It was a mark of either their social standing, or how full of themselves they where, that they had their own privet booth near the main stage for the festival. Typically Ryan wasn't one to show off his status, but he figured that he might as well see what all the hullabaloo was about before snubbing it entirely.
. . . and he had to admit, being the Leader of an entire race of men women and children did have its perks. He couldn't help but relax as he sat in one of the armchairs surrounding a large round table seated for fourteen people. While no one was here at the moment, the show was starting up, some singer by the name of Jesslyn. Unnecessarily fancy name aside, she did seem to have a good voice, so the others were likely to show up sooner or later.

(Outfit: Click Here) Ah the festival of the gods. A time to either party or worship, depending on your attitude. Or in Titania's case, both. She was impressed they had a tent solely for the leaders. It was nice because you knew that their would be only the best quality in everything that went into it. On the other hand, she knew everyone who would enter. She stopped by for a little relaxation, entering the tent she immediately went for a piece of cheese and dumped it into her mouth. In the tent seemed to be two people, a singer, and Ryan Green, Champion of the humans. Taking a seat along the side of the table opposite Ryan, she gave him a friendly nod and smile. "Good time to be a ruler huh? All the fancy benefits we get. A singer, fancy finger foods, our own seats. Though we won't be meeting any new faces I guess. But that's what the events are for aren't they." She kicked back and listened to the singer. Pretty nice voice she had for sure.

(For a look at Merik's festival-wear, click here) Merik had arrived at the festival earlier in the day more or less by accident, he had been too preoccupied with other matters in the last few weeks to notice that the time of the festival had come again. So as his travels took him from Lake Hylia south through the great fields he was more than a little shocked though it quickly passed once he realized where he had arrived. So after leaving his horse with an attendant in the Gerudo encampment, he quickly purchased a new set of clothes and set off for the festival proper. As he passed various areas he found the listings for the great tournament and quickly signed it without bothering to read any of the other entrants. Checking the start time for the tournament and finding he had a few hours, he decided to head for the leader's tent to relax for a while. When he arrived he found that the tent was mostly empty save for a singing woman, Ryan Green, and Titania. Nodding to the Champion and giving the Queen a quick wink he sat down at the table and just watched the singer.

Of course, what sort of festivities would there be if the King of Heroes didn't arrive? Such an event would be lacking without him, and that aside, he was bored. The world had been so....lackluster lately, he had to find his own amusement. He had one of his attendant register him for some tournament being hosted, as he found it to be a good way to kill time, and it seemed he had appeared at this event early. Thus, finding nothing else to do, the spirit drifted off to see what sort of arrangements these fools made for the political figureheads of Hyrule.
Honestly, he was disappoint. A meager tent, really? That would hardly protect against any kind of attempted assassination, as certainly anyone in their right mind would take advantage of the chaos of these events to execute such an act, and a mere tent was expected to keep them separate from the commoners? Whomever organized this deserved to be executed for incompetence, but truly, such things were not a concern to him in the long run. It was an insult, but not an actual worry. It was difficult to assassinate someone who was already dead, after all.
And so an entourage of poes drifted into the tent, finding the spot that was effectively a 'head of the table' like spot, and removing the chair from the room before Elohim walked in, for once not in his black casual attire. Rather, he was in a long toga, the ends of it resting at ankle length, the cloth stretching over his right shoulder. Around the waist, and covering the entirety of the lower torso, was an auburn colored wrap, matching the trim at the hem of the toga. From both ears hung golden, rectangular earrings, and around his neck was a golden necklace formed from diamond-shaped pieces. Around each of his wrists was a matching bracelet, and around his left bicep were three golden rings. His hair was flared and spiked upward this time, but his eyes looked at everyone the same as they did before.
"Such a pathetic tent, but it will have to do for now...." he commented aloud as he snapped his fingers, a much more lavishly decorated arm chair appearing in the now open spot at the table. It was much more padded for comfort, was more intricately carved, and well....it was Elohim's type of chair, so it was light colored wood with golden pieces inset throughout it's design. Holding out his hand, a wine glass formed, and one of the poes drifted up with a bottle of wine to pour him a drink.
"This shall do for now, but hopefully this little party shall improve," Elohim continued as he took a drink of his wine, not really caring about any looks the others present would probably giving him. They thought they were in power, but truthfully, they were all below him in his mind. When they died, after all, they would be at his mercy. It was just a matter of when. [/size]

Ryan smiled and nodded at Titania as she entered, dressed in a slinky outfit. He shouldn't have been surprised at her choice of outfit, it was in her nature to dress as revealing as possible. He supposed he should be thank that she had decided to wear something tasteful, rather than something that could reflect badly on her and her status as a leader. "The singer is supposed to be one of the best in all of Hyrule, apparently there was a lot of competition to be the lead vocal for tonights theater."
Then the Gerudo King showed up, and Ryan nodded in return to the man. While he hadn't had any personal dealings with him since the incident at the Lake, he didn't see any harm in being polite. "Feel free to order whatever you like, I overheard the caterer saying that they have food from all over Hyrule, even your native desert. We should be able to tied ourselves over until the main course of the meal."
And then there was the King of the Dead, Elohim. Showing up and showing off as usual. It amused Ryan to watch the King of Hero's antics when involving himself in social situations. Ego aside, the Poe simply had no use for the conventional social niceties that other people liked clinging to to remind themselves of how important they were. "I'm sure they'll be able to find something for your refined tastes, Elohim." He said with a smirk.
OOC YOu guys might want to reread the first paragraph of the thread, we're in our own VIP booth in a theater =p

Two more guests had arrived. One she was more than delighted to see, and the other...not so much. As Merik winked at her, she winked back. It had been far too long since their previous devious encounter. Though his garb was a bit out-there, and not as interesting as usual.
"She certainly is wonderful." She popped another piece of cheese in her mouth and sat back, enjoying the show. Elohim could complain all he wanted about this booth, she didn't care. Tuning out the others, she adjusted her dress and continued to watch the theater show.

"All the problems in this country and people are wasting time with contests to find out who is the best singer, really goes to show you the nation's priorities." Merik said with a faint sigh of disappointment.
He paid no attention to the Poe because he just found the dead man boring and he paid probably just a bit too much attention to Titania.
As with all good gifts the wrapping only gets in the way of the real treasure... he thought as he allowed his gaze to linger a few seconds longer before turning to Ryan's words.
"I'm hardly hungry. Shocking as it may seem it takes little to fill me and with some good luck of late I've had more than enough so I'm fine enough to wait for the meal to arrive."

Why was it when he had some sort of occasion to attend, turning out the guard always ran over the usual time. He'd had to, once again, attend to a complaint from the medicae that the Knights had been in 'some sort of altercation'. And the way they attributed it to a fall, and refused to look at him as they said it, told him all he needed to know. Another advance on Nairore. Once again dealt with swiftly. If not brutally. Sometimes he wondered if what he was doing was the correct thing. Keeping her amongst his people, rather than her blood sisters... He had quashed the thought then, as he did now, and did every time it crept in, insidiously, to plague his mind.
Guard turned out, given their patrol details, and reminded to not make advances upon the local populace, hostile, amorous or otherwise, having taken care to turn his stern gaze to the offending party, he had taken his leave to attend the function he was supposed to be at. Already several had entered. A Human, Ryan, a man he had a lot of respect for. A Fairy, Titania, someone he respected for her wisdom, if her restraint was... Somewhat lacking. Elohim, a man who grated him immensely, because of his superior attitude, but he had to acknowledge as a necessity.
And a Gerudo. The one race he detested without reservation. Represented in a man he hated utterly. And he walked in just as he began to insult the 'priorities' of his nation. Ignorance. Sheer ignorance. Tonight was a night of celebration. Something that Zenethil, being a pious man, encouraged thoroughly, because of the religious connotations surrounding it. He clenched his teeth, eyes narrowing, repressing the urge to draw blade and attempt to decapitate his most hated opponent.
Unsurprising that such a comment would be uttered by a man such as you, Merik. She sings not simply for our entertainment, but because her voice is a gift from the Goddesses.
His gaze never left Merik as he strode into the room. His expression was one of disdain, before he looked at the others, nodding brusquely, first to Titania, then to Ryan, then to Elohim.
Apologies for the lateness. The medicae delayed the turnout of the guard. They do like to remind me of trivial details when I'm in a hurry.
He moved over next to Ryan, between he and Titania, Elohim having made himself comfortable in his own seat. Zenethil however, preferred to stand. Especially with Merik in the room.

Ryan sighed as the drama unfolded this early in the evening, and made to cut it off as quick as he could. "So, Merik, how does the desert fair? I hear rumors that the dry season is especially bad this year." Keep the peace Ryan, All you have to do is keep the peace. Don't let the evening blow up in an explosion of drama and inter-political bickering.
"Titania, tell Zenethil that story you told me about the Lost Woods. i'm sure he would love to here it." Actually there had been no story, but he hoped to death and back that the Fey would pick up on the hint to distract Zenethil. He only hoped that Elohim would have the grace to not antagonize things further. Not that he really expected the Poe King to NOT involve himself in this. Heck, he would be surprised if he didn't try to throw in his two Rupees.
Gods above, tonight was going to end in bloodshed, wasn't it?
