It was nice to finally get out again.
There were a few pressing matters that needed to be handled in the sacred grove, matters that Titania needed to be there for. However, those matters had now been dealt with, and as a result Titania was back out in Hyrule Town, simply enjoying the scenery again.
As she walked down the road through the market area, she was greeted by multiple people, some trying to sell her things, some merely trying to get an eyeful of her. It had been a long time since that had bothered her. Staring may be creepy, but it certainly wasn't illegal.
She eventually found herself in front of a stall selling assorted cabbages. She may not like cabbages a whole lot, but her little furry friends loved it, and that's what was important. Purchasing the best head and putting it away, she moved on through the center of town, simply enjoying her time here while it lasted.

There were so many sights and smells to behold. Her keen canine senses were on full blast. Her cute little button nose was crinkled as she sniffed the air. It was hard to identify exactly what she was smelling, aside from the obvious... people, and food. But just what delicious food was it that she was smelling? There was always a selection in the Market, and with all of the smells melting together, she couldn't quite tell what it was that was so tasty...
Jamie drooped her shoulders as she pouted, a light grumbling could be heard coming from her stomach. "Oh dear, I am really starving..." Her hand lifted momentarily to dig through her robes in search of any sort of money. Minish were notorious for collecting shiny things, especially shiny things like Rupees... This Minish, however, was broke.
The poor Minish chief clutched her empty stomach. Her stomach was just about as empty as her coin purse... With a sigh, Jamie shuffled through the market, staring at the stalls with pathetic puppy dog eyes. Who could ignore a cute face like that?[/style] |

Titania was walking through the stalls when she came upon a worrisome sight. This poor girl was indeed hungry, as she clutched her stomach, it was clear this girl had to eat. Quickly Titania pulled out the cabbage she had purchased for her furry friend and approached this poor girl.
"Hey there." It was at that moment, coming closer, that she noticed the eyes. Those adorable eyes that drew Titania in like a siren's song. Only eyes a minish could have.
"Awwww" she squeed and immediately fell in love with the girl. No one with a heart could resist. And Titania had a big heart.
Titania handed the she-wolf her head of cabbage, smiling. "Here, you need this more than I do. I won't take no for an answer." Whether or not Jamie agreed, she now felt herself with a head of cabbage. Not exactly a full meal, but when you were scrounging for food one didn't have room to be picky. Besides, if Titania asked for more she could easily have it.

She blinked and looked down to see some cabbage. Her eyes followed the hand that held the cabbage all the way up until she saw the woman who was offering it to her. Suddenly, Jamie grew a little nervous. She was indeed hungry, and this woman was being so super kind by offering her this food! But Jamie did not like cabbage... In fact, as soon as the smell wafted into her keen canine nose, her nose crinkled lightly. It did not smell that great...
Jamie would feel simply awful if she declined the request though, so she gently took the cabbage with a nervous chuckle. "Oh, ah... thank you so much!" Her little pink tongue shot out of her mouth to give the cabbage a small lick. "It is very delicious." The lick turned into a small bite. Jamie could feel the hair bristle on the back of her neck. Cabbage just did not taste good! But to her hungry stomach, it really wasn't all that bad...
When she finished chewing and swallowing her minuscule bite, Jamie smiled to the kind woman. "Thank you, really! You are a kind soul. My name is Jamilen Shi'larra to el Nolbrae, but you can call me Jamie. Someday, I will find a way to repay you!" Jamie bowed deeply, with the cabbage still in her grasp. She bowed so deeply that her hair fell past her shoulders and her butt was sorta sticking up in the air. Her ink-dipped tail wagged in the air as well. This day was beginning to look up![/style] |

Titania bowed back to the kind wolf, who seemed to want the cabbage, but not really enjoy it. Titania wasn't exactly planning handouts today, if she did she might have had something a bit more substantial than the head she just provided.
"Cabbage, to be fair, is kind of icky on its own. Like a good man it needs to be well-dressed. Anyway, my name is Titania. For someone accepting handouts, you certainly have a long title." Titania glanced behind Jamie, watching her dipped tail wag with joy. "And quite the selection in apparel." Of course, by this time Titania was indeed curious as to why a well-dressed minish with a title was walking around the stalls of Hyrule hungry. But regardless, this one did seem like good fun.
"Perhaps we should go through these stalls and pick out something to supplement the cabbage. Something with actual flavor." Quickly she began to look over some of the foods in the other stalls, pondering which ones would work best.

She held the corner of her sleeve and held the loose end up in front of her mouth and nose as she giggled. Cabbage should be well dressed... like a man? Such thoughts had never crossed Jamie's mind before, but as she thought on it, maybe it was true... How embarrassing it was to talk about men~ This wolf longed for love, but her heart was naive~
As Titania offered a change of subject, Jamie happily agreed. "Yes, let us see what these lovely, hard-working vendors have to offer us. I am sure it is all delicious!" Jamie let her arm drop as she skipped up next to the other woman. She didn't want to be left behind! As Jamie's eyes wandered over the goods, she slipped a hand into the long portions of her sleeves. From there, she pulled out a little coin purse. Inside were a few green rupees, and one blue one.
For the Minish Chief, she really was poor. She did come from a very traditional tribe too, however... Jamie just wished she could have a little spending money in times like these. With a sigh, her shoulders slumped. "Well at least I have a little something..." The wolf sighed softly. She'd just have to pick something she really, really wanted and make sure it wouldn't go to waste.[/style] |

Unfortunately for Titania, she had no idea this was a summit meeting. A Minish chief looking for fun and a queen gallivanting away on an adventure, the two seemed to have similar views of governing. However, Titania's sharp eyes were focused on trying to find some food for a poor minish girl, her good deed for the day.
Titania's nose began to detect a sharp smell of goat cheese. Cheese was always a good addition to a meal, and with this it would certainly counter the bland uninteresting cabbage.
"That's alright Jamie, put your money away. This round is on me." She reached into her travel bag and pulled out a purple rupee. She always traveled heavy just in case. Almost immediately a couple of the nearby vendors attempted to catch her attention, thinking she might currently be the biggest spender in the district. When a beautiful woman catches one eye and a beautiful rupee the other, you know you've got them. Street vendors were so predictable.
"And now that the vendors have realized that we are the prime customers today, go ahead and pick out what you would like." She turned to the wolf and winked. The fairy had done her part.

There was some fine looking vegetables, and some ripened fruit... There was cheese and even a selection of sweets! Her little pink tongue shot out of her mouth as she licked her lips. How delicious it all looked...
She was suddenly shot out of her little daydream when Titania offered to pay. "Whaa!? Are you... are you sure?" Jamie looked at her in disbelief. A stranger was offering to pay for her meal. How... kind! Jamie clasped her hands in front of her, her fingers laced together. "Thank you so much, Titania. You are a very kind soul." To say thank you once more, Jamie bowed deeply. It just seemed to be a normal Jamie thing.
As she gazed back up, Jamie noticed the fairy wink at her, and she returned the action with a smile. "Thank you..." Her gaze returned to the food. "Maybe... an apple and some strawberries! And a little piece of this fruit tart..." Sweets were always so hard to resist. Even though Jamie knew they were unhealthy, they were still so yummy to eat!
She wiggled in anticipation of her treats. She just hoped she didn't purchase too much...[/style] |

Titania nodded her head. "I always do what I can to help." While Jamie picked out some fruits and sweets, Titania was off finding herself another head of cabbage, as well as some wrapped sweetrolls. Perhaps she might have one for herself, but they were great as a lure. Then, like she said she would, she paid each vendor for each purchase that Jamie was making. She was true to her word, and soon each vendor was paid, and even better Titania's pouch was still well-stocked.
When they reconvened Titania had her food purchases and looked back to Jamie, ruffling her hair with a smile. "See? Aren't you the luckiest minish in Hyrule? Now we need a place to sit down and enjoy. I know a nice spot. Follow me." She slung her bag back over her shoulder and walked off. Now was a time to ask a couple of questions that have been bugging her.
"So I have to ask you, your outfit, your markings, they don't really seem to be the dressings of a hungry beggar. Call it a hunch, but you weren't always poor, were you?" Titania wasn't convinced that Jamie wasn't keeping something hidden from her, though Titania couldn't imagine why. A very strange one, this girl was.

She did not want to seem greedy! Jamie's tail wagged lightly and she nodded. She obediently began to follow Titania to wherever she was going.
As they walked, Jamie listened intently to her questions... but she felt a pit in her stomach. Jamie was not one to gloat or even brag, she was a humble soul, and did not like to show off her status if she did not need to. However, Titania seemed to be quite the intuitive one, and it seemed she was catching on... Jamie gulped and shook her head. "No, actually... I come from a very wealthy family. You see..." Jamie stopped for a moment to bow again, this time introducing herself in a very formal manner.
"You see... I am Jamilen Shi'larra to el Nolbrae... Chief of the Minish..." And then came the shame. The Minish Chief had to nearly beg for food. If only she wasn't on a slightly rebellious streak, then she could go back home and ask for some Rupees! Jamie's mood visibly changed. Her ears wilted and her tail stopped wagging. To keep up with Titania, she began to scuffle her feet along the ground, instead of skipping merrily alongside her like she had done before.
She felt like such a disgrace to her family.[/style] |

And suddenly Titania felt bad for asking. She didn't expect the poor girl to be the Minish Chief, clearly on the run from her duties, not unlike Titania, except Titania went back every so often to check up on things.
Titania picked up Jamie's head and embraced the girl, giving her a big hug. She shouldn't be sad, but she was. There were many who would have adored her position, yet here she was, Minish Chief on the run.
"It's ok, I know how you feel. In my own way, we're not too different. Name's Titania. I'm the queen of the fairies." There. It was said. This was now a summit meeting. The Minish chief and the Fairy queen together eating sweets.
Think Titania. Poor runaway chief. How to make her feel better. Don't pry, be soft, be supportive. Don't look down. She had so many question she wanted to ask, but she didn't want to put the poor girl down. She was already sad as is.
"Perk up Jamie, you're among friends. You're not as adorable when you're sad." Maybe that was too supportive, but it was true. It took Titania willpower to not start scratching Jamie behind the ear. Minish were as adorable as the animals they represented.

Titania seemed like a much better leader than Jamie could ever be. For one, she was so sure of herself, and she was able to keep her funds under control... Jamie took a deep sigh and allowed herself to melt into the hug. She wrapped her arms slowly around her companion and nuzzled a little.
"Hyuu... Okay, I will cheer up. I am sorry if I was being a downer." Jamie allowed her tail to wag a little, to show she was indeed trying her best to cheer up. A soft smile appeared on her lips. "So are we close to the eating spot?"
If anything could cheer Jamie up, it was good company and good food. She couldn't wait to dig into her sweets.[/style] |

Titania smiled as Jamie appeared to perk up, indicated the wagging of her tail. It was good to see her try at least. With the Minish, especially the canine ones, their tails were better indicators than their faces.
Eventually they reached a small area within the town, a small patch of grass within the residential area for people to come and relax. Titania motioned to Jamie. "This is the spot. It's like a picnic area for the residents. Of course, everyone is welcome. Come on, let's eat." Titania parked herself on the grass and pulled out the first of her sweets before taking a bite of her sweetrolls. Her face lit up with a big smile. "Yummy!"

Jamie obediently followed, her tail still wagging in the process. Today was going to be a fun day, she could tell. It was beautiful outside, and the little park that Titania had led her to was very peaceful. It seemed to be away from all the hustle and bustle of the main city. Jamie could see herself coming back to this spot many, many times.
Jamie followed suit and began to sit down next to Titania. She had to hold her dress as she knelt, however. Jamie didn't want to show anything off that needn't be shown! Once she landed softly on the ground, she sat with her legs to the side. She dug into her little satchel to pull out one of the many treats she had purchased. A ripe, red and plump strawberry was the first thing she pulled from her bag. Jamie stared at it with wide eyes. "It looks so delicious." Indeed it was. That first bite made Jamie squeal. The farmers of the market took very good care of their plants, she could tell. Jamie at her first strawberry quickly and happily.
"You know..." Jamie said, as she began her second strawberry, "I can make yummy cherry cakes. I will make you some someday, Titania! I just need the ingredients first." Jamie threw away the stem of the strawberry and happily licked her lips. "Maybe that's how I can repay you!" Jamie turned to face Titania with a hopeful look and a wag in her tail. "Would that be acceptable?"

Titania began to bite into her sweetroll with increased vigor. Before long the entire treat was long gone. A marvelous job as always. Of course, Jamie was enjoying her strawberries. Her squeal was indicative of that.
Jamie then began to discuss repayment, in the form of cherry cakes. Once again, Titania's gaze was drawn to the wagging tail. It was adorable that she thought she needed to pay her fellow leader back. Though the thought of cherry cakes was quite enticing. Finally looking Jamie in the eye, she slowly shook her head no.
"I thought we established this Jamie, there is no need for you to repay me. I did this for you because I thought you needed it. And because it was the right thing to do. And because your tail is adorable. That being said, cherry cakes do sound delicious." Patting Jamie on the head, Titania looked at her and smiled. Perhaps this was the most fun summit meeting ever. And if the sequel involved cherry cakes, it would only get better.
Titania pulled out another sweetroll and began to dig in, laying back on the grass and letting its soft cushiony feel wash over her back. "Where would you find cherries? I don't remember any growing in Faron, and I don't normally keep them in the grove, though some merchants have brought them in in the past." It was one of those odd things that Titania didn't know, despite it seeming obvious and unimportant.
