Perchance to dream (Kotone)

Kotone was pulled off away from the comfort of her book to an area where they have not reach yet. She looked at him oddly as he started to tell her to be careful and all which she already knew that. However spiritual? She did not know what he meant by that until he explain poes. Why did she have to worry about the dead? Sure they were a pain to keep out of rooms and all or buildings or even the temples. Sure they were noisy and all but there was nothing wrong with them. "I'm sorry.. but I don't get it... why bring this up?" She asked him confused.

Kotone back off from Merik as she looked at him as he said witches. "I do not approve that! Those... Those things. No!" She said as she waved her hand declining that. "I don't care for those things as they are pure evil! Every text I ever gone threw state the horrors they bring and the fact the ... event form long past might been caused by one of those fools" She said meaning the illness that made lost of live lost. She put her hand to her chest as she looked away. "I understand we are in need of magic if you really think we need to protect ourselves in that way but not with them. It will only increase the hate with us and the Hylain people" She said as she still wanted peace.

"We ignore the Poes and just wait for them to get bored and go away, therefore they could serve as the perfect spies if Elohim ever grew a brain cell and decided to use them correctly." Merik said calmly before she snapped at the mention of the of witches. "Kotone listen to yourself and try to think rationally about what it is that you're saying."

He paused and took a deep breath as he let his anger slip back down once more. He had been aware of his sister's dislike for witches ever since the plague that had struck the desert but he had never expected that it had reached the level that it clearly had. Once he was certain that both of them had calmed a bit he spoke once more.

"To start with not all witches are 'pure evil' anymore than the Gerudo are; there are good witches, there are evil witches just like everything else. As the plague was magical in nature it is possible that it was caused by a witch or any of the other thousands of people in the world that are able to utilize magic, but I'll remind you that the plague was cured by a witch. And these witches are our fellow Gerudo, they chose to study magic instead of martial skills but they are Gerudo nonetheless. Grandfather was probably the greatest sorcerer in the history of Hyrule and had mother lived I would have followed in his footsteps, would you show such hatred to me were I a sorcerer?" he paused for a second to let his words sink in before adding. "You can't turn away from some of our people because they don't walk the same path you do."

Her final comment about the hatred between the Gerudo and the Hylians brought a brief snap of anger from him and for just the barest second his form flickered from how she knew him to how he was now: the long, twisted burn crossing his throat before disappearing again.

"Call me crazy... he stopped and focused once more, his voice normalizing when he spoke again. Sorry...I find it a little hard to give a damn about what the Hylians think of us lately, but its probably illogical."

Kotone was starting to see the poe thing but still witches? That just made Kotone have a sick feeling in her belly. "But I'm... I read many of books, scrolls and other things to know that witches ar-" She stop as Merik was getting a bit upset. She sighed as she listen to him explain witches to her. Which was true she never really meet one before but she was sure the so called priestess that talk with might of been some. Of course she had no proof of that but still. "...N-no..." She said putting her head down. No she would not hate Merik even if he used magic.

"It just does not set well with me... If our people can use magic then why are they called witches?" She said as she open her mouth to say something else but something happen. Something flashed cross his throat as Kotone froze in fear as the little voice she heard scared her. She had never been scared of Merik before even when he got super mad at her and threw punches that would knock her cross the room.

Kotone tried to open her mouth but she could not. What to say after that happen. It like she went mute in her dream, fear struck. Even thought she knew Hylain did wrong with their tribe Kotone always wanted to have peace. However she don't know if they can anymore with the war or seem to be war coming up on them. She only nodded to him as her eyes looked away from him.
