[Rey]

Ah, the Festival of the Gods has returned yet again this year. It brought back fond memories for the dark haired male of his childhood years. Every year if he worked diligently on his training they would set aside his training to participate in the hype of the holiday. His wide sheikah eyes would brighten up at all of the lights, vendors, and little games where you could win prizes while watching the challenges unfold, where adults congregate to watch as challengers take on main events of the Holiday. He thought about joining in on the fun as well, but hesitated when confronted with sign ups. There was no need to burden himself with competition he had no desire to be apart of.

A smile formed upon his face watching as children dressed up in little kimonos, and adorning masks raced off. Some of them even carried with them festival food like candy apples or cotton candy. Rey felt bad for a moment realizing just how old he's gotten. He wasn't a little kid anymore, but that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the festival like anyone else can. There was plenty of things to take a look at, from the people dressed up in festival clothes to places with unique items out for sale, music, and dancing, and let's not forget the food, and treats served as well.

There was so much to do that it nearly overwhelmed him that this was the first time he's been to the festival on his own. What could he do to start things off? Rey supposed that the best way to start off was to wander around until he discovered something to spend his time on. That was part of the adventure as well, right? Exploring until you've found what you were looking for. Certainly there was something for someone like him to do as well? This was his chance to find out.

Thus starts his stroll into the hustle, and bustle of the Festival of the Gods.

Oh, everything was so beautiful and exciting~! Ani had never been to a festival like this, and she marveled at the fact that one was held every year in Hyrule. Of course, her small village held a small gathering to celebrate the three Goddesses, but nothing like this. So many people were walking, dancing, or entertaining themselves with food and games. Ani was currently falling in love with the cotton candy confection she had bought, the spun sugar melting deliciously into her mouth. Oh, she could see herself craving this treat for the rest of her life, and Ani wanted to have it last for quite awhile longer. There was just so much to do, but the young woman had little idea of where to start! She had decided to come without her twin, and she was regretting that impulsive decision. At least she would have company, and no doubt that Aya would find this entire festival just as fun as she did. Perhaps it was the fact that she had decided to dress up? Just like many of the other guests, Ani had opted for a kimono. Well, not quite a kimono, but something along the same style~!

Red hakama pants hung loosely about her legs, while she wore a white haori, tied together with a rather fancy obi. The belt was patterned with red and white cherry blossoms. An ensemble worn by shrine maidens of older times, and Ani enjoyed how comfortable and fluid the clothing was~! Giggling to herself, she took another mouthful of the cotton candy, carmine eyes glazing over at the still delicious flavor. The dull hum of conversations was tuned out by the young fairy, and she meandered about the various booths. Games of chance were rather tricky to figure out, and she observed that many of the stand owners had rigged the games in some way. Honestly, Ani held a keen eye, and she tricked and pilfered from unsuspecting individuals on a daily basis. It was how she had obtained the money to buy this sweet~! Licking her lips for any trace of remaining sugar, her eyes scanned over the laughing children and content adults.

No one she knew, and--oh, wait! Ani stopped herself, freezing in place at the sight of a very familiar face. It was that cute male she had tricked in the Sacred Grove! Aya and herself had pilfered his sword, but had given it back in the end. She had even kissed him in farewell, and it had been a rather impulsive action on her part. Ani was hardly ever hesitant in the presence of a male, but she felt a little unnerved at seeing him here. Well, everyone was invited to this! Ani mentally smacked herself, proceeding to bounce from foot to foot in her nervousness. Okay, what should she do? If she stood here long enough, there was little doubt that he would see her! Oh, she was being so silly. Biting her bottom lip, Ani decided to stay where she was, because she desired to see his reaction to her unexpected presence. The mere idea nearly had her giggling in excitement.

With one foot in front of the other, his deep red eyes observed everything around him, and not once did his smile diminish. The sound of the festival music played softly, and rang sweetly within his elf-like ears. The inner child in him was jumping with joy to be back at the festival again. Now that he was much older he wasn't quite sure what would be suitable for a young adult to be doing right about now. Oh wait...

Just as soon as he thought about he, Rey noticed a couple dressed in yukatas walking together sharing laughter together, smiles of the most sincerest affection towards one another. Right. Typically, it would be customary to bring a date to the festival to share the night with. He couldn't help but smile at his luck. He was not ashamed of being single, but it did suck at times when you were on your own. The thought of spending the evening with something was a pleasant one, but probably the last thing that ever come around.

Rey was taken out of his thoughts the second the couple passed him, and he managed to spot a familiar face. It was the girl who deceived, and robbed him! What was she doing here? Ok, there was no need to freak out over anything, she gave back his weapon in the end, but it was still a bit surprising to find her here. Not to mention all dressed up for the event as well. Though there was something about her that made him broke out into a chuckle. Might as well get a little payback from what she did before.

He approached the snow haired 'miko' before stopping right in front of her. His crimson optics looked at her with a soft expression before raising his hand, and gently grazed the tip of his finger over her nose. The light that danced within his eyes was a playful glow as he swept from her nose the remains of cotton candy she missed when checking herself prior to encountering him. A gesture of peace that he wasn't angry at her prank. "You missed some," he teased before eating the cotton candy off of his finger.

Ani could see that he had spotted her as well, and she found herself strangely frozen in place. How odd it was for her to react this way, since she had always been so forward and outgoing before. She was starting to act like her twin when around a cute male! Well, it was not like she had a choice, since he was now making his way over toward her. Carmine eyes peered up at him, a curious expression settling upon her features as he stepped before her. What were his intentions? Was he still angry over her prank? Ani did not think he was angry, and he did not appear frustrated in his walk or face. Her demeanor began to brighten, and she gazed up at him with a mischievous smile in place. Her day had just gotten so much more interesting now~! Ani held herself back from saying anything, quite curious to how he would act toward her now.

Her head tilted to the side, watching as he lifted his hand toward her face. There was a light and softness in his eyes and face that let her know he was no longer angry. Well, that was certainly a relief, but what was he doing? His fingers brushed against the side of her nose, catching a stray piece of the sweet treat she was eating. Carmine eyes widened at his teasing remark, and she watched as he swept the stray piece into his own mouth. Her pales cheeks were dusted with a light pink, and she was caught quite off guard with his teasing. Once her mind caught up, her lips quirked into a smirk. Oh, was that how he wanted to play~? Ani giggled lightly, before quickly catching his hand and pulling him down to her own height. Honestly, the young girl had little concept for personal space, and she loved to tease back whenever she could. "You should make sure to get every piece," she replied, her lips barely a breath from his.

The sweetness from the spun sugar was still thick upon her lips, and she barely brushed hers across his own before shoving the pink, cotton cloud into his face. A smug smile crossed her lips, and she held herself back from laughing too much. Leaning forward to take a small bite of her treat, she still held the stick up before him. Yeah, Ani was enjoying this far too much for her own good. He would soon learn that she could tease back just as well, since she did so on a daily basis. Of course, she was being more forward with him than any other boy she had met.

Rey would admit he did learn a valuable lesson or two when he first encountered the snow haired maiden earlier in the Faron Province. It made him reevaluate the worth of his training in the past, and that what it all came to worth. He needed to stay sharper next time, and pay careful attention to all the details handed down to him in a situation. Yeah, he was a bit sore both physically from the redhead's foot planting to the back of his skull, but the sore spot was his ego. Being taken down not only by a fairy, but a fairy pulling a rather childish prank just to give a wild goose chase in the middle of his mission. Now that was a bit huimiliating...

Still, he had to let those stuff go otherwise he would really look like a sore loser. They didn't mean any harm out of it so no foul involved. Moving onto a new subject, he was quite amused with her initial reaction adoring the blush that tinted her cheeks when he teased her. However it would seem that she was the type of person who didn't like people getting even. She liked being a head of the game. Once again he taken off guard by having himself taken down to her height. Rey was pulled up so close that the space between them was enough to make him burn up a bit. So close... it was almost as if they were leaning in for the very first kiss.

That is until she shoved the cotton cloud into his face, and his instant reaction was to pull back a step. His stomach was filled with butterflies in that second realizing just how silly he must have looked. Not to mention he's never been so free, and open with himself with just one woman. Now he wasn't a playboy who ran about chasing skirts - in fact, he had very little experience in the dating department. Still, it didn't change things as they stood in front of him that he was pleased to know she was enjoyable company to have. He couldn't help but wonder if she'd be interested in accompanying him for the night.

Was she offering some cotton candy to him? He smiled before taking a piece, just enough in between his index finger, and his thumb. He popped the pink spun sugar into his mouth before the treat melted away in his mouth. Rey could feel his inner child coming out once again. That level of comfort was quite astonishing for the Sheikah. "Not up to any trouble now, are you?" he asked in a flirtatious tone, "I don't suppose I have to put you under surveillance?"

With all joking aside...

"You on your own tonight?" he asked honestly this time.

His bewildered expression was the most adorable thing she had ever witnessed, and Ani could not help but burst into a fit of giggles. He really had little experience with women, did he not? She could see he was as harmless as a newborn kitten when it came to teasing, and it amused her to know end that she could fluster this male so easily. Well, she could fluster many men rather easily with her forward ways, but she actually enjoyed doing so with him. It was rather sweet to see the blush on his own cheeks, and she could just imagine his mind whirring at the sudden distance she had closed between them. Personal space was not something she thought too much about, because she was used to getting her way in most things. It appeared her wily ways were working to her adventure, and she smiled brightly to herself at her victory. She did wonder what he was planning in retaliation, or if he would ever regain his composure from her sudden nearness.

Her head tilted to the side, carmine eyes watching him as he took a small piece of cotton candy from her. He plopped the treat into his mouth, and she had the strangest urge to kiss him to taste the sweet flavor. Honestly, Ani would have been more than happy to do so, but perhaps that was a little too much, too soon? It appeared he was becoming more comfortable within her presence, and Ani found that rather nice. What would his next action be, then~? Would he try and get back at her for her teasing? An ivory brow quirked at his flirtatious question, and her carmine eyes sparkled with mischief. "Hmm, you should know I'm always up to trouble. You'll have your hands full trying to watch me," she replied, leaning closer to him with a none-too-timid smile.

His question caught her a little off guard, and so Ani regarded him with a curious expression. Was he asking her out on a date? Oh, how scandalous~! A wicked smile curled upon her lips, and she wondered if he knew what he was about to become entangled in. It was a rather sweet gesture, and the thought of spending her evening with him did have her stomach flipping in a pleasant sensation. "Well, I was until you came along. Are you asking me to be your date?" she asked, a coy smile in place. An amused giggle escaped her lips, but her smile softened. No need to continue teasing him, right? "I would love to accompany you, if that's what you're asking," she answered.

Her laugh was cute. There was something in the way she smiled that kept him locked in place. Like the past they had with each other could be put aside for the evening. With all playing around put off for a moment Rey realized just how sweet she was. If he didn't know any better the sheikah male would consider her a very cute, and innocent young lady. However her personality completely contradicts that sweet exterior she portrays ever so perfectly. He wouldn't be fooled by her charm, but that didn't mean he couldn't get to know her better. She seemed fun to hang around with and when she wasn't up to any mischief she was very nice.

Rey didn't mind a playful tease here and there, but he was very harmless. He wouldn't ever think of doing anything that would outright insult or hurt the girl. His expression soften at her response. Yeah... he expected something of that reaction from her. Though it would appear that personal space didn't exist in her dictionary. A wave of nervousness crept over his shoulder worried he might end up making a fool out of himself in front of Ani again. He's never had trouble with women before, and by any means he wasn't calling her trouble...

It was the fact that he's never been alone with a girl before.

In the dark corner of his mind the only advice he kept repeating in his head was just to act natural, and be himself. His red eyes brighten at the mention of a date. Was he asking her out on a date? Red returned back on his cheeks. He scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "It would make tonight even better," he offered his hand out to her. "Rey Alexiel. What's your name?"

Funny, he never got it before when they met in the forest.

Ani absolutely loved the fact that she was able to make him nervous so very easily. It was just so cute to see his cheeks flush such a dark shade of red, and it was certainly a nice stroke to her own pride at being able to have a grown male falling to her charms. No, Ani was certainly not the most beautiful or curvaceous woman to be walking around, but she certainly made up for it with her personality. It appeared he was still unused to her very up close mannerisms, and it had her stifling her amused giggles at his expense. The Sheikah really was quite sweet and inexperienced, was he not~? The young fairy wondered if she should give him some personal space, but where was the fun in that? It was good if he kept on his toes around her, because she had been speaking the truth. Ani was a handful to deal with, and only Aya had a good grip on her reigns when she went too far.

Ani smiled as he scratched the back of his head a little nervously. Such a sweet and endearing male, and she was enjoying his sudden company quite a lot. The fact that he was also no longer mad at her for her little prank with her twin was also quite nice~! Her smile widened, and she could not believe that he had asked her out on a date. Ani had never been on a date before! Her sister always scared away any boys that got too close to her, and she was so glad that Aya was nowhere near to attempt the same with him. Tilting her head, she glanced at his offered hand as he gave her his name. An impish smile crossed her lips, and she grasped her hand within her home. Leaning forward, Ani brushed her lips over his knuckles. It was a gesture a gentleman was meant to do with a lady, but she had always been a little unorthodox. Leaning back, she grinned brightly up at Rey.

"Delanie Crossfire, but call me Ani," she introduced with a giggle. Leaning back, she let her hand fall from his. No need to get him too flustered, or she could imagine his head just imploding from too much of her quirks. Keeping herself from laughing, Ani glanced about their surroundings. "What would you like to do first?" she asked lightly. There were plenty of games and such to busy themselves with, but even she could tell most of them were rigged in some way. Besides, Ani believed she would prefer just walking around and talking with him. First dates were spent getting to know your date for the evening, right~?

Rey had learned quite well with meeting Ani that it wasn't looks that mattered. Not at all. It was what counted on the inside that mattered most when you made your judgments. It wasn't difficult to keep his smile pressed on his lips while being around her. Even if he was inexperienced with this whole dating deal he couldn't let that be a drawback from at least spending the evening out in the festival with her. For the most part he treated it like they were just kids once again playing out in a playground. It didn't matter if he was a boy, and she was a girl. All that mattered was just having fun, and what made it even better was the fact that they didn't have to spend it alone.

When she gave him that eager smile Rey was caught off guard unsure of what to make of it. For a flirty girl, she got rather excitable for this date, but it left him to ponder if she's ever been on a date before? He found it hard to believe - but he was just assuming that any guy would like to have his chance to take a pretty girl like her out to something like this. One could always be surprised. He wouldn't doubt it Ani was surely a girl with many surprises up her sleeves.

Once again she never ceased to surprise him by taking his hand and pressing her lips against his knuckles. His deep red eyes widened realizing that was something a guy should do for a lady! Talk about role reversal right from the get go. A tint of red crept up his cheeks yet again of her notorious way. "Ani, it is then," he replied. He really liked it. It was cute, and simple.

When the question was brought up on what should they start off with Rey took a look around. He wasn't exactly sure what he wanted to do first really. Funny because there was plenty to do at a festival. "How about we take a look around first?" he asked, "If there's anything we spot of interest then we'll take a look, sound like a plan?"
