--RECAP--(continued from another site) The journey starts in Peak Provence, where Piper Thimble is stuck in the snow, cold and hungry. She comes across Noah, who is camping in the mountains. He feeds her and after learning that they both are looking for someone close to them, they decide to stick together. The following day, the two leave the mountains, Piper riding on his shoulders the whole way to Hyrule Field, where they come across a small town. While Noah is stocking up on supplies, Piper wanders off, wanting to get something for Noah to repay him for helping her. That is when she sees a man walk by with a very beautiful and eye-catching gem hanging out of his pocket. Like the sly fox she is, Piper attempts to steal the gem from the man, tackling him down when he is unawares. The man is Kane, a hybrid who is just getting by with his small business of making hunting weapons, and selling what he catches with said weapons. He has just purchased the jewelry and is leaving town when he is stolen from. In a fit of rage, he chases the girl, the two of them stirring up quite a scene as Piper swipes from more shops. She is about to reach Noah when Kane catches up to her, attempting to take his belongings back, only to be punched in the face by Noah. Before any more trouble stirs up, Noah drags them both out of town, forcing Piper to apologize. She apologizes by seeing to Kane's wounds and inviting him to come with them, which Noah is less than pleased about. Feeling wanted for the first time in his life, Kane agrees, despite the rough start with Noah. The three start back through Hyrule Field, after a short and silly race between Piper and Kane, where she shoes her fox form and loosing her clothes temporarily in the process, they stop for the night. During the night, Piper explains to Kane how she and her missing older brother, Sage, grew up together, and how she believed he had lied to her when they thought they had met their real parents and she felt she betrayed him by running away. She is afraid to find him, afraid of what he would say. Kane's only answer to this is to hug her tight, and at her request, told the only happy story he could think of: The story of growing up in Gerudo Village and the pranks he pulled with his friend. Of course, keeping the story happy as Piper asked, he left out the part here he was chased out of the village for good. The next morning, Noah woke up to find Piper missing. Having flashbacks of when his sister, Layla, first went missing, he went on a rampage to find her, eventually coming across her bathing in a small pond. Kane followed, leaving all their stuff close by but away from the water. Not knowing his deep fear of water, Piper pulled Kane into the pond in a playful attempt to give him a bath. He panics and runs out, Piper apologizing yet again and washing him on land. When they go to retrieve their things, they find almost all of their belongings stolen. Kane goes into a fury, and they end up in Castle Town where Kane growls about needing a drink. Piper thinks he is serious and buys a lot of alcohol with the money of hers that wasn't stolen. That night, she drinks most of it when no one is looking, resulting in her acting seductively towards and embarrassed and clueless Kane, after dragging him into the nearby forest. Kane is trying to hold her back when Noah appears, hitting Kane yet again and taking the alcohol from Piper. Piper eventually falls asleep, and Noah points out how he's noticed Piper's obvious feelings for Kane. Kane only becomes more embarrassed but agrees before turning away and sleeping…* * * * * * * * * * *

Piper was one for adventure, whether it be in company or not. She met her two friends, Noah and Kane, in a series of peculiar events, who were now her only protection. More importantly, however, they were her only friends. Though they were all together for different reasons, Piper had a feeling they were going to be together for a very long time. She adored them both, especially Kane (because honestly, she fancied Kane). That morning, she woke up with the side of her face sore and no recollection of the night before. It was best that she remained unaware, because she would certainly be the last person to handle it well.
She sat up in the brisk air, outstretched her legs and turned to examine her surrounds in the middle of her yawn. Noah was a rock when he slept. Silent, still and of course, huge. Kane on the other hand, slept angrily, looking like a cross between an angel and a rat. She stood up and shook a few twigs from her leg. Piper was certain today was going to be a wonderful one, as all days for Piper are. Little did she know what fate had in store.
She started off by poking Noah's cheek with her bare foot until he stirred. To block the sun from his rising eyes, she leaned forward and shadowed him. Her hair brushed his nose. "Noah," she whispered. "Wake uuuup." When he didn't react, she reached into their bag and produced a cold, dead fish bought from the market. It was originally meant for food, but a trout was appropriate in any sort of situation. She rubbed it against his face like a paint brush. "Rise and shine," she whispered gently.
Once she received a bit more of a reaction, she then turned to the slumbering Kane. She grabbed the stake resting against the fire pit and approached him slowly. At first, she poked him with the sharp end in the shoulder. "It's morning. We'll have breakfast soon." Like Noah, his reaction was to its bare minimum. Was she the only morning person in this party? No, no, that would not do! Piper was going to train them how to become the proper morning person.
She raised the stake high in the air. Kane's preparation was bound to be unguarded. The hand came crashing down, and the stake smacked his rump with the might of a happy fox. It was safe to say that Piper's training had just begun.
"Morning, you two! Now, how about some breakfast?!"

After the hectic events from the night before, Noah had gone to sleep quickly, using his wings as a sort of cocoon around himself since his blanket was stolen with most of his other belongings. Thankfully, it was a slightly warmer night, with low clouds holding the heat of the air in. He didn't dream much, at least, less than he has since his new friends had joined him in his journey. His search for his younger sister was becoming more and more frustrating, with almost two years now of looking and without a single clue. The most help he had gotten was a sighting of a small Ooca girl with white hair. Unfortunetly the clue's provider didn't have anything else to say. He was moving into a small daze between sleep and awake, a sweet voice calling him into this state. He felt something against his face but took no mind to it... It was when a chill slid across his cheek that he jumped, suddenly fully awake. He kept his eye closed, squeezing them shut and rolling over, unfolding his wings. He recognized the voice as Piper and sighed, What is she up to now...? His question was answered the moment he opened his eyes, his first sight of the morning was Piper herself slapping poor sleeping Kane with their steak.

He had hardly slept the night before. The events of the day before, especially those concerning a drunken Piper speaking a sober heart, had left his mind whirling. Did she really feel that way, as Noah had pointed out? Was she really that close to him? He had a hard time believing it, since Piper seemed to stick to anyone. He lay in his usual position, on his side, arms crossed and tail whipping about. He tried to think of ways to confront her, if she even remembered anything in the morning. He wanted to stress that, at the moment, they were just friends. But what made him fidget even more was that he couldn't bring himself to say that "friends" was the right word. He had finally slept, and was coming into a daze when a cold SNAP whipped across his bottom. "W-WHAAATT-!? A LEAP and Piper was there, giggling, holding a freaking metal steak that they used to cook the night before. He gaped at her, then the stinging on his behind grew worse, and his groggy mind clicked, "P-P-PIPER!? Whuh... Why!?" He was aware that Noah was awake, looking just as confused with a cold fish at his side. His sore face reminded him of Noah's interruption last night. Couldn't bring himself to yell at her. Knew he'd get a good punch to the face again if he did. Swallowing down his anger like it was a rock, he growled, "Good morning, Piper..."
