Make it Urgent (Finished)

[ruma]

The moment her distress call from Merik concluded she was off like a laser, straight to the Gerudo fortress to relay the sad news to Kotone. This was not going to be an easy conversation.

When she finally made it back to the fortress, she felt like she was going to fall over in pain. Her legs felt like jelly and she took a swig of water so she could speak.

"Kotone. Get....Kotone." She then proceeded to vomit up her previous meal in her body's attempt to stabilize itself. Not the most pleasant experiences, but it did make her feel a bit better. She took a seat on the bench inside the walls and tried to regain her breath.

[Kotone]

Kotone was awoken as she was walking out and down the hall in the night gown. It was a long black gown but she was holding on to a pillow in her arms as she walked down the hall. They was saying that her sister wanted to talk to her. She did not understand why this could not wait until she got dress or fully woke up. Sure it was not late at night no she was going to the night shift tonight that why she was sleeping in the day. She let out a yawn as she looked at her sister throwing up and trying to catch her breath.

The Gerudo around where fanning her and trying to clean up the throw up and get her something cold to drink. Kotone sign with one hand asking what going on and why is Ruma like that. More like asking if she was sick or something. The other did not seem to know so she waited for her sister to talk or speak up.

[ruma]

By the time Kotone had arrived Ruma was feeling considerably better. She was well-hydrated again and the rest was doing her well.

"Leave us, please. I wish to speak to my sister in private."

"Of course, milady" The guards began to file out of the room and Ruma looked up at Kotone, evidence of her previous crying still evident in her eyes.

"It's Merik. I just got a message, there was an assassination attempt. He's still alive, but it sounded pretty bad. He contacted me via the stone and said something about Zenethil and his whore daughter. She quickly got up and pulled Kotone in for a tight hug. Despite knowing he as in the hands of a capable healer, she still had to be worried about him. They were like brother and sister after all. She would say more, but having been out and about more often in Merik's absence, she now knew Kotone's issues with Titania. It was amazing how much she learned from leaving her room for once.

[Kotone]

Kotone gave off another yawns as she rubs her eyes as the guards left. She was still trying to wake up all the way to hear her sister talk. However at lest she was looking better. With Merik away Ruma was the only close family she had here. Not that the other Gerudo women are not like her sisters but Ruma was much more then a normal gerudo bond but a family bond from what they went threw growing up together.

Her eyes open up full awake as if someone pour ice cold water on her. Her mouth open as if saying what thought nothing came out. She barely heard the last part as her sister grab hold of her in a hug. Kotone was spacing out as her chest started to hurt like a stabbing pain and she felt rather dizzy as her legs were acting like they were not there anymore.

She did not understand of how this could happen. Merik was going out trying to find a power to protect his tribe. He took a Gerudo girl who was post to learn their ways and train in the daggers with Merik. So he was protected.... Wait. Ruma said Zenethil and his whore daughter.

A trap.

It was a trap by Zenethil and she did not see it. How could she not see it in the girls eyes at the fest? She was post to be Merik's guard, Adviser, and Queen. No she can't... or she did. It was all so confusing for Kotone at this time. Her breath soften as she was blacking out in her sister's embrace.

Ruma gave her sister a couple of loving pats on her back knowing that taking in all of this was going to be tough on her. Which made it all the more difficult to tell her the next bit of information she had to give her poor sister.

"He managed to escape death, and he's heading to Faron Province. He's going to get help from the fairies. They're reliable healers. He also knew you weren't going to be happy with the decision, but he asks you to trust him, and to act rashly. The times ahead of us will be tough, for everyone." Ruma looked her sister in the eye and smiled.

"The Gerudo people, they know you, they like you. They need you to be strong until brother returns. I need you to be strong. And do not, under any circumstances, let this get out." Ruma had a difficult time maturing very quickly, and now it was showing. She didn't have the intestinal fortitude to be strong, she was the brains of the group, not the leader people could rally around.

[Kotone]

There felt so cold in her as her skin was burning up as she heard her sister talking but a buzzing sound was along with it. She was seeing darkness from blacking out or on the edge of it now. She push away form her as she fell to the ground. She lay back on her back as she let the cool floor clam her body. She closed her eyes and started to think as she was glad that Merik was alive and the fairy was taking care of him. Of course she did not care for the bug but at this moment she did not care. Merik was hope for their tribe for getting out of the path put for them.

She slowly sat up as she still hang on to the pillow in her arms. She let out a sigh then put her head on the pillow as she broth her legs up to her body thinking. They be looking for Merik and not only him but his people too. It seems she might have to ask for T.R. for a little help here. They have to get their people out of her but not o fast to draw eyes on them. The pirate Fort will do until things die down a bit but it seem like a war will come.

Nightmare... Was this part of his plan? What was his plan? Why their people?

Was it the Nairore plan? Was it all a trap from the beginning?

Many question ran threw her mind all she know she can't truths the people of the lands anymore. Their people were already cursed why do they need to have this much hardship place on them? She did not understand people out there even the one called Mr. Green. Funny guy that did not understand dressing up. Well back to the main thought something needed to be done. Kotone open her eyes after thinking and looked at her sister as she sign to her.

She sign to her saying she need to set traps all over the fort. Deadly ones even worst one then the ones at the training hall. Replace all wooden doors with stone or metal with locks. We leaving the fort and going to the pirate island. I fear War is on us and we need to leave before the troops come here. T.R. won't like us coming in but we have no choice. We send group of gerudo each day to the fort with food and water and weapons... all our weapons.

She kept signing as she slowly got up as she drop her pillow. Kotone show a little lump on her as she went on signing to her sister. Even thought we our leaving does not mean we give up. However we don't need to be attacked by Hylain troops or humans or even nightmare. she sign the nightmare knowing their fears and his betray to the people of the sand. They all knew he was power hungry but there was no way Kotone was going to a Monster for help.

Ruma hadn't been playing the war games very long, but she knew of a few simulations and scenarios that might help out for this moment in time. Couldn't be the brains of an operations without knowing a few things.

"We can discuss this in further detail later, but I disagree with your plan. We cannot drive our people to panic. Things need to remain normal here, at least for the moment. First, we need to finish with the pipes. The project is only a few days away from being finished. We have to at least finish that. Second, I think it's about time I showed you something, something no one else knows about. Come with me." In all her life Ruma had never felt so mature and in control. Inside she was freaking out like no other, but she maintained an air of composure better than ever. She helped Kotone get up and began to lead her through the fortress.

"Remember, until the time is right, this is just between us. Everything that happened here today was just two sisters talking."

[Kotone]

Maybe Kotone was in a panic or it was confusion talking to her she did not know. She mind was being thrown in different ways. She never been this way before and it all came at once. She never once felt this way before not even when her mother die before her or when she lost her voice. No she never felt this trouble before and yet her sister seem to be more calm or rather level headed then she was. She lean on the sister as she did not know what to or say anymore.

It seem Ruma disapprove her plan. So what now? Just act like everything normal? Heir king almost die on them and a war was coming to them. She did not know what to do. Even more she had other thoughts in her head and she did not know if she should speak her mind or keep it quite. She rubs her head a bit as she felt a lump in her throat as it was hard and her eye felt heated a bit. No she can't break down she have to stay strong and think threw this.

Wait.... pipes? She did not understand her sister was working on pipes? She thought was post to be a Air ship not a pipe. She did not understand anymore. Her mind was mixing everything up so she kept quite and follow along with her sister.

As Ruma lead her sister, their destination was Ruma's room, a mess as always. The airship project was on hold until Merik's pipe project was complete. Luckily the pipe project gave her plenty of excess scrap metal, but she had Dagorn to thank for that.

"You'll be the first to see this, besides myself." Once inside her room, she began to feel against her rear wall, not far from her bed.

"Good, everything is still in place." He then turned to a crank seemingly placed against her nearby workbench. A few turns revealed a false back against her wall, sliding away to reveal a dimly lit cavern. She motioned for Kotone to enter a place where Ruma went to keep her most prized creations, most of which were still experimental. It was a medium-sized hole in the mountainside, able to hold at least 20 gerudo comfortably, and more in times of crisis.

"Welcome to my lab."

[Kotone]

Kotone sat down a bit as she looked around Her sister room a bit. It was still a mess like normal. Nothing really change at all because some of the stuff looked different but it was still junk in Kotone's eyes. She watch her sister do something but really not looking at what. She figure it was something she would not understand anyhow. Her and tech was not the best of friends. to her it did not have a nice sound or a up beat sound. No there was no sound to tech for Kotone to listen to it was all cold and still.

She blinks as something happen as the wall moved and made Kotone jump out of her seat and looked at her sister startle like. Well this was a shock she thought her sister lab was... well far from here that way nothing would. You know blow up? But it seem she was wrong about that. Even more so she seem to misjudge the area or how big the lab was as she looked around.

[ruma]

Ruma needed easy access to the lab. Besides, only the most destructive of explosions would even touch the fortress. Hence the high ceiling as well.

"We can move here in the event of an attack. The narrow corridor is perfect for our superior martial skills. And if that fails, there's always this." She unveiled her greatest creation yet, it appeared to be a motion device akin to an exercise bike. At the front was a cone-shaped funnel. Ruma got on and began to pedal, and the machine roared to life. Making sure Kotone was out of range, Ruma began to ignite the short end of the funnel, causing the machine to spew a powerful flame blast towards the entrance, stopping when Ruma stopped giving it fire.

"See? I set it up this way to protect the lab from any intruders. Originally I had it shooting against the wall just for tests, but since I'm starting to learn how much people don't like us from the festival I oriented it to be a defensive mechanism. Thing is it's damn heavy and cumbersome, I don't know if I can use it outside of here." Its size made it too big to simply carry out through the narrow corridor to get to the lab.

[Kotone]

Once more Kotone was startle at what she seen as her sister did it. All doubts about trying to run and hide disappear. They can stay here when times of war start and still protect their lands. The odd tech that Ruma made will do great to save their people. She watched in aww as the fire filled the tunnel as Ruma in a since did magic with tech. Either way Ruma was thinking clearly unlike her. She smiled as she rub her head as all the thought of running away had clear her mind now.

She went to signing to her sister once more. This is great Ruma a prefect place and know one would know it. We can stand and fight and live on. I don't know what I was thinking. She sighed as she was putting herself down a bit. She went over to her sister and gave her a hug a long hug.

[ruma]

Ruma embraced her sister right back, glad that everything could remain as it was. The Gerudo were a die-hard race, and even their scrawnier members, Ruma one of the biggest offenders, was more than capable of putting up a fight.

"Don't worry about it sis. I kept it a secret for a reason. Remember, all of this is just between us. Merik, the lab, everything. But I've been away from the field too long. I need to make sure the last of the pipes are ready to go." She ushered Kotone out of the lab before sealing it again with the crank once they were both inside Ruma's bedroom.

These next few weeks would prove to be very interesting.

[Kotone]

Kotone nods to her sister was she was so happy. However that was only if thing turn out bad she still had her part to do and her part was to train the gerudo women. She would have to push them a bit more. They have to get ready for anything that come their way and since most she knew had magic. She have to get them ready for that. Of course it was going to get hard as it been harder for her to stay on her feet longer now but she knew not to push herself to much.

She waves to her sister as she left the room as there was so much stuff to do. It might be another month before Merik comes home but he be coming home. Then they can go on vacation and get this silly matter out of the way. Peace be around once more... she hopes.

As Kotone left the room, Ruma took a seat on the bed and waved good-bye. Removing her helmet, she was alone now, and could finally do what she had been meaning to do throughout their meeting.

She cried.

With no one around, she was finally able to let out her emotions. That was what was important now. It just needed to all be let out, and it felt refreshing. Eventually her crying gave way to slumber, and then she could go back out to the desert, finish her brother's project.
