(OOC: If you don't post for three days without a warning, you get a strike. If you get three strikes, you forfeit. If you get two strikes in a row, you forfeit.) As you enter the arena, you are immediately greeted by cheers of spectators. It's a small arena, square, with marble stone. Obviously not meant to match the grandiose nature of the coliseum, but it'll have to do. Around you are rows upon rows of seats, filled with spectators, watching your every move.
Your opponent stood in front of you. The magic barriers that would protect the audience from you two went up. The barrier was a unique thing. It was in fact, powered by the audience, strengthened by the mana each member had, little or small. Not to mention that the thing was blessed by Princess Zelda herself. There pretty much wasn't a force in the world that could shatter this thing, not without godlike power backing it up.
With that under the way, it was time to roll. The announcer brought the attention of the world to you and your opponent.
"And for our first round, we have... Nikiya Koshkal the Oathslayer versus... Elohim, the King of Heroes!"
Another voice chimed, apparently there were two people, so this fight apparently had some form of commentary. Yay.
"Oathslayer, please do us a favor and put that arrogant douchebag in his place."
"Woah, watch what you say, this is a family event!"
"I wouldn't say it if it weren't so true though."
This was immediately followed by the audience booing Elohim. [/blockquote][/size] BATTLE TIME, GOOOOOOO!
OATHSLAYER NIKIYA KOSHKAL VS KING OF HEROES ELOHIM[/size][/right]

The silver-haired female commented with a touch of sarcasm over the boos, staring at her opponent without gazing about the area. Rather than go to the festival as her "usual self," Koshkal, the white wolfos decided to attend the festival--the tournament--as a Nikiya. It wasn't a confusing concept to grasp, but she wasn't going to delve into it now.
King of Heroes, huh? Crimson eyes settled upon the golden man before her, and suddenly, she didn't feel like attacking. Well, at least not attacking first. Imagine if the two just stood here and had a drink or something. Why not? She was a rebellious teenager, and who knew what this guy wanted.
Whatever. She was digressing. If she defeated this guy, would that mean everyone would be cheering for her? An interesting prospect, and surely, any power-hungry fool would take the bait and go for it. But Nikiya Koshkal wasn't one for being a "hero."
"What say you, rust-bucket?" The nickname simply formed itself in her mind, no true offense intended. "Should I start, or shall you? Or perhaps we can just dance the competition away."

Really, Elohim had expected no less of the people who began to boo him upon his entry into the arena. People didn't grasp his importance to the sanctity of their afterlives, and he could very easily bring them to that point himself if he wished. But obviously, people who could not grasp this would hate to see the man who governed their life after death, since some would take it as a sign that their end was near. Again, he could very well make that fact if they continued to annoy him, but Elohim kept himself calm. He had something to do, and the quicker he got it done, the sooner he could leave this pest-infested hole.
It seemed that his opponent in this little 'tournament' was, quite literally, a dog. This was too fitting; a dog fighting in a dog's arena. Though he was calm, his red eyes still more or less glared at the woman across from him with his standard judgmental stare. Such pleasantries, from someone so far below him, were just unpleasant to deal with, and the name didn't help her either. And so, with that in mind, he slipped his hands into the pockets of his black slacks and weapons began manifesting in the air around him, one by one. They were weapons of all types, ranging between swords, halberds, spears, axes; one of them even happened to be a chain, though Elohim knew this one better as Uruk.
"Ha! Such a gesture from one such as you to me, it is almost a poorly written comedy. But how about I make you a deal, dog; you kneel and grovel for my forgiveness with your nose to the dirt like it should be, and I will consider overlooking this blight. Perhaps you will even be able to maintain your existence in the afterlife if I'm feeling gracious enough," Elohim responded in his standard tone, a mix of arrogance and annoyance. If this mongrel decided to attack, as he figured she would, he had already devised the plan to deal with her quickly. [/size]

The female flicked an ear subconsciously, having yet to really move from her starting position, a curious eye trained upon the golden-haired man and the sea of weapons forming behind him. How troublesome. This may prove to be an arduous and difficult battle indeed. But she wasn't so craven as to give up so soon.
Despite the King's insults, Nikiya showed no signs of belligerence, but rather, seemed to match the man with an egoistic act of her own, her own fiery eyes meeting his. "Only cowards hide behind insult." She scoffed, hands hovering close at her sides, where her weapons lay. "I have to question why one such as yourself even bothered messing with us dogs. Having a bit of fun toying with the living, are you?"
She was a monster, and though she kept it hidden rather well, that did not mean she was treated with distaste. If her opponent was trying to fire her up, it was to no avail. A dog and a king. A coincidence? She wondered, but didn't dwell. If one had to accuse her of stalling, perhaps she was, trying to see a way out of the obvious disadvantage she had at the multitude of weapons staring her down from afar.

"I am not hiding behind anything, woman. This is simply common sense, which has to be pointed out to your kind," Elohim easily replied before Nikiya continued speaking. He remained in his position, though his right hand slipped out from his pocket and rested at his side. This mutt seemed to wish to speak, which Elohim felt he could comply with for the moment. After all, the fight would be so short lived, he oughta get a few more amusing words out of this dog before they were put down.
"A king requires jesters and all of the world is my kingdom, so naturally all within are my subjects. Some jesters get dull quickly though, so I suggest you keep me entertained a bit longer, clown, or I'll kill you for incompetence," he continued in response to her second question, raising his right hand above his shoulder but it was a slow, casual movement. He held no fear of harm in this fight, as he was certain he could deal with this one quickly. He just wanted to prove the point to the woman that he was getting bored quickly, his expression visibly shifting to express this as well.
"Well, mongrel? Will you amuse your king a little longer, or be erased from this world now?" [/size] [Bleh...kinda crap]

She was hoping that if she kept talking, he would get bored and just walk away, but apparently not; he would just kill her. Not to mention the audience would probably get impatient if they didn't see any action. You're asking a bit much of me, she mused to the crowd, flexing her fingers. As they spoke, she tried to look for a weak point in the opponent's arsenal.
She sighed, already feeling cornered. So much for being rich for day.
This was what trial and error was for, she supposed.
With caution, the Oathslayer crouched slightly, a hand slipping within her pocket, not obviously, but likely not subtly either. "I take it you'll have no complaints if I use the ways of a mongrel, then. Erased or no, I'll not make this easy."
As she finished, her feet sprang from the ground, as if to move in a sprint towards the King, but she moved nowhere in her feint, and instead flung her arm out, throwing whatever she had grasped in her hands towards the golden male with haste. The object was not a weapon at all, but rather, a small, silver key. Still at the beginning of this match, Nikiya was only experimenting, sizing up her opponent further than she already had, hoping the projected speed would conceal its form.
Note to self, get it back after the match.

The events marking the starting the fight would take place in mere moments. The instant the feint was executed and the arm was flung, Elohim was enveloped in a flash of golden light. This was far from a sign of admitting he felt threatened. Rather, this was a sign that he didn't even consider the hit worth dodging, and so decided to just stay right where he was. The light faded and his figure was now covered in golden armor, the plates giving off a glow in the light, his hair now spiked rather than laying down flat. He retained a bored look on his face as the projectile connected with the armor plated torso, letting out a short, but audible 'clang'. The form of the object thrown at him became easily visible, the silver key falling to the ground before Elohim raised his gaze back to face the woman.
"Is that all you can manage? Worthless, truly worthless," Elohim commented as he raised his right hand, his left now resting on his hip rather than in a pocket due to the armor. As his arm was lazily raised to the air, two weapons flew towards the woman, one headed right towards her and one to her left. They flew at an extremely high speed, leaving very little time for a reaction, and Elohim intended to exploit a person's natural instincts for this tactic. Given where the two weapons were headed, the brain would automatically dictate going to the right to avoid them both rather than risk a hit.
That was where the next part of this came in. With an intentional delay from the first two, a third weapon was fired. The delay was just enough for her to avoid the first two, and the third weapon in question was Uruk. Uruk was fired with the intent of either striking her or the ground near her, with the tail end flinging itself to wrap around her. The idea was to bind her, and then deal with her at his leisure. He would get all the amusement out of her that he could, and if she proved amusing enough in despair, he would consider letting her live with the defeat instead of adding the humiliation of death. [atrb=valign,top][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,5px,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,410,true][atrb=style, width: 300px;] Well, look at that. She had further condemned herself to hell. "Fuck yes." She muttered to herself lowly, saying nothing more to her opponent as the key dropped to the ground without having done much at all. No matter, she had never intended anything serious out of it, and at least she discovered trying to rush right for him would have just gotten an early death sentence. I wish I knew how to make bombs.
The latter moved, a simple gesture, but had the wolfos on edge, poised and ready as two of the armaments began to fly at her. Left or right. Meaning he was either trying to trap her in place, or get her to move at his whim. Nikiya easily knew herself to be a rebel, and possibly a devil. Rather than stand aside, both of her hands flung to her sides and drew Viscer and Ramus, using the same flicking motion to parry the oncoming projectiles.
The impact of trying to knock the weapons aside nearly caused a stiff grimace, the incredible velocities resulting in a trembling grip. Only thinking she had reacted just in time, her ears stood with a jolt as she caught the third, a long chain of sorts, from her peripherals. I see how it is, She growled mentally.
Seeing she had not moved from the previous attack, the aiming of the chains was a bit off, but Nikiya was well aware running was not an option, for it was likely too late. Thus, the Ainur resorted to the only thing she could think to do in such short time. Thrusting the blade in her left hand into the ground, leaving it standing from the ground. If you asked her, she could have been ambidextrous, since she did typically double wield, but that didn't change the fact that her right hand was more dominant, her left hand being of little use to her at the moment, still recovering from the shock from the parry.
With that done, she gave the ol' shove off the ground and vaulted herself on the makeshift stake in the ground, at about the same time the chain hit the ground. Maybe she was not in her right mind, but she suddenly felt the impulse to just damn it all and go for it. Placing her foot on the hilt of the blade digging stiffly into the ground, she leapt forward while suspended in air from her previous action, aiming to dash at her foe while at the same time trying to project herself high in order to avoid the backlash of the chain.
However, she saw too late that the chain was longer than expected, and as she was airborne, the Wolfos felt the harsh metal of the ends of the weapon striking her right ankle, the momentum also wrapping around her leg once. Shit. She cursed, the grip on her ankle making her stop in her onrush and instead making her fall back down to the ground on her feet, in a wary crouch as her free fingers curled themselves around the chain that now dragged behind her.

Elohim watched as things played out. The dog was apparently able to deflect the first two attacks, which was something of an annoyance, but it did not throw off the plan too much. She tried to leap towards him, but Uruk Hai's tail end still struck, wrapping around the woman's leg and dragging her to the ground as the other end stuck in the ground. It was a fitting picture; a mongrel on a leash, unable to move except without the permission of her superior. It was almost a kind of karmic justice, except in his eyes, the whole world besides him deserved such a thing for being a waste of flesh.
"A mongrel on a leash, how appropriate for one such as you, with your nose to the dirt. Perhaps now you shall beg for my forgiveness, since it is impossible for one such as you to free yourself from the inevitable," he remarked with confidence and arrogance, his hand held above his head, ready to give the signal for the remaining weapons to fire. Of course, this was entirely unnecessary and superfluous, but he felt like it. It evened things out a little bit for them, as it at least gave them some sort of hint as to when he would end their lives.
"If you beg enough, I'll make it quick, or perhaps you will simply be able to live with your puny worthless pride destroyed. Your end all relies on how compliant you are," he continued on, deciding to delay her defeat a bit to see if she would finally learn her place. If she did, she might be able to leave without dying; if not, then her blood would stain the floors of this arena. Elohim had a small form of a smirk on his face, knowing the fate of this woman rested in his own generosity. Oh, he so enjoyed when mortals learned who was superior. It made it seem like the world wasn't a completely meaningless existence. [/size]

Though it was only barely wrapped around her ankle, it would seem that that was enough to stick to her, no matter how deep she dug her fingers beneath it. Something was keeping it there.
Remaining at a crouch on the soles of her feet, her free hand slowly slid behind her looking as though she was trying to maintain her balance. The hand that wielded her other blade let the weapon rest upright, piercing through a thin layer of dirt as her crimson gaze burned at the golden man, whom began to speak once more.
He spoke as if this was the end. Hah! Keep deluding yourself, lionhead. She may have now been restrained so slightly, but that meant nothing. If not constantly, Nikiya had more often than not been charging through life with restraint. One more would feel like absolutely nothing.
"Don't you know?" She challenged defiantly, a similar smirk on her face to oppose the one she saw. "One isn't supposed to simply put their dog on a leash," At this point, she had no way of attacking. She could still move, definitely, but it was not enough to run directly at her foe and get some form of attack in.
"They're supposed to fetter body and soul to the very depths of hell and shatter its spirit entirely."

Elohim's arms moved to fold across his chest as the woman crouched on her feet, an eyebrow raised at her in moderate curiosity. He was curious what she hoped to achieve by doing that, but then she began to speak, which drew his attention. For a brief moment, the smirk on his face faded, but then it seemed to grow into a bit of a malicious smile. It wasn't the slasher-type of smile in any sense, but a smile coming from Elohim never looked exactly comforting. It carried the same kind of haughtiness he always had, and most likely meant ill intent towards whoever he bore it to.
However, that smile was followed by laughter. It was more than a simple chuckle; this was full bellied laughter, coming from the King of Heroes of all people. For once, his eyes shut, and a small amount of joy mixed into his expression as he laughed. He actually found her comment both truthful and extremely entertaining to hear. He eventually calmed down, after probably half a minute of pure laughter, before he looked back at the woman and the grin remained on his face.
"I like you, woman. You've proven to be a worthwhile jester, and seem to know your place better than many. As a reward for your life having meaning, I will make your end fulfilling, and upon your death I shall accept you as a personal attendant. Such is an honor far greater than most get, mongrel!" with the last word of his little speech, Elohim enacted his power to keep the woman in place. His ego, merged with the abilities of a poe, would stun this woman and keep her from avoiding the inevitable. He would then raise his hand again, and a single weapon fired, aimed for her left leg. This was followed by another, aimed for the right leg, and then two followed in sequence, one for each limb. That left 9 weapons remaining in his stock.
With a snap of his fingers, the remaining 9 all fired in a concentrated blast, fixed on the woman with the intent to fully destroy her body. Of course, during this whole thing, Elohim didn't move an inch. [/size]

[atrb=valign,top][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,5px,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,410,true][atrb=style, width: 300px;] Apparently, what she had said was hysterical to the King. Well, at least she was on his "good side" now. But then again, that didn't even seem to be much better than being on his bad side, considering the spectacularly ominous grin on his face once he finished with his upheaval of air. An awkwardly long moment, if you asked her.
Regardless, Nikiya ignored a good majority of his words, only half-listening as she eyed the armory behind Elohim. If she didn't figure out something to do in the time he was dallying about nothing, she was done for. Even an idiot could probably guess what was going to happen next.
Even as she thought, the man's last words seemed to forcibly catch her attention, even though she had heard the word (and variations of) enough times already. He spoke the word crisp and clearly, and the Ainur froze with a jolt, suddenly finding her feet without sensation, not listening to her, as if compelled to stay where they were no matter how strongly she willed against it.
A slur of curses ran through her mind, as she gazed up from her feet, to see the man's arms in motion. Move, move, move! Shit! She screamed to herself, but not at her feet. Her left arm flung out, grabbing onto the first blade she had tried to vault over prior, and the first projectile met. The blade dug into her left leg, as she winced and choked on air in a gasp, repressing any outbursts of pain as half of her perched stance crumbled.
In that moment, her grip on her blade tightened, and exerted her bottled up cry with pulling the sword out of the ground, using the twist of her waist and releasing it again at the right moment to fling her sword at the next weapon that came flying in her direction, where they met with a clash, impeding each other's way and falling to the ground in either direction.
Already, she could feel her warm blood pooling beneath her feet. Immediately, her right hand instantly gripping onto the hilt of the weapon buried in her leg. It was deep, and, well, went all the way through her leg. An adrenaline rush kicking in, she couldn't tell how much internal damage was done, but she needed to get it out now.
Without hesitation, the Wolfos yanked. If anyone really watched, they might have described it to be vicious, as she growled furiously to vent it off. At that same time, the barrage continued, and as she pulled the weapon out, her position had the blade obscuring the path to her left arm, and so the next projectile struck the bloodied weapon, flying astray, along with the other, but not without leaving a gash in her shoulder.
She was to react, if not for the final of the four projectiles that then attacked her right forearm, sinking its way into flesh again, and this time, she emitted a hiss. Both of her previous injuries were already healing, as she could feel it, but if she didn't stop now, she would die of bloodloss.
Nikiya nearly keeled over, hands on the ground, surrounded by crimson dirt. Save for her feet, she managed to shift position, moving her left hand and most intact limb behind her again, to steady herself. Heart pounding, she stared down the face of the remaining wall. The chains rattled behind her lightly.
Quite a sitting duck, aren't we?
Absolute silence.
She took a deep, shaky breath, waiting...
Snap.
"UUUUUUHHRUUYYAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!"
The moment Elohim fired, Nikiya gathered all the strength she could muster into her battle cry and her actions, all the determination, anger, and pain--one could have said she had gone mad once they saw the fierce look upon her face--as she threw her left arm around and in front of her in a sideways motion, as if clubbing someone in the side of the head. There, in her grasp, was the steel chain, Uruk--nay, it was not Uruk itself, but a replication of the ten foot chain, which was now following the motion of her arm, acting like a whip as it lashed out towards the bundle of weapons that had also been directed at her.
Her intentions were clear: she was either aiming to knock the array of weapons off of their path and clear away from her, or at least cause them to scatter away and cause less damage that she could deal with. Even if that did not work, the Wolfos would proceed to yank the chain back away in the opposite direction again, if not as some form of precaution, then simply out of more frustration.

Elohim's natural style of attack was to fire weapons in a rapid fire sequence, some closer to each other than others. The chain wrapped around the first weapon of the attack, and when she pulled on the chain, it pulled the weapon with it. It's sudden shift threw it in the path of the second and third sword, which were also thrown off course as well. Their deflection would throw them in the path of the fourth through sixth weapons, knocking all three of them to the side of Nikiya, leaving seven through nine to fly through the chaos. However, these three were lower torso/leg oriented shots, making them less fatal to her but still painful if they hit.
Elohim held mixed emotions about this. The dog's tenacity was commendable, but he did not appreciate having his weapon copied. Uruk Hai and Etnapishtim were the two weapons that were genuinely his weapons, and while he certainly found all the weapons useful and in his possession, those two held a bit of sentimental value. Having not only one of his weapons copied, but Uruk in particular, he didn't appreciate it. That aside though, the dog also managed to probably survive the barrage, which kills most, being some kind of tribute to her ability.
"Your survival is a surprise, faker. Perhaps I have been too kind up to this point; it seems I will need to properly break in this dog," he spoke as sixteen new weapons appeared in the air as before, the previous ones remaining littered on the ground as both a reminder of what happened and to provide more obstacles. The deflected path of many of the weapons threw them to the sides of her, making it more difficult to move with the chain still firmly binding her in place.
"But feel a sliver of pride in that you've survived longer than many who stood against me in the past." [/size] [Poe Scream Ended, 5 rounds remaining on cooldown]

Certainly, she had managed to save herself by a miracle, but that didn't mean she was left unscathed, the remaining blades hitting their target, as she was too ragged to even dodge. Long story short, there were now four blades running through her: her forearm, her left thigh, and well, two in her gut. Perfect. I must be the best damn sword rack in the world.
As it would seem, her replication had been lost or destroyed amidst the chaos, especially since she had let it fly after swinging it, but she didn't think it would matter anymore. Her breathing sharpened as she was grateful for even the slightest pause in action, keeling over on her sweating palms, pain accompanying every gasp. "Uuuu—" She whispered a small grunt, closing her eyes in a brief flinch. She didn't think she could risk moving until she managed to heal herself, but she was probably going to have to.
Unless there was another way to worm out of this.
Without sitting back up, the wolfos gazed back up, to see exactly what she expected, and hung her head again. She wasn't giving up. No, there was still a great deal amount of determination in her. If anything, she would be happy to at least get him to move from his starting point even a single millimeter. Surviving this long wasn't enough. She was aware that she had very little chances to begin with.
"H—Hold it—Lion—bucket. A prop—proposi—pr—screw it." Nikiya took in a sharp breath, gritting her teeth before raising her head with an arduous effort to stare the King down. She searched her mind almost frenetically as she spoke, reverting back to her earlier methods. "You say you'd—accept me—as a personal—attendant." If she suggested this, would the audience go as crazy with rage as she was going with bloodloss? "So—why not let me—teach these dogs—on your behalf?" Goddammit lungs, breathe. She was very tempted at this point to try and strike a casual conversation. "Hello, how is your day so far? Mine is fantastic, blood everywhere, can't breathe. An afternoon fit for the goddesses."
"After all—they say—it takes a true dog to tame another."
It wouldn't be an understatement to say she mentally slapped herself, for whatever reason.

Elohim casually watched the, more or less, last moments with a mix of slight boredom, but mostly amusement. This woman had proved entertaining enough, surviving this long and aside from being aware of her inferiority, even made a few amusing comments. Not all hope was lost for this world, just most of it. Her continued survival could probably be attributed to her regeneration abilities, which even Elohim could see from her shoulder wound having begun to seal up. But, that wouldn't matter much in a moment. She would die to the next attack and he would be done.
But once again, the woman would prove entertaining. It was something of a cleverly disguised attempt to get him to forfeit the match to her, but he did have to give her credit for trying. If nothing else, she knew how to word herself for the most advantageous position with him, and perhaps upon her death she really would make a good attendant. Sadly, he knew in this arena she wouldn't die for good. No, they had people on stand-by to heal any who would normally perish in this arena. However, he would remember this woman, if for nothing else proving to be a good jester.
"Such an offer betrays you, faker, but it was at least a fair attempt. There are some mongrels present, however, that need to learn their place. So I shall be ending this and being on my way," he answered, and with a snap of his fingers, the second barrage fired. This one was more spread out though, heading not only for Nikiya herself, but the area around her as well. The ones that were headed towards her though, if they connected, would certainly be more than enough to finish her. He didn't intend to allow her an escape this time, so the spread would extremely limit her movement options. [/size] [Fired all 16 weapons in a spread on and around Nikiya. 4 rounds remaining on Poe Scream cooldown.]
