"Check this place out," she whistled. This place was huge! Talk about one big swimming pool~ Aya's firelight eyes flickered brightly never before having the chance to see Lake Hylia before. Then again it went without saying that she didn't see much after being secluded in the Sacred Grove for most of her life. The fire fairy couldn't believe that all of the wonders of the world outside of home could be as beautiful as the scenery she saw right before her very eyes. Fluttering her fairy wings, she made a small plop onto the grass, getting a better view of the lake.
The surface of the shimmering lake glittered prettily against the multicolored skies. It reflected purple clouds as the sunlight began to simmer away by the second. The redhead began stretching her arms out before letting out a long loud sigh. It felt great to be able to fly out wherever she pleased, not having to worry about anyone disapproving of where she went wandering off to. Left to her own devices for a change, she found herself playing nonstop almost anywhere, and everywhere she travels on by.
Batting her wings once again, she hovered up above the ground, approaching the surface of the water. A small giggle escaped from her lips as she pretend to walk across the water like it was a natural born skill. Though she was careful not to slip or anything. Despite how much she liked it at the moment water was not a friendly element to the fairy. Her elongated scarlet locks followed behind her like cascading ribbons as she floated parallel to the surface of the lake~

By the Goddesses he had no idea where he was!
Kiir wandered through the forest aimlessly, trying to get a decent view of the world around him. The brush was way too thick, unfairly so. From in the air it was nothing but a green mass, he had had no idea what was under the canopy. Lo and behold it was more green mass. He batted his way through thicket after thicket just looking for some sort of clearing so he could get his bearings. The Sparrow was tucked away in one such clearing, unfortunately it was surrounded by trees and its own massive blimps that all came together to form a wall.
He sighed. Everything in the air looked alike. Just different colors and different lines. It was impossible to follow a map of Hyrule made by a ground-dweller from the air. It was just his luck that he'd find himself over a forest while trying to find his way. He cursed that luck as he battled his way through the brush until finally his foot became cold and wet. The Ooccan King, as it were, looked down at his boot where it was submerged in the beginnings of a lake and grunted to himself. The boot was calmly extracted and planted on dry ground and he continued on.
Lakes were large, and from the right angles he'll be able to see landmarks. He really needed to find a crew for the ship; it was really hard to keep it running and navigate at the same time. One boot fell in front of the other while making a squishy noise as he walked before noticing that he wasn't alone. At least, he didn't think he was alone. The way the sun reflected off the lake and the clouds, the way it cast the figure who walked on water in silhouette almost made it seem like a mirage. Kiir blinked to himself as he took a moment to take in the Lady of the Lake.
Hey, maybe she would know where he was!
One arm stretched out and Kiir waved, hoping to catch her attention, then held up the map and pointed to it. "Hey!" he called out. Ethereal lake spirit or not, she would have a better sense of where she was than he did, having never set foot on the surface in his life.

Ah~ Nothing felt better than a whole day out, and about. Left to do as she pleased, when she pleased, and how she pleased. She didn't have to abide to listening to her parents praise every member of the family except her. The femme fairy twirled around a couple of times loving every moment underneath the twilight to bask in a new found glory. Aya thought of this adventure as a means to find herself, and people who would accept her for she was rather than compare, and contrast her amidst her awfully large family.
Ayameru was tempted to flutter off until a voice caught her before she had the chance to take off. She blinked a couple of times absentmindedly. Was someone calling out to her? Her firelight optics looked around until she noticed a figure over by the shores of the lake. Who in the world was that? It would appear that he was calling out to her, but what ever could he want with the fire fairy?
There was only one way to find the answer to that~
Pushing herself forward, she glided on over to the figure now appearing as a male pointing to a map in his hands. She hovered on over to land, and perched herself onto the grass right beside him and took a glimpse of the map he had in his hands. "Are you lost or something?" she asked rather bluntly. No fancy greeting, or formal gesture needed. Just got straight to the point, plus it wouldn't hurt her to help someone out given if it was directions that the male was looking for.

Was he lost?
Kiir couldn't help but grin at the maiden's words. He now saw, as her wings settled down and weren't caught in the glistening light, that she was a fairy, not some ethereal Lady of the Lake. At once a million different pick-up lines ran through his head, ranging from the coy to the corny and back again. Kiir couldn't decide just yet which one would fit, as he didn't know this girl, so he settled for what worked best when dealing with a woman: the truth. "Remarkably," he said calmly, then looked down at the map.
"My ship is landed not far from here; I was just hoping to get my bearings as I don't recognize anything here," he explained, then looked at the map. Well duh, the lake itself was large enough to be a landmark. He turned the map a little, glanced at the shape of the lake, and suddenly everything made perfect sense. "Or . . . not," he murmured, considering where he had landed the Sparrow. His finger traced a line on the map to that location. "Wow, I've wandered far."
A hand fell to the back of his head and he rubbed, somewhat embarrassed. "Sorry, I think I was so focused on figuring out where I was on the map that I forgot I actually need to know where I am!" he said and laughed at himself. If you couldn't laugh at your own blunders then you were in a very bad spot. "So, uh, I'm Kiir," he finished, his hand coming back down to extend to the fairy. Of course you should make the best out of any situation wherein you could laugh at yourself, right?

So he was lost. Aya couldn't help but ponder where it was exactly he was trying to go to, and where from? Her mind raced in a completely different direction than Kiir's but held the same enthusiasm, delighted to make her first acquaintance since leaving Faron Province. A smile graced her lips when he admitted to his drawback feeling a tinge of pity tickle within her stomach. "Are you heading off somewhere?" she inquired.
What was this about a ship now? Her eyebrow quirked up actually quite interested in learning more about this peculiar fellow. When she thought of a ship, she thought of the vessels that traveled the ocean from one land to another. Those large wooden structures that caught wind, and traveled great distances.
It would be quite impossible to navigate a ship on the lake, and it would be quite pointless for it to be there to begin with since there was no where to travel it to, and from. So something wasn't making sense here. "A ship as in... a vessel that travels out to sea?" she asked curiously. "What good would one of those do here? Lake Hylia's body isn't big enough for traveling a ship through, you know."
When he began laughing about his blunder, she tilted her head to the side slightly, unsure at first on how to react to it. The best option she went with was smile, and let a small laugh escape from her lips. He was certainly an amusing one~ At least he had the ability to laugh off his errors. The redhead probably couldn't be able to do the same if she made a blunder like that.
It was then that he introduced himself as Kiir as he extended out his hand for her to take. What an interesting fellow with an interesting name. She held out her hand placing her palm into his before saying, "Ayameru. Call me Aya for short. Pleasure, Kiir~"

Would it be wrong to use the stolen Ooccan prototype airship, one of a kind as it was, to pick up girls?
Probably. But Kiir was feeling a new sort of freedom he hadn't felt in a long time. No doubt they were looking for him or the ship, but he was out of the City, in the wide world. It would be a long time before they could find any mention of him, and even then the airship would allow him to avoid being caught for years if he was smart enough. But then it would be a while before they branched their search out anyway, with all the bureaucracy that had to happen first. It wasn't the City he'd grown up in anymore, so he left.
And now he was on the shore of Lake Hylia, with a stout little fairy named Ayameru, who was inquiring about his sweet ride. "The pleasure's mine," he said as he shook her hand, then failed to release it. Instead he gripped it and tugged, pulling her off into the trees. "My ship's quite unique, I can tell you that," he said with a Cheshire grin as he pulled her in the direction of where it was parked. The route was easily rediscovered; he wasn't used to traveling through brush so the trail was pretty beaten.
"Only one of it's kind in Hyrule, I bet," Kiir said with confidence, though he was not sure of this whatsoever having never left the City. He pulled aside a few branches, considered a section where his own trail crossed one regularly used by animals, then continued onward. Just before they arrived, with appropriate timing, he glanced back at the girl he was towing. "Behold, the Sparrow," he said wondrously and stepped from the brush. Unfortunately the grandeur of the airship was hidden by the trees, as it barely fit into the clearing he had chosen to land in.
He pulled a latch and a door hissed out and dropped from the side onto the ground. "The first Ooccan airship," he announced, finally letting go of her hand and putting his hand on his hips, grinning quite proudly at his ship. "And she's mine, just as I'm her captain!"

Between the two redheads by the lake, it was quite clear that they shared a common passion for freedom, and what a glorious gift it was to have. Especially since the two weren't handicapped to staying only on the ground. However in this sense, freedom took on the form of being relieved of the burdens of what they left behind. Not that the redhead would be aware of that, but we're just getting through formal introductions or at least what would be the introduction stages. There was no rush on her part...
Well, that is until after they shook hands.
Aya was about to release when she felt his hand lock onto hers, catching her completely off guard, as he began dragging her away from the lake's opening. She gasped for a moment before her fiery eyes watched with shock as they traveled away. This man was certainly insistent. Her brows furrowed slightly rather taken back by his assertive nature, not sure whether to consider it confidence or arrogance. Perhaps a little bit of both~
"You don't say," was her only response trying to get her footing back. Was that a leaf in her hair? Shaking off the quick trip, she followed him to the best that she could without stumbling, or tripping over her feet noticing how eager he was to show off his pride, and joy. Was it really that big of a deal, she wondered. Normally, she wasn't one to take boasting seriously, but that was because she grew up with a family who lived off of praising one another for even the most trivial of subjects. Now that she was away from home, she supposed she had to give the male a try before she brushes it off completely.
Soon enough he proved himself of his confidence. Her firelight orbs for eyes widened a little as she took in the spectacle of the first, and probably only airship that came into existence. "Dear Din," she gasped, "That's insane, Kiir. This beast really fly?"
A string of mental questions began to form in her mind such as 'how did it function, how high could it go, etc etc'. The look on her face would appear to be that of a spirited child, dreamy with a new found spark learning something grand, or amazing.

Of course she was a bit skeptical. He was talking about a ship that could fly, something few people imagined let alone something that was capable of existing. Yet when they broke through to reveal the hull of the Sparrow his boasts and claims were justified and she was, reasonably, quite shocked. If you could claim the outrageous, do it, especially if you were able to back it up. Always left them speechless when their doubts were shattered. Kiir could only grin as he watched her eyes light up.
"It flew me here and I reckon it'll fly me away from here now that I have my bearings. Kind of hard to fly by myself, though, as you can imagine," he admitted with a simple shrug before stepping through the hatch and into the cargo bay. He didn't further anymore on his earlier comment, but rather let the seeds get planted that they may be harvested at a later date. Instead he turned around and offered her his hand to help her up the steps. "Care for the grand tour?"
There really wasn't much to tour in a ship, of course. The interior consisted of a cargo bay, bunks, a small brig, kitchen and dining area and the captain's quarters. The real show was on the deck above, with the large blimps that lifted the thing floating high above and the mess of ropes. The real real show was when it was flying. Kiir had grown up in the City in the Sky all his life and had been able to look down at the land below. But being able to move about, to adjust his altitude, his angles, even the setting itself, it all led to quite the view even for an Oocca. Particularly for an Oocca who couldn't fly.
After the tour, on the deck, Kiir's hands found his hips and he grinned proudly. "What do you think? She's quite a beauty, isn't she?"

When you lived in a reclusive society of fairies that relied on magic, such thing as technology was a foreign subject that nobody ever talked about, let alone fathomed would occur in her village. There were plenty of places who didn't adapt to the rise of advancement, and innovations going on across Hyrule. Still, Aya was quite impressed with the airship she saw right before her eyes. It was huge! Though she couldn't help but giggle mentally at the name of an airship named the Sparrow. It was anything but a gentle bird, but she had to admit it was a pretty name.
"You handle everything on your own?" she asked with much surprise laced in her voice. That must have been a lot of work! Didn't he have a crew to manage things to lighten up the load off his back? A tinge of pity filled up within her frame wishing she could help out. Though those thoughts would be saved for a later date after hearing him offer her the grand tour of the place. Her eye lit up like fireworks bursting bright in the middle of the evening sky. "Would I? Hell yeah!" she exclaimed.
Aya batted her fairy wings hovering inside of the interior of the airship. All that could be heard througout the tour was a lot of 'OoOoh's~' & 'Ah's~' as Aya got into a few things here, and there. She got so excited about viewing everything that she nearly bumped her head against the cieling of the interior. After a few close calls, she decided it would be best to stay on her feet while continuing the rest of the tour. There was, however, a pep in her step eager to see everything about the flying ship~ It was all amazing to the redhead, and it still put her on a sugar high just to be able to be inside it.
When the rest of the tour was concluded, she twirled around facing the male redhead. A bright grin formed upon her lips nodding her head over enthusiastically. She tucked a few stray strands of her scarlet locks away from her face. "Definitely," she agreed, "How long did it take to make this?"

Kiir grinned as she took in the entire ship. It was the kind of thing that left most people gawking like that. Truth be told he was still marveling in it, despite having been there throughout most of its production. He could only smirk at her enthusiasm. "Two years of actual building. Not sure how long they'd worked on the schematics. But they wanted to keep her cooped up for further testing. But a beautiful bird like this has to spread her wings, so I . . . liberated it from the Oocca," he said with a shrug, then climbed to the forecastle.
The ship itself was based off of the typical boat, however instead of a wheel or a rudder there were a series of cords leading up to fins on the side used for flight. He grinned down at her. "It's rather tough to work everything myself, but I do have a few things working in my favor. I'm faster than your average person when I need to be, and . . ." he trailed off and held out his hand, reaching out with his Ooccan telekinesis. He couldn't fly and his underdeveloped wings didn't give him most advantages of an Oocca, but his telekinesis seemed to be better than most.
A couple fuel nozzles turned, a few lines were tugged here and there about the ship, acting as if the ship itself was alive. Fires flared above them in the blimps and the ropes that held them there were pulled taught as the blimps gained lift. Not enough to pick them up yet, but it was the ready position for the ship. "Want to go for a ride, Aya?" he asked and grinned down to her, leaning against the controls. "If you like it maybe you could even join the crew," he added whimsically.

The fire fairy listened, and nodded her head. That was quite impressive to be able to build an airship in just two years. One would think that it would perhaps take longer than that, but judging from the actual design, it was essentially taken from the roots of the original sea vessel. However rather than having actual sails, and necessities that a boat would need, it was modified for not only a good sized crew, but a good bit of weight for the rest of the advancement to get it to fly up into the air. Her train of thoughts were quickly halted by the way he worded his last sentence automatically causing the redhead's brain to start ticking on what he meant. "You're kidding..." she commented in disbelief.
Did he really jack the prototype of some advanced technology for his own enjoyment? This guy was a natural when it came to making mischief~ It was almost enough to spark a competitive streak with him. Such thoughts were pushed aside actually curious how the hell he managed to steal this baby away from the City in the Sky. He was certainly something alright if he took the ship by himself, and managed to keep it out of sight for only the gods knew how long.
Her firelight eyes flickered brightly as she watched the airship practically come to life. With his telekinetic powers, he took full control of the ship with the wave of his hands, and the spectacle left the scarlet fairy in awe. From above her head, she heard the flames roared, and the blimps heating up ready to take off at the beckoning of the captain of the ship. When everything was ready, and the Sparrow was ready to fly, Kiir offered her to take the bad baby for a ride to see if she enjoyed it. His added comment made her grin from ear to ear. "What, are you like, a sky pirate captain?" she giggled, "Tempting. Let's spread this Sparrow's wings first~"
Was he serious about letting her join his crew? The idea of being apart of of a crew of an airship certainly sounded amazing! Wait, what would Ani think about this? She couldn't leave her twin sister out of something this epic. Perhaps she might be interested in this ordeal as well~ It wouldn't hurt to ask, but it was a thought she kept tucked away for a later date.

Kiir grinned at Aya. The girl had a sense of adventure, that was for sure, to demand such temptation, to request such a spectacle. His elbow nudged a lever near the wheel and the flames above them flared once more, this time with the intensity needed to start to rise. The ropes pulled taught, thick cables that would likely hold even if a dragon tried to bite through them. There was a rocking as the ship left the ground and balanced itself out for air flight, and then it started to rise above the trees.
"Sky pirate," he repeated to himself and smirked. "I suppose if the seas have ships and pirates then why couldn't the sky. Sure the Oocca themselves are probably preparing a fleet of these puppies as we speak. For all we know the skies could get quite crowded from here on out," Kiir mused and laughed. "But we will always be the first!" he announced proudly, pulling the lever down further as they cleared the canopy of the trees and entered into open air.
"You sure are adventurous, to board a ship with a man you just met. For all you know I could've had some sort of trap or ambush inside, no?" he mused again, wondering if it was confidence or recklessness that had placed her on his deck. "Either way you made the right choice, boarding my ship, and I promise you won't regret it," he added particular emphasis to the word promise, allowing her adventuresome mind to go where it wanted with the word.
Using his telekinesis he once again adjusted many things on the ship, pulling some ropes to balance their weight, a few nozzles to control the fuel that traveled to the flames. Then he readjusted the lever and they leveled out, the flames still roaring above them to create lift. He stepped to the railing and looked out over, at the ground that was surprisingly low below them. "She has a knack for going much faster than you'd think," he murmured idly while observing the lake that stretched out before them.

As the black sheep of her family's happy flock, it would only come natural for her to want to enjoy things like taking risks, and enjoying the adventure it brought. The little fairy held her ground as the airship rocked to, and fro taken a little by surprise by how much movement it caused from just getting ready to take off. She stared up at the flames impressed that the hot air inside was powerful enough to lift up the blimps, and altogether lift the ship airborne. When the ship wasn't shaking as much after the initial take off, Aya scampered over to the edge of the ship, watching it float up off of the ground, and began taking them higher, and higher.
"It puts a whole new meaning to the term, 'the sky's the limit', huh?" she grinned. How much further could one get before the limit has been met? An interesting concept to think about, but for the moment she only took it from one small thought to returning back to reality at hand. It wouldn't have been long before the range of everything in her sight began to take a whole new level of expansion. Sure, she was able to get a view from flying herself - wings were handy like that, but when she had her feet planted on a solid surface, and she was still rising, it was just a different feeling to behold.
When Kiir mentioned about her adventurous spirit about accepting the offer of riding an airship from a man she just met Aya had to let out a small giggle. Batting her fairy wings, she floated back over to his side before giving him a playful wink. "Sometimes you've got to live on the edge to truly feel alive," she answered, "Otherwise you're taking up too much space." It came from naturally a sense of rebellion of sorts, not wanting to accept social etiquette, and what is morally acceptable behind her family's teachings. She refused to be just another pretty face in the family, thus breaking her ties away from home to establish a life of her own, and her own identity. "Let's hope so. I trust you won't disappoint~"
The sound of the flames roaring out in the blimps held a rather soothing tone as it rang within the fire fairy's ears. Perhaps it was because naturally, being a pyromancer, she held an infatuation with the element. She perked up upon hearing that the Sparrow could go much faster followed over by a small laugh. "You don't say~" she mused, "Can it move faster than a sea ship?"

He was starting to like this fiery fairy, he had to say. She knew what she wanted, she knew what she liked. He could appreciate someone like that. With a coy grin he crossed his arms and stepped back to the wheel. "She can go pretty fast. Depends on the winds and the flight path, really. But that's nothing spectacular," he mused, glancing at the sunset and pondering something. "I have an idea you'll probably really enjoy."
The same lever was pulled down and the flames roared as they rose rapidly once more. "Normally I'd avoid trying this, but the timing is just so perfect," he mused as they rose. They entered into a cloud and suddenly everything was wet and cold. Kiir didn't seem to mind but he wondered what his new companion would think. Either way he knew that the next part of their ascension would blow her away. It was the kind of thing that would blow most land dwellers away, he knew.
Then everything was red. They broke through the top of the cloud and found themselves above the clouds. A sea of white was splayed out before them, on fire as the sun on the horizon shared its brilliant crimson light with them as it set. Kiir pulled the lever to level them out and the flames calmed down, just keeping them suspended in the air. There was a surprisingly lack of wind, creating a silent serenity broken merely by the occasional creak of the boat.
Kiir stepped away from the controls to join his fairy friend. "Sorry about the cloud, they're hard to avoid," he mused, then turned to observe the sunset. "Behold, though, the flaming sky!" He grinned widely as he saw it, something he'd seen quite often from the City, but knew it was a splendor unmatched by anything on the ground. He also knew that the air up here was deceptively cold and if they stayed too long, particularly now that everything had a light layer of moisture over it, things would start to freeze.
But he couldn't pass up a chance to impress a pretty girl.

From the moment you were born, you had the choice to shape your individuality the way you wanted it. The people around you were your greatest influence as to how that identity takes form. Aya knew from the day she could understand the world around her that as long as she lived with her family then she wouldn't be accepted amongst them as someone special. She was no different than anybody else, and that wasn't acceptable for her. She was far too willful to just bare with it, and allow herself to be someone else's reflection.
Her firelight eyes flickered brightly at Kiir's words. What was he up to now? Soon enough the shift in gravity caused her to keep her footing in hold as the large ship rose up rapidly into the sky. Aya noticed a dramatic change in air pressure as they rose up to the sky. Distracted by that, she jumped when she felt the cool spray of mist against her skin as they went through a dark and damp cloud. Bright fiery eyes shot a glare over to the driver of the airship not at all appreciating getting soaked at random.
However her temper diminished away when Kiir brought the ship forth above the clouds to display a wondrous spectacle before her very eyes. Her firelight eyes burned bright but now with anger this time. Aya stared out to the distance nearly blinded by how much red the sky was coated with. The sunset bleeding a beautiful shade of crimson as it colored the clouds with various hues of gold. The fire fairy could have sworn that the skies were calling out to her, let her wings take up to the sky, and fly freely amidst the crimson skies.
"It really does look like the skies are on fire," she beamed over to Kiir, "This is amazing, Kiir!" It was easy to say that Kiir did a successful job in impressing Aya~
