Nighttime. The thieves were out. In a tavern we find Corvus, hood up, face concealed, sitting in the back corner with a mug of ale. It was called surveying the scene, seeing who was around, who could do what he could, who would be worthy of his time.
It was a slow night, but even on a slow night people were present, losing themselves on ale and fine wine. A veritable gold mine, if you knew the right tricks. By the time he walked out of here, he was sure to have more coin than when he walked in. Let's just see how the night progressed.

Not all thieves worked with the same style. Each had a signature, a way they worked that was unlike anyone else. Of course not all of these signature styles had much variation, as practicality came first. Most thieves scoped out the room before they worked, spotting the loosest purse, the purses with the most jangle, learning the ways of the inhabitants and the blind spots where it would be most easy to pick a pocket without being caught by the tavern authorities.
Thieves were often bad for business, after all.
Others had a much more flamboyant style, much like our sweet nymph Risa, who had similar gials as Corvus as she approached the tavern from the outside. With a quick walk by the windows the green-clad woman was able to discern the crowds, figure out what sort of disposition she was working with, and come up with a plan. Such was the practiced eye of the socialite, spending nearly an entire century honing that sense.
So when Risa opened the door to the tavern she knew to keep her manners to herself. With a small crowd like there was in the tavern you did not want to draw more attention to yourself than your nymph blood allowed. Of course Risa couldn't walk into a room without drawing attention, such was the allure of her kin, but as heads turned she bashfully looked around the room and found an empty place on a stool at the bar.
A flurry of green cloth trailed behind her as she swept across the room, causing heads to turn and admire her as she passed. Her bashful approach kept the potential suitors from gawking, causing them to favor stolen glances. This would allow her to work without all of the eyes on her. She found her seat, intentionally away from the crowd but not in the open, and sat there, waiting for her cool and calculated approach to show its merits, waiting for the first suitors to approach her as they always did.
Sometimes a nymph's life was hard. But not usually.

Freya had just locked up shop for the night. Scents of wild flowers, and various other plants clung to her bared flesh, the minimal amount of clothing imbued with the same heady perfume, a mix of her own natural scent, and the mix of powerful scents that the flowers exuded. She smiled as she walked away from her small shop. It had been a good day, several of her more delicate specimens had begun to grow into their delightful forms. She had, much to Risa's probably delight, made a little money as well. There had also been that man... He was a delightful one. So sweet. And he seemed to know about flowers. She had actually sighed when he left, not through longing, but knowing that by tomorrow, he would regret his actions. Such a shame...
She looked up to the moon, a smile upon her delicate lips, hands resting on her waist, trying to remember where she was supposed to meet Risa. Something about 'a new adventure'. She hoped beyond hope that she meant they were going back to the grove. She did so miss that magnificent paradise. So calm... So tranquil... She began to walk, hips swaying involuntarily, as she devoured the sights and smells of Castle Town with her eyes, an almost childish curiosity completely at odds with her intensely feminine figure.
She stretched her arms above her head, yawning slightly, earning more than a few looks from slightly inebriated young men, as well as a couple of cat-calls. She span as she walked on, entering the tavern, entering a wall of noise and her senses being assaulted by a cacophony of sounds, sights and scents. She smiled widely, closing her eyes, and inhaling deeply, before spotting Risa in her seat. Freya practically squealed, before materialising next to her, a flurry of petals marking her movement, much to the surprise of one man who was about to speak to her, taking her sister into a near-crushing embrace.
Hey Risa! We out again tonight?
Her grin was broad, emerald eyes shifting from the bemused, entertained and interested men that were looking at the pair of gorgeous young-looking women before them. She giggled at a sudden thought. Why, she was old enough to be some of these people's grandmother!

Well this night had certainly turned interesting. A gorgeous maiden with the most elegant of emerald decorating her. Even he had to perk up at the sight of her, almost out of instinct, before he remembered what he was here to do and disappeared back into his corner, still watching, though his sapphire eyes kept drifting back to the lady, her allure unmistakeable.
Then it happened. A second emerald maiden walked in and his glance was once again stolen. Two beauties in one night, oh how this night was turning out. Beautiful women made for wonderful distractions. It was evident the two knew each other, one referred to the other as Risa. Risa, a name that rolled exquisitely off the tongue. The men had seemed to all have found their goal for tonight. A smirk ran across his face through the shadows, gazing between the two wonderful ladies like he was in a jewelry shop. Which was an appropriate comparison, because he felt like he was gazing at two of the most beautiful emeralds in existence.
Though it made him wonder, as another sip of ale slid through his system, what was the cause for the bright flowing green adorned upon their heads? It certainly was not a natural color, at least for humans. Green hair was not uncommon among the Minish, but he would have noticed a quirk about them that was animalistic. It certainly added to the mystery, and he would find out, but for now he kept himself secluded, letting the men take their looks.

All her wiles, her calculated approach, all of it was ruined as her sister arrived in the tavern and made a big spectacle out of herself, even going so far as to disappear and reappear beside her. Risa sighed. It wasn't disappointment, she was far too ready for this to be disappointed. Her sister wasn't always subtle, but Risa had been hoping to lay the groundwork on at least a couple of the men in that tavern. Once Freya was there, however, things changed. Not for the worse, not at all, as every eye in the tavern fell upon the two of them.
"No sister, I thought we would stay in tonight," she said, her voice just low enough to be considered casual conversation without anyone taking note, yet just loud enough that anyone nearby could hear her. She turned her head and glanced around the room with a warm smile across her lips, her eyes locking momentarily with a pair of sapphire eyes across the tavern belonging to a young, blonde Minish. She offered him a friendly smile, with a touch of invitation spread across her plush lips, which happened to be completely unintentional.
"Why don't you order a drink," she said to her sister while her eyes were across the room, then with a sly look drew them away, back to Freya. "Something expensive, like we used to have. I think we'll be covered for the night," she said with a little giggle as several of the patrons were already muttering things to the bartender. She knew the game. They were ordering drinks, letting the bartender break the ice for them, and then later they'd come collect their spoils once they'd had enough to garner the courage.
Risa reclined in her stool against the bar, facing the room. Her legs crossed at the knee and bounced up and down ever so slightly as if to the beat of unheard music. Her poor sister always needed to be kept on the right track, lest she wander off and get distracted with her silly ideals. "Remember what we're here for," she cooed, her lips barely parting as a cool and confident smile realigned itself across them.

Freya broke from the hug, looking at Risa, head cocked to the side, looking a little confused for a moment, before everything clicked into place, a small O forming on her lips. Oops. Maybe she should have been a little more... What was the word... Inconspicuous? Or something like that. She giggled again, noticing more eyes falling upon them. She looked over in the direction of where her eyes had fallen, smiling a little at the blonde Minish. Poor guy, if her sister was looking at her, probably meant bad news. Well... Neither of them would think it. Come to think of it, she was looking at him as well. REALLY bad news. She looked back at Risa, approval in her eyes.
He looks dreamy. I hope he's nice...
He words trailed off for a moment, picturing a conversation with him for a moment. In her minds eye, he was very nice. A gentleman, despite his boyish appearance... Her reverie was snapped as Risa spoke to her again, and a grin lit up on Freya's face, her eyes bursting into life, as usual.
Okay! Back in a minute!
She practically bounced her way to where the bartender was stood, positioning herself close to the delightfully innocent looking Minish male. She smiled sweetly at the bartender, who breathed in deeply, his voice catching in his throat for a moment, before he cleared his throat, asking for what drink she wanted.
I'd like... Ermmm... Ermmm...
Okay, she had no idea what she'd like. Nor what her sister would like. Maybe a little more thought would have been a good idea. One finger went up to her lips, one hand on her hip, cocking her head to the side, looking at the vast selection of drinks behind the bar. She almost snapped her fingers as she got a sudden idea. She turned to the Minish, pointing her finger at him, screwing one eye shut while looking at him, head still cocked to the side, smiling all the while.
What do you think I should get? My sister said 'something expensive', but that's not very helpful is it?

Corvus noticed that eyes were upon him. Not quite how he wanted to be seen, but if four eyes were to be on him, it would be the two pairs belonging to the beauties in the bar. They were like a gold coin, each side polished and lovely but at the same each side was different. One was quiet, casual, the other loud and excitable. It seemed like they were trying to draw him over, but it would not work. He was comfortable in his corner, though the idea was indeed very tempting.
However, it would not be long before the loud and bouncy sister was close. Too close? No, she could be as close as she wanted. Perhaps one bad night would be worth seeing these two. He watched her motions, the other one, Risa, seemed to be disappointed, while this one was...pointing at him? He flinched when he realized what was going on, unexpectedly caught off-guard. Damn, attention was being drawn to him. She had already called him dreamy earlier, now she was attempting conversation. His tail flicked in excitement, but his movements were slow as he looked up to lock eyes. He cleared his throat and leaned back in his chair, putting his feet up and smiling.
"Do not worry about the price" he said with a hushed tone. "Get whatever you feel like. There are plenty of men who will happily pay your bill." He looked around the room, the men splitting their gazes between the women. Someone here had the pockets to pay for them. A grin settled upon his face as he lowered his hood, covering his eyes but letting the grin remain noticeable. From here it was simply a matter of letting the cards fall. Somebody had to make a move sooner or later.

Face met palm as Freya skipped away to the bar, only to not know what to order. Risa sighed into her hand and peaked up to see Freya approaching the blonde boy she had noticed earlier. You'd think after a near century that Freya would know what to order at a tavern. Then again they didn't frequent these establishments, preferring to have their drinks brought to them at the much finer places. But money was tight, and so money had to be made making due with what they had. At least until Risa was able to re-establish them once more.
She just needed a plan and a mark, neither of which were presenting themselves.
The boy was about as oblivious as her sister was once he opened his mouth. Of course their drinks were going to be paid for, that was the reason why Risa told her sister to get something expensive. She wanted to establish them as classy ladies, put them apart from the typical tavern rabble, which then added the sweet taste of the obtainable forbidden fruit on top of their natural nymph allure. Not that she needed to stack more on top, even now with them split apart at either end of the bar she was fairly certain somebody's head was going to unscrew from going back and forth.
Instead she set her focus on the man who seemed to be more well off than the rest. Finer clothing, straighter posture, the subtle things most people overlooked that were signs of a man who knew how to handle himself and had the money to back it up. She gave him a look from under her eyelashes, then got up and floated over to him. That air of dignity that had first set her focus on him was quickly crumbling as she approached, he was growing more flustered and she was pretty sure his head was about to pop when she sat on his lap.
Her hand rested on his chest and she grinned at him. "I think the next round is on our friend here," she cooed loudly to the bartender and the tavern cheered wildly, as no man could say no to a free drink. The man himself, poor soul, was too flustered to even find his tongue, let alone the words to decline her. Instead he just turned the brightest shade of red that Risa had ever seen, probably particularly emphasized by the green she was wearing.

It was, Freya thought, another testimony to the difference between her and her sister. Risa was calm, collected, and focussed her wiles so well. Freya was, however, a creature of instinct. While, for all intents and purposes, she had a figure that made even her sister look a little less appealing, though still ravishingly gorgeous, she lacked the tact and ability to really concentrate for long enough. Well... Most of the time. She had her moments. Quite often, now she thought about it. She smiled at the thought, seeing how the blonde boy reacted, had clearly picked the wrong person to ask. She shrugged, before watching her sister earn the pair of them, and everyone else in the bar a free drink. She watched as the fragile air of dignity didn't so much crumble, as evaporate. Boiled away by the intensity with which her sister seemed to lock in on him.
She blew a kiss at the blonde boy, before waving slightly, her eyes bewitchingly bright, before sauntering over with ethereal grace to where her sister had placed herself for the evening. She smiled sweetly at a man who looked dejected and slightly annoyed, the sumptuous clothing he was dressed in a hallmark of his wealth. Well, that's what Risa would have thought. Freya just thought he looked cute, especially with that annoyance on his face. Her inner-nymph began to take hold, as her hips swayed in wider, graceful arcs, her head tilting upwards, the sweet smile at odds with her movements. She pulled his head round to look at her, seeing his annoyance fade away like the morning mist, as she batted her eyelashes at him, her enormous eyes looking up at him innocently.
You could always buy the next one?
She ran one finger down his chest, before using that finger to push him slowly, inexorably, towards where Risa was sat, before giving him a light shove, causing him to drop into a seat, as she, like her sister, sat herself in his lap, causing much the same flustered blush to spread across his face. Her massive emerald eyes locked with his, still smiling just as sweetly, tilting her head to the side, the men of the crowd letting out another cheer, though from some, there was a slight note of bitterness.

Corvus knew their game, quite well in fact. A victim of it some time ago, he had told himself not to fall for it again. Those two men, however, not so lucky. It seemed that, despite their different methods, that had achieved the same result. Free drinks, and perhaps much more. Perhaps he was looking for the wrong thing tonight. A night of searching for a mark had turned into searching for a partner in crime. However, as he received his refill as a gift, he couldn't help but wonder how this was going to play out. The loud one seemed interesting in him, or perhaps she saw him as another target.
His sapphire eyes were carefully watching the emeralds, as the men's faces became rubies. Well two of them that had friends in their laps. He took a sip of ale, just a little jealous, for having one of them in his lap would be a treat. However, he also knew the cost of having a friend like that on your lap.

With the first round being paid for and the second round in order, the two nymphs quickly became the center of attention in the bar. Patrons gathered around and the line started to build. Third and fourth rounds were covered, then the fifth, until it seemed each man in the bar was buying a round. Risa couldn't help but grin at the thought, as that was enough alcohol to see at least half of the crowd passed out by the time the night was out, and the nymphs didn't suffer from the effects, so it would be clean picking.
Her attention turned to the coin purse of the man whose lap she shared as he pulled it out and paid up for the first round. As she had suspected it hardly took a dent out of it. He put the coin purse away and paid it no more heed. She grinned coyly and just a moment after it was returned to its spot the coin purse was liberated. With the line of drinks building he wouldn't be looking for it until later into the night or even the next day, by which point Risa would be gone. The coin purse found itself tucked away in her sleeve, where it wouldn't be noticed.
Dastardly acts done with she looked up and around. "I think we're missing some music. I feel like dancing; does anyone know how to play?" she cooed loudly and there was a roar from the growing crowd just at the thought of her dancing. Easy distraction to all her to move on to her next mark. She looked over at her sister who had found someone herself, though she wondered if Freya was even thinking about stealing their money. Sometimes it was hard being the brains of the outfit.
The crowd quickly found out there was a minstrel who had originally been taking a night off in their midst. A lute was found and he was put on stage, wherein he, with the quick wit that was trade for his vocation, easily fell into place and began playing some music. Risa stood up off of the first mark's lap, giving him a quick smile, before sweeping across the room to the blonde boy, entirely aware of the eyes on her back, or rather her backside, as she walked. "You look nimble enough, how about the first dance?" she said lazily to the boy, leaning in close and consequently giving him perhaps the best view in the house.
"Sitting outside the crowd is a great way to draw suspicion," she breathed, close enough to not be overheard.

Oh such fun! And free drinks! Not just the two they had earned directly, but another three shortly afterwards. No doubt they all wanted Freya or Risa sat in their lap. And to think, they weren't even doing anything other than sitting there! This was just so easy! Well, not easy, just natural to the pair of them. Freya began to hit her stride fully, pulling herself a little closer to the man she had sat on, before noticing the one Risa had just abandoned looking distraught, before annoyed, looking at the blonde male with jealousy. Freya smirked slightly, pivoting as she she sat, the man she was pressed up against looking comfortably uncomfortable, before she lifted her legs up, turning the head of one who had started to rise towards her with her feet, cocking her head to the side.
You don't really want to make a fuss. Do you?
She batted her eyelashes at the man, gaze locked with him, watching his annoyance fade, his resolve buckle, then falter entirely, his eyelids fluttering lightly, provoking another giggle from Freya, as she continued to press herself into the other. They were both like putty in her very much capable hands, as her face drew near to her first choice, her soft, delicately scented breath washing over his lips, teasing him, before swivelling herself out of his lap, her foot stroking the other's cheek before she stood, looking over her shoulder, biting her lip slightly, he hand trailing from his chest, before she sauntered to the bar, collecting her drink, leaning against it, drinking deeply, breathing in the heady concoction of scents that filled the air, smirking at her sister, tapping her foot to the jig that had been struck up.
Oh I love this song...
She began to sway her hips to the music, sashaying her way over to a man who had a similar idea of dancing. He looked somewhat shocked, but pleased, as she began to dance with him, winking, partially at him, partially at her sister, becoming lost with her inner urge to beguile and charm men left right and centre. Inwardly, she was sighing. Not again... Somehow, anything involving Risa came down to this... She paid no heed to herself, continuing to dance, moving ever closer to the man, smirking, again, at both he and Risa, her eyes communicating as only sisters can. Simple words. 'What now?'

Now this, this was an adventure. Enough rounds to black out the whole bar, two lovely women with a darker, and now one over here not only asking for a dance, but making note of his rather suspicious behavior. It was true, his seclusion was rather out of place, but it singled him out to the right people, as the wrong ones couldn't care less.
"And yet no one has noticed me...besides you two emeralds" he hushed back, moving in even closer, enjoying the view but not so much that he had forgotten his mission, or his valuables. "Why don't we dance then?" Everything was secure, and he certainly hadn't had enough to be too enamored, though with these beauties it was hard not to be. While Freya had the rest of the bar mesmerized, Corvus was enjoying his dance with Risa.
He kept his voice down as he spun her, keeping it all very relaxed, he wasn't going to tense up here. "I won't keep you long. You have many more men to seduce. You have them eating out of your hand, after all." He was onto them, it was pretty clear what was going on. They had done this before.

Risa led the blonde boy closer to the crowd as they danced. The music was addicting, though, and even her typically cool and calculating demeanor shuddered at it. It flowed through her and tugged at her body like a puppeteer pulling strings, making her sway this way and that. To his credit the blonde boy was able to hold his own, moving with her, even making a few moves of his own. She liked the confidence he exuded; one of the reasons she had picked him.
Her body wove back and forth and pressed against his rather intimately as the music played its part. He seemed perfect aware of the situation. The problem was her own movements drew far too many eyes for her to make proper transactions. When Freya started dancing opposite of them, though, it split the observers' attention, meaning they could miss certain things. Which is when Risa slipped the coin purse from her sleeve and pressed it into the boy's hands, then moved extraordinarily close to him, her mouth right by his ear as her arms wrapped around his neck.
"Even a tamed dog can see when something's wrong. I can't make too many moves or they'll catch on. After each person pays up he'll be done with his purse. Mingle with the crowd and grab it afterward and we'll split the loot three ways when all is said and done," she said, her breath warm against his skin where she was so close to him. "And don't tell me I'm wrong about you, as you do look like you're quite capable with your hands." She pulled back and gave him a cool and coy grin while still moving to the music, before detaching herself from him.
And then she reentered the crowd, finding another man to attach herself to. Seeing that she had just switched guys like that several more gathered around, eager to be in her path when she changed again. The man she had picked this time realized the hounds were closing in and held onto her almost possessively. It was rather cute the amount of effort the men were putting up, just like it was cute how she and her sister could shift the tides as they saw fit by moving about the room. Risa closed her eyes and let the music take over her body and trusted it to the blonde boy to do the behind the scenes work.

In the few scant moments that Risa and the blonde Minish had been dancing, Freya's movements had gathered the attention of almost all the bar. Save for a few who's eyes still lingered on Risa, and the blonde, who obviously would be paying attention to her, all eyes were on her. And yet, despite this, she seemed not to notice, or to care. She was acting on pure, almost animalistic instinct, her hair writhing around her waist like a nest of magnificent green vipers, twisting and tempting all those around her, obscuring her slender frame before revealing it once again. Her hips swayed hypnotically, her arms snaking out out around her chosen adoring subject, pulling him tight to herself, before grinning ferally, shoving him down onto a nearby vacant seat.
He got to his feet shakily, but she had already moved on, his disappointment, verging on anguish evident in his eyes, but ignored by all. She stood in the middle, swaying, spiralling, every part of her body moving in time with the rhythm the bard was struggling to maintain. She smiled, fixing the occasional man with a gaze that brought at least three to their knees. Though she didn't think on it, there were few men, least of all intoxicated men, who could resist the wiles of a nymph for very long. Least of all Freya and Risa. She wove her way over to her sister, sandwiching the fortunate, or unfortunate man she had picked, causing a tidal wave of whoops and cat-calls, much to her delight. She called out above the noise.
We're centre-stage again sis!
A huge grin was plastered upon her face, as she circled around the pair, doing as much to entertain the crowd as possible as the two in the middle dance, before pulling another unwitting man into the 'ring of honour' as she imagined it, giggling a little at the fact, the sound almost making him collapse on the spot, before the began to dance. Her movements mirrored Risa's identically, without even so much as thinking it. Kindred spirits? Well, they were kin, and they were spirits of a sort!
