One any say whatever to her but she won't say a word back but she sure will gesture it. Kotone was the same old mute sister of Merik she just mostly an adviser to the king and his body guard. However lately he been getting away and slipping under her guard. Of course it does not take her long to know where or who he came in contact. Last report she got was very troubling for her as a new hate for the fairies was created do to the action of Merik and Queen of the bug people. However she does not let it show to much unless it in a work or in the many doodles of her bottling up a fairy or stabbing a fairy in her book.

However right now Kotone was out on the edge of the fortress sitting on the ledge. She was looking around as she stand guard. Unlike her other sisters she was more up bringing in solider type thing. She was well educated as well as skilled fighter. As she stood there she let out a yawn as she grow tried of watching the sands blow. Even thought she can hear the sounds of the land and it was music to her ears but to her eyes it was dull and blurry as the wind blows the sand around.

She would love to go out and do something else but her job was to guard. Last she heard Merik was here unless somehow he sneaked out again with out her knowing. She let out a sigh just thinking about that. She rubs her red hair and put her hand on her hip as she went on looking guarding the place. She was like any other women here wearing the balloon pants and veils around his faces. Yep a standard outfit for the females with oddly get males of other races to stare a lot. Either from who they are or what they wear... it was always so hard to tell.

Down below, from further within the canyon, a hooded figure in a brown cloak was slowly making its way towards the Gerudo Fortress. Though it appeared the person was trying to get in the fact that it had avoided the guard patrols around the outskirts was probably a good sign of a serious security breach...or it was just a complete miracle.

Soon the figure walked up to the canyon wall and pressed a hidden switch, revealing a hidden door in the wall that it disappeared through...

[Kotone]

Kotone let out a long yawn as she was tried. Just a few mins later another guard came up and tap Kotone on the should telling her it time to switch shifts. Kotone nodded as she got up as she headed inside the fortress. She still can't wrap her head around the idea of Merik sneaking out with out anyone seeing him. Either he can turn invisible or there must be some hidden path way she does not know yet. Which she figure is unlikely as she follow him around ever since they were kids so she knew all his hiding places. Well she thought she did...

She walked down the hall as she rubs her neck and let out a long yawn.

A few hidden hallways and a small armory later Merik emerged from a secret door into an empty room, taking a few seconds to remove his cloak and hang it in the hidden chamber before resealing the wall. Brushing a bit of dirt from his tunic he opened the door and stepped out into the fortress proper. Deep in his own thoughts and already beginning to plot with the new information he had available he appeared to be wandering aimlessly through the halls.

"I suppose that now all the pieces are in play I'm overdue for another trip into the Haunted Wasteland...damn."

Kotone was going to yawn once more but stop she heard a voice. Not any voice she heard Merik voice down the hall. A smile came to her face as she went running to the voice to see him in his normal outfit. He seem to be deep in thought but it seem he was back from wherever he was hiding in. She ran over to him and grab the back of his shirt tail. She was a bit upset as she wanted to know where he was and what he been up to. He been well running from her or giving her the go around when it came to these thing.

No she get him this time! She will make him talk~!

Merik was yanked back from his thoughts when he felt a tug on his tunic and as there was only one person in the fortress who would actually do something like that he began to prepare himself for a not so fun lecture.

"Well if it isn't my sweet sister." He said with a sly grin as he turned to face Kotone. "What can I help you with? And please don't tell me that Ruma has blown something up again."

[Kotone]

Kotone blinks at him as he threw her off with his off comment about her sister. She shook her head no as she cross ehr arms. She knew she did not have to jester what she wanted to know. She just game him a look but knowing Merik he try to look away. So she Jester away asking where he been. Then she jester it asking how he got out really. Thought it was really hard not to smile at him as she did like him and hard to stay upset with him to long. After all she grew up with him but there was still some things she need to know. She not only his sister but his adviser.

Merik hadn't expected his disappearance to go unnoticed for long...but he had hoped for a little longer.

"I've been meeting with some of my...less reputable contacts. As for how I got out, I took the side entrance and don't worry about there being an unprotected entrance because I'm the only one who knows where it is currently." he said with a calm smile before adding in. "I know you worry but you don't need to, there isn't anything wrong...though I did meet the Hero of Time's descendant yesterday."

Kotone did not like the sounds of that however it also sounded like he did not see the fairy then. Which was good in her case. However it looks like she have to buff up her guarding area more seeing they seem to have a entry that she does not know yet. Before she could even bug him for more info of where this enrty is he started to talk about something else. Something that threw her threw a loop.

She took a step back as she looked at Merik funny at what he said. The Hero of time descendant? But why is he around? Kotone knows Merik no evil guy. This only means she have to stick to Merik more now as there was no way she was going to let the lies cause another war with her people.

"Don't worry about it, if the Hero plans anything those plans don't involve the Gerudo just yet." Merik said, catching the look in her eyes. "As it stands this does present me with a need to travel into the wastes in search of...religious guidance."

It would probably help matters if he knew where in the desert he was going, but he had a vague idea and that was enough for a start.

"Unfortunately I'm not certain how long I'll be gone so I would have you and Ruma rule in my stead. Between the two of you I don't foresee any problems for a time."

Both had the knowledge to rule but Kotone had the greater respect of their people though her lack of a voice could make some things difficult as a ruler.

Ok now Kotone really did not like the sounds of that. She knew what he was saying and she can only think of two old ladies. They are not religious they are more dirty hags they trying to use Merik. She knows it but he won't listen to her with it comes to them. However even more he was going to leave her and her sister once more on this so called travel. She cross her arms as she glare at him as she post to be his body guard and his adviser yet he does not seem to listen to her wise words at all.

If anything she think it be best she go with him or heck they got ot he spirit temple then the witches. She jester her hands saying she going with him or he stays and she go either way he not leaving protection when the hero is alive. To the gerudo the Hero was more of a villain. Well for all they know he was since time kind of change story in their records and what Merik tell them.

"No, this is a journey I must take alone if I have any chance of receiving the blessing of the Three-Fold god." Merik said calmly in light of her rising irritation. "And if Link does feel the need to come for my head, more likely than not he'll come looking here as opposed to the middle of the desert."

He wasn't worried in the slightest about the Hero, the King was stronger and faster than most warriors. If he could obtain the blessing of his master it might allow him the edge he needed to finally take control of the throne of Hyrule and bring the Gerudo out of the desert...IF he could obtain the blessing...first he he had to find his master's temple.

Kotone really did hate this more of all as more he seem to grow up the more he was leaving her and his family behind. She knew his quest for power was big but she hope it won't become his down all. She wanted to protect him no it was her job to protect him so letting him go like this hurts. She nods to him as she let out a big sigh to him as she can't say no to him on that.

She thought for a moment as the Goddess fest was coming up she figure she can do that when Merik out there. It get everyone's mind off the bad things going on. Then maybe the Goddess will come down and fix everything. As the Gerudo been cursed to long and need to be set free from this curse.

When Kotone gave in, Merik chuckled and slipped his arm over her shoulders.

"It'll be alright and I'll be back soon enough for you to nag at once more." he said jokingly, even though her protection had helped keep him alive more than a few times. "And when I return maybe the three of us will take a short trip away from the desert...perhaps up to the mountains or out into the islands, how do you feel about that?"

It had been a while since any of them had had anything resembling a 'family trip' and he did think it would do them all some good to get away even for a short time.

Thought Gerudo women were strongest female races however there a reason why there might been on male only. However she felt like she was melting as his arm came around her however she stood strong. Kotone nods as a trip did sound nice and a place away from the desert was even better. However that means he have to come back in once piece and with head still on his shoulders after all. She nodded to him as she would love a trip like that a time to relax and no have to worry about the tribe or protecting anyone.
