. Most of them where. The Shiekah's face was slightly sullen as she progressed through the crowded paths, doing her best to stay at the fringes. The last thing she needed was someone kicking her walking stick by accident, or on purpose. This wasn't going to happen. She could tell. People gave her a wide berth out of pity, or so she thought. The possibility that any of these people would actually care or go out of their way to make way for her for any reason other than that seemed impossible. Oh, poots. She had already broken the promise she had made to herself. Her solitary heart was screaming for her to get out of here, this was all too much. Alolu would not! give! in! She stood there for about five minutes, mulling over her decision, when she saw someone walk out of a tent with some delicious-looking fruit. Alolu gazed over the tent. Apparently it was selling food there. That fruit just looked too good do pass up. A few minutes lates, Alolu was sitting at a wooden table inside the refreshment tent with her spoils, her walking stick tucked safely underneath her chair. People where still staring at her, but she honestly didn't care anymore. Can't a Shiekah just do normal things and not be questioned? During the festival, anything was possible.[/ul]

It seemed like forever, though it had been mere weeks, since her eyes feasted upon the hustle and bustle of civilization. It was always an exciting sight that filled her with instant joy, though it never lasted long. Still, this was different than what she was used to. She had merely been wandering near the city when she heard so much joyous activity that it seemed to carry for miles. Despite her many ill memories of wandering through towns, her curiosity drew her nearer and nearer until she was swallowed by the jubilant festivities.
Not a soul could be troubled when surrounded by such cheerfulness. It was just the intoxicating sensation to draw her into a crowd. I will simply leave early was her thought. The little money she had left in her coin pouch ached to be spent at the various vendors. The most attractive of all had a display of fine cloths with elegant designs. Her eyes were drawn to a particular kimono. Due to her recent...run in with a particular Shiekah, she had lost the beautiful white kimono she had bought simply for her own vanity. Clearly, it was time for a replacement. She could not help herself. Browsing did not take long at all. Her choice was made nearly as soon as she entered the booth.
The one she chose was of a simple green cloth decorated with red and blue flowers here and there. It looked affordable enough, and oh how she wanted it. Her face lit up like a child on its birthday, she turned to the shopkeeper to inquire about the price. ”It’s what?!” she squeaked. The old woman had croaked an out a number far beyond the amount that the measly coins in her purse amounted to. Her heart sank into her stomach and her smile was wiped from existence. However could she manage to raise that much money? Surely, the cloth was not worth so much. Eating was a higher priority, and there was clearly plenty of food to spend her money on in the area. ”I apologize, ma’am. I fear I must pass.”
Begrudgingly, Aiyume walked away from the precious kimono and its sisters. It took a great amount of energy to force a smile back into the curve of her lips. There was still so much excitement around her, she could not let such a silly thing weigh her down. The city had to be experienced quickly so that she could get out in time...
Not long after she left the booth blessed with gorgeous fabrics she came across a crowd of people strangely standing around a refreshment booth. Her belly ached with the pang of hunger. She could not afford the kimono she wanted, but surely she could afford something delicious to treat her pallet with. Ignoring what the people were crowded around for, Aiyu slipped through so that she could take a seat. Whatever was motivating them to simply stare rather than enjoy clearly was over her head. She took a seat next to a woman with a delicious looking dish of fruit before her. Aiyu stared with a growing smile. “Mmm!” she hummed happily. “Madam, I would like the same delectable dish she is having.”

" Alolu always seemed shy, but anyone who knew her would disagree with that. Letting her sentences drift off into nothing was almost an unconscious thing that she had picked up a long time ago. She knew how awkward it could make new people feel, so she gave the woman her best smile. It was more of a half-smile smirk, really. [/ul]

Aiyu stared longingly for a few moments at the other woman’s cup of fruit. She had to bite down on her bottom lip out of pure excitement and anticipation. If it was as delicious as the stranger sitting next to her claimed it to be it would be the perfect distraction from her most recent disappointment. Her mind was not bothered in the slightest by the obvious fact that she sat next to a Shiekah. It was not her clothing that made this detail obvious, either. The only thing Aiyume was going off of was because she had caught a glance of red eyes. If they appeared humanoid and had red eyes, her first assumption was always Shiekah. It required no more thinking than that.
Oh, and when her own cup finally arrived she was not disappointed in the slightest. Carefully, she took the spoon and guided the first bit of fruit to her lips. The flavor was beyond anything she could have imagined. It danced across her pallet like a perfectly tuned symphony of divinity! ”Mmm,” she hummed happily.
“This is unreal!” she chirped, suddenly extremely chipper. More so than she could ever remember being. She could not contain her delight. “How do you suppose they do it? It looks like ordinary fruit. Perhaps there is something in the cream...” her words droned off as she spoke, her mind racing at a hundred miles a minute. “I don’t understand why more aren’t eating here!”

((Aaahhh I'm sorry this is kinda rushed XD)) Alolu cut off her sentence again before she could make a fool out of herself. Judging by her expression, she was getting a bit anxious. Alolu wanted to get out of here. She was uncomfortable. There where so many things that she could do at the festival that where better than this, she had been hoping to see a bit of a competition or two, maybe even learn a few things about fighting. She started shoveling fruit viciously into her mouth. There was no way she was going to let it go to waste, it was too good for that. [/ul]

Spooning another mouthful of heaven past her lips, Aiyu finally looked over at the individual sitting next to her. She had not yet looked at the woman directly until now. Whatever she had said at first escaped Aiyume’s ears, but her last words were easy to discern. Though, their meaning was not immediately apparent. She stared for a moment with a confused smile. Sure, she saw unbelievably pale skin and hauntingly red eyes, but what truly made her stare was the apparent discomfort that the stranger’s body displayed.
Admittedly, Aiyu felt somewhat ashamed. She feared she had somehow managed to make the woman uncomfortable by sitting next to her. Confused, she turned back to her cup and slowly started back at her food while the woman next to her began to shovel at hers. “I apologize if I have made you uncomfortable somehow...” she mumbled. “Though, I do not understand why they would think you might disappear into thin air,” she pondered aloud with a brief chuckle. “I can’t tell you the last time I met a normal person. Whomever defines normal clearly doesn’t have the majority in mind.”
Aiyume glanced over her shoulder at the crowd of people that were all-too-slowly losing interest in the situation. They stared at the woman next to her in a way she was only used to being stared at herself in mornings after staying a night in a town – for reasons that were beyond her. “Is it Shiekah that they are struck dumb by? They are no longer so rare as they once were, I can think of no reason why they should be surprised to see you.”

" There was no point in avoiding it now. She would just have to get this over with, and deal with whatever pity was flung her way by the Hylian woman and other bystanders. Alolu reached under the table for her trusty Branch, pulling herself up with its help. "My left leg is mostly useless, you see......" Something caught Alolu's eye, a careless thing that she noticed without even trying to. "Ahh, that boy over there..." A boy that had previously been enjoying the same dish that that she was was running away. He disappeared behind a group of people even before she could get the words out of her mouth. She whispered to the Hylian woman, not wanting to cause a fuss "That boy just stole someone's wallet!"[/ul]

Ryan's eye was twitching.
Anyone who knew him knew this meant he was was thoroughly frustrated. Who wouldn't be, given his situation? Between self-righteous pirates who committed acts of war against Kingdoms and expected to be rewarded for it, and his fellow leaders of nations acting like children, it was all a wonder that he hadn't snapped and murdered the first soft squishy thing that came across his path. He needed to be among normal people, people who weren't insane or caught up in their own personal drama-fest. What better place for that then out on the streets with the people of the land?
Well, apparently the people of the land were thieves and robbers. Gods burn their blood.
A thief with someones wallet tried, and failed, to make his getaway. It ended so quickly that only people who were deadly fighters themselves would be able to follow the motions, but at the end of the scuffle the thief was laying on the ground, his ribs broke, his left eye swollen shut and starting to bruise, and his arm holding the wallet was bent the wrong way.
In three different places.
"Din's Eye, that was cathartic." He muttered under his breath. "Take him away, lock him in the darkest cell and hope I forget out him." He said to the guards that had come running up to see what the commotion was. They nodded mutely, having already heard about the Pirate and how Ryan had arrested the man. The Champion of Humanity was basically doing the guards work for them, this did not reflect well on them at all, and they knew it.
Sighing once more, he continued down the street until he came to the person who's wallet had been stolen. Trying and failing to reassure the man that it was all in a days work, he found himself being treated to a meal of fruits and other sweets, compliments of the cook himself.
Apparently, people like a Leader who is willing to walk with the people and do some actual work in protecting them himself. Go figure?

Aiyume’s gaze gradually moved from the crowd of people to the woman sitting next to her again. She still felt rather uncomfortable with herself, thinking that she made the stranger uncomfortable by joining her. The knowledge of the woman’s leg did not truly explain the people’s reaction to her, but then again...Aiyu was not really a great judge of people’s actions. She never truly understood them. As she looked down at the leg the woman referred to, her face fell slightly. It was impossible to deny that the loss of a leg would be a great inconvenience, and she felt a little sorry for the stranger.
“I suppose that is a little inconvenient, but,” she started in a near mumble, but was interrupted as she noticed the Shiekah’s eyes dart off to the side. It influenced her to follow the woman’s gaze off to her right, but all she witnessed was the same crowd of people as before. She had looked just a moment too late to see any such boy that was mentioned. What she did see was a crowd of people: enthralled with the pale woman next to her one moment and then distracted by something behind them the next. Unfortunately, with the crowd of people around, she could not actually see anything that would tell her what was going on.
Her eyes dilated as she focused a rigid stare directly at the back of someone’s head. The man happened to be one of the crowd, standing nearest to whatever event was going on beyond her own sight. The curiosity that tugged on her mind drove her to this. She wanted to see, so she would simply...borrow. It was like a spark going off in her brain. Unseen, it flickered wildly as the connection was established for the trade. It was like watching a painting in action. Everything was blurry at first – a strange mix of random colors that did not amount to anything particular, before a few more were added...then values and texture. All until at last the picture was perfectly clear and all could be seen for what it was.
There was a child being hauled away by guards, kicking against them like any child would, and a rather confident yet irritated man walking directly toward the crowd she now shared a perspective with. Her own vision snapped back like a rubber band slapping her in the face after being stretched just too far. She was left shaking her head lightly while she squeezed her eyes shut, while the man she had targeted was looking around in confusion. He had lost the ability to see for a few moments and stumbled around thinking something was wrong with him. He looked around nervously “What the hell was that!? Did you see that?” he said to the woman next to him. Aiyu saw him as she opened her eyes again, but turned around quickly in hopes that she would not get noticed for her deed and promptly returned to her food.”This truly is the best fruit I have ever tasted,” she chirped in a forced cheery tone.
With that, she slipped a few coins from her already light purse, pushed them across the table toward the waitress playing witness before her, and slipped out of her seat. "It was a pleasure meeting you, miss," she muttered softly before turning to push her way through the crowd.
