Ruma easily could have run away from Dagorn, especially with him carrying all that scrap. However, she was also trying to be careful since she wasn't used to hills this steep, or rather at all. The fortress had stairs and a sand dune wasn't exactly Death Mountain.
Before long the two of them had reached the Gerudo caravan, parked near the edge of Kakariko village. Rather than wearing traditional Gerudo attire, they were all disguised in cloth clothing and blonde wigs. It wasn't the best of disguises, but it served its purpose, which was to not tip the village off to a Gerudo caravan. The ladies all nodded as Ruma appeared, Dagorn not far behind with the scraps.
"If you'd please flatten out the scrap, separate it into two roughly equal size chunks and place it on the carts, that would be great." She nodded and began to address the women of the caravan.
"I think we got everything we needed. The Gorons have been a big help, and deserve our thanks." They nodded and thanked Dagorn as she began the preparations for the trip home.

Dagorn let out a gasp as he finally reached the bottom of the mountain. He was not used to having to run and even less used to running down hill with a pile of metal on his back. With a groan Dagorn put down the ball of metal. The familiar sound of twisting steel reared its head. Soon the ball became flattened out into two chunks. This was a ending up to be a lot of work. "Not to be disrespectful but we never did come to an agreement of how much you were paying for this."
In reality Dagorn did not care to much about the exact amount. The tribe gave him everything he needed so he never kept track of money and how much stuff was worth. He would have to take the strangers on their word. Even if they did rip him off any money would be good for him to begin his sojourn.

Ruma nodded. "Correct. We never did." She clapped twice, and summoned over two of the guards. "Pay the man, he's helped us more than you know." The two then pulled a larger pouch out of one of the wagons, considerably larger than the small one Ruma had. Opening the bag for Dagorn, it contained a considerable number of blue and red rupees, with a purple mixed in. Ruma casually placed her pouch inside and tied it up for easier carrying. All in all it totaled about 350 Rupees, give or take, and was easily more than the scrap was worth.
"I trust the amount contained inside will suffice. After all, you weren't exactly using the metal." And with that, Ruma had hopefully acquired all the metal she needed to begin her construction project. Things were looking up.

Dagorn took the money from the stranger. He did not bother to check to see how much was in it. He tied it to his belt so that he would have bolt hands free. The stranger was also right about the metal they received, It was not being used. " Thank you for your visit and your business." Content that his end of the bargain had been met Dagorn rolled up into a ball and headed back up the mountain.

Ruma nodded, contented. "Good to hear. Pleasure doing business with you Goron." As he rolled away, she clapped her hands together.
"Alright ladies, let's move out before the villagers realize who we are." Ruma and the others climbed into the caravan and before long they were off, heading back to the desert.

Dagorn counted the gems while walking up the mountain side. Some of them were different colors and he was not sure what that meant. Dagorn was sure that someone would eventually explain the color coding to him after all people don't lie to each other.
