down the road, quite content with the night's haul, small as it was. He'll find a buyer sooner or later, probably head down to visit his mother and sell it there. He had to conceal his daggers under his cloaks, just to be careful.

After leaving a trinket stand, the man continued walking, making sure everything was a-okay. He would continue this early patrolling to about noon, then he'd go have lunch, unless something happened before then. Though chances of something fun happening were entirely slim.
Coming upon a corner, he passed back a cloaked individual. The person looked highly suspicious, walking out in broad daylight. Then again, that guy at the trinket stand did look suspicious. Matter of fact, all of the merchants looked suspicious. As long as he didn't catch them in the act of buying or selling hot items, then he'll let it slide. Let the Hylian Knights arrest them for only looking suspicious. He was just a mediator for the humans.
Going around the corner, someone screamed, somewhere in front of him. A woman was freaking out, something was stolen. The hell? Looking around, the man saw nothing. No one making a quick or sneaky getaway. Going back around the corner, he saw the cloaked man just walking away. He had a hunch he knew something. As he took a step forward, he raised his arm to point right at the cloaked man.
"You there! Stop in the name of the Law!"
The people in the street scattered instantly. People went from crowding the street to hiding in their stalls and into the houses nearby. They had hot items in their possession no doubt. It wouldn't be good to be showing them off with a law abiding citizen in the area. They knew who he was pointing to, so they thought it was right time to scram. This man, who was only out for a casual walk and patrol was now the persona he dubbed Warden Delaware, one that would do his job clean and effectively.

He was just walking by, minding his own damn business, when...ah crap. He knew his heist was going sour when he couldn't get in until almost sun up, damn insomniacs. Oh well, time for a getaway. This wouldn't be too bad, or so he hoped. At least he remembered to conceal his tail and his ponytail this time. Dammit dammit dammit why did he go through with this. Never go with a plan that doesn't work out his father had told him. Plans are there for a reason.
Rather than make a beeline down the road, he turned a corner and ran down the alleyway until it narrowed. Making full use of his catlike quickness, he hopped onto a windowsill, then again, until he was on the rooftops two floors up. Let's see a human try and pull that off. Making sure his face was concealed, he hopped from building to building, trying to put distance between him and his pursuer.
In the meantime, he had to hide the ring, just in case everything went sour. Taking it out of his pocket as he jumped he immediately stuffed it down his pants. Let's see him look down there for buried treasure. The cold steel tickled a little, but that was neither here nor there.

Vince was on the thief's tail from the get-go, superhuman speed had its qualities. The little thief was nimble, going near the end and leaping up the walls. Closer inspection would say he went up on the windowsills. Now, Vince wouldn't be able to pull that off in the narrow confines of this alley but the wall at the end would work just nicely. Fortunately this alley had a dead end, otherwise the thief would of gotten away.
As Vince neared the wall, he jumped, ran part way up the wall then leaped off of it, grabbing a hold of the edge of a rooftop, pulling himself with ease. He was stronger than most, able to carry more than three times his own weight. Wasting no time, he dashed after his target, hopping from building to building. The thief made it look graceful, Vince was just brutally jumping at each gap. Screw finesse, that was only needed for fighting. As he vaulted over a few buildings and got closer, he yelled at the thief.
"Stop now or you'll be in trouble for running!" That he would. Vince was unsure if he upheld the law. If not, he'll just turn him over to Hylian knights.

Vince may have been fast, certainly faster than Corvus. Given time, he'd catch up eventually. However, there were tricks that the feisty kitty had learned.
Hopping from building to building, Vince was closing in quickly. As He got just close for a grab, Corvus didn't jump the next building, simply fell and tumbled forward. Hopping up quickly, he took a hard left and continued moving, the morning crowds scattering and the guards knowing they couldn't catch this man. Some tried, but their efforts were ultimately in vain.
Before long, Corvus found another window, and quickly hopped up back to the rooftops. This was his plan to lose the vigilante.

Still being ignored, he neared closer for a grab and missed. What the hell? Vince leaped over another gap and came to a stop on that roof. The thief had just vanished. Was it invisibility? No, couldn't be. Looking around, he caught sight of someone moving quickly on the ground. The cloaked person used another window to vault up onto the rooftops on the other side of the street and continue.
Damn...
Picking up the pace again, he jumped from building to building, staying parallel with the thief on the other side of the street. With his speed, he could stay up with him but if he moves, things might get a little complicated. Deciding to act, Vince went wide, leaped over a gap then immediately turned towards the street and dashed forwards, bunching his legs down at the edge and pushing off, jumping across the street and landing on the rooftop on the other side.
Superhuman strength ftw.
As he landed, he rolled to his feet, turned and continued after the cloaked bandit. There would be a bit of distance between them now but Vince could cover that in due time. He was not going to give up today. No siree. He would catch this thief if it was the last thing he did.

Corvus was not about to let the distance be covered to quickly. He may be able to use his strength to jump, but our feisty thief was going to get away. Clearly this man was having trouble with the Minish's many tricks. However, he had to keep them up or he was going to get outrun. This guy was fast, no doubt about it. If only there was a way to halt that speed.
Corvus was losing ground. Before long the man would catch up and grab him from behind. Corvus had it planned to happen close to a rooftop gap. However, just as the final grab was being made, Corvus...shrank. Now only at 1/4 size, he had little trouble stopping and fitting through his pursuer's legs. If he played it just right, the pursuer's speed would take him over the edge, and Corvus could about-face and make some distance between them. Regardless, his plan was to turn around and return to full-size, and that he did with admirable precision, the move itself having been practiced when he was younger. If it were in slow-motion, it would have looked awesome.

The gap was closed in a matter of minutes. As Vince got closer, he prepared for his move. Earlier, the thief had dropped down at the next gap, to escape. He anticipated this, or rather, something similar. So when he was close enough to attempt a grab, he instead took a step and jumped early. With his superhuman strength, he could easily leap the rest of the way and probably catch the ledge on the other side to drop down and follow.
That was his plan.
So as the thief shrank and turned, intending to disrupt Vince's footing, he was already jumping. He cleared the shrunken bandit as well as the gap and grabbed a hold of the edge, pulling himself up and spinning around. When he leaped over the gap, he didn't see anyone down there, so the thief had to of done something else. By turning almost immediately, he saw the thief return to his normal size.
Damn, a Minish!
This was just great, he was chasing a Minish. Sighing and shaking his head, he backed up a little bit then ran forwards, jumping to the next rooftop and chasing once more. This was starting to get tiring. He didn't have all day to play tag with this thief. If this kept up, he would probably have to draw his sword and unleash White Fang on him. That would be bad because White Fang was created to combat Dragons, it might kill the youngster.
Let's hope it doesn't come to that...

Corvus was making his way away from Vincent, but he was quickly tiring. The adrenaline was wearing off, and he would have to fight or surrender. Fighting was a strong suit of his, but not his best. This one looked like a warrior, and now that he had revealed his race he knew the rest of Minish tricks.
Corvus needed to end this before it became combat. Once combat started the guards could swarm. There was one last trick, one that defied his race. He made a hard right and headed down the road, trying to make sure he was doing enough to keep his distance. If Vincent got too close, he could always drop down a floor or shrink quickly, enough to evade his captor before he reached his destination. They had better be out in force today.

Jumping off the roof, Vince chased after the Minish thief, doing his best to stay right behind him. So far, each time he got right on him, the thief pulled some quick trick, so instead, Vince would remain on his tail until the opportune moment to strike. His own body was more trained and built to go for long periods of time, so chances are, the Minish would get tired to the point of giving up first. If the thief took pride in being what he is, he'd resist all the way.
As the bandit made a hard right, Vince followed suit, making sure not to get too close. Guards were hauling ass all around him but they were starting to fall behind. They were good in a pinch but they didn't have the speed and ability Vince did. As he ran, he bellowed orders to the knights, hoping they would be of some help.
"I WANT THIS WHOLE AREA CORDONED OFF AND GET MEN ON THE ROOFTOPS!"
Being a Warden, he had some power to his position. As for the orders, the barricades would keep the thief from getting too far on ground level. The men on the roof should discourage the Minish from taking that path again. If not, upgrade them to archers. Probably be game over at that point.

Great, he was calling for more help. Knights were quicker, and their magic had range. It was unfortunate, but also too late. Corvus had found exactly what he was looking for. He hopped down into an alleyway where he quickly ducked into a seemingly abandoned house. A couple of guards followed him inside, and had sealed off the main entrance.
Inside, the building was far from abandoned, though the people in there were humble and destitute. Beggars mostly, and one person handing out food scraps to the beggars. Rats were rampant in this place, though they were pursued incessantly by a group of cats of various colors and sizes. The fire in the center was a gathering point for many of the ragged people, eating anything they could find. The guards in the area seemed to startle some of them, but they were for the most part indifferent.
Anyone who walked who looked like they had money were immediately looked at with either disdain or glee. A few came up and began asking the nearby guards for food or spare rupees. Vincent, should he enter, would be no stranger to this, especially with his fancier clothing. Many of the cats were sleeping as the rats seemed to have disappeared for the time being, though they still skulked in the corners and within the walls.

Vincent stormed through the front of the building, intent on continuing the chase. However, he came across a blockade of sorts. A few guards were in front of him and they were busy holding the beggars back. They wanted food and rupees. There was no chance that he'd catch that minish burglar. Cursing his misfortune, he pulled a knight aside and told him to have his knights spread out and search the surrounding area.
Sighing to himself, Vince told the knights in the building to clear out as he started handing out green and blue rupees to the poor. That thief inadvertently exploited one of his weaknesses. Since he grew up as a peasant, he always had room in his heart for them. Emptying out his wallet completely of his daily funds, he bid farewell to the beggars and left their hideout.
Once outside, he redirected some of the knights before informing the ones on the rooftops to keep their eyes peeled for someone moving sneakily among crowds. From there, Vince silently stalked the open streets, keeping his eyes and ears alert for anything that might possibly lead him to the thief.

In the time that the guards and knights were scoping out the area, Corvus had already parked himself inside the beggar's home, and his own personal grotto. Vincent had not told the guards to interrogate the cats, or the rats. The human side was gone, having completely disappeared.
The beggars were glowing over the generous donation, and even Corvus had to give a little kitty smile. The man, all his lawful nature aside, was a good guy to these beggars. Somehow Corvus would pay him back for that. Not with money, but somehow there would be a way he could.
As the guards gave up eventually, or found someone similar to chase, or another crime occurred, night fell and Corvus had to return home. Wishing all the beggars well, thanking them and giving the group as a whole some rupees, as well as his word to give them a big cut on whatever he got for the ring. The chase was fun, but he simply had too many answers.

As nightfall came, Vincent was sitting on an upturned barrel, sighing at his losses. A knight approached him and gave him a detailed report on the collective findings. The thief was nowhere to be found, so taking it upon himself, the knight had called off the search. Grimacing, Vincent merely nodded and dismissed the knight.
As he walked away, Vince leaped off the barrel, stretched his sore body then moved on. He'd find that thief another day but for now, he'd go home, eat, take a long soak then sleep. It was a rather fun day though... [EXIT]
