What insanity did he manage to get himself into this time? His eyebrows furrowed softly above his abnormal twilit blue eyes trying to fathom where it is exactly that he was precisely. Upon discovering the Twilight Sovereign's departure to this new world, Akira took it upon himself to go look for her, and make sure she was ok. Of course, there wasn't the slightest hint of doubt that she could take care of herself, but his sense of responsibility would not have him sit around. He could not sit, and do nothing when he had a title to uphold. His life was spared after all in order to take up this role.
It didn't take him long to figure out either on how to move between the two worlds, and before he knew it he was in the Light Realm. What he did not expect to see was all of the lights, the music, and large mass of congregated people in the middle of the fields. Just what exactly was going on over here? Akira flinched at the bright lights unaccustomed to the harshness of how bright the lights illuminated in this realm. Fortunately, the sun had left the skies for the time being, and it was only the festival lights that bothered his eyes. For a good while on his search, he was squinting a bit, and taking periodic breaks to keep his eyes from going blind.
Observing, and gathering information about the event taking place, he concluded that there was a holiday going on. It was due to this strange phenomenon that everyone was rather welcoming towards strangers, and there was a sense of peace all around. Nobody even questioned Akira's presence, or made any attempt to raise suspicion which he found quite uncomfortable. While he didn't question it entirely, he decided as long as he didn't make a big scene, the twili adviser decided this would be the best place to start looking for his elusive princess.

Though she didn't dwell on it long, and shifted into party mode rather quickly. Saying that she was enjoying the festival was an understatement. If she could enjoy wandering around freely without having people suspicious of her strange appearance than what wasn't to like about it?
It was merely much easier to get along with the rest of the world if they weren't giving you the eye on how you look rather than just take you for what you are. For the most part, she got away with the excuse that she was a kabuki actress on break to enjoy the festival. It was a rather good reason, and most people bought it~
The twili princess bought herself a stick of sweetly spun sugar or what those light dweller's called cotton candy. When she took her first bite, she savored the sweet flavor before it vanished, leaving only remnants behind of it's goodness. There was a small hop in her step as her carmine eyes peered from one vendor to another. It was actually quite fun to browse around on what kinds of things merchants had on sale. Not that she really was interested in getting something, but there was never a dull moment that passes on by.
Especially when her adorable twili adviser happen to cross her path. If it wasn't her darling little Akira~! As always he looked like an old man glaring at everything around him. Seriously, didn't he know when to lighten up? That expression on his face was going to be permanent if he didn't smile more. "Looking for someone?" she asked teasingly.

Go figure Midna would be the first to spot him before he could find her. When he turned to face his ruler, he was taken by surprise by the outfit she was wearing, and quirking a brow up all the same. Really now. Questions began to form, but he knew they were going to quickly be tossed over her shoulder should he care to utter a single mention as to what her intentions were in this massive congregation. It was quite clear she was having the time of her life, but that wasn't what bothered him. What bothered him was the fact that they were both outside in the midst of all these light-dwellers.
Pessimist or not, there had to be a fine line drawn before someone decides to question their origins, and all. This was Akira going into adviser mode. He was only looking out for the Sovereign's best interest, and this festival... wasn't exactly what he had in mind. "You're quite difficult to track, you know," he commented, "Your highness." Akira performed a small bow before his princess. A quick, and fluent motion to address his ruler, and giving her the proper respect without drawing a crowd before her. Sure, he got the odd stare or two by people passing by, but it was easily taken with half-hearten concern.
"Would you mind explaining why you ran off so quickly from home?" he began his interrogation, "... and please don't tell it was for this." When he said 'this', he meant the festival, giving her the stare of a parent scolding a child. She could have at least left a written note telling him that she was going to be away. Would have made his job so much easier, but he had a terrible habit of forgetting who he was dealing with. Since when did Midna ever make his job easy? It also didn't help the fact that she had pink fluff of cotton candy in her hands. The level of seriousness in the conversation was starting to slowly wane away.

You're either ahead of the game, or running behind trying to catch up. Personally, she liked the former than she did the latter. Then again who didn't like having that edge on people? Point at hand it pleased her so to meet her adorable little adviser at the festival. He could keep her company for the time being, and perhaps she could wipe off that 'you know what's coming' look off of his face. Honestly, how old was he? He was far too young to be playing parent - let alone an adviser, but hey, she couldn't help that one. Akira was her favorite right hand man~ A smile curled up upon her lips. "What do you think?" she asked playfully, "Does this kimono look good on me?"
She certainly loved the perks on having rank superiority over him. It meant that she could be as playful as she wanted, and take everything in strides when it came to messing with the silver haired twili. Carmine eyes looked back into his twilit blue something she noted she admired of him loving the strange color he held. With her free hand she played her index finger upon her lower lip, smiling impishly. "I didn't think anyone would come find me," she mused. That was a flat out lie. She knew with her departure it would cause all sorts of chaos back at home, but that was small stuff she didn't have time to worry about.
Then again being a festival in another realm totally contradicted her whole purpose of adventuring in this realm in the first place. Midna justified it with being that it only came around once a year, and this was a once in a lifetime chance, she would appreciate the holiday for what it was worth. It still didn't stop Akira from going off like an old man wanting an explanation of what her intentions were. "Relax Akira," she waved her hand in a dismissal gesture, "Come. Accompany me, and you'll have the answers you're looking for~"
With that she turned heel, and began walking. With the stick of cotton candy still in her hands, she took another bite before it melted within her mouth. Yummy~[/style] |

Can we say exploitation much? Very good. The princess was very good at using her authority to get what she wants out of her adviser. It was working quite well. Never before has he ever had so much trouble with dealing with royalty than when he was promoted to power. Akira began rubbing his temples trying to avoid a headache tempted to form. If he didn't know any better the twili male would assume Midna was messing around with him again. "It is a strange one, I will admit but yes, you look lovely, your highness," he answered politely. He was actually surprise he was still sane having to take care of this woman. Still, all complaints aside, there was one good thing out of this encounter. The Twilight Princess was safe, and out of harm's reach.
Akira gave her a blank stare as he listened to her comment. Was that a sign for him to be on his guard in case she might escape him? A frown formed on his lips. It was troublesome discovering she had disappeared from home, but to lose her again in this world would be just another hassle. There was never a clear way to tell with this woman. Her imp-like smile held a million secrets every time they formed across her dark lips. The silver haired adviser could never tell what exactly is going through her mind. "You'd be surprise, princess," he said sarcastically.
Crystal blue eyes flickered when she gestured for him to follow her. What other choice did he have? With a large sigh escaping from his mouth he prepared himself to start walking again. Accompanying his princess probably wasn't a bad idea for the most part. Akira could only hope she doesn't give him the slip sooner or later. "Easier said than done," he commented, "Could you tell me, at the very least, what this festival is all about?"
Might as well start somewhere, right?

He was just so cute being all responsible, and looking out for her well-being. A smile graced upon her dark lips. Her carmine eyes flickering behind her long lashes. She faked an expression of concern for her sweet little Akira as he began rubbing his temples. Yep~ He was having a hard time keeping up with her.
Good, it only mean the fun and games would continue from here on out! Midna allowed a giggle to escape her lips actually really happy to hear that he liked the kimono. That or he was trying to butter her up by being nice. "Why, aren't you just the sweetest," she cooed like an older sister smothering a younger sibling. What made it funnier is the fact that Akira was probably older than her by a year or two. This was just too much fun~
As the two traveled around the festival grounds, the blue skinned princess nibbled on her treat, and kept a lookout on anything else interesting. Feeling the sweet remnants of the sugar upon the tips of her teeth after sinking her fangs into them was a delight. The night was still young, and she wanted to enjoy every bit of the occasion while she could. She was well aware that once the fun, and the hype was all over that soon enough people would garner their suspicions. "Well~ Good to know then," she flashed a grin. It would seem that Akira was having a difficult time trying to put his thoughts together. It was tempting to feel sorry for the darling. Almost.
"You know what you're problem is," she turned back to her adviser, "You take your job waaaaaay too seriously. It's a festival~ Enjoy yourself a little. You need to learn to how a good time~" She skipped along a head of him. She was quite the chipper mischief maker, wasn't she? Twirling around, her robes fluttered like a breeze was blowing on by, and her carmine eyes looked back at her silver haired companion. "If you've got to know, it has something to do with honoring the gods who created the world, and all that jazz." Her answer was colored with a flat tone showing she wasn't that much interested in the purpose itself, but rather the partying that comes with it.[/style] |

Now he may be wrong but he could swear the princess was mocking him. Her sympathy ran as deep as a rain puddle, and that was pretty deep, if he said so himself. Such thoughts were kept to himself for the sake of not wanting to get hit or start a verbal war with her. It did sound quite tempting, mind you. If all else fails on his part, the least he could do was pick out information little by little. Midna wasn't the type of person who shared secrets easily, and should be persist, he may be able to get something out of her by the end of the night. This was just how it had to be, no matter if he was much displeased, but when did his say mean much in the first place? The quiet adviser exhaled a deep breath.
Akira raised a brow at the mere mention of his princess scolding him for, in her words, 'taking his job way too seriously'. If he remembered correctly, this was the very same woman who became the ruler of the Twilight, and not long after she was appointed the new sovereign, she disappeared without a trace. Not telling a soul where she disappeared to or even writing a letter letting someone, anyone know of her intents. Secrets don't make friends. There was just no getting around with how this woman works, and it puts the silver haired twili in a bind at times.
"I find it difficult to see how one can 'enjoy themselves' in a world far too... different to our own," he simply stated. His crystal blue eyes stared across everything that laid in their path. From stalls carrying weird items merchants from around attempt to sell from the exotic colors, and games played all around. He was far from comfortable, but that was the least of his problems.
It dawned on him on why she was lecturing him about relaxing. There was a reason behind mingling with the light-dwellers. This holiday was the perfect excuse to interact with the inhabitants of this realm, and see what it was like fraternizing with them. "Princess," he politely adressed her, "What are your intentions coming to this realm?"
