[atrb=valign,top][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=cellpadding,5,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] presenting, ( battleship ! ) wait, dafuq nixie, what are you thinking! how are you going to do that! * this is the outline version, because my first write-up of this was really wordy. you don't necessarily have to read all of this. it's for those who like to know everything that's going down; though it would be nice of you to take the time. this event requires a lot of activity and dedication, so be sure you will be active when you sign up! where, OCEANIA HYRULE |
— the placement of ships doesn't really hold any significance, btw.[/ul]
how,
TO JOIN
— after sorting through the coordinations of each and randomizing the teams, i'll give the team members your definite locations by choosing from your sent combinations (sending multiple combinations is for the purpose of not having duplicates, and not giving away which sectors are already taken). each team is given three ships.
- destroyer
monster difficulty: hard - advance rounds needed to overtake: 20 - submarine
monster difficulty: medium - advance rounds needed to overtake: 15 - battleship
monster difficulty: easy - advance rounds needed to overtake: 10
advance round would mean rounds where your team (or majority of) is actually moving forward in the ship. if anything stops you, like a door, puzzle, or fight, posts made doing so will not count towards your advancement.
what are rounds? a round consists of the posts of the participants in between the dm's (meaning, the dm's post signals the beginning and end of a round). you may only post once a round, and within two days (unless you give word of leave).
if you are in combat and such, and don't post within two days, it will be assumed that you have done nothing. likewise, if you're the only one in your team not posting, you will get left behind and eventually return back to the lobby.
— remember to keep these coordinates a secret from everyone aside from your own teammates![/ul]
MAKING A MOVE
why,
REWARDS
that crap you've all been yearning for.
- taking down a destroyer results in 30 rupees each infiltrator and 5 for the other team members.
- submarines give 25 rupees each infiltrator and 5 for the other team members.
- battleships give 20 rupees each infiltrator and 5 for the other team members.
— initially, you may think this isn't much, but keep in mind all of the additional posts you will be making for this event, plus monsters and players you may slay, in addition to the fact that i tend to give out many bonus points for various things, if you are familiar with my dm style.
— but of course, i'll need to place some penalties for the losing teams.
- each member of the last team standing earns all of their individual points.
- the team in second place earns their points -25%.
- the first team to have all ships eliminated earns only 50% of their points.
* if there are only two teams, the middle bullet is null.
** halving odd numbers is rounded down.
*** reward distribution is subject to change.
— if you add it all up theoretically, the more activity and dedication you put into this, the more you will ultimately earn. so yes, this is a long quest, but it would be a good idea to be active if you yearn to earn and surpass your enemies.
[/ul]
activity,
JUMPING IN
— if the team as a whole managed to acquire points prior to your joining, you will not inherit those points.
— hell, even if things later end up to the point where there are only two or three people per team still actively participating, i'll keep the game running and give out massive rewards to them as thanks. >8l[/ul] GETTING BOOTED
