Music, food, and merriment. It sounded exactly like Jasyn's kind of place that's for sure. He smiled. Land dwellers certainly had plenty to celebrate about. He supposed if you had to party you might as well party hard, and go out with a blast. So why not join in on the fun? He heard about the Festival of the Gods before from the elders from back in the City. Unfortunately for some reason or another he's never had the pleasure of going. Jasyn was never that great with keeping track of time, days... Or months. Holidays kind got lumped together with just living in the moment. If it happened when he came around then he'll enjoy it for what it was worth.
On his trip back to the surface the massive festival was a big give away. He could have sworn that it would encroach on all of Hyrule Fields with how big it was. His wings lowered the oocca boy down whereupon his arrival was greeted by a few stares. As he made a graceful landing, his feet touching the ground, he had the impression that the people who saw him were waiting on him to do a magic trick. Jasyn had forgotten that oocca don't make many appearances on the ground unless they had to. Oh well, it was a holiday, right? He was under the impression that it was open to all!
Suddenly a thought crossed his mind. Would she be into these kinds of stuff? The blond oocca looked around hoping to find a familiar face. A chuckle managed to come out of his mouth realizing he would be better off finding a needle in a haystack. With so many people around what were the odds of them meeting up here?[/style][style=background-color: #f7f7f7;float: right; height: 370px; width: 100px; -webkit-border-radius: 0 10 10 0; -webkit-box-shadow: 1px 0px 5px #d4d4d4; padding: 10px; margin-right: -120px; margin-top: -400px; font-family: arial; font-size: 20px; color: #da2328; letter-spacing: -1px; ]notes i hope this post is good. i suck at these things ;3;

Even if she were to run into her Minish Elders here, there was nothing they could do to bring her back home! She wanted to explore Hyrule and see all she could see, and this... this was the epitome of what Hyrule was. Many different creatures gathered in the fields for this large festivity. Jamie wandered down the rows of booths and carts, gazing at all of the wonderful and beautiful trinkets that people had made for this special occasion. It was tempting not to buy everything! It'd probably help those vendors out too! But Jamie had to resist. Being a humble leader, she did not want to show off her status any more than she needed to. Her unique tattoos and clothing probably showed that off just fine. Even though there were many people here, it'd be easy to pick her out through the crowd. Stark white hair, dotted with crimson, intricately designed robes, special to only her...
As Jamie wandered, she was happy to see some of the people she had met along her journey. She greeted them with a wave and a kind hug, but to the strangers (or potential friends, as she liked to call them!) she simply said hello and offered a wave. That was all she did as she walked by the blond haired Oocca. Mind you, it had been years since Jamie had seen her dear friend, and people grow with time. She probably did not recognize him, even if he recognized her. What she did pick up on was a familiar scent... It made her stop dead in her tracks. "Hyuuu?" Jamie titled her head and turned on a heel, looking everywhere for the source of that familiar scent. But it was lost in the crowd before she even had a chance to spot him.
"Maybe... it was something else? Hauu..." The picori bit her lip softly and turned to walk down the rows again. Her trek was slower and less involved than it was before. There was just a nagging feeling in the back of her mind... Was it who she thought it was, and she had missed her chance at a reunion? Nonsense. Jamie shook her head. There were many different smells and many different people here, her senses were probably just muddled. She sighed and let her feet continue to carry her, with no real destination in mind.[/style] |

He didn't notice it before until in that very instant. The people don't seem as small as they did when you were looking up at their heads. Not to mention it was much nicer to get a look at faces rather than the top of their heads! His attention was drawn for a briefing or two to gaze upon the treasures that traveling businesses laid out on their stands. It all ranged from weapons to the finest jewelery rupees could afford. While they were all lovely to look at the oocca really had no interest in buying anything for himself. One of the merchants gave Jasyn a nasty glare for being a window shopper.
It wasn't his problem.
As he turned around he caught a glimpse of a white streak pass his vision. In that instant, he paused in his tracks, and his eyes quickly followed the trail of the white streak's direction. There wasn't the slightest hesitation in his motions as he moved away. His heart began pounding, in eagerness and excitement, pondering if that was exactly who he thought it was. How long as it been since he fell from the sky? It was a long time ago. The blond did take into consideration that the years gone by certainly would show on both of them.
He had no time to lose! Jasyn kept in mind that it may not be her, but he'll never know unless he finds out for sure. His eager blue eyes lit up with hope as he moved with the grace of a chicken with it's head cut off to catch up with the familiar white he saw earlier. There were to complaints, and unhappy guests of the festival in his way saying not-so-nice things but he paid no heed. "Excuse me!" he called out, "Miss Snow-White!" He didn't have any other clever way to call her out without it seeming rude. At least, Snow white would make it seem like he was complimenting her, ne?[/style][style=background-color: #f7f7f7;float: right; height: 370px; width: 100px; -webkit-border-radius: 0 10 10 0; -webkit-box-shadow: 1px 0px 5px #d4d4d4; padding: 10px; margin-right: -120px; margin-top: -400px; font-family: arial; font-size: 20px; color: #da2328; letter-spacing: -1px; ]notes wow, i fail. i pressed post reply instead of preview without my post temp xD

She heard the calls to a "snow-white", but she thought nothing of it at the moment. But curiosity struck her, so she glanced around. There didn't seem to be anyone with white hair around... except for herself. Jamie blinked and turned toward the source of the voice. One index finger pointed at her chest as she confusedly asked, "Me?"
It seemed she still did not recognize who it was... But that familiar scent drifted through her senses again. It seemed all too familiar... Could it be? Jamie felt her cheeks heat up a little as a tiny blush crept across her face. "Ah... ah, I do have a name, sir." She couldn't be quite so sure it was who she thought it was, so in her situation of doubt, it'd be best to remain polite and formal. Jamie bowed quickly so that her blushing face could be cast downward and left unseen. "It is Jamilen Shi'larra to el Nolbrae... but please, call me Jamie."
With a deep inhale, she regained her composure and bent back up with a soft smile on her face. If it was him... he'd remember her name, right?[/style] |

His own pacing started to decrease until he came to a complete stop approaching the person he called out. Just as he got her attention he was close enough to get a better glimpse of her and know for sure if it was her. Her face, her hair, her eyes, and those recognizable ears and tail. When she pointed to herself asking if he was referring to she when he said 'snow-white' Jasyn nodded his head eagerly. His bangs bobbled with the up and down motion softly.
The moment she spoke he knew he didn't need anymore to figure it out that it really was her. It was Jamie! There was no mistaking it. By gods, time certainly did change her appearance but her voice was still the same as ever. Jasyn's smile widened from ear to ear. Oh, what a glorious day! A soft chuckle came out of his lips listening to her introduce herself. He officially removed any doubt he had left of her identity. "I know who you are," he replied, "I'm Jasyn. Jasyn Rilen. Remember? I'm your friend from Snow Peak."
For a split second, he nearly regretted giving himself away feeling like he could have given her a bit of time to figure out who he was. He could have played around a bit more, but he was far too excited to think of such frivolous notions. He felt like soaring up to the sky and move the clouds around just make a rainbow appear. Not that he had such powers, but you get the drift! He bowed a perfect forty-five degree angled bow in respect of the Minish Chief. "It's been a while, Jamie."[/style][style=background-color: #f7f7f7;float: right; height: 370px; width: 100px; -webkit-border-radius: 0 10 10 0; -webkit-box-shadow: 1px 0px 5px #d4d4d4; padding: 10px; margin-right: -120px; margin-top: -400px; font-family: arial; font-size: 20px; color: #da2328; letter-spacing: -1px; ]notes n/a

For a moment, it was as if her heart had stopped. "...Jasyn? Is it really you?" She blinked again and tried soaking up as much of his appearance as she possibly could, but it was hard to do when he was bending over in a bow! She quickly pulled him up by the shoulders and snatched him into a tight hug. "I knew I smelled something familiar!" As she nuzzled herself against his neck, her tail wagging like a giddy little pup, she inhaled deeply. There was no doubting it now. She should have followed her gut and went after him first, the first time she smelled this familiar scent.
So many questions were running through her head right now! Like how long had he been here, what had he been up to all this time... but all she could bring herself to do was nod, her eyes slowly brimming with tears. "It has been much too long, dear friend."[/style] |

Literally. He didn't have time to complete his bow when he felt Jamie tug him up, and embraced him. He was taken by complete surprise by the minish girl's hug. His arms wrapped around her gently placing a small squeeze against her form. There were no words left that could outright justify the joy that was welling up inside of the blond oocca. Jamie was here in his arms! Jasyn didn't want to ever let her go. "The one, and the same," he replied back.
He smiled noticing from behind her wolf tail wagging back, and forth. She was just as ecstatic about reuniting with him as Jasyn was with her! It was an relief to know that she hasn't forgotten about him. There was no way in hell he could ever forget about her. A whole lifetime could come and go, but he could never forget about Jamie. "Indeed, a very long time," he brushed a few strands of her snow white locks, "Don't cry. We can't have tears on this joyous day."
Like he had any room to talk. While crying wasn't the first on his list of things he'd do; he wanted to shout as loud as he could for the world to hear. Jasyn wanted the world to know he found his friend again. He pulled her away slowly. His blue eyes peering into hers with the softest look he's ever given anyone before. "Are you on your own by any chance?" he inquired. "You're right... I'm sorry," Jamie said as she wiped her eyes. This was going to be a joyous day, there was no room for tears on this day, no matter if the tears she was going to shed were happy. No tears! Jamie nodded her head and regained her composure, hugging him tightly once more before he pulled away.
When he looked at her with that tender gaze, Jamie felt as if her heart had stopped. She wasn't used to such kindness and tenderness. With her family, it was always "You must be proper/You must be polite/You must do as you're told or you'll be in big trouble!" They were always hard on her. Having such kindness directed in her way for once felt... really nice. It meant even more to her because it was her dear friend.
Jamie let a sweet smile touch her lips as she nodded. "Yes, I am on my own. I have been on my own for a long time..." Apparently she didn't understand what he meant, naive as she was.

He should have known better than to ask such a subtle question. Jamie picked up on subtlety like a puppy picked up water with just her bare paws. That is to say, it slipped through her hands like it slipped right through mind as to what he was getting at. Not that it bothered him in the least. It only goes to show that she was still as innocent, and sweet as she was way back when he first met her.
"Well, let's change all that, starting right now!" He went along with her statement then twisted around to something more optimistic. He would never leave her on alone as long as he could help it. "It would be my pleasure to accompany you in this grand festival. We need to catch up - Oh, and if you're ever hungry, I'll treat you to some food."
There was so much to do, but time was very limited! Was he an opportunist? Maybe just a little, but who wouldn't want to please a pretty girl like her? To be perfectly honest, he was filled with bliss simply by being with her. Her smile could cure any cloudy day when he was feeling horrible. It was like a panacea for loneliness and broken hearts just because she looked so adorable. Jasyn quickly shook off his errant thoughts away keeping track of the present. "What do you say?" he asked eagerly. Ah, patience wasn't one of his strong points.[/style][style=background-color: #f7f7f7;float: right; height: 370px; width: 100px; -webkit-border-radius: 0 10 10 0; -webkit-box-shadow: 1px 0px 5px #d4d4d4; padding: 10px; margin-right: -120px; margin-top: -400px; font-family: arial; font-size: 20px; color: #da2328; letter-spacing: -1px; ]notes n/a

Jamie was simply filled with glee. The thought of having some company seemed absolutely wonderful, she had no idea why he would ever think she would decline his offer! With an excited nod, she agreed to his proposal. "Oh yes, yes! I would be overjoyed to have you accompany me!" Her tail never stopped wagging.
Crimson glanced around for a moment. It was all becoming overwhelming to her all of a sudden. There were so many places to go, and so much to see in this grand festival! Jamie whimpered softly before taking her gaze away from it all. "But where shall we start? There is so much to do..." And so little time. Jamie had nowhere to be in particular, but she had not a clue as to how long her Ooccan friend would stay in Hyrule. It was rather saddening.
But not even that could ruin her mood right now. What mattered most was that she had this precious time to visit with him, they just needed a place to start! So, Jamie simply began to walk, slowly of course, so her company could keep up with her. A curious tone rose in her voice as she asked, "What have the Goddesses planned for you these past few years, Jasyn?"

"Wonderful!" Jasyn had to resist the urge to reach out a hand, and pet her. An amused thought crossed his mind realizing that despite the many people who came to the festival coming, and passing between the two, his eyes could only stay in focus on the cheerful minish girl. He wanted to keep that beautiful smile of hers forever.
If she only knew how much control she had over his heartstrings. With every passing moment those thin strands tugged his heart in her direction. He convinced himself that being with her would be enough. He would make this day a remarkable one, something they would both remember when the sands of time ebbed them closer, and closer to another day. He chuckled at her insecurity of what they should do first. Honestly? He was content with being with her for the rest of the festival. They could do anything, and everything together...
As if they were on a date.
What was going through his mind? Nonsense. His aberrant thoughts were cast aside realizing he shouldn't be thinking about such things. He just reunited with her! She was his best friend. Pretty much the only friend he had in Hyrule. Her voice took him out of his strayed thoughts waking him up back into reality. His walk was paced to keep up with his sweet companion. "Many years have passed, but my days have been spent strengthening my wings," he pointed to his back. A few feathers poking out from the sides. "I wanted to become stronger. Strong enough to return to Hyrule, and see you again."
He was quite ashamed to admit he was an exceptionally weak flier. Jamie would know, it was exactly how he met her in the first place. Due to his poor wings he wasn't up to par with his fellow ooccan flock. He didn't want to show his sorry face back to Jamie until he could fly better. Sad, wasn't it?
