He hoped the directions weren't too difficult to understand. He had lit all the torches in most of the rooms making the cavern light up pretty brightly. From the outside, the little hole in the side of a cliff wouldn't be too suspect, but inside, it was like walking into a different area. No wall was bumpy, curved, or rough for that matter.
Every surface had been filed down, made straight, and made to look like possibly the rooms of a stone castle. A main hallway broke off into a meeting/living room, a 'kitchen' which just had dried foods, a library, a few bedrooms, a bath area with a large natural spring tub, a second room with fresh water that was sent to other rooms with the use of pipes for a drink.
It wasn't a bad place to grow up really, though it was a bit empty for most of the time. Jin sat in the meeting room, eating a piece of dried meat and reading a book about Gerudo, wondering about those few he had interacted with before he looked down at Lisa, the small tortoise eating a bit of meat too. "Did he get lost? The directions aren't too complex, are they?" Jin wondered aloud, looking at the pile of dried meats and fruits on the table, making sure they were good.
Jin couldn't stay seated anymore, and he went over to the hole in the hallway and looked out, the sand not too bad as the wind blew. A small flag stood outside, flapping in the wind. A sign for the Champion.
Head toward the Haunted Wastelands, over the large crack in the ground near the end, toward the standing stones, walk the way of the missing stone, follow the rocks the way they points and walk left along the cliff face til you find the flag.
Easy... right...?

Ryan stared incomprehensibly at the directions. Head towards the what? Do the what at the what now? He honestly could barely read the writing, let alone the instructions on them. This was proving to be way more trouble than he had initially thought it would be. Who would have guessed that one of his Wardens lived out there in the middle of nowhere?
Sighing in frustration, Ryan simply choose a random direction and started to walk, trusting Fate to bring him where he needed to be, as it often did. Within a few sand-blasted minuets he was right where he needed to be, sheer coincidence working for his benefit once again.
Naturally this meant that sooner or later he would be struck with a bout of horrible luck, but that was neither here nor there.
Seeing Jin, Ryan walked up to his Warden, looking dubiously at the surroundings. "Nice. . . Place you have here?" He honestly didn't know if he was being polite or not, but he figured he should at least try, right?

He was a little worried now. Not that Ryan was in danger, he knew the Champion could take care of himself. He didn't know how good Ryan was at finding his way though. It was starting to look bad, but Ryan happened to come into view. With a sigh he waved to the Human and moved out of the hole to welcome him.
"Its a little hard to find, but thats a good thing in a land with ainur and Gerudo thieves." He said, smiling before motioning Ryan into the entrance. "Come on in, I have some food and drink waiting, though the food is dried sadly." Jin said, before entering the hallway, perfectly carved in the stone.

Ryan nodded at Jin's comments on his home. "Makes a good defensive position as well, fitting for you, from what I've heard." Rumor has it that Jin had a bit of a turtle thing going on, and favored a defensive style of combat. IT was a bit odd that both of his Wardens preferred defense over offense, but he supposed that having someone who was more likely to survive with him on the field of battle was a good thing, rather than someone who wasn't
"Lead on." He said in reply to the invitation. Following Jin inside the cavern. It was surprisingly well done, not at all the dark cave he had been expecting. Instead he was treated to a well carved, almost artistically done room. "I'm impressed, did you build this place yourself?

"Oh yes. Well shielded and yet oddly just fine." Jin said with a smile, before he offered a look at the hallway with a sweep of his hand. "This is my home, there are different rooms that lead off from the hallway, and a map to help you figure out where to go. There are some blocked off sections though, so just ignore them." He explained, before leading the way into the closest room to them, the doorway carved perfectly as well
."I was raised here, and while I did actually finish a few rooms, it wasn't me who built it. There is a Poe deeper in my home who was one of the two who made their place his home... strangely enough, his shields are now mine as well as his house." Jin said, rubbing his head. "I owe him my life I believe... but thats neither here nor there. Come, come, I have food as I mentioned before." He added with a smile.
As he walked to the seat he was in before, motioning to the seat opposite of him across the small table. The furniture made from wood and well furnished, being comfortable to sit in without being to soft or to hard, and the table had a small table cloth draped over it. "Please enjoy a treat and some crisp water. I only have dried fruits and meat to offer, but its good." Jin said, hoping he would able to give a good impression.

"A poe huh? How did you manage to luck in to that?" Seriously, that was just bizarre. Poes, as far as he could recall, typically liked to murder your face off with little to no provocation. The only Poe who he had met who hand't done that was Elohim, and he was reliably sure that the man couldn't be counted as a proper Poe anyway, more of an Undead Lich or something like that. Either way it was damned fortunate that Jin had managed to get himself a setup like this, it was pretty sweet.
"Thank you for the offer, but all the sand sort of killed my mood for a meal." Was his apologetic reply. He was thankful for the offer, and was glad to see that his Warden was a polite individual if nothing else. It was always a pain in the ass as far as public relations were concerned if you own subordinate was an idiot or a jerk. Whatever they did tended to reflect on you, as you happened to have brought them on your staff, Ryan was happy to see that Jin would make a positive impression on people.

"Oh... he expects me to track down the man who killed him and then kill that man. Pretty much... from what I can tell... he has spent most of his undead life making me into a fighter just to kill one man." Jin said, rubbing his chin as he stared toward the back of the cavern. "How he reacts to others, I am unsure... but he never strays to far from here and each time I return he asks if I have done the deed." He spoke, a little softer, a little worried what would happen if the Poe found out about the other.
Jin looked at the food and shrugged, picking up a piece of meat and taking a bite of it, sitting and watching Ryan. "Well, at least take a seat. I figure we can start to try to learn a bit about each other. Careful of Lisa there by the table leg... and I think Sasha fell asleep." Jin said, first motioning to the orange and tan tortoise by the Champion, then looking to the small table next to him where a small, white deku baba slept. No bigger then his fist and not even a threat.
He thought for a moment, before he looked at Ryan again. "An offer for you. If you are ever in the desert for whatever reason, and find the need to rest, you can always try your luck here. Food, drink, beds, and a bath."

"Well, that is quite the tale. Although I have to admit its one of the tamer stories I've heard." It was a mark of just how strange the land of Hyrule was that he could hear a tale of a ghostly mentor training someone from beyond the grave to seek out revenge, yet not bat an eye in the slightest. Apparently such strange and unusual situations were so common that a passing acknowledgment was the best that a person could expect.
Man, Hyrule was weird.
Sitting down at the table and trying to make himself look dignified (but knowing he was failing miserably and not caring in the slightest) Ryan nodded in thanks to Jin's invitation to find safe harbor at his place should the need arise. "Thank you, good to know my Wardens are willing to offer their protection freely like that. That was actually the original point of this meeting, to get to know my Warden better and get an idea of who you are and why you signed up for this."

"Well, I didn't think my own tale was too wild, but as it is, I am just able to relax here and spend my time out of the eyes of most others who wonder the desert. Though its not like people recognize me." Jin said, shrugging a bit and taking a sip of his water before he noticed Lisa at his foot, nudging it a bit. Picking up the tortoise, he softly stroked her shell and smiled at Ryan.
Jin nodded and thought to himself a bit before he looked at Ryan for a moment. "I am hoping to find where I came from partly. I don't know my family, my past is a mystery too me. Hopefully, this will help lead me to some answers." He said softly, running his finger along the spine of Lisa's shell absent-mindedly.

"That's certainly one reason to join the Wardens. I'm going to be honest and say it's probably not the best reason. While it is true you have better access to resources and information and whatnot, your main priority should be about protecting and helping your fellow human beings." He adjusted his sitting position so that he was leaning forward in a more professional position. While he didn't object to someone using their status to further their own agendas (because lets face it, every Leader and Lieutenant did), he did at least want to say his Lieutenants were focused more on the job than their own interests.
"I'm not saying I wont help you were I can, or that you're forbidden from doing it, but you should be focused on the job you signed up for. I need people who are committed to the cause of humanity." Ryan was very much pro-human interests, but not in any way Anti-Everyone else. He considered many of the other races to be kin to his own, but they had their own leaders to look after them, so he and his Wardens needed to look after the Humans.

Jin looked at the table, stroking Lisa's shell a bit more, avoiding Ryan's gaze for a little bit. "I won't lie... it was my intention originally... but after traveling around Hyrule... I now know my shields are better used for defending those who aren't strong enough to defend themselves." Jin said, breathing out a soft sigh of relief.
He looked up at Ryan, a smile coming to his face now. "I have started to see that I need to do more for this land. I need to protect people.. but I have also found a new adventure for me to take part of." Jin said, before holding Lisa in front of him. "Lisa, Armor." He said, and the tortoise turned into an orb of light before going into his chest.
As he stood there, looking at Ryan, his body covered in the organic armor. "With this armor and my shields I plan to make a name for myself being a defender of the human race. If my family finds me because of it, then good... but I need to be a hero before I am a Son."

Well, it wasn't the worst way to go about declaring your intentions. Nice and dramatic as well, with the right amount of heroic conviction to make it proper instead of cheesy. "Well, you're heart seems to be in the right place if nothing else, just learn to use that head of yours along with it and I'm sure everything will be fine." Ryan didn't have any objections to 'heros' as his Wardens, so long as they were intelligent about it. All too often someone would get that heroic vibe going, get all reckless and think that because they were "the chosen one", nothing they did would have any harmful consequences for them.
They usually ended up dead, or in jail, one of the two. Oddly enough Ryan was typically the one to throw them in prison.
"I have to admit, having two of my three Wardens be defense-oriented is probably good for Public Relations, as you present a non-threatening and even protective image, something that'll surely endear us to the public." He left it unsaid for now if their defensive focus was good on a tactical or strategic level. He had yet to work with them in an actual battle, and wasn't about to make judgments just yet.

"You haven't seen my library have you... I tend to use my head and heart when doing things, mostly because I've read tales of those who failed to use both and end up dead or worse." Jin said, sitting back down, Lisa turning into a tortoise once more, sitting on his lap as if nothing had happened. He even seems to forget that he had just put on a display for the Human Champion like it was nothing.
Jin nodded. "Don't count me out when it comes to strength though. I am stronger then most humans and even some gorons, so don't worry about me when battle comes." He said though, making sure that the Champion knew that if he needed help on the offensive, Jin was good there as well."

He laughed in a friendly manner. "Glad to hear you can think as well as act. Strength is a useful thing to have in today's battlefield, I'm sure that if you keep this up you'll make a fine Warden." Ryan was pleased with how things had turned out with his Wardens. Both of them seemed to be capable individuals with a good set of hearts between them and a strong focus on protecting others over themselves. The whole situation was almost ideal, really.
"I think that will be all for now, it's good to know I have you at my back when things get rough." Standing up, Ryan made to shake Jin's hand before leaving, as it was the only polite thing to do "If ever need a hand with your own quest, feel free to give me a call. Until then just be sure to focus on your duties and everything should be great." He said with a smile.

Nodding with a smile, Jin got to his feet and took Ryan's hand, shaking it briefly before leading him over to the small entrance of his home. "I have no leads as of now, but thank you for your offer Ryan." He took a step out and stretched a bit. "I hope the next time we meet its under a similar situation. Though a little combat training would be fun." Jin added with a grin.
