Hyrule Castle was big, majestic and overflowing with an air of power and authority.
That was the impression that most people got when gazing up at the monolithic structure. Ryan wondered if it had been intentionally engineered that way, or of the builders had been trying for something else when they drew up the blueprints. In reality it was likely the former, government types usually liked to show off their power and wealth, and while the current monarchy seemed to have a rather level head about such things there was nothing saying that the original inhabitants didn't.
Putting his musings about state heads and money out of his mind, Ryan made his way towards the inner part of the castle where Zelda was waiting for him. He had extended a request to meet with her diplomatically, to foster greater relations between the humans and the Hylians. So far things were fine between the two races, but there was nothing wrong with being friendly for the sake of being friendly right?

Ryan was here to maintain diplomatic relations with Princess Zelda. It was a noble move, and relations were good to have.
Titania, on the other hand, was simply here to say hi.
Flying in one of the upper windows, she was immediately stopped by two guards attempting to apprehend her before realizing this was Titania. Giving her a nod and permission to roam the castle, Titania began to walk towards the throne room. Not the first time she's been here, and she knew the way without any help.
Hyrule Castle was considerably larger than the fairy palace Titania knew. Many more decorations and large rooms. Titania, however, preferred her quaint little hovel in the trees.
Approaching the door to the throne room, she patiently waited until she was given permission to enter. She didn't want to be rude after all.

Messengers with escorts had to be sent out, and she had to make sure that not a single leader was excluded; it would not do to have anyone feel slighted. Then, once a date and time had been decided upon, preparations had to be made -- food had to be cooked, the meeting room cleaned and organized, and she was absolutely positive that at least a half-dozen of the nobles and advisers would suggest that she had a new dress made, which was an unnecessary expense in itself. So when a leader or two came to her of their own accord, Zelda was overjoyed that careful, stuffy courtesy (which was almost required when so many different races were gathered) could be foregone.
She was polite, of course; the Princess always was. She could be a tad more comfortable with her words when there was a small gathering, though.
Zelda was expecting the Champion Ryan; a small surprise to her, though, was the presence of Queen Titania next to him. She shouldn't have been surprised, she supposed; the fairy queen popped in rather often, usually just for social purposes.
"Come in," she called, just loud enough to be heard beyond the door. [/style] |

Ryan walked comfortably in to the throne room, being largely unimpressed by all the decor and numberless servants and officials running around in the background. Stopping a respectful (if still somewhat close) distance away from Zelda, he gave a polite bow befitting her station and his. "Zelda, aways good to see you my girl, how have you been? I would imagine that taking the throne at such a young age would traumatize most people. Yet here you are running things smoothly. My compliments."
Ryan was a solid ten years older than she was, and remembered her father very well, even if he had been a boy at the time. "Have those old fool politicians finally decided to let you take the throne officially? Or are they content to let you do their jobs while taking all the credit?" Never let it be said that Ryan was subtle when expressing his beliefs. The fact that The Princess hadn't been allowed to take the throne, yet was still running the country, was something that he felt was a gross piece of stupidity on the part of everyone else in the government. He wasn't exactly a rabid supporter of Zelda, but she did seem to have a good head on her shoulders, so he did respect her.

Titania walked in, also giving a bow to Zelda while letting Ryan say his peace. If the champion were here as well, this would be much more than the hello she was here for.
"Strange. The court gave me my coronation when I was younger than you are, I wonder what's stopping yours? Maybe because you're the big fancy leader and I just lead my people." Titania smiled, laughing on the inside. Big fancy leader didn't seem to describe Princess Zelda one bit. She always seemed so under control, and modest.
"Don't sweat me too much your majesty, I just came to say hi. I doubt the champion came for a social call." Unlike Ryan, Titania had little recollection of Zelda's Father. She was stuck in the sacred grove so often all she really had were stories of him as opposed to memories. "That being said, however, I am ready and able to help in whatever ways I can. It's a fairy thing. When we're not hanging around in fountains healing people we're helping out our own." She thought to go bathe in a nearby fountain but such a public display might not go over well.
