Then the future was the present.
Nairore's heart was in her throat as she walked through the streets of Castle Town. The cowl of the cloak she wore, hood drawn, could not be low enough as she passed familiar locations. Merik had wisely thought it best she hide her current appearance for as long as possible, lest a Knight see her and report back to her father. She still felt as though every eye was recognizing her, and every eye was scrutinizing her multi-colored eyes. The red roots could be explained, as Nairore had always been horrible at dying her own hair. The eyes were a different story. The eyes don't lie.
The presence of Naurlambe on her back was at least somewhat comforting. However with the cloak draped over the weapon she would have trouble drawing it quickly. But her signature weapon would be quite noticeable; the craftsmanship had always been a little envied among the Knights. Her father had spared no expense in the weapon's design. It was an immediate marker of who she was. Nairore couldn't afford the weapon to be seen, even at the cost of the defense it would offer.
The steady pumping of her blood through her ears was a drum beat that timed her quick steps. She was a fighter, a warrior, not a rogue. Stealthy undercover missions were never her thing. She'd always been much better with a sword than with cloak and dagger. That fact just made this situation all the harder for her. The slightest sounds were Knights waiting to jump her, every person was a spy waiting for her to pass by to run off and tell someone. She had no reason to worry so much, though. There was no reason for her father to have such an elaborate network on the lookout for her.
She navigated the familiar streets and passed her old haunts, growing closer and closer to her house near the castle. Lori would be somewhere around it. She rarely went too far, at least not when Nairore had last seen her. Over two months ago. It seemed like so much longer. The thought triggered a random wave of nausea which she quickly fought back, not even slowing her stride. That was another issue, it didn't need to get intertwined with the current ones. At least she had a friend somewhere in the city. Merik was about, in disguise, or at least she hoped.
It was a fateful day. A day where things were going to change for better or for worse.

Lorina was absently tugging at the massive mess her expansive length of hair had become. She had intended to color it a vibrant red, but for some reason it had not mixed well with her natural blond hair. Now she sported a light shade of pink, and she was actually enjoying the odd color. It was different, and Lorina had always enjoyed being slightly different. Whether for her previous insanity, or now because her entire mentality had been shifted recently. There was also the fact her appearance had grown out over the past two months, which had been a pleasant surprise. The attention of the Knights had always bothered her before, but now she enjoyed teasing them to a slight degree. If only one would pay some attention to her, and she pouted slightly at the thought. Leaning forward, Lorina rested upon her stomach on the branch she was currently inhabiting. Said Knight was currently with her, but not just to keep her company, and it was a little irritating.
Never had the following of Knights Nairore held bothered her, and she had even worried over her sister about it. The attention of males never paid well in the end, but the one she held affection for was clearly in love and obsessed with her older sister. The fact that Nairore had clearly stated her disdain for him through words and fists had never gotten through to him. A soft sigh escaped her lips, and she knew she could never be mad at her sister. She was the most important person to Lorina, and her upcoming arrival had her so excited. The same could be said for Leon, who had all but begged to wait with her. How could she say no? His friendship over the last weeks had been a comfort, and something she had desperately needed after remembering everything.
Yawning slightly, Lorina idly stretched much like a cat upon her perch, and soon shifted herself into a sitting position. Bare legs hung over the branch, and she wondered over the wasted effort of wearing an actual skirt. Sure, she had worn dresses before, but this was her first time making a conscious effort of getting someone to notice her. Smiling lightly, she pushed herself from the high branch. Landing easily upon her feet, she swept her now pink hair over her shoulders. "My sister should be here today. I cannot wait until she comes home," she murmured. Plopping down to sit beside Leon, she leaned against his shoulder idly. At least there were some things she could do that he would not mind, and that would allow her to be close to him. Even if the Knight thought nothing more of the contact.

Leon could hardly contain himself. Nai was coming home! Goddesses, he hadn't seen her in forvever. He didn't know how he survived. Well, he did know, actually -- Lori helped him out a lot, curing his heartache and loneliness with her company~ She wasn't Nairore, of course, but she did remind him a lot of her sister, especially after she changed. And, ooh, boy, did she change. Lori had curves now, for one; that was certainly something the Knight didn't expect. She was also taller, and seemed prettier somehow; of course, the sisters had both always been gorgeous, but Lorina carried herself with a bit more confidence now. Nai was confident too, so confident that the Knight could hardly admire it all.
Confidence was sexy. No doubt about it.
Leon wrapped his arms around his legs and hugged his knees to his chest, almost quivering with anticipation. He had taken extra-special care to make sure his hair and clothes were absolutely perfect today, just to show off and show Nai how man he was. Not that she'd notice, anyway. She only payed attention to him long enough to punch him in the face or floor him or something equally violent. But he'd get her one day, he knew it! >
The hybrid was snapped out of his reverie as Lorina landed on the ground next to him, and he relaxed his wound-up position, extending his legs and propping himself up with his hands behind him. He took a moment to admire her hair for the umpteenth time since she dyed it; when she sat down next to him, he couldn't help but wind a section of the pink locks around his fingers, letting it go and winding it up again.
"Have I mentioned that I love your hair?" he asked, resting his head on hers. "It's so gorgeous, and it always smells nice. It's almost as beautiful as my hair~"
Still petting the girl's hair, he sighed rather petulantly, his bright, bright blue eyes continuously scanning for his darling Nairore. "D'you know when she's gonna be here? I hope it doesn't take too long. If I have to wait another minute, I'm going to just die."

From the shadow of her hood Nairore was scanning the crowds. She really should have set up some sort of specific meeting place, but then when she had been writing her letters home she hadn't exactly thought much about the confrontation with her father. Her thoughts had been returning home, to the familiarity, and she had forgotten the scale of the city. However it wasn't long before she spotted a familiar face among the strangers, though much to her dismay that familiar face was not Lorina, but rather the annoying thorn in her side, Leon.
Then another girl appeared beside him. The long pink hair and the curves in her body threw Nairore off for a moment, but she would recognize her sister anyway. How she had grown on her own. Nairore hadn't though she would change, for whatever reason. She'd been too caught up in her own changes, it seemed, to even think much on Lori being different. She had definitely become a fine young lady, very beautiful, and the way she carried herself had matured into a maiden's grace. It wasn't until Leon's hand rested on top of Lori's head that Nairore realized she needed to step forward.
She walked up to the couple casually, keeping her cloak around her and cowl up. When she got there she tipped the hood back just far enough to illuminate her face, that they might recognize her, and she glared straight at Leon. "Hands off my sister, creep," she scowled, her hand clenching into a fist and making a noticeable popping noise as her knuckles cracked at the motion. Naurlambe being inaccessible was an inconvenience, but Nairore knew full well how to use her body as a weapon, as most of the Knights knew. Leon especially.
Her attention turned to Lori, her multi-colored eyes lighting up just at the sight of her and she couldn't maintain a scowl. "You've really changed, Lori, like . . . really, wow," she said, still not fully able to accept the change, taking another moment to size her sister up before throwing a tight embrace around her. "It's good to see you, sister," she added during the embrace, then pulled her back to plant a kiss on Lori's forehead.

A small blush dusted across her cheeks as Leon twirled a section of her hair between his fingers. A light purring escaped her throat at the gesture, and she merely wished that it could continue for awhile longer. At least he did not mind her physical displays of affection, and he would most likely ever put two and two together in regards to her feelings. The gentle weight of his head against hers was comforting, and there was a visible longing in her eyes as she glanced up at him with a sweet smile. "Really? I guess shall keep it this color, then," she replied. Lorina really wished he would speak of her in the way he did her sister, and the mention of Nairore had her smile dimming just a little. She hummed lightly in response to his question about her sister's arrival, because even she was unsure. There had never been a specified meeting point, so she assumed their home.
Lorina pulled away slightly from Leon, already keenly aware of the presence of her sister. Her breath caught for a moment, and she watched as a hooded stepped before them. Amusement bubbled within her at her sister's outright glare at Leon, and so she pulled herself away from the boy before her sister decided to pummel him right there. She hastily moved to stand, brushing herself off casually. She studied her sister's face carefully, and she noted her changed eyes immediately. Her left one was the usual blue that she remembered, but her right was now colored a golden amber. What had happened for the enchantment to weaken? Lorina could tell that many changes had happened to Nairore, and there was one final decision to make the change permanent or reverse it. "Your eyes. You're conflicted, aren't you?' she asked with worry. There would be time later to discuss it, and away from the eager ears of Leon.
Lorina smiled impishly at her sister's own observations, and she slid her hands down the more pronounced curves of her slender frame. "I grew! It was quite the surprise when I looked myself in the mirror one morning," she replied with a bright laugh. She was drawn into her sister's embrace, and she eagerly pressed herself more securely against Nairore's form. Nuzzling her cheek against her sister's shoulder, a content sigh escaped her lips. After she was pushed away a small distance, she glanced up at her sister with adoring eyes. It had been two months too long, and she really hoped she would not have to leave so soon. She smiled brightly as Nairore placed a kiss against her forehead, and soon dove after her in another embrace, clinging to her sister closely. "I missed you so much," she murmured for only Nai to hear.

He made a bit of a squee face and fistpumped with the hand that wasn't playing with Lori's hair, obviously delighted with the prospect of her hair being permanently pink. "No worries, darlin', I gotcha covered when your roots come in," he told her, running a finger along the line that parted her hair. He then tugged on one of his spikes, his grin fading slightly. "Speaking of, I should probably pick up some more bleach soo--"
A broad grin split across his face, which didn't fade even as he threw his hands up in the air, hopped to his feet, and stepped away from Lorina -- and closer to Nai in the process. He knew that popping sound all too well; well enough to make the hair on the back of his neck stand up and send chills running up and down his spine.
Delicious.
He gave the sisters their space, much as he wanted to hug the crap out of Nairore right then and there. Of course, giving someone space meant 'back up a step and stare intently in a direction perpendicular to the event that is not meant to witnessed", although he still watched the Gerudo out of the corner of his eye.
Though, of course, Leon wasn't Leon unless he was being nosy and listening to conversations that took place during extremely personal moments, and he could only contain himself for so long.
His brow furrowed slightly and he moved behind Lorina, placing his hands on her slender shoulders and looming over her, leaning closer and closer to Nai, trying to get a good look at her eyes.
"Hey, lookit that!" he half-shouted, forgetting his wonderful fear of the Gerudo woman in his surprise. "Your eyes are different! That's so weird. I mean, not that it's not gorgeous~ You could never be anything but beautiful, Nai. I like it, you should keep it like that. It's magic or something, right? But I thought you couldn't do magic. Did that Rwaht Orins guy do that for you? He must've. He sounds pretty awesome, I'd love to meet him. Where is he, anyway? Weren't you traveling with him? Did he leave you on your own or something? That's not very gentlemanly. I'd never leave you alone, not for a single second."
And so the rambling began.

It was a tender moment, the embrace of her sister. Naturally Lori saw right through Nairore, saw the truth behind the change in eye color. Of course she would; she knew more about the enchantment than Nairore did just being a magic user. Some thought it was aesthetic on Nairore's part, but only a few knew the enchantment had been her father's doing long before Nairore had been old enough to make up her mind. "Nothing gets past you, huh," she said with a soft smirk. "I missed you too, Lori."
Naturally the resident pest had to come along and ruin the entire moment. As Leon stared intently into her face Nairore backed off and her gaze fell immediately to where Leon's hands were on Lori's shoulder. Her multi-colored eyes turned back up to Leon and glared. "Hands off. Next time you do that I cut them off all together," she grunted, pointing to his hands and then to him accordingly. Though one of her eyes may have changed color, it did nothing to filter that same stare she had for Leon that dripped with malice.
Then she turned her attention back to Lori. "Did you have to bring him along?" she murmured and shook her head. "I was hoping you and I could have a little chat, somewhere . . . much more private and much less annoying," she said, the last part drawing another stare at Leon. Sometimes she thought he might try to annoy her just so that she glared at him. Any attention was good attention or something like that. He was worse than a puppy; at least they could be trained.
But she didn't have time to remorse. If she shared secrets around Leon she was pretty sure he'd keep them for her sake--and maybe even go out of his way to beat down anyone who said anything that could be related to the secret. "This stays between us for now, okay? Father's not going to be too pleased, so I need to wait for the right time to tell him, but I'm not training with Rwaht Orin. I've never even met Rwaht Orin. For the past two months I've been training with . . ." she paused and double checked over her shoulder like some bad spy movie. "Merik Dragmire."

Lorina merely smiled deviously in response to her sister. Hardly anything ever got passed her when it concerned her older sister. She knew her far better than their father did, and was not too alarmed by the changes her sister had made. The differing color of her eyes was a rather attractive new feature, and she giggled at the errant thought. She reached forward, leaning up to brush her index fingers beneath Nairore's golden eyes. "You know, I think gold suits you much better than blue," she complimented sweetly. Her own way of expressing that she would accept whichever path her sister chose for herself. Honestly, their father had been forcing Nairore to walk a tight line between being raised as a Hylian and her Gerudo blood for far too long. Much like her own line between insanity and her memories. Lorina was still quite mad about that, but perhaps it had worked out for the best. Things could not always remain stagnant and unchanged, because life simply did not work that way.
The steady weight of Leon's hands upon her shoulder sent a brief shiver through her body. Her cheeks darkened a light pink, and she fidgeted in embarrassment for a moment. Lorina could read her sister quite well, but it also worked both ways. Oh, it was obvious to everyone but Leon, so what did it matter? She glanced up at the Knight with an admiring smile. Yes, he could be quite air headed, but he was so sweet and adorable~! "I don't mind, really," she reassured her sister with a smile. Honestly, if he would move his hands much lower, then Lorina would be so much more happy with the situation. Raising her hand to cover her wicked smile, she glanced away for a moment to calm her none-too-innocent thoughts. She was making herself far too obvious, but Leon would never notice with her sister right there.
She blinked owlishly, and turned blue eyes onto Nairore. A small shrug of her shoulders was her only answer. "He's kept me company, and he insisted," she stated with an innocent smile. There was hardly anything innocent lurking within her eyes, and she glanced up at the rambling Knight with an exasperated affection as she patted his hand upon her shoulder idly. She knew that Leon annoyed Nairore more than any of the other Knights, but at least he was sincere about his intentions. The others only lusted after what they could not have, but this one truly loved her sister. He was just very not much of her sister's type. It annoyed Lorina than no amount of her blatant flirting ever registered with him. Short of kissing him, she honestly had no idea what to do. Well, there was an idea, but certainly not in front of her sister. She would certainly kill Leon despite any protests she made.
Her brow furrowed, and Lorina gazed at her sister intently. Any secret Nairore gave her was never told to another living soul. As her sister revealed that she had been training with the King of the Gerudo, she wondered if this was some sort of cosmic irony to slap their father in the face. Part of her wanted to fall over laughing, but she kept her composure. "So that was what that scribbled out 'M' stood for in your letter," she replied, tapping her lips with her index finger idly. Lorina wondered how that arrangement had come about, and she wondered if the Gerudo King was lurking somewhere nearby as the spoke. Blue eyes scanned the surroundings along the outer edge of her home, but she surmised that he was most likely in disguise. "Naughty, naughty, Nai~" she purred in a teasing tone. It really did not matter to her, because her sister was happy with the arrangement. Who was she to judge someone she had never even met, anyway?

He let out a soft whine when Nai's attention snapped back to him, to rebuke him for touching her sister. Really, her overprotectiveness was adorable~ Even if she was threatening to cut off his appendages, at least she was doing it in an attractive manner. That took... well, not class, because Nairore was everything but classy, but it was still impressive.
Leon wrapped his arms further around Lori and pulled her closer to him, gazing at Nai with his best puppy dog eyes. "But I love your sister!" he whined, squeezing the girl gently, oh-so gently. "She's so cute, I can't keep my hands off her. She's like, my best friend." An idea suddenly occurred to him, and he pulled away from the Minish hybrid so that his hands were back on her shoulders, nothing more. "She can be my best man and your maid of honor when we get married-- wait, did you say Merik Dragmire?" He paused in his glorious speech for just a moment, tapping his chin with a slender finger. "Hmm. I feel like I should know that name. Is he like, famous or something? He must be really something, if you train with him. Can I meet him? I have to make sure he knows you're off limits, y'know. Honestly, if I found out that you were fooling around with him on me, my heart would just break~"
Leon was joking... mostly. He loved Nai more than anything, and although he wanted to be with her, he also wanted her to be happy. Even if she punched him in his beautiful face every time she saw him.
He honestly didn't know who Merik was, though. Intelligent, Leon was not.

Nairore could see it written all over Lori's face and it caused her hands to clench tightly into fists, her knuckles made white and popping in that familiar sound. That annoying Knight had turned his attention to her sister, and Nairore was not pleased by this. If he had laid a single hand on her in that way. . . . It was clear Lori was convinced she loved him. Nairore had to wonder what it was that Leon had said to the young hybrid while she had been away. Without her there to draw the Knight's attention he had turned to the next best thing, huh?
She took a deep breath and calmed herself. No, she was misreading things. It couldn't be like that, it was just her hormones throwing things off skew. She actually managed to catch herself, for all of a minute. Then Leon did probably the most wrong thing he could do in his situation and spoke. After his first few words Nairore didn't hear anymore. Blood pumped through her ears and she was seeing red. She didn't even hear the dismissive way he passed off Merik's name, though that would've probably pissed her off more just knowing he didn't have any regard for the Knights' greatest enemy.
In one smooth motion Nairore stepped forward, her hand reaching out and laying itself on Lori's shoulder. She moved her hybrid sister aside and stepped in between the pair, before throwing forth one of her renowned right hooks followed by a backspin into a roundhouse kick to the same place. She knew Leon, his Goron heritage made him quite hardy, but she also knew that she was quite capable of knocking him down and that Leon would hardly fight back. It wasn't in him to harm her.
And Nairore would mercilessly take full advantage of this. "You had better not have laid one hand on my little sister you rock eating son of a bitch!" she practically shrieked at the grounded hybrid. The cowl to her hood had fallen in her spinning motion to show her almost half and half red and brown hair now and immediately identifying her to any onlookers. But she didn't care anymore, as she quickly fell upon the Knight with a flurry of punches. "Don't you even think about touching her!"

Lorina knew this situation was going to hell in a hamster wheel in an instant, and before she could even say anything to placate her sister, Leon decided to wrap his arms fully around her. Her cheeks flamed a bright pink, and she could not even enjoy the sensation with Nairore gazing at Leon with murder in her eyes. Oh, Godesses, why did she bring the Knight along again? Part of her felt like crying at how easily he proclaimed to love her as a friend, and frustrated tears burned at her eyes for a moment. It was unfair that her sister could get any male she wanted, but the one that Lorina had feelings for was already smitten by her older sibling. A best friend only, and she almost wanted to hit Leon herself for his comment about her being the best man and the maid of honor for his wedding to Nairore. He really needed to be quiet right now!
Lorina felt Leon draw back from her, and she could feel the murderous intent coming from her sister. She glanced at her sister warily, but before she could even warn Leon to keep his mouth shut, her sister had grasped her shoulder to move her away. Her eyes widened as Nairore launched herself right at the Knight. She knew that Leon would not even attempt to fight back, and she was surprised at how much violence her sister was displaying. Sure, she had often punched Leon before for being too touchy feely, but not with such an intent to kill. "Nai, stop it! He's never done anything to me!" she shouted, but she knew her voice would not distract the focused woman. The hood of her cloak fell back, and she noticed the red roots of her usual brown hair, and this was going to draw attention to them all!
Lorina launched herself at her sister, knowing that her strength to could hardly compare with her sister's. She did have one advantage over the older woman, and so she grasped her arm harshly with both of her hands, small claws sinking slightly into the skin. "I said stop!" she hissed in anger, releasing a small shock of her magic to stun her sister for a moment. At least it would allow Leon to scramble away, and she would deal with her sister. Lorina loved her sister more than anyone in existence, but she would not allow her to harm someone needlessly. Especially over someone she liked very much, and she was quite capable of deciding who she wanted to fool around with! [Not that she ever would.] Her gaze turned to the battered Leon, and her gaze left no room for arguments. "Get the hell out of here now, Leon," she hissed, keeping herself latched to her sister to prevent her from going after the Knight again.

Flying. It wasn't something you'd expect a Goron to do, even a half-Goron like Leon; they were literally rock solid, after all, and weren't the most aerodynamic of creatures. Despite this, though, Nairore sent the teenager flying on numerous occasions.
He wasn't sure whether to be grateful for the experience or afraid for his life.
Enraged Nai. Skip a scene, and Leon's on his ass, a hand covering the red-marked, slightly aching area on the side of his head. Pan, zoom; tears welling up in his inhumanly blue eyes, his previously lighthearted expression broken and crumpled like an old, bruised fruit that had been gripped too hard. He was hurt, almost shocked -- almost, because this had happened before, only she wasn't usually quite as vicious. The months she had spent not kicking his ass into oblivion had pent up, apparently. And then she had exploded -- everything blown up in his face -- all because he had pulled her sister into a hug.
At least, that was what he thought it was about.
What really surprised him, though, was that she had ceased her assault; but as he clambered to his feet, he saw that Lori was holding her back, and a warmth grew in his heart. She was a sweet girl, truly. He'd have to thank her properly when her sister wasn't trying to kill him.
He nodded and backed up a few steps. "I... I'm sorry," he said softly, completely serious, utterly sincere.
And then he turned tail and fled.
exitus.

Nairore's vision was blurred. All she knew was the feeling of her knuckles repeatedly connecting with the side of Leon's face. Her shrieks were almost intangible and drawing quite a bit of attention to the trio. No one seemed to step forward, as once Nairore was recognized people knew better than to get involved. People liked to keep their teeth and knew Nairore had a reputation of responding to things with violence, much like she was doing there. To Nairore, however, there was nothing but the bloodying of her knuckles against Leon, probably doing more damage to herself due to his Goron blood but not caring.
It was the message that mattered.
Then, suddenly, Nairore felt a pinch against the skin of her arm and her whole body seemed to shut down as the small shock ran through her. Reflexes she didn't even know she had yet kicked in and one of her arms wrapped around her stomach, though the child inside wasn't even near the stage where it would get hurt as she slumped backward into Lori, her mind reeling as the shock wiped it blank momentarily and scrambled her thoughts. When she collected her senses all she saw was Leon's back far down the road and all she felt was Lori clinging onto her.
She blinked away the last of the shock-induced blur and she stared down at her hands. Her knuckles had busted open in several spots and she was pretty sure one or two of them were dislocated. It hurt, though it was pain she was remarkably familiar with. Enough that she could just as easily dismiss it until it was healed, and since Lori was under the tutelage of their father she would know at least enough healing to cover such a minor wound. The thought of her father brought Nairore completely back to her senses, however, and she looked about.
Too much attention was drawn to her, and her cowl had fallen off. She quickly pulled it up, tight around her, and bowed her head. Not that it did any good. No doubt word would get back to her father fairly quickly of this incident. Her attention turned to Lori. "I'm sorry, I . . . well I can't say I don't know what came over me. Can we go somewhere and talk, the two of us? There's a lot to tell," she murmured in a half-hushed voice since there were eyes and ears now upon her no doubt eager to hear what they shouldn't.

Lorina could see that people were gathering by the edge of their home, and she wished to lash out at them for not minding their own business. They would all recognize Nairore, and her identity was out the window. The red in her hair was plainly visible, and some may even notice her discolored eyes now. Why was her sister doing this? She had always been violent toward the Knights, but nothing like this. She clung all the more to the older girl, watching with relief as her shock stunned her sister into submission. Blue eyes flickered to Leon in concern, and she smiled weakly as he apologized and took off running. He did not appear to hurt, and soon she was fretting over her sister in worry. Lorina blinked at the arm wrapped protectively about her slender stomach, but she thought nothing more about it when she saw the damage of her knuckles. All bloodied and raw.
"I'm sorry, Nai," she murmured. The onlookers were annoying her, and so she turned to them with slitted eyes and bared fangs. A hissing escaped her clenched teeth, and soon the small audience vanished. If Nairore was known for her violence, then her insanity was still quite a wonderful deterrent as well. She examined her sister's knuckles more closely, and she winced as she noticed some of them moved at an odd ankle. Dislocated, and it would no doubt hurt to put them back into position. She would not heal her until they were both in the relative privacy of their home, and she watched sadly as Nairore quickly pulled the hood of her cowl up. It was quite good luck that their father was gone for the day. At least Nairore would not have to worry about him until tomorrow or so. It gave them enough time to come up with some sort of story.
"Of course, Nai. We'll go to my room," she murmured gently. Lorina soon stood, and she grasped her sister by the arm to lead her back into the house. There was certainly a lot to explain, but that would come after she healed her sister's battered hands. Honestly, what had overcome her? Never had she reacted so violently before, and to Leon of all people. Yes, he could be quite annoying to Nairore, but she never treated him with such hatred. Closing the door behind her, Lorina lead her sister down the hall and into her own bedroom. Privacy and probably better than being in her old room. "Let me heal your hands first. I'll take care of you," she cooed sweetly. Lifting one of Nai's hands with both of her own, Lorina quickly set the knuckles back into the proper place and healed the broken skin gently. Humming idly, she reached for the other damaged hand and did the same. Her fingers ran over the healed skin gently, inspecting her handiwork before smiling weakly.
"Does that feel better?"

Things were all a blur. They were moving too fast for Nairore's mind to keep up with. It wasn't supposed to go like this. She had been supposed to come and have a nice evening with her sister, Lori, before confronting her father. Now word would get to Zenethil before she even talked to him. He would know about her hair, and to a keen observer, her eyes. Maybe it was for the better, maybe it would give him time to cool down before the actual confrontation. However Nairore believed it would make things worse. She could handle rage. With time, however, he could take a cool and calculated approach to this and be even more dangerous.
Then they were in their home. Or rather they were in Lori's home. Zenethil was away and it did not bear the same homeliness as it had once for Nairore. Instead the walls were a cage, and she was their prisoner. In them only bad things would happen, things she was not ready for yet. But Zenethil was away, and instead she had the guiding light of Lori leading her through the deserted, claustrophobic hallways until they got to her room. Inside it was much more homely. Good memories of times they had spent together there as children, the games they played. It made up for the prison that was outside.
Lori examined her hands and healed the popped knuckles. It was much better when they were fixed and the evidence of the incident earlier was eliminated. Too bad the incident itself couldn't be erased just as easily. Nairore flexed her hands and smiled wearily at Lori's handiwork. "I really wish I could do that," she murmured, something similar to sorrow creeping at the edge of her voice. Nairore didn't really know what she was feeling anymore; ever since she had taken child her emotions had been havoc.
"Lori, tell Leon I'm sorry," she said, only thinking about the repercussions of the message after she said it. The pest would cling to it, put it on a pedestal. Maybe her deserved the light of hope. His optimism shouldn't be snuffed so easily. Nairore sighed and stood up, shedding her cloak and Naurlambe, letting the lot of it pile up on the floor in the corner. It was somewhat of a relief to have the sword gone, having worn it almost steadily for the last two months. The Gerudo woman settled back down on Lori's bed and sighed. "I'm pregnant," she blurted out, though she suspected Lori had already figured out as much.
