It was really fucking annoying, how much this wannabe superhero was surprising him, doing things he didn't expect. Really. What kind of insane son of a bitch rushes in and punches someone in the head?
This blue insane son of a bitch, apparently.
So now, lying on the ground, dazed and bloody and with his face probably rearranged, Finn wasn't better. Not in the slightest. If anything, having his nose broken and an eye blacked out and his jaw slightly misaligned just made him angrier.
No friggin' way, man. Why on earth would that make anyone angry.
But wait, there's more! To top that delightful little sundae of rage off, Kenyon went ahead and kidnapped Maytag. Kidnapped her. Not that he really cared what happened to the girl. That would just be utterly ridiculous. But goddamnit, he wanted her. And what Finn wanted, Finn took -- and he didn't respond well to other people taking what he wanted first.
"You have got to be fucking kidding me," he snarled, pushing himself up off the ground, ignoring the wet dirt that clung to his back. He slammed his knife back into its sheath and placed his now-free hands on either side of his nose; with a sharp snap, the broken bone was aligned with the rest of his face, with only a not-so-dull pain telling him that it had ever happened. He could feel the tender beginnings of a bruise around his eye as well, but he didn't care. Kenyon had what Finn wanted, and he wasn't about to let the blue asshole get away with that. The orders to return? Completely forgotten. He didn't even care about that anymore. He just wanted the girl's feet back on the fucking ground.
He didn't know why, but he did. He had a feeling, a faint ghost of an idea, but nothing that really made sense. It didn't make sense that he just wanted her safe. Maybe safe so he could have her, yeah. That was reasonable.
Again, he flickered. Just a moment of an utter lack of rage, and then it was gone. And again, it was enough.
"Put her down, Kenyon," he warned, stepping closer to the boy -- what else could he be, even if they were the same age -- and the girl. "This is between us, asshole. She has nothing to do with it. Nothing."
No, Finn didn't care about her. Not one bit.

What was going on? Maytag couldn't even tell anymore. Her vision was blurred severely by the excessive crying she's done. Her senses were dulled by the panic attack that she couldn't recall if she was still in reality. She couldn't even feel the weight on her feet as her mind went into a small limbo. All of what she knew shattered right in the blink of an eye. It was hard to tell if she was still alive or not~
For as long as she's lived on this earth, she was highly susceptible to change, and brought down a lot of stress on her body. After being alone for a long time, she finally found someone she wanted to be with, someone who could just pass the time sitting next to each other. Someone to laugh with, awkwardly share a few jokes that weren't even that funny, but they'd still laugh at them.
Someone to care for, and vice versa.
Did it all come down to nothing? Goddesses, she didn't want to think about that! She wanted Finn back. That was all that mattered to the poor girl. Even though he was capable of pretty much ripping her heart out at that very instant, she would rather have that pain than to feel her innards being ripped apart simply by watching the boys fight.
She remained lifeless, and limp. Unresponsive to Jimmy's words, and simply just laid like a doll in his hands. Neither of the boys could hear, but she was speaking, murmuring almost inaudibly. "Finn... Help me! I don't want to be here anymore. Help me. Help me, Finn... Finn! Finn! Finn! Finn!" Her words were spoke so fast that it almost sounded like she was saying one incredibly long word. It was funny what people succumbed to when they've gone mad.
When her mind couldn't take anymore it just... shut down. Along with the rest of her body. Maytag completely passed out from severe stress. A helpless captive in the blue soldier's arms.

Luckily Jimmy knew exactly what he was doing when he landed that hook to Finn's head. If it were any other average joe that punch would have killed them or left them with a severe concussion for the rest of their life. It was a good thing that he knew Finn could handle such a hit, and get back up from the blow that Jimmy purposely knocked him down. Sometimes the superhero didn't his own strength. If he could he would let out an manly squeal of how much fun he was having right about now! His professionalism got the better of him, what, with a girl in his arms and one pissed off bear minish on his tail. He peered down at the girl who showed no signs of protest, or physical resistance. Boy, Finny-boy must have scared the shit out of her she passed out. "You're wrong," he smiled right back up to his military mate. "The moment you threatened her life, you made her apart of this business. I can't allow you to cause physical harm to innocent lives. Look at what you did, you scared her so much she passed out."Jimmy noticed the ever slightest flicker of sanity he knew the boy in green had. His ever present smile kept him in control of the situation at hand. Unfazed, not intimidated, and most important unbent to the will of others, including this side of Finn. "Think about it. Do you honestly think she'd want to go back to you after you've pulled this stunt? I sure as hell know I wouldn't." Before it's even brought up, yes, he would turn the girl's intents around for his own devices. Jimmy was the type who agreed with the concept of equivalent exchange. To obtain what he wanted, something of equal value must be given. In this sense he was going to take Maytag out of getting potentially killed. Not to mention she was perfect catalyst to get to Finn. He flashed him a departing smile, one filled with yearning, and remorse that he had to leave his amazing but scary 'friend'. "Here's the question of the day: Do you really not care about this girl? If you didn't then why do you have a ramrod up your ass trying to get her back?" Oh yeah, Jimmy went there. "Look for me when you have the answer, Finny-boy! See you later."Jimmy fled. E X I T

He scared her that much? The thought made him pull up, flickering again. He didn't even know that was possible, terrifying someone so much that they passed out. But then, this was May they were talking about. With her, anything was possible.
Not that he cared. It was just interesting, that was all. He'd never frightened someone unconscious before. He would just... look more into it. Yeah.
God, Kenyon's smile was annoying. Didn't he ever stop? It made Finn think that he was some kind of lunatic or something-- oh, right. He was a lunatic. Crazy bastard didn't know when to quit, never had.
And then he hit a sore spot, one that Finn didn't even know he had. The flickers grew more frequent, his rage gradually dying down as he considered the human's words.
Do you honestly think she'd want to go back to you?
He didn't say anything. There was nothing to say. If she wanted to or not, she was his. Maybe she hadn't been before, but she was now... especially since Kenyon kidnapped her. The jackass was strong. What if he broke her?
You would break her more, stupid bear.
Maybe he would. Not physically, but mentally. Emotionally. More than she was already broken. Not that he cared. If he wanted to break her, he would.
Do you really not care about this girl? No. No he didn't. He didn't fucking care about her at all.
Then why do you have a ramrod up your ass trying to get her back? Because she was his, fucking asswipe. He didn't know why he was so possessive, he didn't care. May was his, and he wanted her away from Kenyon.
And then they were gone, and Finn was himself. Almost.
He slumped to the ground, running a hand through his hair, belatedly realizing that his cover had fallen off at some point during the fight. Finn didn't really care about that, either. All he could think of was May, limp in Kenyon's arms. And Kenyon, his smile, how it changed in that one instant. How so full of longing it looked. It scared him.
Do you really not care about this girl?
He cared about her. It was Maytag, of course he cared about her.
Think about it. Do you honestly think she'd want to go back to you after you've pulled this stunt? I sure as hell know I wouldn't.
Finn wouldn't, either. Who would want to be with a monster like him? It was disgusting, how he acted. How he attacked Kenyon, how he threatened May. How he didn't care about what he did.
He pulled his legs in to his chest, resting his forehead against his knees. His hands tangled in his hair, wet and dirty and cold.
He was a monster.
And he remembered everything.
