"Festival of the gods, huh?"
Brouda stared at a great big sign reading the words while he rubbed his massive crystal covered chin with great curiosity. Only a few days would have passed since Brouda made the descent down Death Mountain, and already his head was filled with basic knowledge about the lands beneath the clouds. Suddenly, a faint smirk grew across his face as the many people around him began giving worried looks and gawking at the magnificent crystal protruding from his titan like body, but Brouda didn't notice. He was thinking more about this Festival of the gods, hopefully there would be many food to eat, or even better, a challenger to push his past his limitless limits. With slow and heavy steps, The Crystal King slowly turned around giving birth to mini-tremors within a three feet radius as he did so. This caused the people near him to bounce slightly as he walked by, adding more to their fear. A type of exhale bubble would form around Brouda as he slowly walked through the festival looking at the many stands of food and games softly chuckling to himself. The citizens feared his massive size and the dangerously sharp crystal sticking out and swinging around aimlessly, so they kept far away from the Goron. Suddenly, a group of heavily armored guards stood directly in front of the Titan; weapons drawn with the passion of proud warriors burning furiously within their eyes.
"What is your business here, Goron!?"
"Business? I'm here to enjoy this so called 'festival', friend. That's all.""You Lie! You scare the women and children with your movements! We can't allow this, Goron!" "Lie? Why would I lie? I don't know you people, and you people don't know me. And if your people are scared of my movements, than I apologies. They must have never been blessed with the sight of a true warrior before. HAHAHA!""What?! That's it! Prepare yourself, Goron!" "Do what you must, Friend. Just don't hold me responsible for the outcome..."[/blockquote][/blockquote]

So this is the festival of the gods, huh? Link smiled. He never had the opportunity to visit a festival of such grandeur before. If he would have known earlier he probably would have joined the active community, and dressed up for the occasion. It was a small price to pay for going to the event in the first place. The festival itself was certainly far away from home, and it wasn't often that he made trips outside of his native province. From the look of things everything appeared calm, and everyone was having a good time. Nothing could come remotely close to enjoying the tranquility, but unfortunately, peace doesn't last forever.
The hylian nearly fell over on his backside after feeling the small tremors shaking the very earth beneath his feet. His sky blue eyes widened a bit as he caught his balance. Then over to the cause of these tiny quakes. Close call. What was all of that about? It was a goron. Blinking, he raised a brow up baffled over how big this person really was. By a landslide, he towered over the blond but what made the goron stand out the most was the attraction he was getting. A bead of sweat formed on his temple as he watched a group of guards confront Brouda.
I wonder why they're so upset? Link tilted his head a portion. He approached the group. His expression was laced with concern as it looked pretty tense. He felt like he should help the guy out, but the goron didn't appear like he was in any stress.
"Is everything ok?" he got straight to the point.

Brouda stood ready; arms crossed up against his massive glistening chest as he watched the moments of the approaching guard. The guard held a five foot spear with a twisting blade directly out in front of his being as the heavy armor he had on caused clicking sounds after every heavy step. The Crystal King smiled, showing a great amount of canine type teeth. His big black eyes switched from joint to joint with great haste, upon doing this, he almost instantly knew where the predictable guard would throw the first attack. But the young Goron didn't move a single muscle, he stood waiting. The look within Brouda's eyes stayed clear and powerful. The crystals protruding from his hulk like body caught the faint glow of the all mighty sun beaming down overhead, giving Brouda's body a godlike glowing aura. Approaching the massive Goron, the guard looked up at the smiling face of the beast with piercing optics. Thrusting the spear forward with all his might, the twisting blade created a loud whistle within the air as it made it's way towards the mighty chest of Brouda. Suddenly, within the blink of an eye, the Titan swiftly grabbed the wooden area right before the twisting blade hit the target, and caused the attack to instantly stop do to the great strength blessed upon a Goron. Applying a great deal of brute strength with hands three times the size of a humans, Brouda snapped the spear in two halves like it was nothing but a small twig. The guard leaped back while clinching his teeth tightly closed. Suddenly, the voice of a young boy broke up the violence causing Brouda, the guard he was fighting, and the guards partner to quickly look in the direction in which the voice came from.
"Child! Stay back! I shall slay this beast for the good of the festival!"
"HAHAHA! You should really listen to this boy, Friend. What happened to your weapon could have easily been your skull if I wished it." "SILENCE, BEAST!"

Link watched in silence as the dispute intensified at a dramatically increased rate. While it really wasn't his business in the first place he didn't want to see anyone get hurt. Especially in a public area where there were crowds staring at the commotion in the sidelines. There was the possibility of others getting hurt in their conflict as well. One could hope that reason would prevail out of this.... somehow. From the looks of things, he really didn't see any reason for the guards to be so, for a lack of a better of a better word, uptight about the goron's presence. He seemed like he was just going on with his business. The hylian was also aware that the guards meant good as well.
He watched as one of the guards prepared a spear intended to impale the goron. Was that necessary? Even Link had his doubts with the goron's rock hard skin that it would stab through the surface, and what was if Brouda gave it a thought. However the giant reply to the initial assault was to take the spear by the hand crushing it in two with a simple squeeze. Just hearing the wooden end of the spear snapping in two made the boy in green a little wary.
"He's not a beast," he explained. He was a goron, but we'll leave redundant facts to be you know, the given. "He didn't mean any harm towards anybody. Let's leave him with a warning to watch where he's going from now on, ne?" Link gave a small smile hoping that explanation would help rest the case. The guards didn't look like they wanted to deal with anymore than what they had to handle in order to uphold the peace of the festival. Surely that would be suffice?

It was obvious the heavily armored guard truly believed he was doing right; doing what was best for the people who wanted nothing more but to enjoy this glorious day. Calling out Brouda was a natural response, he did cause crocked looks and gawk, but other than that, no real trouble was created. So in all reality, it seemed this prideful yet very foolish guard jumped the gun, and almost ended up seriously hurt in the process.
The guard smirked as he threw his massive metal arm up into the air. With a few quick finger snaps, one of the other men in armor unsheathed their sword and skillfully tossed it over to the man facing Brouda. The guard caught the sword and quickly positioned the blade to go for yet another attack. The smile upon the young Gorons face never died, instead of standing, Brouda wanted to play with this brave man, only just for a little while. The Crystal King stood tall, he slightly shifted his left leg in front of his right, while both his arms hovered a few inches away from his face. Massive hands were put into crystal fists as his body softly bobbed from left to right. The armored guard watched the movements and instantly felt something wasn't right. The stance itself seemed "speedy", as in it relayed in quick, perfect movements. But who could this be? All Goron were slow and normally easy slow-moving targets, so what made this one any different? A sudden wave of doubt hit the human man as his body began shaking. The powerful grip he had with the sword slowly loosened. But before anything else could happen, the mysterious boy in green spoke again. This time, his words carried truth; something Brouda couldn't get across the guard no matter how hard he tried.
"Y-Y-Yes.... You're correct, boy! I'll let this beast off with a warning! Any more disruption and you'll face the swift blade of justice!"
"HAHAHA! Understood, Friend. I will behave myself."
With that settled, and the guards long gone. Brouda made his way over to the friendly youth who saved the armored man from a very serious injury. The titan towered over the mysterious youth. His green outfit made Brouda smile, humans wore the weirdest of clothes in his eyes. With a small chuckle, Brouda looked down upon the youth with a giant friendly smile. "It's refreshing to see a human with pride and respect for outsiders! HAHAHA! I thank you, Friend. I had no intention on causing any harm today, but that would've easily backfired if you weren't around... HAHAHA!" [/blockquote][/blockquote]

For a moment there Link felt his words wouldn't reach the guard before it was too late. He worried over how hopeless the situation was becoming, and that someone was going to end up with a broken bone or two out of this. With a simple hand gesture the guard's colleague gave him a sword on a moment's notice. He took up a stance of assault ready to make a move on the goron. The green garbed hylian felt his stomach tighten up from the suspense. The goron, however, didn't seem at all that phase with the weapon being drawn and pointed straight at him.
Alas! The guard lowered his sword listening to Link's reasoning much to his delight. He was willing to allow Brouda off with a warning to mind where he was going for other people's sake, and safety. A smile could be found on the boy's lips relieved that nobody in the end got hurt. It was all a big misunderstanding so with a little bit of help everything was fixed. The guard made it his warning to Brouda not to make any further disturbance in the festival area crystal clear. Pun not intended.
His laugh was very earthly as he graciously complimented the Ordonian resident for the assistance. Pride? One could suppose that was one way of putting it. Link thought of it nothing more than lending a helping hand. There was a vast difference between putting your nose in other people's business and putting your kindness in other people's problems. He gave a small nod of his head before giving a proper response, "You're welcome. I'm glad I could help."

This human boy was very polite, he seemed to have no problem with Brouda being around during this glorious festival. It's been about two weeks since Brouda left home for his personal journey, and throughout this very short time, he has met very odd humans; most dangerous, while others kind and gentle like this very youth standing directly in front of him. The Crystal King crossed both his arms up across his massive hulk like chest; blocking most of the sun directly behind him do to sheer size and body mass alone. The young Goron examined the youth, upon noticing the green clothes, The Titan layed eyes upon a sword. Was this green clothed youth a warrior of some kind? Someone so small really couldn't be battling, right? Shaking his head from left to right a few times, The Crystal King got the judgmental thoughts out of his head; for a split second, Brouda wasn't no better then the guard who attempted to slay him. With a thunderous voice, and friendly words, the young Goron spoke a few more words, in response to what the green covered youth said while eyeing the sword. It didn't look like it could penetrate his crystal, but anything could happen under the right circumstance.
"It's rare to see a human with such politeness! We Goron honor all races, no matter the situation or circumstance. I honestly find it a little strange to see one so young with the same sentiment as my people. Who knows, maybe you were a powerful Goron in another life! HAHAHAH!!!"

Link didn't have a problem with anybody per say. Rather he tries to see the better side of others no matter what shape or size they may take. It wasn't that he was completely accepting toward other races, but more along the lines, if you respect them you're more than likely going to be returned the favor. Link knew nothing about the world outside of his home so this was certainly a good experience for him to learn, and understand other costumes, and nature of those who live in the same lands country as he. If that was a good way to put it.
When Brouda explained how Link may have been a goron in another life he gave a smile. He shrugged lightheartedly not quite sure if that might have been the case. In the end it was still a pleasure to help him out knowing that he would enjoy the festival with a careful eye out this time. Link thought of it as a way to keeping the peace for the holidays. "I'm not sure about that," he scratched the back of his head softly, "but I'm sure you can enjoy the festival better now without spears or swords in your face."
Speaking of which that did bring up a good point. There were plenty of first timers here at the festival including himself. The first experience was surely the one that leaves the impression if they wanted to come around again or not. He wondered, "Is this your first festival?"
If it was then there was certainly another thing they shared in common.
