Hyrule Field, a beautiful place that is the crossroads to nearly all of Hyrule, but, sadly, it doesn't stay that way for long. When the sun sets, the bones of the warriors who fell in battle come to life and attack nearly all who are out in the open.
Unfortunately, I'm one of those unlucky souls who ended up being out in the Field at night, and the only thing I can do is run. As I make my way towards the nearest town, I find a graveyard, and for some reason the skeletons won't go anywhere near the place, so I go on in and decide to spend the night here.
As I'm walking, I find a small wagon in the middle of the graveyard, guarded by a cloaked figure. I decide it best to call out to him.
Excuse me, but does someone live here? I was hounded by skellies, and I found this place. If this is private property, I'll leave, but I still would wish for permission to stay here until the sun rises and these things go away.

The sound of the door on the gypsies wagon cracked open revealing a strange green glow as the cloaked figure siting on the roof lept down from were it was guarding as another figure concealed by the green light inside of the wagon said " come innn come innnn you are welcome innnn " he then muttered to himself as if scolding something as he moved inside leaving the door open for caramon as the garo moved toward him only to pass him and patrol the grave yard .
a great smell was coming form the Wagon and it was almost a bit too tantalizing to give up it was a salty sweet smell like a stew . Zed was in his wolfos form at the time as he continued cooking remembering the smell of the man from last time he visited the woods . the inside was odd with skeletal bones decorating everything . " i am cooking for more than one anyway i promise i wont bite .

As I step inside the wagon, I notice the source of the glow, a lantern with green fire, something I'd not seen in some time. The bed is small with skulls as its knobs, and the blanket upon it is a deep blue and seems to have been rather expensive. The stove is small as well, but its all you need in to keep this place warm. All in all, this still seems like a cozy little place to live, despite its location.
Thank you for having me. I don't know what I'd do if I'd been stuck out there.
I look to my host, and am now able to clearly see the his face, that of a wolf, but also that of a man, and I also notice something else: his eyes seem somehow familiar, yet I know not where I've seen them before.
Might I ask, do I know you from somewhere friend?

Zed taped his chin for a moment as his voice turned more normal as he said this " i do believe we met in a forest once ... your scent is still the same as the person i met at least " he continued to cook as he added what looked like pheasant meat as he stirs it throwing in spices he had picked earlier that day . " so i see you were attacked by the dead .... what made you wander so far as to end up in the darkness of this moon " he peered over his shoulder as he waited for a response from Zero .
It seemed as though the air around Nocrose had changed into a more serious aura his shovel not that far from his reach he continued to stir his stew not feeling a threatening feel from Zero . Zed had become very curios as to why he was interested in remembering someone such as himself.

I sit down on the floor as I try to recall where exactly it was that I'd met this kind fellow. After a short time, I give up on trying to figure it out and decide to explain myself.
I was on my way to Haven, the home of my people, the Hybrids. As their Leader, I have responsibilities to attend to back at the city, but I left Castle Town just too late to make it back home, so I kept running and found this place.
After saying this I look out the doorway with a look of curiosity as I ask about something I find strange.
How is it that the dead don't come near this graveyard? Is it magical or something?

Zed then smiled to the fellow sitting on his floor as he said " My mother was a hylian and she allowed me to practice magic as she did ... in doing so i found my favorite magic of all ... Necromancy it came too natural almost as if i was bound to know it .... but indeed i speak to the spirits of the dead and the dead themselves " Zed then made the stew bubble more as he reaches over to grab two bowls. Zed then pored two bowls as he held it out to givee it to Caramon .
" i hope your hungry the dead told me you were headed this way so i made more " The stew was chock full of veggies and meats and a broth that smelled tomato y .

I take the bowl from my host and smile.
I see, that would explain a thing or two. Judging by your appearance, I take it your father was a Wolfos? Which would make you a Hybrid as well, and a rare one at that. I didn't think that any of my people would be living on their own so far away from Haven, since many people still don't really accept Hybrids out here.
After saying this, I look over the dish and see that it is surprisingly well made before digging in. My eyes widen as the flavor causes a great sensation to move through my entire body.
Now this is the kind of cooking I'm talking about! Not only is the flavor excellent, but the food invigorates your body and you mind. You sir, are truly a great chef.

Zed smiled secretly to himself and then revealed the smile to Zero as he said " I learnd about alot of things from books that my mother would take from people who would get lost in the woods in exchange for leading them back out .... and yes i didn't know my father no one knew who my father was my mother chose five of her greatest warriors as her breeding partners and my mother was the alpha of the tribe so really i guess you could call me the tribes prince .... oh and there is a bit of a secret as to why i fit in with society and survive " Zed looked over at the mask hanging on the wall that looked like a well made mask of a hylian face with pointed ears .
Zed then sat down on the floor as well and began digging in as well the tomato soup mix made everything salty and the other things made it sweet while the meets had powerful hearty flavors.

I look over to the mask as he does and then back to my companion.
I take it that that's one of those legendary Magic Masks I've heard of? The ones that let you take on whatever form the mask carries? I bet that comes in handy.
After thinking back on what he said, I come to a revelation.
So, I'm technically speaking with royalty? Wow...
Oh, I can't believe I forgot to introduce myself, how rude of me! My name is Caramon Zero, the Hybrid Grandmaster, at your service your highness.
I stand, give a low bow, and then sit back down and go back to eating my exquisite meal before it gets cold.

Zed felt a bit embarrassed to be called royalty but he thought it was nice to get treated special at times but honestly he was just a vagabond in the pressance of the grand master of those whom are like him honestly it wasn't effecting him as much as he thought it would. "So your the grand master of hybrids ? .... oh and yes that mask allows me to go around town without any trouble .. sort of a gift that my mom left for me ... well anyway i guess you can sleep here tonight i think i have something to keep you warm " he rummaged around in a cabinet for a blanket for his guest.
" well here you go oh and I am Zed Von Nocrose and i am pleased to meet you as well grand master "

As I take the blanket from him, I shake his hand.
Thank you for allowing me to stay, my friend.
After I wrap the blanket around me, I turn back to Zed with a glazed look in my eyes.
It saddens me that not so many of us get to walk amongst the "Purebloods" freely, but we are a couple of the lucky ones who can walk in the worlds of the rest with little trouble.
I sigh and turn my head upwards, as my glazed look changes to that of determination.
As the Leader of our diverse people, I wish to see a day when all forms of Hybrids can walk amongst the other races without fear of persecution, but, sadly, that may be a long ways off. That's why my people built Haven, for the Hybrids, as well as all the other people persecuted by the rest of Hyrule, to live in peace and harmony until the day comes when they can be accepted as equals.
My eyes brighten as a thought runs through my mind, but I decide it best to not ask until morning, so I lean back and close my eyes as I listen for any more words from my host.

Nocrose reflected on what the man said as he thought about it, no one had ever really given him that much trouble before nor had he ever really left to go to the large castle in the distance was it really that bad for his kind ? Zed smiled and nodded to the man for thanking him for the blanket as he began ti finish his stew their still being much more left as always " well you know if you ever need help i would love to meet more like myself .. i wouldn't mind visiting this Haven that you speak of ... sometimes its lonely being the only living one around so many dead ...... that's why i have been trying to build her " their was an object in the corner that resembled a bed as he moved past his guest to remove the furs covering what his guest could make out as a coffin well made with black stained and polished wood .
It was clear what he meant by that as he began to speak " this is my personal salvation i believe ... but no matter how many bodies i stitch together ... no mater how many parts i preserve with magic ... i only end up with redeads .... they are never truly living ... their hearts beat not ... they are cold lifeless beings ... witch makes me think i am going about bringing them to life in the wrong manner because they are only undead ... but not truly alive " he then moved over to the top of the walls of his wagon were their was a large indention were he pulled out books on clockwork and occa technology " which is why i believe i am going about this all the wrong way " he then stopped for a minuet looking around and then put is books up and said " i apologize i get a little exited over my work ... " it was obvious that Zed suffered from madness as he placed the furs back over the coffin sitting upon it as his eyes slowly began to glow green with necrotic energiez from frustration with himself.

I look at the body of the maiden and then back to my friend as he covers her before voicing an idea.
My friend, I may know a reason why they do not come back as a truly living being, do they have a soul? If you think on it, one without a soul is not truly alive, but merely a shell of what they can be. Why do you think that one becomes a ReDead? When you die, you're soul crosses over, leaving only its shell behind, but when that shell is given new life, it dies once again, this time on the inside, for lack of a soul. Is that about the right kind of thinking my friend?
I then turn in the direction on Haven and smile.
It's alright my friend. On the note of going to Haven, if you'd like, we could start off towards there as soon as the sun rises. I've not been there in some time, yet it seems as if it were yesterday, I suppose that's the kind of feeling you get when you truly feel at home, isn't it?
I let out a boisterous laugh, then I turn back to my host to hear his thoughts on the matters I laid out before him.
