First the Troll, calling him to the oasis. Now, to the Grove he has come to find Titania, a friend he made back in Castle Town during an array of controversies. It was, to say the least, a most unpleasant situation.
"Hmph."
Shavir crossed his arms, leaning against the tree. While he was in quite the hurry, he left his Dragon form behind when he got close to the forest, to avoid any trouble. The Grove was a quiet, serene, peaceful place. He enjoyed it.

Titania was informed of the outsider. She was always informed of the outsiders. As the guards described the traveler to her, she could only nod. Only one fit the description.
Approaching his tree of choice, Titania realized her formal dress was considerably different from the way he first met her. Oh well.
"Shavir. I trust no one followed you here. I'd hate to have to clean up blood in my grove." She nodded to him, a sign of respect in an informal way. Judging by the lack of commotion, he arrived in human form. Phew.

Shavir looked up, removing his weight from the tree as Titania approached. "No- I was not followed." He stood, staring at the female queen for several moments before glancing around.
"No one is listening? We are alone? This is...big, and I won't be around long. I need a couple of favors." He wasn't explaining himself clearly, he knew, but the situation was going to take awhile to explain.

His words worried Titania. She appeared confused for a moment while he explained how he needed favors. She glanced around, checking around for little watchful fairies trying to get a glimpse of her or an ear into the conversation. They were alone.
"Yeah, we're alone. Talk to me." She kept her gaze firmly on him. Her intuition knew this wasn't going to be good.
"Just know that I'm not killing anyone. You know me well enough that I'm not a fan of violence."

"No, the killing will be taken care of, I assure you. My time on this world is short- for the better good of my people. Keep your lips sealed, this conversation does not leave this grove." He looked at her, a small plume of fiery smoke shifting from his nose to show his seriousness. He was in, that was definite.
"Nightmare is not the emperor for long- his rule is coming to an end, but not by me. For the better of my people, his rule must end. Support this when the time comes, through the court." That was favor number one.
Favor number two was a much more....personal matter.

Well, that was certainly interesting. So there was a plot against Nightmare. Well she didn't appreciate him spreading rumors, but that did seem to come out of left field. Serious business indeed, no wonder he wished for privacy.
"If the Ainur are dissatisfied with the emperor that's fine. Do what you will so long as the fighting does spill into my grove. However, I get the feeling there's more to this then a simple changing of the guard." Her arms folded, expecting more to come from him.

He sighed, the stress of the situation overwhelming his mental state. He figured a full explanation of the situation was at hand. "The generation to follow us- I wish for them to be held with equality in Hyrule...." He paused, reaching into his pocket and pulling a small portrait out. Tracing his fingers over the young females face, his hardened demeanor faded. "No more should we have to hide ourselves in a human form, afraid to show our true nature for fear of being killed." Nightmare was not doing anything to change this, and Shavir did not think he would. He was a self rewarding leader, not striving for his people.
"The first step to a new Ainur leader is to place him in the ranks as a Dreadnought. Our culture requires us to be killed by our predecessor." The point was hopefully made. He did not wish the words to truly leave his mouth, that in order to start a revolution for the salvation of the next generation was for him to be killed by their new possible leader.
"Have you ever had a love for one so great, so powerful, that you would not think twice about standing against the Goddesses themselves to give them a better life?"

Titania gave him a look of skepticism. "A noble ideal, Shavir, but one that is ultimately futile. You cannot change people's perception of you. I look at you and I know that you're not a dangerous individual that kills for sport, but in your true form you are seen as a menace. It's human nature. However, it would be refreshing to see someone try and take steps to change that, however futile I may think it."
She knew of the Ainur tradition of transfer of power. The objective would be to kill Nightmare Darklight in time. What bothered her was his question, a matter of love. A concept she still wasn't very good at. And that portrait, a strange change for Shavir. Clearly someone who mattered deeply to him. Interestingly it was her pious side that was let out right there.
"The goddesses do not stand in the way of love, if the goddesses stood in the way then you would not possess such devotion. Though I understand what you are saying, and I do not think I currently possess that level of devotion."

"Heh..." He extended his hand holding the portrait out to her, so she could see. Upon it was a young woman in her late teens. She had long dark hair, and was a true beauty.
"Your right. The attempt may be nothing more than a meaningless event scraped under the history books. But if there is a chance, however small it may be, I owe it to her to try and change this world." His voice remained calm, a hint of sorrow deep within.
"Her mother died during childbirth. I left her to some old friends in Castle Town, and I would visit her on a regular bases, or we would meet somewhere. I just got so caught up with my life, I haven't seen her at all for several months. I can't go now, either. No one, not even Nightmare knows of her." He had kept her away from all the enemies he had made, allies he had forged, and ultimately problems he devoted himself to.

Titania studied the face. She was beautiful, for certain. But his information was broad, vague. It told the queen very little.
"Who is she? And why tell me this? I don't involve myself with Ainur politics. I understand that you're organizing a changing of the guard but I don't see how bringing this to my attention is going to help your cause. The fairies, we don't involve ourselves in matters concerning these things. We, mostly at my request, try to keep things neutral. We are a safe haven." Sorrow began to fill her voice as she went on about her people. A realization began to dawn on her that whatever was about to happen, it wasn't going to be pleasant.

He sighed once more, listening to her words. He understood her point in cause, but she was his only friend outside of the Ainur, and her only safeguard. "I have to die to set this plan into motion- its the only way. Your my only friend outside of the Ainur...." He paused, bringing the picture back into his pocket.
"She is my daughter. I can't leave this world knowing that she is alone. She needs someone to look after her. I'm not asking you to become her parent, only to offer her aid if she needs it." He knew he was asking quite a bit. It wouldn't be like Titania would have a daughter, simply that she would a Godmother to the girl. She had no one left in this world except Shavir. "I haven't been there for her when she has needed me most. Its time for me to make a sacrifice, for her." As Titania realized things of the situation, Shavir came to realize things of himself, and the Fairy was likely to see the same thing. He wasn't doing this for his people, not like Eliam. Shavir was doing this for his daughter, in hopes that she can live in a day and age with no prejudice.

When he brought up the situation in full, it took Titania a fair amount of willpower to hold back tears. So that was what was going on. Without thinking she pulled Shavir into a hug and held on tightly.
"Is...is she like yourself?" This could not have been easy for Shavir, especially since he seemed to be ready to pay the ultimate sacrifice. Hopefully that wouldn't be necessary.
"You're a strong man, Shavir. I'm sure you'll find a way to survive. But, should the worst come to pass, I will make sure she'll be ok. You have my word."

Shavir chuckled slightly, wrapping an arm around the Queen. He could only try and make light of the situation, but of course that never worked out like he planned. "Her mother was Gerudo, and a Gerudo's blood is very dominating. Nevertheless, she is ." For Shavir, her dragon and human appearance came as true beauty.
"I cannot thank you enough." He untied the Shamshir around his waist, and leaned it against the wall. "I'm leaving this to her."

Titania released the hug and received the weapon from Shavir. She looked it over, admiring the craftsmanship, it was quite the sword.
"No need to thank me. I'll be sure to get this to her." So she was of Gerudo blood, but she had her father's ainur blood as well.
"I guess this means there's no turning back. I won't meddle in your affairs more than I have to, but I can't help but feel skeptical that this is the only way. Then again, I've spent most of my life so far from death that it's still a dirty concept."

"This is the last time I'll see you, Titania." He nodded, turning his back and beginning his walk out of the woods. He didn't want to disturb the peace, so he would wait until he was far from the woods before taking his dragon form. He was in no hurry to get to his death, but he had to do it. He had lived a short life for a dragon, but it was long enough to bring a beautiful girl into this world, and establish her future.
The sun rises, and the sun sets. Day by day, life goes on. Its only the people who never sleep, who never rest, that see the dark side of the moon.
