There was something about Ordona that Virion had always liked; perhaps it was due to the lush greenery of the flora and fauna, or perhaps it was just simply the sounds of nature rumbling around him that provided a pleasant change from the hubub of the towns. Nevertheless, as he wandered around the Minish Forest, with clearly no sense of direction, the demon knew that he could spend all day here if he had to without exactly finding civilization. If he wanted out, all he needed to do was spread out his wings and take flight to the skies above. Simple as that. That was an advantage of being a demon of his race; you had wings.
A loud snap, the telltale sound of a branch being split into two behind him made him spin around and unsheathe his blade immediately. With no hesitation, the demon lunged forward towards the sound swiftly, clearly expecting to stumble upon nothing and blame his imagination for making him think that a branch had snapped. But when he collided with the warm body of something that was definitely not a tree or a rodent of any sort, Virion pushed the figure back so that it was pressed against the bark of a large oak, the silver blade Ceris pressed to her throat.
"...Good afternoon."

Oh, the forest were always so much more fun than the hustle and bustle of Castle Town~! Along with being a lot more beautiful than the wastelands her brother had claimed for his territory. Honestly, Cassie was quite glad that she had stepped down from her former position as one of his lieutenants. She had done so at first so her twin would have people he could trust looking out for him, but perhaps being in power was not a role well suited for her. Having attempts on her life made got boring pretty quickly, and so she was glad with having her own time to wander around and see the beauty of Hyrule. Perhaps she would deign to visit the desert to see Alexander, but not right now. Cassie really wanted to enjoy the peace of the Minish Forest, and a part of her was tempted to bathe in one of the creeks. [What? She liked taking a bath as much as the next girl!]
Cassie turned her head this way and that, listening keenly for the sound of running water. Her sharpened senses caught the soft rushing of a creek, and a bright smile curled upon her lips. Her happiness could be so childlike at times, and she giggled to herself at the simplicity of it. Perhaps she should have been paying more attention to her surroundings, and she should not have ignored the sudden rearing of her instincts. She stumbled a moment as her foot caught upon a branch, a muttered curse slipping from her lips as she nearly tripped. Well, that was the least of her problems, right? Blue eyes widened as a warm form came barreling from nowhere to collide with her own. Oh, Goddesses, what in the world? Before Cassie could even attempt to push away, she was pushed roughly against a tree; the rough bark was pressed rather uncomfortably along her back.
Blue eyes bled into a brilliant gold, pupils becoming slitted like a reptile's as a sharp blade was pressed against her neck. Cassie hissed angrily, not at all pleased with being caught like this. Oh, yes, because being pressed against a tree by an irate male was her dream! [Well, maybe a fantasy of hers, but not with a dagger at her throat!] Closing her eyes, Cassie reigned her temper in before she burst into a size that would crush everything around her. Her eye did twitch at his rather sardonic way of a greeting. "Really, if this is your way of getting women to like you, then you need to work on your technique," she replied quite dryly. Blue eyes opened to stare at him warily, waiting for the moment when he would lax his grip and she could escape.

It was a woman.
She was actually quite a beauty, with long, flowing blonde hair and a petite structure. Though Virion did not often take the time to stop and stare at the females around him, he still did at certain intervals come on, all males were horny bastards, and he had to admit, this one took all the cards home. But her beauty wasn't what made him raise an eyebrow in surprise as he looked down at her; it was her previously azure orbs that immediately switched into a golden color that halted him from decapitating her. He pursued his lips and stared at her warily, having the odd feeling that although he was taller than her, she looked as though she could take him on anytime.
But all thoughts were lost to him when he realized something even much more important.
Holy- Virion leaped back, his eyes wide in horror and pinched the bridge of his nose in embarrassment with his free hand. How impolite had he been, assaulting a woman like that. His mouth twitched at the thought of what his demonic kin would think of him now; gender and manners were usually the last things on their mind. But Virion was been different, and yes, he did take into consideration about manners with everyone he came across, especially those of the female sex. However, as he sheathed Ceris and looked at her cautiously, a part of his mind screamed at him to unsheathe his blade and just go ahead and kill the woman for coming across him in the first place. Killkillkillkill-
"I do not have ways of getting the female race to like me, miss."
he finally replied in a strained voice, struggling to ignore his conscience. "I clearly lack the skills and personality." He ran a hand through his black locks and bowed slightly towards the woman, a faint pink flush appearing on his pale cheeks. "I apologize for my rudeness, miss. I'll leave you to...carry on along your way in this forest..." Turning his back to her, he shuffled towards the nearby creek in front of him and bent down in front of it, staring at his reflection apathetically and waiting for her to leave. I wish I was human. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Well, it seemed her involuntary shift in her nature had saved her, and Cassie was quite glad for that. At least there had been no need for her to transform into an over sized lizard to save herself from having her throat slit. She hoped that he was not thinking of killing her, because she would not make the attempt pleasant or easy for him. He was staring at her quite openly, and she had to resist the urge to shift her stance in discomfort. Sure, she had been looked at by men before, but Cassie had the feeling that this one did not do so very often. Oh, Goddesses, he was not some sort of serial rapist, right? Honestly, what was she supposed to think with him holding her at knife point, pressing up quite closely to her against a tree, and his open stare? Cue the nervous laughter and begging, right? Cassie decided to do a mental countdown before she unleashed the full reign of her temper upon him if he did not let her go. May as well start from ten, and then start her yelling to unhand her.
Well, that had been the plan, but he had leaped back before she had gotten to eight. Blue eyes widened, and her hand instantly went to her slightly abused throat to make sure no injury had been sustained. No nicks as far as she could tell, and Cassie exhaled a shaky breath. That had been a little too harrowing for comfort, and her temper fizzled as soon as she noticed the horrified expression on his face. She was still quite wary of him, and so she stood where she was. Blue eyes flickered to the movement of him sheathing his dagger, but her body was still tense and strained for any harmful motion toward her. Her crossbow had been left behind, so all Cassie had were the daggers hidden in her boots for defense, but it would be enough. She did not think he would attack, but she could sense some sort of mild mental struggle in him. Should she mention that killing her would only make her brother really, really mad?
"Well, most women don't enjoy being pushed against a tree like that. Well, some do, but not with the added dagger. And if they do, well, there is something seriously wrong with them," Cassie uttered, sardonic humor lacing her tone. Her tense form slowly relaxed, finding herself a little concerned with him now. Odd, but she could tell he was not a bad person. Not to mention his mannerisms were almost cute in a weird way. Cassie smiled slightly at the thought, but her brow furrowed in slight confusion. Yes, she was quite glad to keep her head intact, but some part of her wondered why he seemed so sad. She watched with curious eyes as he turned from her, kneeling down by the creek to stare at his reflection. She really should know better by now, but her concern overrode her caution for the time being. The young woman followed after him, kneeling down beside him like he had not threatened her life mere moments before.
"Is there something wrong? I'm not really mad at you, you know. I've gotten much worse than that," she admitted with a slight laugh. Honestly, her life had been threatened in a much more effective manner than that. The jagged scars along her back were a testament to that.

So, women did not like being pushed against trees with a dagger.
Though Virion had not said a word, that little nugget of information instantly clicked in his mind while he had walked towards the water. At first, he tried to discern her words from her point of view, but after his attempts ended in him befuddling himself instead, his mind took on a logical point of view at her words, soon coming to the conclusion that everyone would not take kindly to someone ramming them into a tree especially when their lives were threatened. Including him. A soft hum of content vibrated in his throat at deciphering the meaning of her words; another problem solved for the day.
As he pondered his reflection in the water, he wondered what it would be like to be actually human with no threat of a monstrous conscience taking over and no one giving you the odd stare when you passed them in the streets. He could wish for all he wanted, but nothing would change; he would still look like a goddamned demon no matter what he did. A pointed face framed with long jet black hair stared back at him expressionlessly, the teal lines running down its face daring and challenging him to say something about his appearance. Virion's lips pursued, suddenly feeling the urge to raise a claw and do something ridiculous like attacking the water for showing him the truth. Suck it up, bro. The demon's conscience said mockingly, laughing cynically. Now, since when did he have such a low opinion of himself?
It was never exactly sky-high to begin with anyway.
Caught up in his own personal bubble of thoughts, he nearly failed to notice the pretty blonde's presence next to him and he twitched slightly in shock with a sharp intake of breath. Recovering immediately, he nodded at her once to acknowledge her presence, (manners!) before he returned to gazing at himself in the water, knowing full well that he could debate to himself about his existence all day long. "I know."
Virion replied simply at her concerned question, sidestepping her inquiry at whether anything was wrong or not. "Because if you were really mad, I'd be a dead man, I am sure of it." He looked up at her to shoot her a tiny smile. "And yet they say frailty thy name is woman. If your words are true, then that statement is certainly not in your case, I would assume, miss." [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Cassie watched in silence as the young male stared at his reflection quite intently. It appeared that he sought to find all the answers to his questions in the water, and she could understand in a manner. It was quite obvious to her he was not human, and she could empathize with being not human at all. Her appearance was deceiving, and many did not know that she was a dragon behind a pretty face. [And not just as a way to describe her violent temper.] Cassie stared at her own reflection in the water, and wondered if pretending to be human would make her feel more accepted. She would always know the truth of her nature, and nothing in the world could change that. A sad fact to face, but she had learned to just accept what she was a long time ago. She was herself, and that was all that mattered in the end. Cassie liked herself, and that was more than many humans could say for themselves.
She watched his startled reaction to her presence, wondering if she should be prepared for him to tackle her to the ground. A wry smile crossed her lips, curious as to if she would mind that all too much. Ah, her errant thoughts never did do her much favor. Giggling to herself, Cassie watched as he soon regained his composure, and spared her a glance before look back to his reflection. Oh, if only it was as simple as just looking into a mirror to know who you really were. She did notice that he had ignored her first question, but Cassie did not press. It was none of her business, and she had no place in asking someone she had just met. [Even if he had threatened her life.] Well, it was good to know that he knew she was not angry at him. Just very surprised and startled, and the whole situation was rather amusing now that she thought about it.
"I'm not sure whether to feel insulted or good about that statement," she replied. Cassie smiled at him to show she was not really serious, but it was nice to think that someone did not think her weak. Far from it in most cases, but there would always be someone better than her. "No, not a dead man. Just at the mercy of my very, very violent temper. I like to think I'm stronger, but being overconfident is never wise for anyone," she answered lightly. His features seemed so less severe with the small smile he wore. Nothing like threatening a life to bring people together, right~?

There was indeed something about the young woman that told him not to ever cross her. It was as though even though she wore a sweet, attractive face, one wrong move and he would go splat. Perhaps it was that way for all females; put one toe out of line and he would find himself flying. Virion couldn't see himself picking fights with anyone unless they deliberately asked for them, and he most certainly wouldn't be the one that made the first move. No, he was too much of a pacifist, or a wuss, to put it harshly by direct, realistic people. While a part of his mind wandered off to debate with itself about women and him and his pacifist nature, the demon thought about what hidden powers the female race concealed, not just magic, but rather...well, he had no idea really, but he was certain that they always had something up their sleeve that they could always use to attack poor, bemused victims like him.
All this thinking was making him sleepy.
He glanced back down at his reflection, no longer looking as severe and as taciturn as it was a few moments ago, but rather, this face showed more life than usual. Humming a low, tuneless song in his throat while he waited for the young lady's answer, he poked a long, pale finger at the water, watching his face ripple and flicker lightly. "I did not insult you, miss, I was simply making a statement."
Even though her smile told him that she didn't really find anything wrong at the comment to pick on, Virion still felt the need to defend himself. The demon chuckled at her next words. "I would still be a dead man should your temper ever snap. Though I am sure you do not want anger to hasten your age." He settled down on the grass, inwardly amazed at himself for actually being able to keep up a conversation this long. "No, it isn't." The Ainur nodded, not having much confidence to appear with anyway, but pride would always be ones downfall. He trailed off then, and glanced at the creek before frowning and turning back to the blonde, realizing that all this while, he had never told her his name. "Do forgive me for not telling you this sooner, but you may call me Virion." He inwardly hoped that another nickname would not be coming his way soon. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
