The festival was always a fun time of year merely unwind and enjoy yourself for a few days. No tensions, petty fights, or feeling overly stressed from the daily events known as life. Alleria had never been to this sort of thing as a child, and she wished her mother and father had taken her during her childhood. Perhaps it was for the best, since seeing a lone Gerudo with her human husband in the midst of the other races was not the best of ideas. Idly, she tugged a strand of her blue hair. Luckily, she did not have to worry about any wary glances or hesitant reactions to her presence. For once, Alleria had decided to embrace a more feminine side to her personality, and had dressed in a more traditional style of dress. The kimono had a dusky tone to it, with the simple pattern of cherry blossoms. There was more to the ensemble, and it did take a little practice to walk in the heavy fabric without tripping over herself.
Holding back a laugh at her own misgivings, she idly wondered over to the cotton candy vendor. The treat was nearly sold out, but it was always been popular during this event. Buying a pink one from the stall, she took a bite of the sugary treat. A content expression settled upon her face, and the young woman was unsure how this evening could become better. Carefully pulling back the heavy sleeves of her kimono to avoid getting the sticky treat upon it, she took another bite. Blue eyes flickered about her surroundings, quite pleased to see that mostly everyone was enjoying themselves. Honestly, taking a break from her usual combative ways was rather nice. An adrenaline rush was always quite fun, but so was taking a step back and enjoying the scenery.
Alleria pondered if she should try one of the games at all, but stuffed animals for prizes were not of much interest. They were most likely rigged to begin with, but did that really matter? She was efficient enough to be able to knock down a stack of cans with her strength. No, perhaps she would leave that for children and men trying to impress their dates. She smirked at the thought, and entertained the thought of amusing herself with watching their inept attempts. Wow, she really had not thought through about what she wanted to do, had she?

Corvus had decided that it would be fun for the time being to play a prank on someone. He had slipped into a dark alley as a man, and came out a cat. Posing as a stray, he wandered from stall to stall, stopping at the food stalls to see if he could get a few free handouts. Here and there he was able to swipe a scrap of food here and there, nothing particularly filling, but it all added. He was big for a cat, since his natural cat form was that of a jungle cat, as opposed to a domesticated cat, but the disguise fit his purpose.
Walking through the crowds, he had to be careful not to get kicked. It was a fairly busy time and not everyone was paying attention to what or who was at their feet. However it wasn't long before he found someone who seemed to be idly passing by, and quite easy on the eyes. Zeroing in on the blue-haired lady in the extravagant kimono, he walked up to her feet. This was a trick he had learned from his father, how to warm yourself to other people.
Walking up to her, he rubbed himself up against her leg, purring softly before standing tall on all fours in front of her and looking up. He wanted to wag his tail, but that was a trick for the dogs, and not for him.
"Mrow" was his greeting to her.

Alleria felt something brush against the folds of her kimono, and she quickly looked down to find a larger than average cat walking beside her. What in the world? Her brow quirked, and she stared at the feline with suspicious eyes. Oh, this appeared a little too convenient to be a coincidence. Not once had she spotted any animals linger around, and the only ones had been Minish entertaining a few children. His appearance was also far too exotic for any type of domesticated cat. Amusement glittered within her eyes, and her smirk widened after a moment of gazing at the obvious Minish in disguise. Oh, what was the harm in playing along? Alleria was certainly not a damsel waiting to be taken advantaged of, but sometimes playing the victim was an amusing diversion for her. His appearance was rather adorable, and she had a soft spot for animals. "And what do we have here?" she mused aloud.
The young woman bent down to run her fingers through his coarse fur gently, wondering what he hoped to gain from her. The vibrations from his throat indicated his purring, and she gently scratched the underside of his chin. Well, at least she did not have to wonder about what she wanted to do now. A much more interesting distraction, and so she continued her idle petting of the exotic feline. "You are quite an adorable cat, but I have do wonder what you want from me," she cooed sweetly, moving her fingers to scratch gently behind his ears. Perhaps her more intricate choice of clothing made her a target? Well, then he would be sorely disappointed. She was hardly a wealthy woman by any means, and made her own money by having others hire her for her blade. It was not a glorious profession by any means, but it served her well enough for the time being.
The only thing she had worth taking was the cotton candy held within her other hand, and she cast an idle gaze at the confection. Did he want her food? Alleria enjoyed the confection, but she held it in front of the cat with a quirked brow. "I should warn you, I really don't have anything worth taking. Or perhaps you're hungry?" she asked lightly. She could always find something else to eat later on. Alleria was more concerned with satiating her curiosity about the feline first~!

Corvus was enjoying the attention he was getting in this form. He dug slightly into her pets and scratches, it was as close to a massage as he was going to get all day, and he relaxed in his form. Eventually, though, he had felt considerably relaxed and knew that complacency would get him nowhere. He hopped out of her lap, as much as loved it, and turned back into his human form. Dusting himself off, he smiled at her and cracked his neck.
"Thanks, that made me feel a lot better. Truth be told, if I was after anything, there are those here that make much easier targets. You just looked bored and I really needed someone to get me behind the ear. Been bugging me all day." He laughed and extended a hand to her, still chuckling.
"No offense, I hope. Being in a woman's lap and being given affection is a luxury rarely afforded. Anyway, name's Corvus, cat when I want to be, cleaning when I don't." Hoping his natural charisma would make up for the deception, his tail began to wag ever so slightly. What could he say besides that the girl was quite lovely. Blue hair matching the sharp eyes, and an outfit that was quite elegant. However, did he have the skill set to match his? She didn't look it at first, but looks could be deceiving.

Alleria merely smiled as the feline appeared to be enjoying her affectionate petting, and she did not mind lavishing some attention upon the animal. Well, she was pretty sure that the cat was actually a Minish, but most of the Minish she had met were quite adorable and friendly. She continued to scratch the complacent cat behind his ears, cooing sweetly over his relaxed state of mind and body. Like most females, even Alleria could not help herself from succumbing to cute animals. Perhaps it was a weakness all women shared in some way. A slight weight upon her weight, and she did not mind that he was wrinkling the fabric of her kimono, because no doubt this would be the only time she would be wearing the overheated garment. Yeah, Alleria was beginning to wonder why she had succumbed to her feminine whims, because she hardly ever did so at all. It was far too much trouble to keep a perfect appearance, and just seemed so masking in the long run.
Her brow quirked as the feline jumped from her lap, and so she lifted herself up to stand once more. Mimicking his motions, she dusted off her own clothing. Blue eyes studied his human form, and realized she nearly towered over his shorter frame. Of course, she knew better than to overlook someone just for the fact of a harmless appearance. Alleria snorted in amusement, not bothering to feel offended with her unladylike reaction. Honestly, the young woman was too much of a tomboy to really care about somewhat offensive manners. "You're quite right about that. I passed a group of pretentious noble women earlier that wouldn't notice anything taken from them. Probably can't see past looking down their noses at everyone," she replied with a smirk. Alleria reached forward to shake his hand with a warmer smile in place. "Well, quite happy to help with the errant itch, then." Laughing lightly, she slowly took back her hand, folding her arms into the sleeves of her kimono.
A slight blush stained her cheeks, and she quirked her brow at his attempt at flirting. Okay, Alleria could tell he was the type to use his charisma to get out of bad situations. Good for him that she did not feel offended in the least for his little trick. "A pleasure to meet you, Corvus. Call me Alleria," she replied lightly. She noticed his tail had begin to wag, and the gesture was just rather adorable. Okay, she could definitely see Corvus as quite the charmer. It was a good thing she was immune to charmers, or so she hoped.

Well it didn't seem like she was mad. That was a relief, though if she snorted in public, she probably didn't care about a minor deception. It's not like he was pickpocketing her.
"There's something to say about noblewomen. So much prim and proper behavior, but they're all secretly nasty people. It's kind of unfortunate. They're such a group of beautiful women, for the most part at least, but they're no fun to be around." He wasn't even sure how well-off she was. She didn't appear as nobility, she would have been upset at his deception then. She didn't have any markings or something to identify her as associated with any group, and the kimono hid everything else.
He quirked his brow back at her, wondering just who this person was. She was a bit red, so maybe she appreciated the charismatic approach. Perhaps he would ask her a few questions, get an idea of who he was dealing with.
"Tell me something Alleria, if a Minish walks up to you in his or her human form and asks you to pet them in their animal form, would you do it?" He wanted to see how she felt about their current situation in reverse. She had no trouble with him actually being humanoid, but wondering how she felt was an interesting prospect. They had already met, and he had no plans to steal from her wallet, but he could use a little practice on the other skills many great thieves possessed, it was the reason he was even around.

Alleria smiled at his own assessment of the noble women fluttering about as if they owned the entire festival celebration. Honestly, she found them all to be distasteful and horribly shallow. Beauty meant little if there were no redeeming qualities on the inside. Perhaps it also had a little to do with her own bitterness toward those that believed themselves to be better than everyone else. The young woman had endured enough taunts and sneers because of her Gerudo heritage as a child. Idly, she tugged a strand of her blue hair at the thought. Well, at least the vivid color stopped anyone from thinking twice about her. Most assumed it was a hybrid of some sort, and she had never felt the need to correct them. "Not much of a loss to me. I'm more at home with a blade in hand than a fan to hide my face behind," she admitted with a smile. Waving her hand over the elaborate kimono, her cheeks darkened in a slightly embarrassed flush. "I don't usually dress up like this. I guess I just wanted to try something different."
Her head tilted, and Alleria held back a giggle at his question. He was trying to gauge her personality, right? It appeared it should be the other way around, since he had been the one playing that trick on her. "Why? Are you planning on asking me?" she teased with a small grin. Honestly, it would have made little difference to her. She had experienced far more odd things in her life than having a Minish come up to her. "Well, I don't see why not. Most Minish are pretty adorable," she answered after a moment. Was it her turn to ask a question now? Alleria was still cautious about revealing too much, since he was still a stranger.
"Why were you wandering around in your animal form? Looking for someone to steal from?" she asked lightly. There was no real accusation in her tone, and Alleria did not find herself too concerned if he admitted he had been. He hardly seemed like the type to hurt anyone. Perhaps perform some mischief for a laugh, but nothing serious. Besides, her boring evening was becoming much more interesting with his presence~!

Corvus couldn't help but smirk, though he also turned a pale red and scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. The truth was he never stole in his animal form. He used his animal form to garner attention from people and occasionally gauge them for potential theft. What he learned was that this girl was not someone to be messed with, the casual mention of her sword was indicative.
"If I wanted to test your love of a cat, I would have done exactly what I did. If I wanted to gauge your love of a Minish, I would hire a friend to come over and be a complete flirt with you. If I wanted to steal from you I wouldn't. I already know the consequences of theft. My father is spending his later years in Hyrule's dungeons." It was a tragic scene, especially since it was his screw up that caused his father's arrest.
"No, I'm not. I just love to be petted. It's the cat in me, but not the cat in me that's a drama queen. I'm a lap cat at heart, though I'm actually a hunting cat physically." When he was done he was back in his cat form, though through size shifting he was now the size of a domesticated cat. He looked up at her again, his tail flicked and he began to purr softly. Women and cats were always a wonderful combination.
