So those who might have been passing through the Minish Forest last night were probably SLIGHTLY freaked out. After all it wasn't difficult to see a giant snake in the middle of the woods. As the sun rose up, he raised his head, bringing it up from the fresh dew. Admittedly sleeping on land in his true form wasn't a good choice. It was hard to move here, but the forest and its damp dews made it perfect. There wasn't after all a real river large enough to contain his true form. And he hated sleeping in the form of a Jul.
So with the warm sunshine on his face. Leviathan let out a yawn ( which to most would sound like a roar). And changed forms again. a light enveloping him as he was squished back into the annoying form of a Jul male. He looked at his hands. Clawless and let out a brief sigh.
It had been some time since he had been back in the ocean swimming amongst the fish and hunting of the Jul. They had fled inland. He thought it was perhaps himself that had done it. overhunting them and forcing them back onto their land. It was good in the sense that once again the oceans belonged to the Mul Dovah. But bad in the sense that well. He just wasn't having any kind of fun whatsoever! Most monsters in this quiet expanse of forest would perhaps be hoing their powers or training themselves to be more proficent in the human form.
But this was not Leviathan. The only thing he cared about was breakfast. And after some searching he had managed to kill several minish creatures. They wern't particularly appetising. Too many bones. But then bones were ediable too if not tasty, adding some crunch to things. Tossing the last bone away. He wiped his mouth and moved over to one of the creeks. True water. Perhaps not on his scales but. Upon his body. He removed the clothes that his human form wore. And climbed into the cold creek, most would assume it was a human washing off. He however was simply relaxing. Temp didn't bother him.
Dryness did. It needed to be nice and wet before he was comfortable moving about.

Some monsters came in human form. Risa, for example, was pretty far from a human. It was this particular nature that had her in the forest at that particular time, reconnecting as she liked to do every now and then, with her roots. She was a nature spirit, after all, and despite enjoying the life in Castle Town around all of those people, sometimes she just felt the need to be in nature once more. Once cannot deny themselves, after all, and Risa's enjoyment of the human creation of luxury did not stop her from being connected to the natural world.
Asleep in the woods wherever she had fallen, protected by the nature around her. Malice, lust and rape were inventions of the conscious mind, after all, and resting there in the heart of the world Risa was surrounded by nothing but that which created her. And a giant, sixty-foot-long sea snake. A sea snake whose loud, baritone yawn roused Risa from her peaceful sleep on the mossy floor of the forest. She blinked the sleep away and considered the noise, had it been real or part of one of the vivid dreams she always had when she revisited the forest.
Either way once she had awoken she felt no desire to return to her slumber. She twisted and stretched in her prone position, her sleek body wiggling in such a way that would drive most men crazy. It was all natural to her, however, as a nymph. Seduction can without thought, much like breathing. She yawned herself and sat up, brushing away leaves that had settled around her, brushing them out of her hair and from her draping clothing. She got up and headed down to the creek to clean herself off.
What she wasn't expecting when she arrived at the side of the water was the naked man taking a bath in her creek. She blinked with mild surprise before a gentle grin spread across her face. Her idea of breakfast was, obviously, significantly varied from that of Leviathan. Quietly she slipped into the water, completely clothed as her sleeves and cloak floated about her, and made her way smoothly across the surface. Nothing a nymph did was awkward or without grace. "I awake to find a pleasant surprise waiting for me, it seems," she said as she got close enough.

Much like the lady in question Leviathan was enjoying his time in the water right before it was ruined as she moved in disturbing the serene water. leviathan took a sniff, and it was the smell of vegetation. Not that it much mattered he was pretty full after those Minish. The human stomach it seemed could only hold so much. It was most limiting. His eyes browsed around, disinterested the moment she spoke. And then his eyes hit her. Now at this point her allure would be coming into effect. And Leviathan was suddenly very very confused. Something stirred between his legs, and that was rather strange. The body of the Jul had not done that before. He would have looked for himself had it not been so difficult to take his eyes off the Nymph.
The feeling of it all however was just. Disturbing. He didn't like the confusion that came with this. She was something, not quite Joor or Jul. But not Leviathan. Which made her food. But he did not wish to eat her. There were two reasons for this. One she smelled like the forest and thus he considered her more of a vegetable. And whilst he was not disinclined to eating vegetation ( as he ate everthing) he much prefered flesh. The second reason being previously mentioned. He was full. But ultimately. He wanted something entirely different with her.
To mate.
And that was the most disturbing of anything that he had ever thought of or encountered. For the first time in his life, he was wanting to mate with something that wasn't a Leviathan. His jaw was dropped not only in awe of the beautiful creature before him. But in shock of the very thought. " For you perhaps, but I find myself in a most strange predicament!". She would probably assume it was all about being naked in front of her. But that would be solved quickly enough.
" What sort of Joor are you that you stir my dead need so?....You are not of the Mul Dovah so why do I feel this urge?.....you confuse me".

Risa continued toward him until the gap between them was really quite close. It was because of this little distance that she could easily notice the stirrings that the man found himself so confused over. She glanced down, then back up at him and could only grin, her plush lips twisting upward ever so gently to do so. "Oh my, seems it was for you too," she said with a little laugh. The current dragged her loose clothing around her and around him, keeping the entire scene strategically censored.
The dragon tongue caught her a little off guard. It had been several decades since she'd heard it, but then it wasn't a common thing around Castle Town, where she'd come to settle down. Her composure remained calm and serene, however, and her grin turned into a pleasant smile as one of her hands raised out of the water to cup his cheek. "You're of the Dov, then," she murmured. She was a little shaky with the dragon tongue, but after eighty seven years of living you tended to pick up a few things.
"Even more of a surprise. Be not confused. I am not a Joor, but rather what you would refer to as a Zii do Brii." That particular title was a bit more familiar to her. "I tend to have that effect," she added, her eyes glancing down just quick enough to indicate what she was talking about. "On most sentient beings, Joor or not." Her words were calming and reassuring, and perhaps just a lot little provocative in her voice.

So this reaction was normal?
He did not understand, nor did he really wish to. Rather he wanted it all to end. This was after all somewhat traumatising for him nevermind for her. Dragons were fearsome terrible creatures in most stories. In others wise and powerful. Yet little did this one know just what kind of dragon she was dealing with. Or the reality of his child like mind. He was after all by comparison to her. Little more than a child despite his size in both human form, and true form.Fully developed, but not yet fully experienced. However he was most pleasantly surprised when he heard her speak of his tongue. This gave him some mild hope that perhaps he was not the only one of his kind that remained.
This hope, like a bright and burning star outshone all the awkwardness around the situation. When she cupped his cheek he moved up, emerging from the water and hugged her. This was how the Goron had done it, so he saw no other way to express his joy. " It is good to hear of my tongue, no others have spoken the words of my people, I had thought them all dead. But surely if you know it then some may still live?". There was a glimmer of hope in the eyes of a dying breed. The kind of hope that shone out when a dying man was told that there was still a slight chance to his survival. He was grasping onto it. And her.
Although after a few moments, the awkwardness moved back in. It seemed getting closer to her made it worse. He consulted the knowing after she had explained what she was. Yet there was nothing there. He did not know of her kind yet she spoke as if he would. But he was unsurprised that his instincts did not tell him what she was. In the sea, when he saw a whale. He knew what it was, even after hatching. It was prey. It was a whale. The same came with most other species. Basic information just about their nutritional values. He did not expect to know of something that lived on land. It was after all half of his reasoning for being here.
" I am indeed of the Dov, this place is most strange to me. I am not used to the land...the water is much more relaxing...but you say to have this effect on more than the Joor?...so is it that you mate with more than just they?".
A quizzical expression crossed his face. Did she have some kind of womb that carried all kinds of eggs?

When he hugged her, Risa was not entirely ready. Not that a nymph was ever caught off guard for such a motion, but rather, she hadn't been expecting it so sudden. Smoothly she moved her hand down to shift certain parts underwater that might poke into her and be uncomfortable, her hand gentle yet swift. With that out of the way, literally, her arms rose and wrapped around him just as his were around her and she returned the hug. Nymphs were affectionate creatures, she had no objection with returning the hug.
The fact that he was still standing after her hand had brushed his cheek said enough about his composure. Yet when he spoke she began to notice a certain sense of youth in his voice. Perhaps he was a child. She was no stranger to this; her and her sister had just appeared one day, after all, fully formed and ready to go. She wasn't sure how it worked for dragons, but the way he spoke it seemed they developed fast, anyway. It was almost adorable for the ageless nymph to see a child like this. Normal children got boring.
"It's been several decades since I've last encountered a Dovah," she said regretfully at his hope. Dragons were notorious for their treasure, and with treasure came the very life she had been looking for ever since she'd been young, a life of luxury and riches. The problem is dragons tend to be a little possessive about their treasure, and while Risa had been spoiled, she'd also been included among the treasure. Risa didn't particularly like belonging to someone else, and that had been that.
"My charms apply to sentience, to the thought process. That's why they even apply to you," she said, looking down to where he was still standing at attention again and giggling a little. "Though I do not mate, I do not bear children unless I so desire, and, well, I've never even felt such a desire," she said nonchalantly."What I do is more . . . take care of the problems I create," she cooed, her hand dipping down underwater again, just to make sure he knew what she was referring to.

She returned his hug, but not before breifly touchingupon that strange stiffness that was between his legs. It was most awkward, and felt oddly good. That alone caused the trauma in such an experience to step up a notch. His body screamed that this was not the way that he was supposed to be feeling for such a thing that should be food. After all, everything was fair game to his people bar their own. And she was not of his own so what else was she? It was then that all thoughts of mating and eating banished from his mind. The hope that had been brought by her words in an instant, dashed. It had been so long since she had last seen one of his kind. Which could well have meant that he very well was the last.
"...That saddens me. I have shouted from the depths fo the oceans. To the edges of the seas and none have heard my Thuum....".
It was of course his simple way of sayinng that he had tried to find other Leviathans. But none had answered his call. Be it that they were all dead, or were simply ignoring his plea. The latter however he doubted heavily. If his kind were rare, they would not be so much concerned about who they mated with so much that they did mate and repopulate the oceans. She then took a moment to explain just why he was being effected by her charms as she called them. They applied to things that were alive and thought, and Leviathan did think. Albiet his thought processes were somewhat limited to several tasks. But mating, just so happened to be on that list, no matter how much buried by the idea of requiring a non existance Leviathan female to do so.
She spoke the words that she did not mate, yet did indicate that she performed the act, meaning that nothing ever came of the mating unless she so desired it. So, there it was. She could mate with many species and bare offspring if she so desired. But this was not her desire. For a brief second Leviathan wondered if she would be able to repopulate his race. Or would they all bare her genetic marker instead of his? Was something like that worth the risk? He could likely overpower her and claim her for his own. But then, such a thing would be non profitable. He would not be making the Mul Dovah as he was. Thus it was pointless to continue that process of thought.
Rather she explained that she took care of problems she brought. This he didn't understand until her hand dipped below again. Yes, that was a problem. And an awkward one.
" Yes, it has never happened before, it is most strange. I imagine it would not be easy to fit in with the Joor if I was to walk around like this. How do I get rid of it?"
The question was asked again, with that child like innocence. Leviathan mating processes were ingrained into his mind. But they were completely alien to the kinds of mating that humans and other species got around to. He had absolutely no idea just what his erection was. Nor what he was supposed to do with it.

Risa couldn't help but feel sadness for the guy. She had never thought on it, but she had never met any other nymphs aside from herself and her sister. But then she did have her sister, and as far as she knew nymphs were simply created when the conditions were right, so it wasn't like she was the last of her race. Yet this poor guy, with his child-like persona, seemed to be the last of his kind. It was true that Risa had not seen a dragon in years, but that didn't necessarily mean they didn't exist. Stories were constantly flowing through the various networks she kept an ear on.
"I'm sorry you're so lonely. That is . . . another problem I tend to fix, though I don't think it'll do much good in your situation. However I would not lose hope. I have heard tales of Dovah in town. I'm not sure if they are true or merely stories people tell, but the fact that there is still mention of them must mean that there are some, right?" she offered along with a pleasant smile. "I would not fret, if I were you, the world is a very wide place and there may be more oceans yet unconnected to yours. Or perhaps there are land dragons still about, that could not hear your thu'um."
It was all really grasping. Risa was a creature of pleasure and joy; she could not stand to see someone so crestfallen as this. It just wasn't in her nature. Though she had to admit his naivety toward her particular . . . art was rather adorable. Her smile was still in place as he commented on his little underwater problem and she giggled again. "Trust me, it's a common problem among men," she said simply, then shook her head. "Normally it's not as noticeable, but where you're not wearing any clothes it kind of sticks out." Literally.
"My name is Risa, by the way. I sort of got tied up with our discussion. Do you have a name yet or are you still that new to the world?" she asked with a tilt of her head.

Was there hope or was she merely trying to make him feel better. This he knew was a distinct possibility. But she had said that she had heard stories, and his kind were hard to miss even if they were land dragons. Although her words were confusing, she fixed the problem of lonliness, was she able to bring back his kind? He thought not. Perhaps she just meant in the sense that she was able to talk of the dragon tongue. He looked at her. Really looked at her. She was a pretender. Those icy cold eyes of his saw past her exterior and into her words, into her nature. Her own instinct. She was a replicant. A copy. She was never truly the real thing. She would mate with other creatures, seduce them so that they would think they were mating with their own. Or give them the sense that they would not care. But nothing cme of the act. There was no purpose to it.
She spoke of the dragon tongue yet was not a dragon, she desired to give companionship. Yet she was not truly capable of easing a lonliness like his. So then, what was she? A recording of a piece of music? A drawing of a flower?
Anddd thats about as complicated as his thoughts got before he was lulled back into his own interests. " Perhaps you are right, however I am not even sure if I can mate with the land dragons, such a thing would be strange". There was a question in that, would mating with another one of the dragons, albiet of a different kind produce a Leviathan? It was possible. They were after all more like him that this creature in front of him, or indeed any Joor he had met thus far in his travels. And then came words about his problem. Common among Joor Males. He thought that it must infuriate them to no end. But then their clothes dd cover such things. Perhaps that was the real purpose of them. To hide the shame of such a thing.
And then she asked his name, giving hers. He would remember it, just as he did the one Joor l whose name he knew. Drogan. " My kind, we are given our names by those around us....since there were none to name me, I took the name that the Joor gave me". He placed a hand down by his side. The other one touching his chin.
" My name is Leviathan"

Risa couldn't help the wave of pity. It was clear being the last of his kind really bugged the poor soul, and there really wasn't much she could do to stem that loneliness. Her practices weren't even close to this sort of existential loneliness, she most often cured men of a different, much more obvious loneliness, as she referred to it. Married or not, most men had desires that could not be satiated and found themselves locking them away; stuck inside themselves, away from the world. Risa often helped release those base desires.
But Leviathan, as he was called, was so alone he wasn't even granted a name. Surely he must've come from somewhere, but then Risa didn't really know what the incubation period on a dragon egg was, especially, as it seemed, a water dragon. His parents could've died off before he was even born. Unless dragon eggs were formed much like she had been, in that they came into being. However his desire to mate told her otherwise. She really sure if he was a match for her rather versatile womb, not that she'd want to bear a child anyway.
"You poor thing, I cannot imagine how that must feel. Would you like a name? I may not be a Dovah but I can help you find a name for yourself. Especially among the Jul, who are rather fond of names." She kept using the dragon tongue almost out of habit. She was a creature of seduction, and seduction required adapting to each new target, even if she wasn't trying it. He was a dragon and the tongue seemed to strike home with him, automatically implying closeness.

Nwo this was a strange point to him, he had just told her that his name was Leviathan and yet now she thought that he had no real name to spak of. Maybe that wasnt it. Maybe it was the idea that Leviathan just wasn't a very good name for him to have. Well she spoke the langauge of dragons, perhaps she was right. Perhaps a name given by the Jul like Leviathan was not one to suit him after all. It oul be viewed as weak perhaps among his own kind if they were here to have been named by the Jul.
That and some others among the Jul had ran away when he had first spoken his name to them. or just out right laughed at him. He didn't really like that. Liked it about as much as his current situation with the annoying throbbing. Thing. Whatever it was. Perhaps it would be good to have a name that the Jul could use for him within his human form. It would help with the blending in part.
" It would probably help with my blending in....so yes...If you could find me a suitable name then by all means do so"
Leviathan guessed that it would probably be better to have a name worn given to him by another monster than by those of the Jul. Still the name Leviathan would probably be one that he'd be best knonwn by among their kind if only for his outer appearance in his true form. Yet there was something special to this moment right now. A naming. He couldn't help but wear an excited smile at the prospect of it all.

There was something endearing about the excited smile that lit up his face, the eagerness in his eyes. He was like a child, his age, as Risa had speculated, showing through the mask his fully grown body offered. But then she knew that numbers didn't count. She herself was eighty seven or so, but still passed for a young adult, while he was quite young and could pass for someone older than her. Time and age were systems created by the humans to give their presence in the world significance, mostly, and didn't apply to beings such as themselves.
She thought on a possible name for her new friend. Leviathan was the name applied to him, straight out of lore. Humans gave it to him because of what he was, not who he was. It was not overly fitting. There was a proper name for him somewhere, she just needed to find it. Her first inclinations were easily dismissed. She was a creature of nature, of the forest, and so that was where she went first. But that did not fit him either. It needed to speak of the endless depths of the ocean that he called home.
Her emerald eyes looked into his pale blue ones, searching for the right name. They might go through several suggestions before he settled on one, but she wanted each one to be thoughtful. "It's hard to say. I am not a Dovah so I could not name you as one. Nor am I a a Jul, though I am more familiar with their customs. Let me suggest one now and you can tell me if you like it. How about Hobbes?" She wasn't entirely sure where the name came from, but then that could be said of any name. She didn't even know where her name had come from, and the person who had chosen it was dead for half a century now.

Well he had no idea what sort of name that she was going to give him but when she said those words the first thing that the child minded dragon thought about was....tiny gremlin creatures that ate people they saw alive. No idea just why that’s what he thought. But the idea of creatures with such hungers made them awfully akin to him. So he supposed that if the name made him think about things eating the Jul then clearly it was a name that suited. So he determined that this name, Hobbes was the one he would take upon himself when walking among teh Joor. It would be another useful mask whenever they asked. As Risa had previously pointed out they were rather fond of their little naming process. Perhaps it was part of that fear of the unknown. He didn;t quite know. They were fragile little things.
With that done and taken care of Leviathan dropped his body back down moving into the water once again, it was rather cold within the water but that was not something that particularly bothered him as it was cold within most oceans, especially in the dark depths. The feeling of water enveloping his body was something that was most enjoyable. Almost more so than eating. One can aliken it to a starving man eating a cracketr. It may be considered common but to that man, deprived of thus for so long. It would seem like the most delicious meal in the world.
“ This name is most suitable. Hobbes it is”.
Entering a more relaxed state in himself now with the Nymph he began to indulge some of his curious quirks. “ So tell me Risa, what is one such as yourself doing among the Jul?...Surely there is no beauty to be found among them?....All I have seen is stench and meat....they are little different o the animals they look down upon....worse.. in some cases..”.
