POSTHUMOUS
Manufactured Alabaster
RACE,Monster-Redead.
GENDER,Male
BATTLE ROLE,Magic DPS.
SPECIAL NOTE! Mirages are Post's game, yo. He deals the kizzles by duplicating his image, fo shizzle.
SEXUALITY,He's dead, you into that?Bisexual, I guess.
AGE,35
ALLIANCE,To Be Announced.
PERSONALITY,Positive
- Cool to the bone. This guy's been dead long enough to know how to chill at all times.
- He's an intellectual, experienced figure. Niavety is pretty much a foreign concept to this zombie.
- Merciless. Not a bad thing on the battlefield.
- Creative. He digs finding interesting ways to fight. Whether it be feeding a Lizalfos a bomb or just crushing it with a keg of alcohol.
- He has initiative. He's not afraid of MAKING THIS HAPPEN.
Negative
- Tends to throw off an arrogant vibe. Peons don't dig their overlord, but he doesn't believe in revolutions.
- Has mad skills; people can't handle his bizniz. Tends to separate himself from the group for he feels they hold him back.
- His years of chilling with dead people have turned him a little... dead inside. He's not the type to find love, and is less the type to just suddenly enjoy anybody. Make him laugh. He might let you touch his boot.
- Digs speed, but lacks strength. Despite his quick nature, this vampiric thing isn't all that strong. He can parry an attack, sure, but standing up to a brute's sledgehammer is out of the question.
- Forgetful. We'll leave it at that. Cool guys don't got time to remember all this shizz. That's really all there is to say on the matter.
Post also considers himself a bit of a poet. He can bring down the house when it comes to rhymes and enjoys some poetic action. The ReDead attempts to incorporate a little art in his everyday life to keep the creative juices flowing. If nothing's flowing, then shizz gets stagnant quick. He likes slamming with his teammates, provided they can even get a slight vestige of emotional response from this badass.Give em a medal quick. He also digs chillin' with some music, holmes, and will pull out his drumsticks any time somebody plucks a lute or raps a verse.
APPEARANCE,
First word? Smooth. Second word, slick. Pale skin, red eyes, about everything you'd expect from a creepy corpse raised once more from the dead. Posthumous considers himself handsome even through death, with pure white hair and a waxy complexion. Whatever the case may be, he can be intimidating in his uniform of red, or extremely cool in his basic tunic (one that happens to fit his white/red color scheme nicely). Post's always gonna have style, it's his thing. He tends to look good whatever the scene. This Redead bears almost no signs of his dark upbringing, other than the albino appearance (which is hardly dead-looking *cough*).
In battle he wears basic armours consisting of black metals and a black circular emblem with red/white rings, similar to a target.
WEAPONS,
Posthumous uses two types of weapons: Blades and Shields.
His blades are interchangeable, but can consist of broadswords, claymores, katanas, rapiers, sabres, etc. He doesn't carry more than two at a time, so the situation he is in will be defined by the weapons he carries. Naturally he will have to sacrifice a shield with the two handed blades.
Shields are a different store. He has one specifically: A black shield with cog-like edges, useful for bludgeoning enemies. It is a black disk-like shield with red cog-like workings around the edge and a white ring near the center. Dat color scheme, right? This shield is held via the center, and Post can use it for a variety of purposes, eg holding a door open, a paper weight, a throwable item, and a shield.
Other Miscellaneous Weapons might include basic shuriken, bombs, and other normal quest items that could be used offensively/aren't hard to hold on a person.
ITEMS,
Posthumous digs rockin' the beats, so he holds a pair of sticks in his pack just for the event that he can throw down some wicked nasty jams. He likes all kinds of music but tends to find percussion easier to travel with. Two tree-limbs aren't that difficult to obtain.
Other than that, Post gets hyped over stained glass. He actually spent time to create two shards of the stuff, wrap wire around them, and use them as a fashion accessory (however odd that may be). After all, someone has to make the fashion statement for it to become a fact. EG Tinted shades.
Any other common Quest Item or piece of Exploratory Gear will often be foundin his sylladexon his person if you search hard enough.
ABILITIES,
Ability 1:
Dat Reflection
Posthumous holds the ability to create illusions of himself via sight. As long as an enemy puts an eye on him he can activate his abilities, effectively making them mind-affecting. Think of it as a trick to the eye, literally. By using his Dark magic (seeing as he is created from it, fo sho) he can basically implant his own reflection into the eyes of another (but only one enemy at a time). He can mimic basic movements as well through this illusion, leaving the possibilities for distractions during battle. The image literally lasts the duration of his movements/attacks;he tries to keep his GIFs short- Imean, the magic only lasts that long, and by the end of the post his mirage will have faded, to leave a cooldown of one post.
Lasts a post, then must cool down for a post.
Ability 2:
Echo Shield
Deriving from the ReDead scream, this ability allows Posthomous to emit high-frequency vibrations from his palms that can deflect attacks. These vibrations are enough to make a low, resounding electro-bass sound in the event that he uses them. Most commonly used as a shield, once a weapon hits them they send a kinetic burst of energy through the weapon, often doing low damage to the attacker (EG hurting their wrists a bit/spraining them). If the attack is strong enough, Post risks the weapon breaking through his barrier and causing him injury. In order to break it, it normally requires a point-blank, solid hit from 2x+ strength. Light damage will not break it. Thus, this defense is best used with a Shield of some sort. Hmm....
While using this ability with his Shield, the cogs will spin from the vibrations, revealing simple mechanics in the defensive item. This can be a slight boon during battle.
Passive, but weak. No cooldown.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Scream
ReDeads scream. That's the biznasty they partake in over the course of their Dark lives. This scream potentially paralyzes anybody within earshot for one post. This scream does not differentiate between friend and foe, so it must be used tactically to be of much useunless you're just taking cheap shots. Cooldown is six posts.
1 post paralysis, 6 post cooldown.
Feed
ReDeads also have the ability to feast on their targest. Not that a guy as ironic as Post would need that, of course. Still, for technical purposes he feels it is necessary to keep this ability on mind. To feed, a target must first be paralyzed. Then Post has the ability to take a chunk outta their body. This can heal light damage- for example, a cut or bruise. Will not heal stabs or medium/hard damage, although it will lessen the damage done to the areas of the body.
Can only be used in tandem with Scream, and has the same cooldown.
Heals light damage, 6 post cooldown.
HISTORY,
War is cheap. That's how it is.
Whatever Posthumous used to be, he has no idea. Whatever name he had was meaningless. All he knows is he awoke thanks to a dark sorcerer from somewhere or sometime. Is it honestly that necessary for a dead person to remember their life? Post finds the irony of "the only life lived in death" more ironic and cool than those other ReDeads. He holds the image of a strapping lad of maybe sixteen or seventeen, obviously one arrogant and stupid enough to run screaming onto the battlefield and die a laughable death. All that matters is he has forgotten those mistakes and learned from a completely new life. He doesn't know how long he was dead, or how long he was alive, but he's been around for a good thirty years in this body now.
When he first awoke he was stricken by confusion. Who was he? Why was he awake? Who was this Dark fellow who summoned him and then died from some beastly monster- ohwait, he did that. Never mind. Anyways, after gaining strength the ReDead known as Posthumous devoured his master. Fortunately, the man was quite generous with his choice of weaponry and Post spent the rest of his days training with the local Stalfos, who regarded the sorcerer with contempt and rather enjoyed the thought of his ironic demise. Whoeverthehell the overlord was Post wasn't sure, but it didn't matter- he spent his days doing as he liked, wherever he liked, even if it was in an old musty desert. Did he mention he doesn't like deserts?
Long story short, he learned how to use both sword and shield thanks to the local party of Undead, and with great sorrow and triumph did he leave their cove in search of a world where he could share his beautiful poetry to the world. The Stalfos were polite enough to listen, but nay, they had not the brains to comprehend his mad-ass slams.
So he is in Hyrule in search of a good time, being a hero and all that jazz~
EXTRAS,
This is kinda a comic relief thing, and it's meant to be a little retarded, but I tried to balance out his skills in an attempt to make him a legitimate character. Just tell me how to fix him and I'll get to it. .
By the way, it's Deity. XD I kinda wanted to create a character similar to the ones a few have in the past. And I was bored.
