Dagorn had though himself fortunate when a group of men had offered to show him around the city. They seemed vary friendly and were very talkative with Dagorn. They even talked about their jobs and how much money they made. Soon it became Dagorns turn and he told them he had 400 rupee in his purse, a mistake he would soon regret. The thieves led Dagorn to the seedy part of town and soon he was being led into an alleyway. The cut off his exit and had him trapped. As they drew their knives and other weapons Dagorn realized that they were going to kill and or rob him. Backed up in an ally his options were very few and since he did not know weather the men would attempt to harm him if he gave them his purse. Still this was his only option as he was it was to give them the money.
" Here is my gems then but I remind you that should you not let me leave at this instant I will not hesitate to show you why they call us Gorons the people of stone
Dagorns bid for attempting to de excilate the situation had failed to get the brigands to leave. He had seen their faces and they worried he would seek vengeance on them for taking his money. They closed in tentatively to kill the rocky fellow. He may be strong but they knew the 10 of them could have taken him. One moved in to attack Dagorn. The rouge thrusted his blade only to feel the crushing embrace as Dagorn wrapped his arms around the mans torso. With a pivot and a raise of his left Leg Dagoron executed a sweeping hip throw tossing the man to the ground before stepping back into the dead end of the alleyway. There was hesitation in they eyes of the burglars as they did not want to be the next to get tossed. This was only a temporary fix as soon brains would overcome fear and they would think to rush Dagorn.

Another day visiting the city of Westport, another day finding more and more of the corruption I intend to do my best to correct. This time however, I find that a naive Goron has just come in contact with some members of the seediest gang in the city. Though most of them are small fry, their numbers are great, and their morals few, making them dangerous adversaries.
I decide to follow the Goron to see what these vandals are up to and put a stop to it. As I turn the corner, I see the men back the Goron into the end of the alley and attempt to assault him, that being a big mistake, as the first to do so met with quite the headache...
I walk down the alley and remove my wing-daggers from my belt and sneak up behind the nearest men to me as I hit their pressure points with the handles of my blades, causing them to slump to the ground with a groan.
I walk behind the rest and tap the nearest one on the shoulder before punching him in the face as the others turn around.
You guys need to liven up a little, every time I run into you, you're causing trouble... If you don't want to end up in a suitcase in the middle of the ocean, you guy's'd better hightail it out of here before I get mad.

This was not boding well the men were just about ready to attack in an all out blitzkrieg. Suddenly a figure came up ands started attacking them. The stranger wielded two daggers. and early dispatched the a few of the attackers. Scaring off the rest with a quick backhanded threat. They even left behind Dagorn's purse. In seconds the only ones left were Dagorn and Caramon. Dagorn walked forward to pickup his purse and looked the man in the eye.
"Thank you for your assistance. My name is Dagorn and you have my thanks for all you have done. Those men wanted to fight and I was afraid of injuring them dispute their harsh intentions, I wish no permanent harm on anyone. And I am afraid that I would cripple a lesser man were I to strike them. What is your name good stranger?

As the thugs run off, I turn back to the Goron.
No thanks necessary Dagorn, you would've pro'ly done the same for me. I understand how you feel, since I almost completely held back on them myself. They're just trouble makers who run at idle threats, so there's not really anything to worry about.
My name... is Caramon Zero.
Let's get out of this alley so that when they come back they can retrieve their buddies, alright? No sense in getting into more fights for no reason, am I right?
As I walk out of the alley I turn to my friend and smile.
So what brings you so far from the Mountain, my friend? It's rare to see a "Pureblood" Goron out here by the sea.

Dagorn thanks the man named Caramon of his assistance in the matter. The man was dressed and looked odd no doubt. He had tattoo's covering his body and red hair. They moved out of the alley way and began walking and talking. Caramon wanted to know, just like everybody who meet Dagorn, wanted to know why he left Death Mountain. This was an understandable question as very few Gorons ever left their home up on Death Mountain.
"I left to go meet the other people in the world I am being promoted to a position of some relevance in my tribe and I need to know the people of the outside world, I assume that every race such as my own has customs and traditions like my people. And I seek to learn of the so that I can be a more gracious host to whomever vists Death Mountain."

Well, it seems that you're about to come into a position of great power as well. I trust you'll do well my friend. In fact, I'll give you my support as the Hybrid Grandmaster and help you to reach your goal.
Anyway, you must be hungry after your long trip my friend. I know a great place over here that people say the food's to die for.
I point in the direction of a tavern with "CZ" written in big bold letters on a sign with odd symbols that seem to be some sort of language, but are hard to make out due to the poor handwriting. I turn to my friend with my eyes showing both joy and irritation as I read it aloud.
"A Famous Chef Will Be Gracing Our Humble Tavern! All Meals Half Price, This Week Only!"
...I guess they heard I was in town again... Well, I guess it can't be helped...
I'm sorry to ask this of you, but would you mind helping me with some cooking my friend? One Hybrid can only do so much alone, despite being descended from Oocca, Gorons, Hylians, and Humans, I can only do so much by myself. All I'd need help with would be the logs for the stoves and the smashing of rocks for some of the meals.
I won't force you to help, so you can just wait for me to cook you up my Gourmet Granite Grabbers, a recipe I designed for Gorons, if you want to just wait in the mead hall. It's your call my friend.

The man was talkative no doubt about it. But that was a good trait in Dagorns mind. After all dagorn was sued to being in the mine by himself digging away at the earth. Some conversation and a meal was a welcomed change. Dagorn did not have the heart to tell the chef that he was ate rocks and was more than content to eat the dirt and not to go to the trouble of cooking him a meal. Dagorn turnt to his new friend with a smile on his face.
"I would be more than happy to assit you in you preparations of the peoples meals. After all you did assit me again the rouges and I have nothing better to do. You are the Hybrid Grandmaster? It is a pleasure and an honor to meet you!"
If the man who saved him was the leader of the entire race of hybrids! What an fortunate turn of events. With any luck Dagorn and the man could become allies and he could strengthen the bonds of their impromptu friendship. Dagorn was worried about how reclusive his people had become and It was his goal to bring them into the world economy and politics for the betterment of all policies involved. Soon the world would be filled with Goron made weapons and tools and his people would be enjoying new stones and mineral delicacies that they had never tasted.

The pleasure is all mine my friend.
As we enter the tavern the bartender, a man with a robust belly and eyes like a hawk, walks over to me and offers his hand as I shake it and pat him on the back with my other hand.
The poor man is mute, but he knows how to get his "point" across.
I say as I point to many rows of throwing knives and daggers hanging from his belt.
I escort my friend to the kitchen and show him where the logs and stones are by the long row of ovens and stoves on the back wall.
All you have to do is smash these rocks and throw an occasional log in the fire, pretty simple really, but very important.
You can also sample the quality of some of the rocks if you'd like, since, sadly, I'm unsure of what taste they really posses as my tastes are more oriented towards that of meat instead of stone.
I'm sorry if I don't talk to you for a bit, but I just lose myself when I'm cooking, so you'll have to forgive me if I'm rude.
I start to working on my many recipes for this evening's meal and occasionally look to see how my friend is fairing, while only asking his opinion on the quality of each stone he hands me, using only the best for my recipes.

Dagorn started tossing logs into the fire with one hand while smashing rocks with the other. It took vary little effort for Dagorn to do either task and he soon feel into a rythem of work. Smash, toss, hand over repeat. The work was easy and it remind Dagorn of his work in the mines. "I must ask Caramon who are there rocks for? Do other races eat them?

After finishing a dish, I move it aside and turn to my companion.
Well, I use them for Goron dishes, as well as to add more flavor to specific dishes that need a little more kick. Afterwards, I reuse some of the highest quality stones for cooking, and use the others to make jewelry for the stall vendors, and rockcandy for Goron desserts.
It's a wonder what you can't do with some of these stones, since they can go into almost anything.
I turn back to my stove as I prep the next dish.
How about we have a break in a little bit and have us something to eat?

Dagorn found Caramon interesting. The man was very down to earth and for someone who was the leader of an entire race. There was something refreshing about seeing the leader of the entire hybrid people in the kitchen cooking food for random people. It showed how humble the man was to Dagorn. A trait that Dagorn admired. Still Dagorn's mind was not made up on the leader of the hybrids the man seemed complex and there was more to him than meet the eye. All of Dagorn's roaming thoughts came to the halt when his belly rumbled and he heard his gracious host offer a snack break.
"I would love to have a good meal. I have spent most of my past month eating random rocks off the ground with no concern for taste. So this will be a welcome change. Tell me more about you good Sir Caramon."

After finishing the last dish, and hearing what my friend has to say, I head for the back room and bring a black pot with strangely colored stones in it.
These are the rare "Music Stones", named for the unique sound they make when made into flutes, ocarinas, and the like. According to most people, these rocks are very rare, but I discovered a treasure trove of these right near here. If you like the dish I make you, you might like to let your people try some of these stones after I show you the source.
I walk over to the stove and cook up my Gourmet Goron Grabbers, a dish that uses the stones to their fullest, as they become like a paste when ground, and almost like a thick soup when added to water, which then has ungrounded rocks added into that. After finishing that and setting it aside to let it cool, I fix myself a simple dish consisting of multiple kinds of meat, as well as fruits and vegetables, with a stone in the center to give it flavor. After finishing both meals, I walk over to my friend and hand him his dish and smile.
It took a bit of work, but I hope you like it.
I sit down and say a prayer in thanks for the food, then I start eating what I'd fixed for myself, pausing occasionally to tell my friend about myself.
My friend, formality isn't needed when addressing me, I'm just Caramon. I may be a Leader, but I still only see myself as one of the people of Hyrule. Despite what I am on the outside, I'm just the same as anyone else.
Just because I have a position of power doesn't mean I should just wave it around all the time to make people do things for me. Everyone has a choice to do what they believe is right, and I don't hold it against them, but if someone believes that hurting others for no good reason to make themselves better is right, I have no choice but to stop them.
I eat some more and regain my composure before asking him a question.
What else would like to know, my friend? I'm also curious as to know more about you as well.

Dagorn began eating his meal. He ate slow as to not break any table manners. He listened intently as he filled his belly with food stopping for the polite nod, or smile. The man was verily friendly and loved to talk. Dagorn found the mans leadership style different than Dagorn was used to. He seemed to be very lax in his leadership and not exert much control or direction over his people. As a matter of fact he seemed content being a cook doing random acts of good on the side. It gave Dagorn some confusion. He grew up in Goron City itself where the Elders were revered and you addressed them by their title and their advice and their rulings omnipresent. So acts such as not not calling someone by their title was something that was very hard for Dagorn to do dispute Caramon's wishes.
"Ah true, But ones are given positions of power for a reason and if they fail to use that when it is necessary it can lead to the demise or injury for others. But perhaps I am just to used to the ridged rules of my people. You seem a very interesting person and I would love to hear more, Is there anything else you wish to know of me? I know I can be untalkative at times."

I can understand the feelings of my companion as he says those words, closing my eyes for but a moment to think of an answer.
My friend, you are right. It is exactly as you said, they must use it when the time is right, as using too early shall lead to their downfall, and too late will lead to the downfall of others, that is why I only tell those I absolutely trust my true status, so as not to allow any to be harmed for things beyond my control that I seem to be the cause of.
I take another bite, chew it slowly, then set my utensils down and swallow before continuing.
"A people are not judged by the power of their Leader, but by their ability to survive." That's something someone told me long ago, and, if that be true, it seems that Hyrule is filled with many hardy people. What I mean by this is that no matter how much a people look up to their Leader, no matter how devoted they are to them, no matter who they believe their Leader to be, they are only great as a unified people, with each individual part working together to maintain the whole. The Leader is but the eyes, mouth, and nose, none of which are absolutely necessary, just more convenient. If a Leader dies, don't they find someone to take their place from among the many, and then, in turn, doesn't someone replace the one chosen? A Leader is there for his people, but also for his friends, both as near and dear as family, at least that's the way I see it.
I stop and look down at my nearly completely eaten food with sad eyes, then I look back to my friend.
I'm sorry my friend, I tend to talk too much sometimes when I become filled with emotion. Please tell me of how things came to be to where you decided to go on your journey, as well as more about yourself, as I have mainly been the one speaking this entire time, and I'm finding myself quit rude.
I now sit silently waiting to hear my friend's story, wondering just what he has done for his great quest.

OOC: I am sooo sorry I thought I had posted a good by message saying that I would be gone for a few days during december but Apparently It didn't post. Hope I did not cause any inconvenience. Between the rush of planning holiday parties, xmas shopping and helping a friend quit drugs I have not had much leisure time. Caramon Zero was the most talkative person Dagorn had ever met in his travels. This was not a bad thing though. It showed that Caramon Zero had very little to hide and did not care to. The man was willing to tell his tale to Dagorn without hesitation so it was only fair that Dagorn did the same. Telling the tale of how he came to leave Death Mountain. It was a long tale for sure, but it was rather un remarkable. The details that were interesting or important were private matters that should not even be discussed amongst the other Gorons. His life was very boring other than the few times he had to drag students before the council. Still it was only fair to be forward with Caramon Zero. The man held no secrets and it would be unfair for Dagorn to do so to him.
" I was in charge of hosting a Sumo wrestling tournament in honor of a visiting Gerudo. She asked for some metal and helped carry it down the mountain. While I was carrying it I realized that I had not seen the world outside of the mines. Since there were rumors of me being promoted I decided that it would be best if i traveled the world to spread knowledge of my people and for me to learn other about other peoples cultures. Knowledge is a tool more versatile than the finites magic blade and It is my intent to use it for the betterment of my people. A goal that as the leader of the hybrid I am sure you can understand"
